- i will never get near the capacity that this added to my camera. great. simple. fantastic price.
- Product works great. No problem being read by card reader or photos being written to it. Fast and reliable.
- it holds a lot of memory and it's not complicated. I'm glad i got it! now i wish i would've gotten something bigger hahaha.
- Product arrived quickly and in good condition. Used for several hundred pictures at 8 megapixels and is not full yet!
- There is not much to say about this item,if you have a memory card for a game console this is pretty much the same thing, and if you don't well this is an item to give you camera more memory.

5 comments about Sandisk 8GB Cruzer Titanium USB 2.0 Flash Drive (SDCZ7-8192-A11, Retail Package).
- I purchased the Sandisk 8GB Cruzer several weeks ago and use it weekly. My experience with it has been very positive. I have mixed feelings about the U3 that is included. I have deleted most of the programs and select from PortableApps listing. Otherwise, the product work as advertised.
- SanDisk has done it again... created yet another great flash drive! Fairly good capacity, speed is not as fast as some of their other available flash drives. Though it may not be as fast, it is crush resistant to about 2000 pounds, so even for the "accident prone" it's the perfect model.
Overall I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fairly large, high end flash drive...
- I bought this drive to store important backups and keep them with me at all times on a keyring. I'd had a Transcend and Dane Elec before. The Transcend was okay, but I wanted a metal case this time, with a more robust keyring attachment. The Dane Elec had an incredibly flimsy keyring attachment that broke the first day on my keyring, and a cap that was loose enough to fall off and get lost on the second day.
The SanDisk Titanium solves all those issues. There is no question this drive's build quality is excellent. Speed also seems excellent. Aesthetically, it is good, but not great: the titanium has a mediocre tactile quality. If I was designing the product, I'd consider applying a coating to improve the feel.
My biggest gripe is that the metal case makes a loud "clacking" sound as it bumps other things on my keyring: swiss army knife, car key, etc. I solved the problem by wrapping the drive and some of the other items with several layers of thin strips of electrical tape, but I don't like to think about the gummy mess I will have if it sits in the sun awhile on a hot day. In addition to the tactility mentioned above, a good coating could also improve this aspect of the drive. Sonically, I might be happier if I'd gotten the regular Micro Cruzer, which has a plastic case. I also imagine a kind of flash drive condom, that would mute the noise, but I have not found one yet. Leave a comment if you know of something: the flash drive cases on sale here at Amazon and at WalMart are far too bulky for a keyring.
I immediately removed SanDisk's U3 software from the drive using a download from SanDisk's web site running under Parallels on my Mac, and formatted the drive as Mac OS (Extended) using Apple Disk Utility. I have a couple of encrypted disk images on the drive for source code and other sensitive files. Free software named Mathusalem, which offers both encryption and compression, is used to perform some of the backups to the drive.
For my next boutique flash drive, I may look at Transcend again, but for now, the Titanium Cruzer gives me a reliable, sturdy drive I am proud to carry. It definitely isn't junk, and ought to satisfy you if you want eight gigs of storage you can really trust.
- This is a great product. My wife has the older 1GB titanium and I really liked the durable metal case and push out connection. Most other thumb drives have a cover which I know would be lost in a week leaving it unprotected. You have to hold the slider hard with your thumb when you push it in the usb slot or it will just slide back and not make a full connection. It's not a big deal though once I realized that.
This new 8GB model is great on space, and is half the size of the original so it's perfect if you want to use it with a lanyard around your neck. Unfortunatly sandisk no longer supplies a lanyard with these new models, but they are very nice and if you call their support line you can get them to send you one for free. Call and ask for an accessory replacement lanyard.
I did have a bit of trouble using it on my work computer, but after reading up on this I found like some others it was because of other dvd viewing/burning programs causing it to lock up. There is some sort of glitch with this making the PC think the sandisk is a CD drive and won't let you access it, only freeze up. If you have this problem just make sure you don't have any dvd software running in the background, or taskbar. It works fine on both my home PC's with winXP. I transfered some large files to it and it seems to be pretty quick, good enough for me anyway. I don't expect it to be lightning fast, just get the job done.
I spent a while researching different thumb drives before deciding on this one, and I am happy with my choice.
- The Sandisk 8GB Cruzer Titanium USB 2.0 Flash Drive is nice, but the SanDisk 8 GB Cruzer Micro is basically the same drive in a smaller body. While the sleek body of the titanium feels a little more durable, the Micro's shorter body makes it ideal for your key chain.
Like the Micro, the retractable head means you don't have to worry about losing the cap. There is a chance of getting dust in the head, so make sure to clean it from time to time with compressed air. Kingston also makes some retractable USB models as well, but in general I still prefer SanDisk.
This guy has 2, 4 and 8 GB sizes. 8GB is kind of the minimum size I would purchase at this point, since I have a ton of smaller drives already. The case is smallish, but you will have to look to the Micro if you want the smallest case out of regular USB drives out there.
The small slot and ring are not super sturdy, but they are strong enough to secure this drive. The SanDisk Cruzer Slide 8 GB USB Drive, on the other hand, has a nice attachment ring. But the trade-off is it is much bigger than the Titanium or Micro.
I make a point of obliterating the U3 software whenever I get a new drive. That way I don't have to worry about it loading itself every time I insert it. It just slows it down and I don't use those apps anyway.
Pros:
+ Great storage capacity in a brand that honors their warrantees
+ The case is small and attractive
+ The slide-back head means there is no cap to be lost
+ Durable body and NAND memory stands up to a lot of abuse
+ Compatible with old and new Mac and PC Operating Systems (XP, Vista, OS X)
+ USB 2.0 connection is backwards compatible for older computers
+ Easy to format and enable encryption to protect your data
+ Prices are nice on a $ per gigabyte basis
Cons:
- U3 software on Sandisk USB drives isn't for everyone
- Still has a longer body than the Cruzer Micro
- The attachment slot is small and not the strongest
- Not as easy to hook it on to things as the Cruzer Slide
- Still somewhat slow speed in copying large files (about 6-9 MB/s write speeds)
Overall this is a great USB drive with good capacity. If you need something you can easy attach to key-chains and don't mind a slightly larger body, you may want to step up to the Cruzer Slide. If you want the smallest most stylish USB drive you can get, this is it.
Enjoy!

