5 comments about Kensington 33374 Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer.
- I got this as a gold box deal for less that $20. I got it due to the price. I wanted to use this with Linux, but alas, my app doesn't work with it. Very disappointed about that. Mostly why I give it three stars.
But, it feels nice in the hand, it's substantial, and the buttons are placed nicely. I really wish it had worked on my app, as it felt really nice to use. If I was using powerpoint presentations, I would definitely use this one.
- When I give a presentation I want to focus on my subject and my audience. I don't want distractions from fussy technology. Kensington, apparently understood that, because this wireless presenter mouse is exactly what I needed. I have used other similar devices that were bulky, complicated or otherwise difficult to use.
This presenter mouse is perfect. It fits well in your hand. It has 4 buttons that are intuitively placed. It includes a handy, integrated laser pointer. I also appreciate the built in docking port for the USB trtansmitter.
My only regret is that I did not buy two units. One to leave in my usual classroom and one to keep in my suitcase for the road shows.
- i like the Kensington wireless presenter, its simple, not very expensive and does its job. The laser also works pretty well, you can use the laser even if you dont plug in the Usb receiver into the computer. The fact the the Usb receiver is also stored inside the remote and acts as a switch, makes you not lose it. Overall, recommended.
- This unit has been a great help, as it allows presenters to walk around the room and not have to 'point' the device toward the receiver. This is the second unit I've purchased, and we use them in nearby conference rooms without interference across the 2 rooms (there was a concern that one would control the other). It allows the person who is presenting to be a good distance from the computer and it works consistently, and that makes for a much better, more engaging presentation.
- This product works great. Just plug and go. No setup necessary. The USB component stores in the main unit, which makes it very convenient. My only complaint would be that the laser is a bit on the dim side, and seems a little too faint when it's on a bright screen.

5 comments about Western Digital WDMEB3200TN My Passport Essential 320GB USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive (Intense Blue).
- wonderfully compact yet high capacity drive, but it is consistently causing kernel panics on my PowerBook. I'm running OS X, and doing Time Machine backups. the drive worked great the first few months, but now it crashes the computer (kernel panic). Our IT person can't figure it out, so I'm getting rid of it and looking to try something else.
- Its fast, slim and stylish. The red is more of a deep shade of pink. But its only 149GB and not 160GB as advertised..
- I got this USB HDD to backup photos and music. I have a 8.1 megapix camera and each photo is atleast 3 Mb (with full resolution set) and before I knew I had like 10gb of pictures. So I got this drive to store them. Also the form factor is convenient to carry and it does not require external power supply. Now I can carry all my music and photos with me.
- Received this unit quickly, and conected it to the laptop even faster....up and running in no time. Lots of memory in a small package, and works well with all my Winxp machines, although my xp-64 computer ignores it. All in all, not a bad little portable hard drive.
- I received this product very quickly and have been very satisfied with the results. Would order from them again and again.

5 comments about Cables To Go 7 Port USB 2.0 Hub.
- I try this USB HUB and it is very good ..
1- Good Quality
2- Strong Body
3- Easy to Install and use .
- I've had this about 6 months, and I've had no problems. I like that it is small. I suppose being mountable is a nice touch, though I don't use it for that. It does include a pad to stop it from sliding out of the bracket if you're not going to mount it, which I noticed some other reviewers had complained about (maybe it didn't used to come with that).
Really my only complaint is that the blue light on top is insanely bright. I can't even begin to imagine what possessed them to put an LED of that power on a tiny little USB hub, but I don't really need confirmation my hub is working from 3 miles away. I just keep the hub upside-down on my desk, as it is near my bed and too bright to sleep with.
- This is a good product at a fair price. It worked instantly and worked well. Shipment was quick and without complication.
Dorothy
- One of the best hubs that I've ever had! No loss of speed, supports both 1.1 and 2.0 at the same time, and can be separately powered if necessary (the device comes with a power adapter). It has a cool little base that allows you to attach it to a wall, or put it underneath a desk or something. This thing feels like it's built to survive a hurricane (with nearly the entire device being made of aluminum). The only thing that can get annoying is the BRIGHT blue light, especially if it's located in a bed room...
I would definitely recommend this to a friend looking for a good usb hub.
- I bought this product because the measly 3 USB ports on my laptop just weren't cutting it. (when I bought this, I only knew of 2 ports, so it was even more necessary) I have a Western Digital 1 tb external hard drive, a webcam, two flash drives, a wireless mouse, a laptop cooling fan, and a printer hooked up and it works beautifully. At first, I was worried that my mouse would be laggy but it wasn't and I was worried about the heat from so many plug-ins, but at most it gets warm. The only complaint I have is that at night, my roommate complained that the blue light on top was bright enough to throw a shadow on his side of the room. Now, I just leave my laptop open and it blocks the light.
As a college student on a stict budget, this product does what it is supposed to and I love it.

