5 comments about TR2-R1 Amd AM2 Cooler.
- I bougth a heatsink "TR2-R1 Amd AM2 Cooler" from AMAZON, look cool, but is a very very BAD PRODUCT, is a defective product. DON'T BELIEVE in comparisons, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, DON'T RISK YOUR CPU's.
I have a motherboard MSI K9N and AMD Athlon 5000+ Dual Core (65w), and the "TR2-R1 Amd AM2 Cooler" is INSUFFICIENT to refresh my processor, his fan only reach 998 rpm. I was lucky, i was installed the MSI ControlCenter and he shutdown and save my AMD Athlon 5000+ Dual Core Processors.
I'm living outside USA, i can't return to AMAZON for REFUND, it's expensive, THINK, if you leave outside USA you CAN'T RETURN FOR REFUND, buy another cooler.
I wrote to many Thermaltake Partners, i was receive many "Mail Delivery Subsystem", THEY HAVE NOT PARTNERS, i think the partners don't like sell this DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, but Thermaltake list that partners in his website, THERMALTAKE LIES !.
¿Something good?, i think yes, i have a big aluminium piece, i go to buy and install a 92mm Fan with 2200+ rpm's.
See you.
- Excelente producto, un tanto grande, pero mantiene la temperatura bastante baja. Trabaja normalmente a 800 RPM, por lo que hay que deshabilitar la opción de alerta por debaoj de 1500RPM, ya que esta es su velocidad máxima.
Recomendado 100%
- I installed this on a computer I built up for my brother with an AMD X2 5000+ Black Edition. The installation was quick and easy, for even an amateur like me. I've heard from reviews that the temperature, at stock speed does not exceed 35 degrees (celcius), but here it seems to do so, (goes around 50~60 degrees) even though the fan practically dead quiet. I can't hear a thing! My other computer that renders the same temperature rating becomes an oven after a while, so I went to check on the heatsink while it's operating and it remains cool with only hints of heat coming out, so i'm not sure if it's a faulty reading but even raising the clock speed to 3 ghz, the temperature doesn't budge. After 3 months I still wonder why but it never bothered me nor my brother! All in all this heatsink is great for its value.
- Great fan, keeps the CPU cool. Low price, great quality, what else do you need?
I recommend this product
- Does not keep my amd x2 4200+ cool. Good heatsinks typically utilize a smooth copper plate which makes contact with the CPU. Heatsinks and CPU surfaces should be as smooth as possible to maximize surface contact. Not only does this heatsink not have a copper plate, but it's surface is so rough, that it's no wonder I have to change my grease once a month. I'm actually planing on sanding / buffing the surface next time I have to pull it off. Not a quality product.

- I never knew a chip, like this, maybe because it dosen't exist before, but now I only say is a beatiful and powerful.
- Runs like a bat out of hell... Cant wait to see what they'll do for these chips next.
- The best performance on the market into an AM2+ Socket
I have nothing more to say. This is just cool. I run my computer with the extended monitor, in which I have a memory and CPU monitor tool.
When I play Crysis the CPU always keep under 25%. And when it loads it goes to 65%. It never goes to more tham that.
The only tool i used that almost used a 90% was 3ds Max. When i was preparing a short movie into the rendering mode it went to 88%.
As i told be4, there is nothing that can put this CPU over its knees.

2 comments about HP Pavilion DV9910US 17-inch Laptop (2.00 GHz AMD Turion X2 Dual Core Mobile TL-60 Processor, 3 GB RAM, 250 GB Hard Drive, DVD Drive, Vista Premium).
- I recently bought this laptop for the bigger screen size,I didnt realize it had as many options installed as it does,I think its the first PC I have had that has its own remote.3 gigs of ram makes it fairly fast, pictures and movies look really good also, although the video onboard could be more powerfull, for an nvidia 7150m with a lot of ram it is only a 2.8 on gaming performance but 3.2 on standard graphics,I kind of hope a driver update in the future will help this out.One nice feature is the full size keyboard which is great for us hunt and peck types. All in all I really like the laptop.
- Provides everything you need and more for use as a student or business professional.
Amazon provides excellent service and if this is your first time shopping online for a computer, don't worry Amazon.com is a reliable online retailer. I was skeptical when I first bought from them. Since my intial purchase I have received nothing but excellent service and the delivery of my purchased items have always arrived on time.
Amazon.com also provides very competitive prices on most of their products.

