5 comments about Belkin n52te Tournament Edition SpeedPad.
  1. i know allot has been said so im going to keep it short.
Im a N52 Nos owner and I bought TE as its replacement when it came out, i primary play FPS or 3rd person action games, so far my TE has seen several months of consecutive service, some of the games its trotted though: COD4, RB6V, RB6v2, FEAR,Half life,portal,A-Creed, Lost Planet, and even Tiberium Wars,

The good: N52TE has the same good button setup,
same awesome feel as its predecessor, and the back lighting rocks!
other major improvement are in looks, keys are a bit bigger, the dpad is easier to handle, the scroll feels tighter, the new plastic palm rest is VERY smooth and soft, and the on board memory concept works,it also appears that the scroll wheel/mouse driver conflict Glitch- (that hindered the N52 NOS) is not a problem with the TE.

The Bad: where Razer initially blew it,-happened with the drivers and the firmware. Version 1.01 was terrible and glitch-y, just bad software design all around, not to mention the design was a huge departure from form the N52 NOS as it was simplified down to the max. Newer driver versions have sought to bring back some of the complexity as well as fix existing issues (ENTIRE MACRO SYSTEM for starters) while keeping the "Razer" interface. (The original N52 NOS, featured a rather bland interface that was complex but functioned beautifully) another downside is that you cannot import your old n52 nos profiles even with the new 2.10 driver and 1.02 FW versions today, so you get to remake them.

now granted, this is actually not a HUGE hassel,
both editors can be run at the same time-
so if you put one next to the other, and re-input the data by reading off the old profile-you will be done in no time- 1 hour for me for all of my profiles.. 15+

    *So should you get it?
The biggest reason for getting this is the same reason that would drive an individual to get its predecessor: If your looking for a palm sized fully functional, fully programmable, gaming keyboard, then this device may work for you. Also a device like this will work wonders for games which have fixed non remapable in game keyboard controls. with the N52 NOS &TE each key can be mapped to take any key or macro sequence: (Example-> Splinter Cell Double Agent has this problem)thus giving you the ability to fit the entire control scheme to your personal needs, (whether the game designers wanted you to or not)

  2. You'll find plenty of negative reviews about this little guy anywhere you look. I took all the negative points very seriously (there are a lot of very valid points) and decided not to buy it. However, I saw it at bestbuy a few days ago and man, I kind of drooled a little. Looks even better in person, so I thought what the heck, if I really don't like it I'll just return it and make up a story about bogus Mac software (which works impressively well, by the way. Not at all like your typical Razer software).

Its important to note that I never used the original n52, but I couldn't be happier with the n52te. Firstly, The spacebar isn't giving me the problems I was expecting. I see what people are talking about, when they mention not being able to hit it on the edges, but hitting the space bar at the far ends feels uncomfortable and unnatural to me anyways. I haven't hit space bar without it registering unless I try to get it to miss. I thought I'd have to pop the key off and put something in there to make it a little more stable, but it's really just fine the way it is.

The thumb stick comes off to reveal a d-pad, which I prefer. The small hole in the middle isn't a problem for me now and I don't see it being a problem later on.

I spent two days away from WoW just getting my macros in perfect order, and I honestly can't imagine needing more than is available with the n52te. Sure there are only 3 KeyMaps, where the original apparanly had 4, but I think I've got more than I could handle anyway.

There are blue, red, and green lights under the spacebar to let you know, out of the corner of your eye, which keymap is currently active. Very helpful, but these three lights are way too bright, in my opinion. I put a few layers of tape over them. Problem solved.

I'm just writing this to encourage folks not to give up hope, if you were initially really excited about this and swayed by all the negatives. I'll honor all the negative reviews and assume that if you're already accustomed to the original n52, you'll probably be disappointed. For everyone else, I really recommend you give it a shot. This thing works very well. Its made of quality materials, its comfortable, and dead sexy to boot. Looks incredible next to my blue DeathAdder. Five stars, absolutely.

Feel free to comment and ask me questions. I'll be more than happy to respond.

  3. Let's get the "con" out of the way. Belkin installed a star going nova to light up the keybank indicator. Like Fry's Chevy Nova, it lights up the sky. Still shines through two layers of electrical tape!

