1. I enjoyed this film more in the theatre (better sound). As I viewed it again, it's pretty boring. There's no dialog. It's not even a movie really. It's just concert footage. The Mystic Revealers are especially boring. I wish it featured more Luciano, and Garnett Silk...



2. This video may be a little boring by today's standards (it's about 10 + yrs old), but the coverage of DENNIS BROWN, LUCIANO, SHAGGY, MAXI PRIEST, YAMI BOLO, AND GARNETT SILK are crucial 'must have' items for any true reggae music collector!

   The production & editing are excellent (especially by REGGAE standards....as many reggae videos are poorly produced)




3. This would have to be the worst collection of flat sounding reggae clips i have ever seen. The audio is so flat and compressed that even if there was something interesting on it, it would not be enjoyable. Complete waste of money.



4. This is a very cool film, great for reggae lovers everywhere. I just sit back every day, crank up the sound, and listen to the music this dvd beholds.



5. This is a collectors item,a must have any genuine reggae fan..just follow your heart you can't go wrong.

1. This album is more music-oriented than her previous critically-acclaimed "Without You I'm Nothing." The present album will surprise those who think that Bernhard's only claim to fame is through Scorsese's "King of Comedy" or by being gal pal to the Material Girl. Bernhard has a beautifully trilling soprano that gets to the upper registers without effort -- something Madonna should aspire for. Her take of Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" was lovingly sung as was her homage to Laura Nyro ("The Woman I Could Have Been"). She gets to groove deliciously in "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" and does a Hendrix ("Manic Superstar") by juxtaposing Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Everything is Alright." I had fun with this album because of its musicality and her lovely voice that is as luscious as her full lips.



2. Who would've thought Ms. Bernhard can nail some notes! Dare I say even better than madonna!!?
   
   this is by far a great album and her rendition of the rolling stones' sympathy for the devil is classic!

5 comments about Sandra Bernhard: I'm Still Here Damn It! (1998 Solo Broadway Show).

1. Sandra Bernhard is so incredibly talented. This has to be one of the best music/comedy albums ever. From the techno dance, On the Runway to the wonderful Fleetwood Mac satire Nightingale which is acutally a beutiful ballad. When I heard her singing voice I was shocked it so versatile and beutiful, you would never guess she could sing by her speaking voice, but it truly is beutiful. If you buy this you should buy the video version which is actually a different performancem, and actually its a little better, but this is really an amasing album, she should start a music career.



2. If you are a fan or her, this is an absolute must have. Sandra's one of a kind humor is better than ever in her off off off off Broadway show. I had never been a fan until I saw her most recent performance "Love Machine" at a local casino. I fell in love with her and her humor. It is a great way to hear her older things and compare it with her new. This CD is great, and she puts on a great show. The next best thing next to seeing her live.



3. Please if you don't have this cd--mortgage your grandmother's grave plot to get it. Sandra is so blindlingly talented. Funny, caustic, tender, insightful...and she sings. What more do you want people? Sandra is bringing it to you pure and raw. You will be laid to waste. You will not be the same. You will go around pretending to BE Sandra she is just so fabulous.



4. I caught her show in San Fransisco and when the Cd came out I was the first to get it. She will leave you rolling in the isle and lasughing until you cry!!



5. I first caught Sandra's "I'm Still Here Dammit" special on HBO a few years back and was impressed by the comedy and musical aspects. This CD does not disappoint either. "On the Runway" is a great song satirizing the fashion industry & celebrity worrship of our culture. The best song however is "God is Good." WOW! Sandra really should invest in a recording a Middle eastern style concept album. Her voice is just amazing. Her cover of "Midnight Train to Georgia" is also done beautifully.

1. I'm a Huge fan of Bruce Willis! I absolutely love him! I think he is a talented actor, and in some cases, not a bad singer. "Swinging on a Star" is one of my favorite songs, and Bruce nailed it perfectly! This c.d. is a wonderful collection to anyone who loves the movie, or just likes old music! I love these songs, and I'm sure you will to ...



2. This movie soundtrack is different from others in the fact that it is closer to the music you might hear from a cartoon. It is very animated, well-written, and very entertaining. There is one point when the music plays "Mona Lisa" while on the screen you the the unfinished Mona Lisa by da Vinci. It is a great soundtrack. Even if you hate the movie, I'm and sure you will enjoy the soundtrack. Plus, Bruce and Danny singing during a robbery...who knew?

