  1. it is very look face, and quickly by have some problem with running videos or mp3 files, i dont know if could be some software

  2. the laptop is beautiful, there's no doubt about it. it functions well and the toshiba recovery disc is fab. however, it doesnt come with software that lets you use the labelflash burning drive, and there are problems with vista home premium sp1 in that some usb devices arent recognised by the system. this is a real prob if you have a lot of usb devices, i.e voip phone, printer, etc attached to your pc. the prob isnt with toshiba but rather vista. perhaps microsoft will make a patch to fix this??? the screen is wonderful, the keyboard a bit clunky due to the fusion finish, but really it IS a beautiful pc. a bit more ram might have been nice. all in all 95% out of 100%.

  3. Toshiba Satellite A305-S6839 15.4" Laptop (Intel Centrino 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 Processor, 3 GB RAM, 320 GB Hard Drive, DVD Drive, Vista Premium)
This was a replacement for my daughter's previous Toshiba Laptop which was being shared with her 4 children under 10 years old. She cannot believe how much more versatile it is and faster at accessing information and she is delighted with the product. The inbuilt camera and video facility is an added bonus as we are able to Skype each other and watch the grandchildren grow, from 4,500 away in the UK!
The portability of the laptop is also appreciated as my daughter can work on it in the car when waiting around to pick up the children for school and play. So far totally reliable and would buy again with no hesitation.
PS I am an Apple Mac user and this is the only PC I can tolerate!
    Margaret Rose Jones

  4. The Laptop is Good. Has met all working expectations and functions well within all required parameters. Small issue of not being able to lock the screen closed down, but holds up well to the constant usage and travel.

  5. Es muy buena también la relación precio valor.
Sin lugar a dudas es un producto recomendable.-

5 comments about Thermaltake Big Typhoon CL-P0114 12cm 4-in-1 Heatpipe Cooling Solution Fan for Intel P4 LGA 775 and AMD K7/K8.
  1. The deal was average but when I got the heatpipe I couldn't install the fan because the fan wasn't built for my motherboard. There was a lack of information about the product. So I now have an expensive heatsink laying on my desktop cause I can't use it even when the description said it was for my motherboard too.

  2. This fan keeps my system very cool. My dual core cpu was overheating a bit until I got this fan.

  3. Almost no noise at all, keeps my Q6600 at 34`, I overcloked it to 2.8

  4. Make no mistake, installing this fan will take time, but in the end it is worth the effort because it will lower your CPU temperature.

The instructions include more than 50 postage stamp sized photos and are printed on one sheet of 8x11.5" paper. Fewer larger photos would be more helpful.

It will be easier to install if you're building a new system, or if you have a case where the motherboard support plate removes from the case.

You will need to attach the backplate for the fan to the back of the motherboard.

I had problems getting to the screws to reattach my motherboard to the case once the fan was installed, because the fan is much larger on the top than the bottom. Putting the back plate on, installing the motherboard back in the case, and then installing the fan is also an option, but now the computer's power supply will make it hard to tighten the nuts that hold it in place.

When I first fired it up, it sounded like a Cesna preparing for takeoff. Fortunately, within a couple of minutes the noise went away, and it's now very quiet.

But this fan cut the temperature of my CPU by more than half. My CPU was running between 78 and 93 degrees Celsius with periodic unexpected shutdowns. Now the CPU is running between 37 and 42C, so while it took a lot of time to get it installed, it was worth the effort.

  5. In my opinion this heatsink fan system is the best air cooling you can get for a CPU. I have ran mine for 2 years now on an overclocked P4 HT, I tried other heat sink coolers and they could hold there own...when loud. This is amazinly quiet, my case fan is louder than it, my temp went from 80 C peak to 42C peak. Now the only heat problems I have are my VGA...working on that now. That is what reminded me to write this review.

SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SINGLE AIR COOLER for your CPU. Buy this. You wont be disapointed. Just use a diffrent thermal paste.

5 comments about HP Pavilion DV6870US 15.4-inch Laptop (AMD Turion 64 X 2 Dual Core TL-64 Processor, 3 GB RAM, 320 GB Hard Drive, DVD Drive, Vista Premium).
  1. This unit is pathetic. Vista is a joke. Explorer locks up and crashes. HP wants me to spend hours with some kind of support phone call, and I make $100 per hour at work. I should just throw this unit away rather than throw good money after it. I am outside my 14 day return capability, so I am out of luck.