I set my WoW key bindings to the default settings on the speed pad. Played around in a green area. Got the feel for the pad, tweaked key bindings and then moved on to a yellow area. Killed mobs with ease, didn't have to focus so much on moving the mouse over the right spell or worry about cursor moving off my spam button. So I moved onto an orange area, no problem. This n52te is Awesome. My game did improve in a few hours. I don't get why all the fan boys of the n52 are hating so much, QQ.

Yes, a bit pricey but, W gave me $600 to blow.

  4. This gamepad is awsome. Fully customizable for any game. Saves a lot of missed keystrokes. The support site is kinda behind. From what I understand the non te version of this thing is very well liked by gamers and had great support and website, though I've never checked it out. Well most of the posts on the te forums were complaints about lack of improvment from the original. I guess they never tried taking the original to a different computer. The te can be used on any computer no software required, granted you have saved your profiles to the keypads onboard memory. I love this feature, and no the original has no onboard memory. Please view the sites for both Belkin n52 and Belkin n52te to decide wich is right for you.

  5. Purchased this to play WoW on my laptop, mostly because laptop gets discomfortingly hot during gaming. It does everything I hoped for with a few caveats, which I am well aware of thanks to other user reviews here (a bit big and nonadjustable, crazy bright LED, no easy way to set up multiple key combo short of creating macros).

One time I forgot to bring it with me and had to go back to the default keyboard mapping. Tried to play some PVP and it was nearly impossible, which made me really appreciate how much it has improved my gaming.

5 comments about Western Digital My Book Studio Edition External Hard Drive - 1TB - 7200rpm - Serial ATA/300, FireWire, USB 2.0, Mac (WDH1Q10000N).
  1. I downloaded the revised software for Leopard and it works perfectly. Goes to standby when the computer goes to sleep. Very quiet and fast.

  2. Simply plugged it in and hooked it up via firewire and it worked perfectly. Very quiet. I like it so much, I will be buying another soon.

  3. I've tried several external HDD, beside my WD Passport which I like because it's portable, this is the fastest and best external HDD I've got.
I even tried buying the case and using any HDD but it's not as fast as this one is, nor efficient.

If you are not sure, just go for it!

    Worth every penny!

  4. The My Book series is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen and I would be happy to join it. The design is so inferior that the drives get too hot and burn up - on both Mac and Windows. If it's under warranty, they send you a used, beat up replacement that someone else returned ... and the warranty does NOT start all over again. It applies only to your original piece of junk.
Customer "service" is based in India and the techies can't speak English.
I bought 3 of these and am considering legal action after the replacement also went belly up - very hot to the touch. It was my backup drive and now the backup is gone.
I used to sing the praises of WD, but never again. They care nothing about the customer - only about how money they can screw you out of.
If you have a My Book that has NOT fried yet, remove it from that horrible case so ti can stay cool. The warranty for it is worthless anyway. YouTube has a decent video on how to open the case and remove it. Search "remove My Book".

  5. This is my third WD My Book Studio Edition. The first two were defective with the familiar freezing problem that WD's technical support pretended not to be familiar with (have they ever heard of Google?). After two bad drives I wanted to have my money back but WD talked me into getting a third one. So far the third works well. I gave the 5 stars to my third drive. My first two drives deserve 0 stars each.

THE GOOD. Beautiful, well made, quiet, not too hot, multiple interfaces, great warranty, excellent and smooth exchange policy.

THE BAD. Too many defective drives.

THE UGLY. Technical support pretends that problems don't exist and I was just unlucky. Yeah right.

NOTE. This is a 5200 RPM drive and not 7200 RPM (at least mine).

5 comments about Eye-Fi Explore Wireless 2 GB Secure Digital Card (EYE-FI-2EX).
  1. So, I'm the kind of guy who takes a million pictures of the kids and then they sit in my digital camera for 6 months. This device is perfect for me. Just snap away and then turn my camera on for a few minutes at home or in a Wi-Fi enabled McDonald's - bingo!

Take it out of the box, plug it into a USB port with the handy plug, and take about 4 minutes to set it up. It just works like a breeze.

Geotagging works perfectly for me. If it doesn't work for you, you can actually go in and set up the location of your routers so that it will work. The reviewer who complained about this could have spent about 2 minutes and fixed this issue.

I have my account set up to automatically post my photos to Flickr as well as downloading them to a directory on my PC. The Eye-Fi supports probably 10-12 of the most popular photo sharing sites.

The only thing on my wish list is for the card to upload video I take with my digital camera (right now only jpg file format is supported). I contacted support and they confirmed they are getting a lot of requests for that feature - so it may be on its way sometime.