- i will never get near the capacity that this added to my camera. great. simple. fantastic price.
- Product works great. No problem being read by card reader or photos being written to it. Fast and reliable.
- it holds a lot of memory and it's not complicated. I'm glad i got it! now i wish i would've gotten something bigger hahaha.
- Product arrived quickly and in good condition. Used for several hundred pictures at 8 megapixels and is not full yet!
- There is not much to say about this item,if you have a memory card for a game console this is pretty much the same thing, and if you don't well this is an item to give you camera more memory.

5 comments about Linksys WRT54GS Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster.
- Freedom from going into the basement to the main computer. Two bars from the basement to the second floor on the other side of the house gives good quick response to internet access. The only problem was the set up, for some reason I had a very hard time setting up and then making the system secure. Finally it is set up and working well for over a month now.
- I am a Verizon DSL and iMac user of no great technical prowess. To enable my son to go online with his Dell laptom, I added the Linksys WRT54Gs to the mix. Setup required a toll-free call to Linksys technical support--it turned out that the Westell 6100 DSL modem and the Linksys WRT54GS had the same default IP address assignment. The tech guided me through changing the Linksys' IP. Since then, everything has worked without problems. The router's signal is adequate for our 3-bedroom house.
- I bought this item today. I am into software so I know to some extent what I was doing to setup the router. I have 2 laptops(Windows XP,Vista ). First connected the router followed the instructions by the CD and switched on the router the software was not deducting the router and said error 322 router not found.
Tried several times, same result in both the laptops with different operating systems.Reset the modem, router still same issues. The software still could not go beyond detecting the router. Finally gave up and called the customer service. Like a reviewer earlier said it was frustrating, I had to drop off the call and try myself. Unsuccessful I called again and this time a lady walked me through the set up. They basically make you ping your local host via the IE and setup the rest of the installation for you. Overall it took me 2.5 hours to set up the router. The performance of the router is very good. That's why 4 stars.
But I am not sure why the software would not deduct the router in first place. When router is deducted, setup is a breeze in 5 mts. The firmware says v7.2.
- The router does everything I hoped it would do. It's such a pleasure to be able to sit anywhere in the house and surf the internet, and share files back and forth. The router was easy to install and worked right away.
- This item shipped fast from Amazon (3 days), but the product and customer service are annoying. The installation cd did not do the auto-setup that everyone talks about, even though I have XP. Had to call the special Linksys customer service line specially designated for Amazon, supposedly faster and better than Linsys proper. The first person who answered is rude. Then I waited for 25 minutes to get someone on line, only after literally, going thru over 25 menu options to get to a technician. The technician worked thoroughly and carefully to get everything done, but it was a 45 minute trouble-shooting process. Downloaded firmware and set up the router manually, and even had to assign a new IP address to my computer. All that and I ony get one reception bar and intermittant connectivity in my art studio, which is about 100 feet from the router.

