5 comments about Kingston 4GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Card (SD6/4GB).
  1. This card works great in both of my Canon cameras (XSi and A590). No problems.

  2. More memory, cheap price! What's not to like? I now have three of these Kingston cards, all work flawlessly. The included adapter works well. Just make sure you have a SDHC card reader! I did not have one, and a regular SD card reader will not detect an SDHC, so I had to order a USB SDHC reader as well. Don't worry though, the readers are cheap and well worth it to get the extra storage capacity of an SDHC card.

  3. Tested with an old SanDisk SD card reader and my LG phone. Works as it should.

  4. This is the memory card you want for your camera if you are planning a long trip or vacation. It holds over 1200 pictures (at least on my old camera). Oddly enough, I didn't use it on the trip I bought it for, but now use it as I have pictures on my smaller 528 MB card that I don't want to delete yet. Plus, it's always good to have a second card, just in case.

  5. Product works great in my Pentax Optio W30 (which as far as I can tell does not specify SDHC compatibility to get beyond the 4GB limit of regular SD). Now I have more than enough room on vacations without having to swap cards. Fast save, fast viewing. I am pleased. Kingston costs a bit more but their products tend to be higher quality and grief free.

P.S. YMMV on whether SDHC will work in your pre-SDHC device.

5 comments about SanDisk SDCZ6-4096-A11 4GB Cruzer Micro USB Flash Drive (Black).
  1. Everthing about this product is great! Sandisk has done it again. Liked it so much I bought 2 and am considering buying 2 more for the family. Highly recommend this product and the company I selected to get it from got both to me in just a few days.

  2. 4GB is great for saving and transporting images in our art department.
San Disk has always been a reliable product. Thank you.

  3. The drive is good; the retractable usb plug and key chain attachment is very convenient. The only reason why I wouldn't give this 5 stars is because of the stupid U3 software that comes with it. Fortunately SanDisk released a patch on their site that gets rid of this disgusting thing. I also heard reformatting the drive works too (just don't put anything in it yet).

  4. As USB Flash Cruzer works fine. But its U3 applications are not very reliable. For, example, EverNote (Microsoft Office OneNote like program) sometimes lunches, sometimes doesn't. Seems to be, it has mind of its own to decide when to work and when don't. May be reason for it that I have Vista. Who knows? With Microsoft you never know what is compatible and what isn't. But game Atlantis works fine. (Big relief :) And its plastic body seems fragile. If you want Cruzer better buy titanium version.

  5. It works great. I keep it on my key chain and i love it. I recommend getting rid of the U3 on it. Kinda of a lame program.

5 comments about Kensington 33374 Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer.
  1. I got this as a gold box deal for less that $20. I got it due to the price. I wanted to use this with Linux, but alas, my app doesn't work with it. Very disappointed about that. Mostly why I give it three stars.

But, it feels nice in the hand, it's substantial, and the buttons are placed nicely. I really wish it had worked on my app, as it felt really nice to use. If I was using powerpoint presentations, I would definitely use this one.

  2. When I give a presentation I want to focus on my subject and my audience. I don't want distractions from fussy technology. Kensington, apparently understood that, because this wireless presenter mouse is exactly what I needed. I have used other similar devices that were bulky, complicated or otherwise difficult to use.
This presenter mouse is perfect. It fits well in your hand. It has 4 buttons that are intuitively placed. It includes a handy, integrated laser pointer. I also appreciate the built in docking port for the USB trtansmitter.
My only regret is that I did not buy two units. One to leave in my usual classroom and one to keep in my suitcase for the road shows.

  3. i like the Kensington wireless presenter, its simple, not very expensive and does its job. The laser also works pretty well, you can use the laser even if you dont plug in the Usb receiver into the computer. The fact the the Usb receiver is also stored inside the remote and acts as a switch, makes you not lose it. Overall, recommended.

  4. This unit has been a great help, as it allows presenters to walk around the room and not have to 'point' the device toward the receiver. This is the second unit I've purchased, and we use them in nearby conference rooms without interference across the 2 rooms (there was a concern that one would control the other). It allows the person who is presenting to be a good distance from the computer and it works consistently, and that makes for a much better, more engaging presentation.

  5. This product works great. Just plug and go. No setup necessary. The USB component stores in the main unit, which makes it very convenient. My only complaint would be that the laser is a bit on the dim side, and seems a little too faint when it's on a bright screen.