  2. I purchased the eye-fi explore for the ability to geotag my pictures and to make sure I never accidentally deleted a shot that I really liked. After a little troubleshooting (and a very speedy response from eye-fi customer care) we were able to get it to work with my Canon XSi.

The card works great! The little thumbnail on your desktop is helpful too, as it shows the photos transfering right onto your computer.

The only thing keeping me from giving this a 5 star review is the current lack of support for RAW photos, only JPEG. While this is a minor gripe for most, the XSi shines in RAW mode. I believe this is a feature that will be added, so I will have full functionality at that time.

Wonderful product, highly recommended and a must have for all SD card users!

  3. This is a fantastic product. The install was painless - it dealt with security on my home network seamlessly. You don't even need to deal with an install CD-ROM/DVD - plug the included reader in your USB port and it self-installs.

It's almost like magic - take pictures at home and they just appear on your computer and photo hosting service.

    Very highly recommended.

  4. If you don't have it, your missing the boat. This IS the future of pic sharing and storage.

  5. Liked it from the start. Installation was easy. It's so easy there's not even an install disc. The software is on the SD card itself. If you can insert a usb stick and click yes a few times then you can install this. The interface is clean and lightweight. The software struggled with my Vista 64bit setup but was fine with XP 64. The problem was, and still is, that I have to open the eye-fi manager software two or three times to get it working. Most times it will load the main page but a few seconds later it reloads the page and says I'm disconnected. Even with this problem I give 5 stars. It's user-friendly and nifty. The Explore works in Raw+Jpeg mode. It uploads all the Jpegs and leaves the RAW on the card.

*edit* -So far I haven't been able to geotag a thing. I've turned it on and I shoot in downtown san diego so no problem with hotspots. Everything uploads fine, but nothing is tagged with location data. What gives???

5 comments about Sandisk MicroMate Reader - for SD and SDHC memory cards.
  1. The reader works as designed. However, the reader doesn't fit into some front panel USB ports without a USB extender because it's so wide. It fits on my Dell PC but not my Toshiba laptop when it's on my desk. I'd have to lift up my laptop to push it in and it would be supporting the laptop on a tilt. Not a good idea.

The other problem I ran into with the SDHC read/write is that it reads really slow. When transferring photos from my SDHC card to my PC it takes much longer than doing so with a standard SD card. I compared this by transferring the same files from both the SDHC and SD card.

  2. I don't like uploading my pictures directly through a camera and this memory reader is so convenient. It is small and sleek. I like that it is white; looks really nice.

  3. Although the wide design leaves something to be desired because it covers other ports while in use, it is not much of a problem for me because I mainly use it to transfer photos and it is not always plugged in.

Some reviewers have complained about speed so I decided to put it to a real life test and it performed flawlessly. It was able to read 2GB worth of files (about 600) in 2 minutes and 45 seconds. It was able to write that same content in about 5.5 minutes. I used an ordinary 2GB Kingston card for that test.

Installation was quick on my Widows XP PC. Windows recognized it instantly and it was up and running in about 5 seconds.

The cover can be used on the opposite side to protect an inserted card or just to keep it from getting lost. I highly recommend it and would buy it again.

  4. This card reader works really well for me, just gotta plug it into the ol Mac and loads straight into iPhoto. Everything arrived on time, works well. But whenever I shake the card reader I can hear something rattling, or hitting something. I'm not sure what it is, but hasn't affect the card reader yet. I think I may have paid a little more for this item, but it's an easy way to transfer pics. Sorry I'm out of words can't think of anything else.... Just a good product that works well too.

  5. The product I received was working great and in wonderful condition. The shipping was a little slow though. It could have been much faster.

5 comments about Razer Exactmat with Exactrest Gaming Mouse Pad & Wrist Rest--Black.
  1. Smooth and percise. You can practically feel where the cursor is going to stop before it gets there. To the point.

The wrist pad takes some getting use to though. I use a wrist pad on my keyboard, but have not used one on a mouse pad. Not uncomfortable, just odd.

  2. This mouse pad did not work with my Logitech mx600 wireless laser mouse. I think the aluminum in the pad interfered with the wireless transmitter. I set my old pad on top of the Exactmat and my mouse did not work. The further away I moved from the Exactmat, the better my mouse worked. This could be a problem with other wireless mice as well.

