1 comments about Appetizers: Recipes for First Course or Main Event.
- I was interested to find several Middle Eastern-inspired selections in this beautifully-photographed book of first course recipes. The Fava Bean and Artichoke Salad was simple and delicious. Eggplant Roasted Couscous melded Middle-Eastern flavors for a tasty side dish with beef or chicken.

2 comments about Atkins Holiday Recipes: Celebrate the Season with More Than 160 Low-Carb Dishes.
- If you're committed to the low-carb lifestyle, there is no reason to keep these recipes for holidays. I'm more interested in eating well EVERY day, and there are some lovely recipes in this book. Beautiful photography, nice quality paperback. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I wish there were more recipes for Phase I (which I sometimes have to stay in for a while when I "fall off the wagon").
- The Atkins have created yet again another beautiful cookbook. The recipes are delicious that holiday cooking for the low carber is a breeze. Most recipes will be well received even by those not on a low carb plan. Ingredients are easy to find the the results are really delicious. Add this one to your collection of low carb healthy eating cookbooks.

1 comments about A Little Something: More Than 150 Snacks, Appetizers, And Hors D'oeuvres For Every Craving And Occasion.
- The title of this wonderful little book really captures the essence of what's inside; these simple recipes offer interesting, elegant - and yet uncomplicated - twists on standard dishes, and have proven to be very reliable. This is an excellent resource when you don't have much time to prepare for last-minute entertaining. It's also lots of fun for those of us who like to use freash herbs from the garden! And the book itself is a great gift idea.

1 comments about Salads: Innovative Main Courses, Appetizers, Desserts, and More.
- The salads in this book are combinations of ingredients I was not familiar with but with the little extra effort I made delicious "gourmet" salads and learned a little more about different kinds of vegetables and oils / vinegars.
I have made 4 salads so far: Soba noodle salad with tofu, mushrooms, smoked paprika, cumin almonds, bok choy with wasabi dressing; warm salad of Chorizo, olives, potatoes, peas, and green beans with aruggula and cripsy onion rings (my favorite so far, hand made beer-battered onion rings); thai-styled beef salad with cilantro, mint, lime, and peanuts; chicken, shrimp, avacado, pecan and mango salad with baby gem, watercress, and sprouts.
What I like most about the recipes is its daring approach of ingredients and they are healthy, natural ingredients, lots of rich dark greens with one-of-a kind dressings. Most recipes probably need about an hour or so prep time so plan accordingly.

2 comments about Tuna Recipes Appetizers to Zucchini.
- This cookbook is relevant to everyone feeling the pinch of rising food prices and tuna is still one of the more reasonable staples with which to prepare meals. This book offers some fresh new ways to prepare tuna meals as well as some of the tried and true.
- If you are a fan of tuna this is a great little recipe book. It would be the perfect book for someone on a tight budget e.g. a college student. If you use the albacore tuna as I do it may not be quite as economical but it is healthful and the meals are quite inventive.
The author has added items to tuna which I would have been reluctant to use such as wasabe paste and pineapple. It happens to be a great mix!
Recipes range from the usual to the distinctive.