5 comments about SanDisk 8 GB Extreme III CF Card SDCFX3-008G-A31 (Retail Package).
  1. Works fine w/ my Canon 30D. I'm not into utilizing high-speed photography so I can't really comment on transfer speeds but it works great for me.

  2. This card is super fast and works great in my Canon 40d. Damn near zero lag with snapping pics super fast. The only thing I don't like about this card is the price. In recessionary times like this with falling memory prices this card and others like it should be much cheaper by now... about 50% cheaper. I expect over the next few months the price of these cards will drop significantly, too bad I couldn't wait until then. If your looking for speed , make sure you get the SanDisk FireWire card reader too. It transfers at about 1 gigabyte per minute, which is fast...Dont get the USB card reader because its not as fast. Anything less than Extreme III sucks if you need to snap pictures fast.

  3. Like most other cards, this one does the job. I can count on the fact that this is a quality card with a lifetime guarantee. It writes and downloads fast.

  4. what an invention!!! I put this in my Canon Rebel XT (8 megapixle) and the lcd showed that I had 999 pictures left on the SanDisk.. that's the highest number my canon will dislplay. haha. I took 1341 pictures at once with this and it wasn't even half way full. and that is using my full resolution at 8 megapixels... which came out to be 3-4 megabites per picture

  5. I bought this specifically for my Canon dSLR and it works great. No problems at all and I used about 4GB, so far on RAW pictures plus JPEGs. I highly recommend it.

5 comments about Bamboo (Small) Pen Tablet with Pen Only.
  1. I purchased this product and very happy with the features. With the normal mouse my hand used start getting crams after a use for a while and bamboo pen tablet really helped me.
The best thing I loved about it is it got recognized by Ubuntu desktop and worked perfect with Gimp. I can now continue my painting/Drawing hobby which I left long back. The pen perfectly fits in the hand. The normal active area of 4x6 inches covers the complete 1600x1050 screen. Best part which I was not knowing before purchase and that was you do not have to touch the pen to the pad for moving th pointer. it senses the pen from a distance and have to touch the pad only for mouse clicks or drawing and the feature is exciting. This also reduces the wearing of the pen tip.
I feel it a very great gift for teens who are interested in painting and love working on Ubuntu. Also a good tool for the Project managers who work on Microsoft Onenote and presentation tools.

I got a software CW on Ubuntu and it is cool for your handwriting recognition, you just need to train the software properly. Now I do not have to upgrade my windows XP to vista for windows recognition software. I get it for free with my Ubuntu desktop too.

    Con:
This con really do not matter for the normal user who do not use dual operating system. I use Synergy - freeware tool for sharing the keyboard and mouse of another computer running windows XP over network http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/. I got a problem sharing Bamboo with my Windows box. the active area is only avaibale to work with my Ubuntu box but I cannot extend it to work over the network through synergy. I do not think this is a must feature but would love to see it getting shared between two computers through synergy.

In nutshell I am very happy with the product and have recommended it to many of my collegues and friends. Don't worry about the con I mentioned above because it is really for advanced users.
    :-)

  2. I had always wanted a Bamboo Tablet and when I got one, I was not disappointed. I am a Photoshop Digital Scrapbooking maniac and my Bamboo is so amazing. It gives me ultimate control over what I'm working on. Actually, I love it for moving my cursor around quickly with any software. It's so different from a mouse, I had to get adjusted to it. But now that I have, I love it.

I read in a scrapbooking magazine to cover the writing area with plastic to keep it pristine. I had a piece of mylar so I used that. It works very well.

It feels good. It works well. I'm happy.

  3. Bought in April, by August it was flaky. Now, one button does not work at all. Called tech support and the technician was superior and rude.
Might try to send in but can't be without a mouse for 10 - 15 business days (over 2 weeks!)
Wacom used to be a better product. Now, it is cheaper but not as rock solid. My first one lasted for years. Now, they burn out in 12-18 months. too bad.
I think I will explore other brands before purchasing another Wacom.

  4. I'm an instructor and I use this quite a bit for drawing up concepts for my students instead of using the flipchart. Works great!

  5. This is an awesome little tablet, and the price was fantastic. It has a nice feel with good control as if you're drawing on paper, and it's also pressure sensitive. I use it with CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop, and my embroidery digitizing software. This tablet was very easy to set up and use. As far as receiving this item, it came right away. I think I ordered it over the weekend, and it was here on Monday. Great product, excellent service.

  1. I bought this to use with my PSP and it works great and has tons of space but I am kinda pissed that there is no adaptor included as it is mentioned in the description !!