This is not a quiet mouse pad. The pad has a rough, hard surface that makes a significant amount of noise while mousing. I suggest ordering a pair of headphones at the same time if you don't already have one. If this had worked for me, I probably would have bought a second for the office, but I don't think my co-workers would have appreciated it.

However, it seems very well constructed, which earned it a second star from me.

  3. Using with a Logitech G9 and the combo works very good. Cost was a bit high, but it was exactly what I was looking for. mgn

  4. Okay, I really like this mouse pad. I agree with others about the wrist pad. I tossed it after 3 minutes. This mouse pad is very well made. Actually it's metal with surfaces bonded to it. It stays in place perfectly, and yes it is big, but it works perfect for me.

  5. Best thing actually about this mouse pad is only the wrist pad , Am a hardcore player playing mostly mmorpg and FPS aka Counter Strike source , and used G7&G5 , the smooth side got scratched pretty fast , and the other side (rough) it basically ruined my mouse and got its surface scratched therefore byebye mouse since i need an extreme accuracy at CSS . So i suggest looking for another Mouse pad with better quality .

5 comments about Mstand Laptop Stand By Rain Design.
  1. This stand looks like it could have been made by Apple. It mimics the sleek aluminum bases that you find on Apple Cinema monitors; is very substantial and looks good in my office.

  2. The Mstand is a great very basic stand. It keeps with the apple minimalist design, has great fit and finish and does exactly what it is supposed to do, elevate the laptop level with a apple cinema display. I found its very close with the 23 acd, and a bit taller than the 20 inch. The only thing I found that was I was bit unhappy with was the fact the computer runs at exactly the same temp as before. Others previous said it acted as a heatsink and dropped the temp, this is not my experience at all. I know apples are designed to run hot, but I still prefer things to be a bit cooler.

  3. If you're looking for a sleek looking, solidly built laptop stand (especially for a MacBook Pro), this really is a great product. I would have given it five stars, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it because of the price. Don't get me wrong -- this is a great product -- but $50 is well over what it should be. If you don't mind spending the extra cash, go ahead and get it -- you won't regret it.

  4. The mStand is the perfect compliment to my MacBook Pro, and allows me to use the laptop screen and an additional monitor very effectively.

I've had multiple people compliment the stand and consider purchasing one for non-Apple laptops!

    Great product, extremely well made.

  5. It is a nice looking laptop stand but for my Asus M50sa did not provide stable position. Most likely due to its was being designed for Apple laptops. So i had to get myself Xbrand ones and very content w/ them. I gave this to my friend who's using it for his 13"+ laptops seems to be working fine for him.

5 comments about Antec MX-100 3.5" USB Aluminum Enclosure for SATA Hard Drive.
  1. Good price, good product, does what it is supposed to do. I removed an internal drive from my desktop PC and installed it in the case. It was already set up as a storage drive but I could not get any PC in my house to recognize it. I finally had to format the drive and then it worked perfectly. Fortunately I had anticipated the possibility of a problem and backed up the data on the drive before the switch.

  2. Very quick shipping and good communication. Pleasure to do business with!! I would reccommend!

  3. Cool and quiet. Very sturdy. Wish it was esata but knew that going in. Antec makes very high quality products and this is no exception.

  4. After I received this product in the mail, I was able to open up the box, place my new drive into the enclosure, plug it in and go. Very easy assembly and installation. Highly recommend.

  5. If Bruce Wayne were to own an enclosure, it would seem like he would own this one; the enclosure is a black brush metal, but most of all, the LED on the front is shaped like a bat. Seriously. It lights up in only white (which is a good thing - who needs flashy rainbow colors?) and flickers when it is reading/writing.

This is a good basic enclosure if you just want to hook up your SATA drive via USB 2. It is very simple to install and sticks in easily (no annoying ribbons like on some IDE enclosure). For beginners, it includes an instruction sheet on how to install in all black & white picture drawings - not a single word on it - so this is good for visual learners.

With this enclosure, when you SAFELY REMOVE THE DEVICE, it will automatically shutdown the hard drive for you (from the sound of my hard drive, it seems to shut it off abruptly). Most enclosures I've used will still have the hard drive running even when you safely remove the device from the computer). If you reconnect the USB, the hard drive will power back on (that is if you have the power switch kept to ON).

The power supply doesn't use one of those "power bricks", but instead, the thickness (horizontally) is on the plug itself so it may block some areas on the power outlet.