5 comments about Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500GB Caviar Sata 7200 Rpm 16MB Cache SATA Hard Drive.
- The product itself is the best on the market, however, had I gone to a local store and bought it, the package would have contained the LifeGuard installation CD and the cable
When I received this from Amazon, there was no CD no cable, nothing just the hard drive.
I think Amazon should post a package detail list for all products on their site.
- The performance is OK.
It's hot.
Its vibration is too much and cause the whole case to resonant vibrate. That makes lots of noise, bigger than all fans in my case.
- Great drive. It is about a billion times quieter and cooler than my old first gen Raptor, though not as fast. It's also quieter than the striped pair of old 110gb drives it is replacing. It "feels" faster than the raid (0) with those older drives. Recommend this drive.
- Sorry to say folks. As much as i have great respect for WD hard drives. This new 500gig is a total failure. It just doesn't show up on my windows XP,Neither on Linux(mandriva & Ubuntu),neither on the Apple Mac Book. Presently i am disappointed. This hard drive i wanna return for a replacement. Buying this hard drive i would not recommend especially as this happened at a time that i needed space for all my music.
- This HD was sold to me as new and arrived used with no hardware or paperwork then Amazon charged me for the return

5 comments about Western Digital WDME1600TN My Passport Essential 160GB USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive (Midnight Black).
- I bought the WD external hard drive two month ago , great external hard drive ,i am using this hard drive to store all my Important documents, music, photos, videos ,work smoothly & silence , amazing external HD from western digital and highly recommend .
- I've been using this for some time and it's great. Decent speed and portablility. It's a must have for my laptop both for work and home.
- While I could have gotten my girlfriend a different hard drive cheaper, this more than makes up for it's slightly high price with its quality and size. It is extremely convenient for her to use in her memory heavy college program as it's small enough to fit the limited desk space and doesn't require a power cord.
So far it's working great under windows, linux and mac. The cord is short but it's also easy to carry around.
It scratches easily but we got a nice case for it and it's working great!
- Western Digital WDME1600TN My Passport Essential 160GB USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive (Midnight Black)IT DOESN'T WORK. I CANNOT GET IT TO INSTALL, I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT WESTERN DIGITAL AND THEY DON'T EVEN RESPOND TO MY EMAILS. THERE ISN'T ANY INSTALLATION DISK, NO INSTRUCTION MANUAL AND THE PLUG AND PLAY WON'T PICK IT UP. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM AMAZON AGAIN.IT WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEYL. LINDA STAMPER
- Wont bore you with painfully long review here. I love this piece. Serves the purpose intended. Lots of room for the future. No problems with it s far. I've had it for a couple months now.