5 comments about Compaq Presario CQ50-110US 15-inch Laptop (2.0 GHz AMD Turion X2 RM-70 Processor, 3 GB RAM, 200 GB Hard Drive, DVD Drive, Vista Premium).
- Got this from competitor for considerably cheaper - but it's amazing! The 3Gb of Ram and dedicated NVidia 8200M video card really make it a nice, Vista-friendly laptop. Add in the card reader, wireless G, and Litescribe DVD burner, and it's hard to complain.
Stop whining about the webcam! It's $20 difference - review the laptop, folks!!!
- I spent a lot of time researching laptops in my price range and finally went with this one. The 3 GB of ram is fantastic and the video card, while not top of the line, is a class 3 card. The other one I was looking at, also made by HP, had a class 1 video card (the lowest rating) and cost $100 more. I am running games that are not super new, but still require a decent video card and there is no problem with them. Some of the settings are turned off or down, but the game still looks great. This one also had more hard drive space as well. There are a couple of things that I do want to mention, but they are not enough to not give it a score of 5.
The DVD drive door clicks loudly as it pops out and when you push it back in. I am used to it now, but it freaked me out a bit the first few times. And if you run it on high performance (I do since almost always plugged in) it can get very hot. Since I use a lap desk again not too bad of an issue, but just wanted to let people know.
I also installed a wireless router in my place and the laptop saw it right away and connected to it with no problems. I have had no problems with Vista except one game that is 3 years old is said to have issues, but the game runs fine as far as I can tell.
I also have a laptop that is owned by work. I can carry both in my shoulder bag no problem. I wouldn't want to do lots of walking with both of them, but for a short distances it is fine.
A great little laptop with some nice features.
(I didn't even really look at the pictures so I hadn't noticed that one had a webcam. I read all the specs to see what it was coming with.)
- This is not a review of this specific model but of Compaq service. I purchased a Presario F762NR four months ago. The screen has now failed. I returned it to Compaq for repair and they refuse to honor the warranty unless I buy an additional warranty. The cost to replace the screen is $2 less than what I paid for the laptop. I have owned many Compaq products in the past and currently have 4 in the house. Compaq service used to be excellent; things have changed. I will no longer purchase any Compaq product and recommend that you consider the risks involved.
- It's got an Athlon dual core 2gHz processor, 3gB of RAM, a 200 gig hard drive, Vista Premium with Windows video editing program, and Windows DVD mastering program, a DVD burner, with lite-scribe...does the printing right on the disc itself. Wow!
This should be so beautiful! I have so much video that needs to be edited, and people around the world that would LOVE to see what I have on that shelf of tapes. While it's still no professional unit, this thing, with all its features and specs should be able to do a decent job at home video production, right?
But for one thing. No Firewire port. No place to plug a Firewire port card into. Oh, there's three USB ports, and one memory card port, but no possible way to load DV into this thing.
Then, what's the point!? (sigh)
- This laptop was a replace for my 5 years old laptop, the laptop is fast and 3GB make it awesome. The screen is very glossy and the colors are sharp. No web cam, i don't care because my x-laptop does not have one, no firewire, my x-laptop had one but I never use it. I still need to test the battery life. The DVD clicks when you close it, but I get used on it. The laptop is not heavy nor light. It was a great deal with these specs. The only thing that I miss is my Windows XP