The reason I gave this a three star is, while the enclosure works, the black brush metal started to fade and turned orange because I had it near the window - avoid from sunlight! It also will show signs of finger prints as well.

The design is really similar with Vantec's NexStar 3 Enclsoure, but I definitely prefer Vantec's glossy sleek finish (and it feels nicer too). If you want people to drool over your enclosure, then go with the Vantec. If you want more of a casual, plain look then go with this Antec.

5 comments about Transcend TS4GCF133 4GB 133x Ultra Speed Compact Flash Card.
  1. I use this card in my Canon 40D DSLR and think it's great. I was a bit skeptical when I purchased this card due to its low price, but it has proven itself plenty fast enough for my camera and most likely for any camera that's not UDMA-compatible (and even then, I can't imagine needing more speed). I shoot in RAW+JPEG mode, so my average photo file size is around 15MB, and this card doesn't slow me down even when shooting action at 6.5 frames per second. That's more stress than most cameras will ever demand from their card.

  2. I have cycled these cards (2) about twenty times now and haven't had any problems at all. They seem to be as fast as my SanDisk II 2G in my Canon 400 XTi, although speed is not one of my needs as a landscape photographer. This is just a good value.

  3. Card is working fine but it is like regular speed or at least not 133 for sure.

  4. I finally decided to move up from my old 1-gb Compact Flash card, and when I found this Transcend brand 4-gb, there was no reason to wait. Experience with Transcend products before has been excellent. Sure enough on getting this one, my only regret was that I didn't buy it earlier. It's fast and gives me more room than expected for photos. May not have to tote my memory tanks along any more, at least on regular trips.

  5. I'm using this memory card in my Canon Rebel XT digital camera. It works great. 'nuff said.

5 comments about Logitech G9 Laser Mouse.
  1. this Mouse is phenomenal... I bought it for gaming and it blast all the other devices away.... i love playing Counter-Strike with the G9....1

  2. I have been looking for a replacement for my favorite wired ball mouse for quite some time and have tried several wireless and optical mice that just didn't work for me due to latency and accuracy issues. The G9 is rock solid.
    Thanks amazon.

  3. I was looking around for a new mouse since my so called "G9" i consider it dead and saw the G9 and thought i should drop little review of my experience with it ..
1st it says "DryGrip technology" it`s not that great from my experience with this mouse , my hand sweat and even though am using air-conditioner .. and aswell a SX steelpad . the mousepad is kinda better the regular MPs but the mouse nah , i was really excited about feature in G9 but i didn`t think it would be this inefficient in hardcore gaming .
2nd Interchangeable Grips" the standard 1 is little to big and the small one is too small .. not to mention the small grip have sharp edge at the bottom of the mouse and it would scratch off the surface of the mousepad ,Not sure if it`s only with me having bad luck of other people aswell .
3rd the surface is like my old 2 G5s and 1 G7 (feel am gonna sell it as collection ...) after just phew months of using with extreme care (have previous 3 logitech mouses with same problem so i wanted to be extra cautious with this 1) even though it`s like it sisters the surface is scratched very badly (don`t forget am using the best mousepad in the world SX steelPad 50 Euro ..) also the Interchangeable Grip started to peel off near the side buttons where i use my thumb and also near the palm spot peeled off .
So it`s so not worth it at all . i think i`ll just get G3 or MX 518 or try a Razer mouse (much cheaper and will last longer am sure of that) .
This is my own opinion as a hardcore gamer playing FPS (counterStrike source) and also using the pc for long time every day for work and gaming .
Have a good day\night and stay away from this mouse if you are a hardcore gamer .
    Sallam .

  4. Had this for a couple months now and love it. I thought the weights would be a good idea so i tried a bunch of different combinations and it turns out i like it best with no weights, so the mouse is as light as possible. Why would you want more weight to push around and strain your wrist even more? It doesn't make you any more precise.

Also with the two included covers you can put over it to make the grip different, I tried both of those and actually like it best with neither of them on. None of the pictures show it like that because I don't think its intended to be used like that but its great.

The laser is super accurate, on dark or light colored surfaces, and anything I have put it on. The teflon pads on the bottom are huge so it moves really smooth on most surfaces. The sensitivity buttons are in a really good place, and I have never hit them by accident.

The braided fabric cable is plenty long and really durable.