5 comments about Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB Headset.
- I received these about 6 days ago, and from the first moment I put them on, I knew the older Logitech USB 350 Premium were better. Although I've had no option that adapting to the sound of these (as my old ones stopped working after 2 years of severe usage, and that's because I started traveling with them), the bass quality is noticeably lower. On top of that, the overall volume that these can achieve is incredibly lower than the old 350s. Previously, I wouldn't have ever thought of listening to music with the volume set at 100% (unless I wanted to self-inflict some damage), but with these I listen to Metallica's Death Magnetic at the loudest volume possible, and still be left hungry for more, which is ridiculous, specially when listening to a pretty heavy album like that.
Physically, I'm actually scared I might break these virtually every time I use them. I usually like when companies make lighter products, but the plastic material of these feels way too fragile. I can't say for sure they'll break as I've only had them for a few days, but because of the numerous reviews on how the USB component is weakly manufactured, I plugged these in an USB extension cable the first time I opened the box and I haven't nor I intend to unplug them from it, out of fear they might break in too. I'm actually set on buying the old 350s again the second these break. They just feel "breakish". I hope I'm wrong on this.
I have a big head. By expanding these feels I feel like I'm going to break them every time. 350s are pretty robust and never too heavy on the user. It's pretty serious.
Overall, I should've done like my friend who ordered a second pair of his 350s instead of upgrading like I did. The others are cheaper and way better. It's still a good product and everyone falls in love with them, but for someone who's used the previous USB headset iteration by Logitech will not be impressed.
- I brought this headphone for recording and skype conversation. It worked great with my windows vista 64 bits and also with Skype. The voice quality is great. If you wear the headset for a longer time, it does starting after a while.
- I purchased this headset to try out speech recognition software. It's comfortable and plugs into the USB port which I found very convenient. The problem is, the mouth piece doesn't go out far enough to adequately catch sound and the attached mic doesn't really help much. Thankfully, when I purchased my speech recognition software, it came with its own headset which looks cheaper than this one, but works 10x better. This headset was not worth the money.
- the sound quality is much better then my last headset and the noise canceling is one of the best i've seen. the only improvement i could see is how firm the padding is on them, however this is really only noticed after 3-4+ hours of having them on while gaming.
- This headset did work with my vista system but I could not get it to work with my XP system. I would get the message driver not found. Logitech support was no help at all (they directed me to Windows support).

5 comments about Brother HL-2170w 23ppm Laser Printer with Wireless & Wired Network Interfaces.
- The Brother HL-2170w is a fantastic little printer. Print quality and speed are good; much higher than low-end printers from even just a few years back. I'm also impressed with the relatively low paper curl from such a small printer.
I took one star off for the Mac OS X wireless setup being trickier than necessary, as other reviewers have commented upon. However, once setup is complete, the printer just works. We've run a few varieties of specialty media such as labels through it, and those work great as well.
This printer is a fantastic combination of quality, price, and convenience for home or small office use.
- WHAT ELSE DO U WANT ... WIRELESS LASER PRINTER FOR $90. FAST, GOOD QUALITY PRINTING
- The Brother HL-2170w is a great product, doesn't take up much space, and prints flawlessly. A great feature is that the paper tray is enclosed so that the paper doesn't get dusty.
- Had read a number of negative reviews concerning difficulty in setting up the wireless network connection, but had NO problems at all. Worked the first time and has performed flawlessly since.
It doesn't do all that well with hi-res graphics, but images are acceptable. Works fine for text.
Would recommend for SOHO or home use without reservation based on a month's worth of experience.
FWIW, the new Brother driver from the website seems to be an improvement over the one on the CD that comes with the printer.
- Bought the Brother HL-2170w printer to help me with my consulting business, to print b/w documents inexpensively for things like short letters, etc. The Brother MFC-685CW ink jet printer I already had hooked to my wireless network with no effort at all, and I expected the same with the 2170. Well, spent half a Saturday trying to get this to work on my network, and finally got it to work, kind of. I was shocked how hard it was to do and it lost the connection every time this thing went to "sleep."
I saw one review that suggested letting Windows (I am using Vista) install the printer, which I tried. No luck, Vista could not find the printer on the network to install. I finally used a cable to connect this problem child to my router (which is no small task with the layout in my home), got it to work, only to have it again not work when it was moved to its proper place and used on the wireless network. I followed the instructions to the letter, and finally got it to print over the wireless network by simply reinstalling until it worked (following the same instructions every time!) But when it went to sleep, it would not wake when a document was printed. I need to go over to the printer, turn it off and then back on again, to get the document to print.
I would be inclined to blame Vista, but my color inkjet, also made by Brother, works so well it cannot be a Vista problem. I am very disappointed in the performance of this printer as used on a wireless network. If you are interested in this printer because of the wireless feature, look elsewhere, you will be happy you did.