3 comments about XFX MIA78S8209 GeForce 8200 HDMI 1333Mhz FSB AMD Socket AM2+ DDR2 ATX SLI Ready Motherboard.
- This MB is excelent, the display showing the POST messages helps to find errors in the devices. A lot of functions that I dont use. Hybrid SLY needs 2GB or more to work and not in all GeForce cards. GeForce 8200 integrated graphics is good for the price. This board also works with no EPS12V power suply but it needs at least the 4 Pin power in the 8 Pin connector.
5 Estrellas.
- Got this board cause I wanted a workable integrated graphics card with options to upgrade. This fit the bill perfectly but it still has some downs. Lots room for upgrades. First off Am2+ means quad amd compatible. 4 DDR2 slots, which maxes out at 8GG. 6 Sata headers, and an ide header. Also an FDD but who uses those. I think I saw 3 usb headers as well. PCIe 2.0 for those newer graphics cards. I don't do overclocking so I cant speak on that but it looks like its quite capable. There's a 2 digit temperature LCD at the back panel that is kinda cool. I would complain about it being at the back but....what else could be done on a motherboard.
Now what made me not give a 5 star to this board: My first trouble was with the board itself. Sometimes I get a CMOS Checksum error and then vista loads with an intolerable amount of flicker. Got that initially but its been a while since I got it. I also haven't gotten DVI to work. It says there's a jumper for changing the settings for DVI or HDMI. changed that yet nothing, even when vista boots. It sucks that I gotta use VGA with my DVI ports free but my screen still looks great. Its also mATX so its smaller than usual. I also expected more from the 8200 on board but was kinda disappointed, but its still an integrated card. It runs middle demand games like FIFA 08 and NFS Pro Street and Age of Empires III at 'ok' speeds, at medium details, 20-35fsp, but the high end DX10 games are too much. Was embarrassed when I popped in World in Conflict, Ghost Recon....Assassin's Creed. It obviously handles videos well which was the intention. I guess IGPs needs more work done.
In all its a great board for the productivity machine am building and would recommend for that purpose.

- hp has gone with this sort of spyrograpah pin-lined grey design (although only noticable within a few feet -- otherwise appears perfectly black)... now, this would be something i would think to be nice to have as an option...or a 'skin'... but whatever. aside from this minor flaw in marketing tactics, this laptop is smoking... hyper fast as expected on the wireless end.... all the typical 'productivity' apps run smooth (office, photoshop etc..)i am really impressed with how much you can have going on at one time and maintain speed with streams, editing, etc with the 4 gigs of ram and and the processor...im not a 'gamer' -but i have nhl, nba, madden, fifa - all 2008 on it and it plays very well...smooth graphics at the highest res setting, and amazing sound. sweet to play blu-ray discs on it and pipe it into my tv via the hdmi... wasnt that long ago that a grand would just get you a hd dvd or blu-ray disc player... it has a little remote (you can get a better one, but this slides into a side slot) so you can play, pause, rev/fwd, volume adj etc from the couch (if you watch movies straight off your computer from say, certain swedish websites, and dont want to burn them to disc)it seems to be a well-designed computer...nicely put together... i have heard some things about the battery... but... that has always been an issue with virtually all laptops... so... anyway... well worth the investment, and it will last.... oh... the screen on the laptop itself is pretty impressive... i do run it through to a larger hd set... but you could entertain yourself quite splendidly on a flight, or when you dont want to work, etc....... it has more, read the specs... i just wanted to give hp some props... used macs most my life, switched to pc and was fairly loyal to dell... so, this changes things... i ordered a few hp pocket drives, printer... i was just THAT happy with this thing :)
- This laptop is very nice, but the way they have arranged the right shift key, they made it very small, about 1/3 the size of a normal shift key, and right next to it they put an up arrow key, so when you are trying to type, your finger invariably hits the up arrow key when you wanted the shift key and suddenly you are up one line typing in the wrong place.
MOST ANNOYING THING I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!!

- it has everything that i want.blue-ray would be nice, but in this case price would be higher i guess.and having 32" LCD TV i don't really need Blue-ray.
works fast, nice look, controls are easy to access.remote control that comes with it is a really good thought.very compact and easy.camera and mic works OK.sound good be louder, but i guess i'm the one who expects a laptop to have a home theater sound))).good laptop for a good price