The only downside is the scroll wheel is a little hard to push down for a middle click. This might cause you to accidentally roll the wheel when trying to middle click, which is bad in games because it will make you switch guns just at the wrong time. But if you are a former G7 user like me, then you have learned to compensate for it, and its not a problem.

Best mouse I have ever used period. Try to get it when it goes on sale.

  5. If you could give this mouse a proper name, other than a number designation, I would go for Speedy Gonzales.

    This is one fast mouse.

Never in my life have I found such a fast accurate mouse, where so much thought went into the design process. In fact, this is not for all practical purposes a single mouse, but you could at least consider it two different mice. Why? Well, it has two grips, which have two totaly different feels. Combine that with a totally customizable unique weight balance system, and you have quite a few combinations of custom mice right out of the box. You will probably settle on just one or two, but never have the choices been so plentiful.

Everything you get with this mouse is top notch, but you might expect that if you are willing to shell out this much for just a mouse. Sure, it might be the best mouse you've ever used. Sure, the feet glide and the weight and grip combos are fancy, and macros and lights are customizable, but is it worth the price? Well, that is something for you to decide on your own. Sure, you are overpaying a bit, in my opinion, but they have packaged it so well, and the performace is so great that it all seems like a good deal when all is said and done.

It's better than your old mouse. Probably better than your friend's mouse. You ought to give it a try.

5 comments about 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator PE (Personal Edition) 3D Navigation Device USB ( 3DX-700029 ).
  1. I am currently using the SpaceNavigator PE for Maya 2008. It allows for quick and efficient maneuvering which speeds up my workflow while making GoogleEarth even more fun at the same time.

It's not a necessary product at this level. Once the "Wow" factor is gone, I do find myself still using mouse/keyboard navigation out of habit.

Once projects get to a certain point in construction and depth, the tool becomes invaluable for navigating your space in a fluid, organic manner and for accurately determining camera positions with a natural feel.

As an entry level 3d-navigation device it can't be beat. Set up is easy and calibration is even easier.

    Highly recommended.

  2. Saw the notebook version, this is for my desk. Read the reviews, good information on the product. I use Autodesk Inventor, the software was easy to install, of course I check the box to check for update, sure enough there was an updated software on the website, downloaded and installed. really easy. Started Inventor, software automatically configured for Inventor. For me, I was using it in about 5 minutes. For me the operation was very intuitive.

I just whish I knew about this product sooner, and at the price on Amazon, what are you waiting on. BUY IT already. Orderd on Friday, 3 - 5 day shipping, arrived Monday, fantastic, up and running before lunch.

If you are using a 3D solid modeling program, don't wait, order one today, you will not be dissapointed.

  3. The product worked flawlessly as specified in the brochure. I am very happy with it.

  4. when you buy a new controler for your PC there are always a few factors to consider, for one you are extremely used to your mouse and keyboard and after years and years of use almost everything seems less functional.

I can't think of any other device like that which would be so natural to use (it takes perhaps about 15min to become comfortable with it)

It works with 3D packages rather nicely, (I am using Maya PE and Sketch Up), for other application it doesn't do much, ocasional pan/zoom capabilities are typically less useful than using a mouse to pan or zoom

The device seems a little too sensitive on default setting (which can be corrected), however the control panel leaves a lot to be desired, other than sensitivity you have an option to reverse the axis and that's pretty much all, considering that even the default integration with a few programs assingns axes differently (especially moving up down in screen space can be achived by pushing forward/backward or pulling up/pushing down dempends which software you are using)

Unfortunatelly the device does not have a generic driver which would act as HID device, after working in 3D package for a few hours you switch to internet explorer for a moment and your hand goes automatically to this little device to pan... and nothing happens...

There is also a little issue with pan and tilt, since both are essentially done by pushing the controler at different angles, it's not uncommon that you end up tilting and paning in the same time while your intent was just pan, while device seems to have a small dead-zone which allows you to pan without changing the camera angle, this dead zone appears to be not enough in many cases (and it's not configurable)

In short, it's an amazing concept, well designed from hardware perspective, poorly designed from software perspective, but still very handy to have in 3D applications which supports it

  5. This "joystick" is awesome when used in Second Life. It moves, guides and flies your avatar. Even better, it allows you to cam smoothly across the sim, through walls, below the surface and even 100s of meters into the sky. Great for making "movies" or simply for exploring. Highly recommended! (Be sure to watch the Torley Linden tutorials.)