5 comments about Acer AL2216Wbd 22" LCD Monitor - Black.
- Great monitor, no dead pixels. What a fantastic upgrade from my 17 inch monitor...............
- For a $200 monitor this is definitely the one to beat. I searched around quite a bit and after reading some reviews I decided this was the best of bang for the buck available. I can say I am quite happy with my choice, it seems well built and has a nice image. Of course the contrast and resolution doesn't match up to some of the pricier displays out there, but I really don't miss it. Especially great for watching DVDs and video podcasts. If you have a solid colored image you will notice some uneven back-lighting on the left and right edges, however it's nothing bothersome and really noticeable in normal usage. Very happy with my purchase!
- I was very impressed with the clarity and sharpness of the picture. An excellent buy.
- Product came fast and was un-scathed. Works great right out of the box and no problems at all so far. Great Price and Buy!
- I am not going to give this monitor any less than 5 stars, beacuse it was easy to set up, has good image quality, and was just what I needed, especially for the price. It does not have speakers, and the look is not so dressy, but it is not obtrusive or ugly in any way. I am very satisfied with my purchase and my family loves it too.

5 comments about Linksys WRT160N Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router.
- I bought this router to replace a Linksys G router because I could not get my wireless connection upstairs. First, this product and the adaptor did not install correctly on my laptop. I had to pay an additional $10 for their tech to install it correctly. After much hassle, the product does NOT expand range and I still cannot get a strong enough wireless connection upstairs. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY if it is range you are looking to expand.
- This router fixed a nagging problem I was facing with my WGT624 v2 Netgear router. All network pundits on the www opined about no relationship between a router and operating system (vista ultimate in my case). I continued to face excruciatingly slow connection when connected and most times local connection (no internet) with my old router.
I took a chance and replaced my Netgear router with this WRT160N and I now have a consistently fast connection (up to 5MBPS with cablevision) during downloads. The more secure encryption scheme that this router provides in place of wep of my legacy router is also a bonus.
I had to reset all network devices (modem, router) and the desktop and some tweaking of the antenna on the desktop before the optimal connection could be obtained.
Overall I am happy with this router and would recommend this.
- I've had this a month now and it's still running great! I have my desktop pc and Xbox 360 hooked up through ethernet cables, and my laptop with a wireless N minicard. I noticed the most difference on my xbox where i used to lose the signal every half hour and drop me from a game, now its faster and i never get dropped. My laptop works anywhere in the house with 5 bars of signal. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. The only problem i've noticed, which isn't really a problem is the blue led's are so bright that they bacically act as a nightlight, so if this were in your bedroom it might be hard to sleep. It's not in my room so its not really a problem for me, just thought i would mention it. I actually got this at wal-mart for only $75, so i would recommend getting it there so you can easily return it if you have a problem.
- This router did not solve my problem of receiving a signal from one end of the house to the other (about 60 feet). When I purchased this item I read the return policy of Amazon and was comfortable with their 15% restocking fee for returns. However, when I contacted them to return the item I was tersely told that they do not accept returns on this type of item. In addition, they told me not to return without their authorization or it would be promptly returned to me. I would strongly advise anyone considering a purchase of this item, or this type of item to go to Best Buy or Circuit City. You may have a better chance of returning the item. Amazon was simply unwilling to help me with this item.
- I thought dropping 75 on a router meant that at least I was getting the latest and greatest. It contantly drops connection and when I try to log back on it cant connect to the network. I reset it many times to try to fix it but no luck. I am resorting to hard wire connection cause wireless is like 56k. Don't buy this router it's a waste of money. I was better of with my older wireless G router.

5 comments about Logitech Z-2300 THX-Certified 200-Watt 2.1 Speaker System.
- really clear with super duper bass. the one draw back is that the 2 speakers cord is really short and cant be moved very far from the sub.
- These speakers really have a lot of power in them. I have them in my college dorm and i have not yet turned the dial remotely closeto 50%. The clarity of the sound is amazing as well, all around for games, movies, or just music. Plus the woofer bumps real well. Overall this is an amazing product for a great price
- Could use some more mid range but overall, they get the job done. I use the system to listen to Pandora while I work as well as for listening to tracks I create with GarageBand. I think they get the job done for their price range, no regrets.
- These might be the greatest set of speakers I've ever purchased. Bass is awesome, highs and lows sing, and the sound is so full.
This is an awesome set of speakers, especially for less than $200. These speakers are an excellent addition to any dorm room.
- I cannot believe this system sells for under $100. Like everyone else says, the BASS IS INCREDIBLE. I had the Logitech X-230s before this, and though those were great, these are just OFF THE HOOK. I love the remote. Nice to have it right there with you in case you need to turn it down fast because it is LOUD!!!! Like 15 times louder than the X-230. Even though it is loud, it is very clear. Very little distortion. Bass is 20 times better too. Besides the computer I bought to accompany this (Sony Vaio FW Series laptop) this really is the BEST PURCHASE I EVER MADE OFF AMAZON!! In terms of value, it is THE BEST PURCHASE!
I can't find one fault with these. I am so happy. I experience music now like I never have before. You can FEEL THE MUSIC the way it is supposed to be heard! You want to go your whole life only hearing good systems at clubs and concerts?! BUY THESE!