5 comments about Motorola 484095-001-00 Signal Booster.
  1. I read reviews that said this thing worked great but it didn't do much for me. Not saying it doesn't work at all, because I did get a couple more channels on my Comcast digital cable but it's still far from perfect.

  2. I purchase this to use with my DTV antenna that I am installing on my roof. I have to split the signal 8-ways, so a signal booster is called for. This booster seemed like a good one since it did not have any gimmicky splitters built in like others I have seen. My house has a big central wiring panel and I have a very good splitter in the panel.

I know that putting the booster when there is only one cable/TV unit in the line and the signal is already good is not going to help; it actually can deteriorate the signal. This did exactly that. But, once I hooked up this amplifier to the exterior antenna and then to the house splitter (I only have 3 TVs hooked up, but since the splitter is an 8-way splitter it is still dropping the signal) everything worked much better than I expected! I have no signal loss at my DTV receivers. I find this hard to believe, but that is what the meters say on the receivers. There is no difference between having the antenna cable hooked up directly to 1 TV and having the booster, the splitter and the three TVs/receivers.

I should remove the booster and see what happens, but since everything is working so well I don't want to mess with it.

    I guess I lucked out.

  3. This product may work well for some people in some situations, but it did not work at all with my cable TV service transmitted to my rooftop antenna in Barbados - I got 0% improvement in signal strength. However, a tiny cheapo signal booster from the cable company did the trick in the end...kinda makes you go hmmmm.

  4. Great for boosting incoming signal.
However I was under the impresison this would allow signal back through for things like On-Demand or 2 way communication needed for a cable modem. This was not the case.
Neather Cable Modem or On-Demand would work through this booster.

  5. Well, I got this booster about a week ago. I tried to install it in several locations inside and outside the house and it didn't give me any better signal.

  1. I heard about this player from a friend and researched it on-line, then shopped it on-line (Amazon.com, of course). Got a good price and am loving my first mp3 player. I got an additional 2gb memory card and doubled the memory in this player. It plays great.

  2. The SanDisk 2 GB SD is a simple piece of technology, yet it gets the job done, simply put. Whether its storing photos on your cell phone or digital camera, or playing music and video on your MP3, this SD is all you need if you're looking for a quick solution to your storage problems. I used it for putting music on to playback on my cellphone, works perfect.

  3. This is a lot of memory for a great price. I am very happy with the purchase.

  4. Exactly what I needed for my new cellphone, no problems. I trust San Disk, always get the job done...

  5. I'm very pleased with the item. It seems like a good value. At first I wasn't sure if it was going to work with my camera, but it works just fine.

5 comments about Logitech 2.4 GHz Cordless Presenter.
  1. This is one of my favorite gadgets and the 6th Logitech Presenter I have purchased for our staff. The device is so easy to use that I don't even teach the extra features just the basics. Start a slideshow, blank the screen, forward and backward (maybe the laser pointer too). Setup is a breeze, just plug in the USB connector which is stored in the device and turn on the unit.

One final note, the presenter is 2.4GHz so you don't need to point it at anything to make it work so there are no line-of-sight issues, even the CEO used it without a problem.
    I would buy them again.
    Dave

  2. I purchased this piece to for my company to use for a series of high-level meetings. The cordless presenter worked flawlessly including no issue with plug-n-play. It feels sturdy, survived some tumbles off the podium, and battery life has not been an issue. I highly recommend this piece.

  3. It's always a problem when use it as a laser pointer. I got it in September and used only once for lecture (80 min). The second time, the laser pointer did not function, no lasing! I requested for an exchange from Amazon that responded quickly. For the second piece, I used about 5 times, and then the laser does not lase. It sucks. I do not know how to do with it. Further exchange or request for refunds? I have already discarded the package. Headache.

  4. had a microsoft presenter and had problems getting it installed and using it
decided to get a new device and thought this might be the answer
ordered it - received it as promised
used the product right out of the box
very simple installation and to use
    no issues
    works great

  5. I'm a professional speaker, and have used Logitech's original cordless presenter for years. The theft of my computer bag forced me to replace it recently, and I'm amazed that my entire "wish list" of additional features has been incorporated into this new model. The most important of those new features are a countdown timer and a battery life indicator. I only have two minor complaints: 1) the laser button is too close to the slide advance buttons (causing me to occasionally advance the slide accidentally), and 2) the device could be built more solidly: it feels cheap...like it would fall apart the first time it's dropped. Maybe they need to create an industrial-strength version for professional use.