1. I have seen this DVD perhaps 10 times since I bought it this past Christmastime and I'll probrably see it again tonight since I'm thinking about it. You have to be a Bernhard fan to really appreciate the sarcastic wit of hers and her take on society, politics and celebrities, albeit how it effects her in the world that she lives in. The fact that this HBO special filming of her night club act was filmed while she was very pregnant (I'm guessing 9-1/2 months by the shape of her physique) and wearing a rather see thru dress (due to club lighting), shows that she has absolutely no shame and we are all the better for it. Spending the hour just listening to her puts my miserable life into perspective (well at least for an hour anyway). Make sure you see the extras with her dozen or so (1 minute long) comments on different subjects and people (Mother Teresa and her house painter are favorites). She sings too! I loved the tribute to Giani Versace (a song on how the tragedy effected the lives and more importantly, the careers of the grieving supermodels left behind on the catwalk) and the cover of "Midnight train to Georgia" just brings a tear to my eye every time- who!! who!! Get the incense and bottle of vodka ready, and enjoy the sights and sounds of Miss Sandra Bernhard!



2. This is a great DVD, mostly hilarious and at times touching. However they have excluded the opening song called 'Walk Tall' which is kind of a monologue through song. It's great and shows just how talented and versatile Sandra is. The exclusion is unfortunate because it's the best part of the show. 'Walk Tall' is available on the CD and I recommend that everyone purchase that so you can hear this great opening. Otherwise, I highly recommend this DVD.

3. THIS DVD WASNT WHAT I EXPECTED AT ALL. THE HUMOR IS STRICTLY HOLLYWOOD GOSSIP CRAP, WITH NOTHING THAT RELATES TO THE AVERAGE FOLK. I WAS KIND OF DISGUSTED BY A COMPLETELY SEE THRU DRESS, ESPECIALLY ON A PREGNANT WOMEN. I DIDNT ORDER FOR THAT KIND OF THING. I WANTED COMEDY, AND THIS AINT IT. IRREVERENT IS ONE THING, REVOLTING IS ANOTHER. I NEVER LAUGHED ONCE DURING THIS DVD. THE HUMOR ALMOST STRICTLY PERTAINED TO HOLLYWOOD PERSONALITIES AND THEIR EXPLOITS (WHICH I NEVER FIND THAT ENTERTAINING). SHE DOES HAVE A GOOD SINGING VOICE, BUT I DIDNT ORDER FOR SINGING EITHER. YOU WONT FIND MUCH COMEDY HERE. JEWEL

   I love Sandra Bernhard she is beyond hilarious!, on this DVD that originally was show as a HBO special, you get to see a visual of the the live performance and Sandra's funny expressions with her body movement and face. Let's not forget the outrageous outfit she wears on here, the dress was 100% see through not to mention she was about 5-6 months pregnant too. For some people that dress might be offensive, but to Sandra's fans it's hilarious!. This is a different live performance then the cd album of the same name. This was not filmed on Valentine's day as Sandra saids on the cd album version and "Walk Tall" is also not on here, but it is all the same very funny!, with alot of unseen footage that was not on the cd album or the broadcast version like when Sandra talks about Melanie Griffith's fake lips or Rosie O' Donnell's sexuality and the funniest on the unseen footage is "Diva Moments". for me I haven't seen this in a couple of years since it's first debuted on HBO, and today for Christmas I recieved it as the perfect gift of Sandra Bernhard.



5. This is one of the unfunniest things I've ever seen. The show mainly consists of made up anecdotes and songs and none of them are funny. Apparently Bernhard's idea of a joke is referring to people as 'Honey' or 'Darling', which makes the crowd (presumably consisting of her near friends) howl with delight.
   So if you're looking for a funny dvd I suggest you look elsewhere.

1. I just want to say I bought this album from Sandra's website, it's her newest release from a new record company. Sandra's still got it, she is absolutely hilarious. Sandra makes fun of everybody from The Bushs, to Julia Roberts on Broadway. Telling storys of how Bob Dylan broke up her family as a child, all while singing songs in between with her high energy voice, not to mention she still makes fun of Mariah Carey, hilarious. It's a great live album that will have you playing it over and over, and your stomach will be hurting so much from laughing. also the all girl band on this album are amazing. A must have for Sandra Bernhard fans!.