5 comments about 1 GB SanDisk MicroSD TransFlash Memory Card (Bulk).
- I bought this card for my Blackberry Pearl (to replace carrying an iPod and a phone on the train to LA) and I've found this memory to fast, reliable and very versatile. With the adapter, I've used it in digital cameras, taken documents to home, work, church, etc. SanDisk makes quality memory--no complaints here!
- It's great as I can use it in my cell phone and with the adapter I can use it in my camera too!
- Fits my Motorola Razr perfectly and allows me to transfer pictures on and off of it as well as songs.
- I bought this product roughly two years for my mobile phone to transfer pictures and videos. The price I paid for it was ridiculous two years $25, but the product itself never had a problem with it. I would recommend getting a 2Gb, but I guess it depends on how many pictures and videos you take.
- I got this item last year for my brand new Nokia cell phone. It was my first attempt at enjoying the convenience of digital music from my cell phone.
I was impressed with how small the memory card was; at the same time, I was pleased with how much music the thing could contain. I've still only only used about 20% of its capacity..and that is with music and photos.
Overall the SanDisk card has also been very reliable. No problems with loss data or any such thing. Very pleased with the item and highly recommend it.

- This is a great produce. It is easy to use and provides a great backup for my digital pictures. Just move the pictures to the flash drive, remove and store in a safe place. LB

5 comments about Seagate ST305004FDA1E1-RK FreeAgent Desktop 500 GB 3.5-Inch USB 2.0 External Hard Drive.
- Bought this and thought I got a great deal ($140). All three of my towers and one laptop have trouble detecting it. Also, it overheats in less than thirty minutes, even if it's just on. 500 gigs is nice, but not if you have to go through all this trouble. Lately it hasn't been detected at all by any of my computers. I'll probably remove the actual drive and see what I can do. This was totally not worth buying.
- It works just as it says it does. I have no problems using it on my iMac running 10.5. It works just fine with time machine.
I would recommend it to a friend!
- This device was purchased as a replacement for my maxtor which broke. Maxtor was made by seagate, so I wasn't to sure about buying this Seagate drive.
The drive comes neatly packaged (which I bought mine new from Amazon) and it comes with a manual, the drive, a power cable and the USB cable. The drive should be plug and play compatible. Just plug it in and you can access it from your my computer as a second HDD. should be next to your C: drive. You can then drag and drop any files you may want to store on the HDD.
I have owned this drive for about a month now. I have ran the drive 24/7 for about 2 weeks now and it is still running A ok. that shows a lot of integrity for durability and reliability.
In order to turn off the drive you have to safely remove the hardrive and wait for the drive to power itself down. you can then remove the cables. REMEMBER, make sure you use the dock and stand for this drive. it has to be upright and ventilated properly or you risk overheating the device.
There are TB drives however, that are only 50-100 dollars more. I feel that if anyone wants to go that route they may be better off. An internal drive would be an even more reliable route also, as an internal drive are less likely to fail.
keep in mind that my seagate drive has made me happy, it worked right out of the box and it is what I needed to store the music I have been buying from itunes. I have a lot now, so my 500 GB drive is nearly full.
it makes me wish I would have went for the 1TB drive.
if you are not planning on downloading and storing, or more for backup or for office storage or for storing maybe schoolwork or to back up documents and such, this drive is great! it has saved me on several system crashes, as I store important drivers and documents that I need on the drive. But then again, I beleive that is the idea of any drive.
It depends on the use of the Drive, but I say this drive is reliable and fast and easy and very pnp reliable. I would recommend it to anyone.
Bryan. 10-1-08
- This product has performed extremely well for the time that I have had it. (Many external hard drives fail after some months of use, so I can't comment on it's performance beyond a few months). It is sleek, very easy to use and I love it. I would recommend it highly. It never malfunctions like my last product did.
- I purchased this drive about 6 months ago and use it every day and have not had one problem with it. I reformatted the drive to work with my PS3 and can now enjoy a 500+ Gigabyte solution for my system for about 120 bucks.
The drive has a very elegant design and compliments anything it sits next to. It is obviously whisper quiet and has a great read speed. My computer and PS3 have no problem recognizing it.
Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an external drive solution.