5 comments about Logitech Premium Notebook Headset.
- I got this for gaming. It's incredibly difficult to manage the typing and action in some games. Some of the people I play with don't type at all, they're all miked in and I miss a bunch of the action.
This worked great. The sound quality was excellent. It was plug-and-play. I didn't have to struggle with it at all. My laptop is not top-of-the-line and it's getting creaky old (as laptops go), so I wasn't expecting great things. The sound in the headphones is better than what I get through my system speakers.
- By far the best pair of portable headphones I have owned. The bass and treble on this set is amazing. Love the carrying case and the USB sound card (included with the headset) adds a cherry on top. I highly recommend it to anyone who works on their laptop a lot and is always on the go.
- I needed to find a headset so i can talk to a fellow law enforcement buddy of mine via MSN messenger. When i got my headset i was able to set it up with no problems. the other headset i got i had a lot of problems right from day one. so far this one is great.i can hear him clearly and it doesn't cut out what im saying to him, it is also comfy to wear for a long time and it doesn't hurt or bug my ears. if you need a headset get this one.
- I used it for three days and the unit broke. Sounds fine, but the materials are very flimsy and you can break it so easy. Had to return to Amazon for refund.
I would not but this again.
- This is s pretty good headset, especially for the price. Sound quality is very good. Negatives are: 1) the speaker doesn't work with the USB connection, only with the separate mic and speaker jacks (at least on my laptop, an IBM ThinkPad); 2) the ear pieces could use more padding - they become uncomfortable on long calls (e.g., 1 hour).

- This my 3rd 16 gid card that I have bought by Transend. Is this tell you something about the card? It should! It is the best bang for the buck for
16 gig high startage cards.
- Fast memory and it basically reduces the necessity to carry a laptop around to download the pictures from your machine.
- I've been using Transcend brand SD cards for a couple years now and have been very happy with them. There have been many tests of SD cards in MP3 players and the Transcend cards usually allow the MP3 players to load much faster than other cards. I wish I had ordered the other Transcend package though because it's the same price as this card but comes with a mini card reader.
- used expedited shipping option w/Amazon Prime. Got product shipped notification the seller the next day, but product didn't actually ship until 3 days later. :(

- What more can you say - the microphone just works under Ubuntu Linux for Skype. It doesn't pick up interference from the speakers when doing skype calls. Can't get it to work for audio recording, but that is probably due to my lack of linux skills than the device itself.
- No problems with this microphone. Works as expected. Worth the price of $20.
Picks up my voice from 2 feet away. Enough for Rosetta Stone to determine if my pronunciation was accurate.
- Simple and easy to use. Plug in, press button. :)
While I'm not familar with a lot of mics, I have gotten complimented quite a few times on the clarity of this one.
- I was kind of iffy upon purchasing this item so I could talk with my friends over chatting systems, but this item proved be wrong!! It's better than I had thought!! When I was talking with one friend, he said he could hear dogs from outside my window, airplanes flying over my house, trains that echoed through the dead of night! It was awesome! I know on most programs it blocks out background sound, but this microphone on programs such as Skype certainly doesn't do that, not that it matters. This item is worth your money! Guarantee!
- I ordered a Plantronics headset and mic initially, but the earphones bothered me. This is much better, and I don't have to be on top of the mic for it to understand my dictation.