2. Sandra Bernhard is unstoppable! There are very few Live albums that can do justice to the perfomance, but "Everything Bad & Beautiful" is one of the best I've heard! Every track packs a punch. Take Sandra's cover of Missy Elliott's "Pussycat" for example, it rocks, enough for you to want to blast it. Along with lots of other great song selections and Sandra's famous take on society, it is Sandra after all! Not to be missed, and it's going out of print, prices will rise!



3. I laughed from start to finish. It made me think. Get misty. Sandra is at her very best. She has grown up, smoothed out, and knows her audience better than any performance artist/comedian around. Her pulse on politics and the icons of pop culture make her ripe for a talk show--tomorrow! I play it for just about every friend that stops by, and listen to it on my ipod when days get dreary. Brava!!!



4. A great great CD to pop in and just listen to the whole way through. Sandra's social commentary, voice, and humor are electric the whole way through. In my opinion her best CD.



5. Everything Bad & Beautiful is a prime and perfect example why Sandra Bernhard is one our best and funniest ladies. Sandra skillfully takes on a wide range of topics from our current adminstration to being a mother and a celebrity all with the flare and fire that you should expect. This album is a must for those who are tired of the same old shtich. Sandra is fresh, funny and talent to be reckon with.

1. You don't have to be five years old to enjoy this kind of music. This CD appeals to every person of any age. Kids and adults alike will get a kick out of listening to this amazing soundtrack from the equally amazing movie. Every song is perfectly appropriate, and you'll be happy to know that none of these songs are too babyish either.
   
   Probably the best song on the whole soundtrack is "Easy Goin' Day". Very catchy tune, with catchy and yet squeaky-clean lyrics. Not every song on the soundtrack is happy, though. The song "I'm So Blue" is enough to make anybody want to cry. Altogether, the CD has just the right balance of happiness and sorrow.
   
   Make sure you check this CD out sometime. You'll be glad you did.



2. I may be 18 now but I grew up on this movie and the soundtrack is a great addition to any cd library



3. I grew up with this movie and hearing the songs brought back the awesome childhood memories. "One little star" and "I'm so blue" brought tears to my eyes. "Upside down world" on the other hand cracked me up. I didn't think about it much when I was little, but when Ernie and Bert flew that airplane upside down I don't think they realized that they were asking for certain death. lol
   
   The only downside is there are monologues for a lot of the songs and I'm not really into that kind of thing. Plus the "One Little Star" song starts one minute into the track.



4. I loved this movie when I was a kid, now it's my daughter's favorite! Timeless, sweet songs.



5. got this to get even with my daughter. hopefully my granddaughter wants to listen to it as often as my daughter did when she was little. i still remember most of the songs!

1. When I bought a copy of this movie years ago on VHS, my daughter literally wore it out by watching it repeatedly. As soon as I found it on DVD, I snatched up a copy for myself as much as for my kids. I've lost count of the number of times that we've played it.
   
   This movie will have you laughing, repeating funny lines, and singing a few very catchy tunes, including one by Waylon Jennings, who plays a turkey farmer. Unlike me, my kids have never been big fans of Sesame Street, but they love this movie. Another good movie similar to this one is Elmo in Grouchland.



2. my daughter watched this over and over when she was little. i still have the soundtrack on vinyl! this one is for my granddaughter - i bought two! one for my daughter's house and one to stay here. great music.



3. My little one loves this movie. It was one of my favorites growing up so why not stick with what you know best. Even better in DVD- then the old VHS!



4. I think this was a good story, typical Sesame Street, but my 3 year old was crying through most of it because Big Bird was lost, and then he was blue, and oh no! That made her cry more. Anyway, you know your child; mine is still a little sensitive, obviously, so we've shelved this one for now.



5. I remembered this movie from when I was a kid, I use to love it. I took a chance and got it for my 2 year old and was I glad I did. It is now one of her favorite movies. She asks to watch it all the time, Her favorite use to be elmo now she really loves big bird. I give this movie a great review.