HP says they are not responsible for software problems, but they offer NO alternative software. This unit was manufactured specifically for the Vista operating system, and any change, like to XP, will render many hardware items to malfunction, like the sound system.

I would recommend anyone avoid buying this unit. I would call this laptop as an anchor for my boat. I take that back, this is junk and an anchor would be useful.

  2. The machine has an excellent display, great built in capabilities, an easy to use and high quality keypad, the right amount/placement of ports and a very sleek visual design. It can run most programs but it has a few issues that has given me some trouble:

    * Poor cooling system. If you run grpahic intensive programs, the built-in graphics card can't handle it. It overheats and randomly freezes up.
    * Wireless card burns out if the system overheats. I've had to replace it once and the new one has since burned out. Now that it is no longer under warranty, I essentially have no wireless capabilities with this laptop.

  3. I INITIALLY ORDERED THIS PRODUCT IN MAY 08 BEACAUSE OF THE FETURES ADVERTISED BY AMAZON WHICH INCLUDED A BUILT IN CAMERA. WHEN MY ORDER ARRIVED IN TRINIDAD & TOBAGO IT DID NOT HAVE A CAMERA. I CONATACTED AMAZON WHO PROMISED TO SHIP THE CORRECT LAPTOP TO ME. GUESS WAHAT THE SECOND LAPTOP DID NOT HAVE A CAMERA AS ADVERTISED. I HAVE BEEN CHARGED FOR TWO LAPTOPS I DID NOT ORDER. I'M VERY DIS-SATISFIED!!!

DO NOT EVER PURCHASE LAPTOPS FROM AMAZON.

  4. This is a pretty sweet laptop. The screen is big, bright and great. The 3GB of RAM keep this puppy running smoothly and the 320 GB HDD gives you more than enough space to store what ever you need on this computer. The nVidia graphics card with 512 MB of separate memory makes the picture quality astounding. The touch buttons up top are perfect, not too sensitive, and not to the point where you have to stab them with your finger to work. An interesting feature I wasn't even aware because it wasn't mentioned in the review was the fingerprint scan log-on system. Although at first I wasn't to fond of it (for the love of God it wouldn't record my index finger print signature)eventually you get used to it and I haven't logged on through the password option since like the fourth day I got the laptop. The webcam is pretty good and although it may not seem like it would, those two little holes next to the webcam are a really powerful microphone. The speakers are pretty powerful for a laptop speaker, but then again Altec Lansing is a good speaker brand.

Now I only have pretty much one con about this computer. The battery life. Its not horrible, but its not the greatest either. It won't hinder your experience with the laptop that much, but its there in the back of your head. Why not just include a more cell-containing battery from the start is a pretty crappy move from HP, but seeing as how the upgrade battery will set you back $100 and most people will flock like stupid cattle to get it, HP isn't gonna give an easy hundred up just like that.

Either way, I pretty much give this laptop a 5/5. Truly amazing.

  5. Good laptop, excellent TL-60 microprocessor, great memory 3Gb. Bad VGA card...just 64 Mb dedicated video memory. Fast 160 Gb HD.

  1. the best processor in its class
    performance and price wise
you won't go wrong with amd

  2. This processor from AMD runs very cool (32C to 43C) on a Asus M2a motherboard with the hdmi card interface. The chip is very smooth and allows me to burn dvd and cd's quickly. I can do other things while longer processes are going on with no trouble. I am running a Novel Suse Enterprise Desktop 10 sp1 with a Vmware6 workstation for Linux that has (2) windows systems (2000 and XP) running inside it. The systems all can be up and running and the processor continues to work just fine. I want to get another one to set up a new server system as this one worked so well.

  3. Best bang for the buck around! This baby will get you running right saving pocket eaches. Excellent performance. This is a sure shot!

  4. i love Amd more than Intel, first Amd give you more for less money and it really works fast and cool, i use this porcessor with OCZ memory ram you can feel your pc goes quickly.....

  5. This amazingly fast proccesser for a GREAT price. I can now run all my favorite games on VISTA and it keeps up. Thank you AMAZON for such a great product.
