2 comments about Romeo Rodney.
- Rodney Dangerfield has sung songs in some of his movies, most notably the animated "Rover Dangerfield" and "The 4th Tenor." Except for the last bonus track, all of the songs on this album were recorded from 2000 to 2004, when Rodney was old and in failing health. His version of "Strangers In The Night" does not compare favorably to Frank Sinatra's version, while the remix version of that tune is even worse. Rodney's song selection is somewhat strange, covering the religious hymns "I Believe" and "He." He's more enjoyable to listen to when he's singing the upbeat "I Spent My Birthday In Las Vegas" and "Rappin' Rodney," the title song taken from his 1983 comedy album. Rodney's even more enjoyable to listen to when he's telling jokes!
- OK - let me preface my comments by justifying the 2-star rating...It's Rodney Dangerfield - he was a class act. As for the CD: If you're looking for a few songs by a comedian accompanied by someone's cheesy clavinova, then this CD is for you. I bought this because of the last track, "Rappin' Rodney", and boy was I disappointed. It sounds like it was recorded from an old worn out cassette. Do yourself a favor - get all of Rodney's DVD's with his standup material and remember him for what he was - a comedy legend.

5 comments about Casper - A Spirited Beginning.
- To start out with, this is another one of those typical, cheap, grownups-are-stupid; kids-are-smart movies. This is nothing like the first movie. If this is how it all began then it does not tie in with the feature film Casper the Friendly Ghost.
How can a ten-year-old boy, who is in the 4th grade, be smarter than his 40-year-old-dad, who is a successful architect? What happened to Casper's father, who lived in a completely other part of the country, and the big scary mansion? It doesn't make any sense. This is a disgrace to the friendly phantom. The acting in this movie is at an all time low. They got low paid actors for a low paid movie. All of the horrible acting, sets, story, and CG make this movie the definition of a terrible movie. Should you watch this junk you will discover the dreadfulness of this piece of trash.
- The first Casper was a fun movie which I liked alot. After its success someone had the idea lets make a cheesy prequal with inferior effects that doesn't tie in with the first movie at all. In the first movie it says that ghosts scar because of emotion trama in this ghost scar because they are taken to some school to learn how to. Not a good vision of the afterlife is it. It also like I said before has terrible effects. They should have made a sequal with orginal cast and original effects quality. But this is awful.
- I watched the original theatrical movie that starred Christina Ricci and Bill Pullman, I watched it on a video tape and while that was a good movie I also liked this prequel movie which I first saw on TV. I actually like this more than the Christina Ricci movie, It is a cute movie and stars two of my favorite actors Steve Guttenburg, and Lori Loughlin and I really didn't find this movie to be disappointing at all. It is totally cute and charming!
- First off I want to say that before I watched the sequel Casper's Spirited Beginning I watched the original theatrical movie that starred Christina Ricchi and I thought it was boring but I liked this much better then the theatrical movie and didn't find it boring at all and I don't care that it's a made for television movie! This movie is funny and I like it!
- I use to have this movie on vhs and I recently purchased a copy on dvd. I totally forgotten how great and fun this movie is. I use to watch Casper cartoons and just loved this little character. The movie is just as wonderful as the cartoons. You will love the special effects and you will fall in love with Casper. The dvd special features includes a Casper cartoon. If you have children {or even if you don't} order this one and sit back and have some laughs.

2 comments about 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of Rodney Dangerfield.
- If you love Rodney, you'll at least like this. Recorded live, and probably a while ago. One long track with lots of his "no respect" material, then 8 or so tracks of longer (1-5 minute) bits. Some of the longer bits are very funny and you get a good sense of what it was like to see Rodney in person.
- Not really worth buying because it's basically no respect with a few miniutes of other material on the end. Buy No Respect instead. The material is 5 star though.

5 comments about Little Nicky (2000 Film).
- Excelente disco.
- This cd was tight! Disturbed, Linkin Park, P.O.D., and Cypress Hill make this a great rock cd. Theres only one problem... Why the heck is Filter on it?!! They aren't a rock band! Other than that, It's 2 big thumbs up
- When I saw Little Nicky in the theatres, I thought to myself, "This movie's got some pretty good music! Maybe I'll buy the soundtrack." I did, but I stupidly forgot to look at the tracklist. Nearly HALF of the songs from the movie aren't on here! Ironically, the songs that were omitted are the BEST ONES OF ALL. Read on to see what you don't get on it.
Ozzy Osbourne - Flying High Again, Mama I'm Coming Home, No More Tears Stampeders - Sweet City Woman Chicago - Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is, Saturday In The Park Scorpions - Rock You Like A Hurricane Dandy Warhols - Bohemian Like You Van Halen - Runnin' With The Devil ACDC - Highway To Hell Foo Fighters - Everlong There are also Zebrahead and Lit tracks missing The omissions of the above tracks is inexcusable, but still, the rest of the soundtrack DOES whip out some pretty good modern rock. The Linkin Park track, Points Of Authority, is a great example of this. Likewise, you get a remix of Disturbed's Stupify you can't get anywhere else (to my knowledge.) This is a good soundtrack overall, but if you plan to buy it, make sure it's got the song(s) you want!
- I bought this soundtrack after seeing the movie Little Nicky a bunch of times, and I thought to myself that it seemed like some songs were missing. After checking on the Internet, I found out that I was right! A bunch of great rock songs from the past (like "Running With The Devil" and "Highway to H*ll") were in the movie, but not on the soundtrack! Also, there are a couple of recent songs from the movie that aren't on the CD either. But, I do like this CD. Linkin Park's "Points of Authority", POD's "School of Hard Knocks" and Cypress Hill's "(Rock) Superstar" are my favorite songs. I also like "Cave" by Muse, "When Worlds Collide" by Powerman 5000 and "Pardon Me" by Incubus are really good. All in all, I recommend this CD to people who like rock/metal and the movie Little Nicky.
- Here is a compilation full of wellknowns and a few unknowns. Most people (like one of the featured reviews mentions) are unaware of the British rock band Muse who contributes their track "Cave" at #10 on this cd. The track is off their 1999 album "Showbiz" which is a musthave for any rock fan.
all in all, its an amazing cd!

5 comments about What's in a Name.
- "What's in a Name" is a perfect taste of Rodney's early years in the nightclub scene. You can even hear glasses hitting glasses and other various club noises in the background. He's a little toned down, but you still get tons of his trademark "I Don't Get No Respect" jokes. If you want to hear some of Rodney's greatest jokes before they were really famous and you don't want to spend a lot of money, this is the CD for you. I'm really happy my friend, Kevin McCarthy bought it for me.
- What if one day you woke up and realized that there was no Rodney Dangerfield? That is the question that Brian Gilmore posed to me the other day. I replied that I could not imagine a world without him, and that this cd proves why that is. A must listen!
- Here is an artist who can laugh the socks off your feet.I have heard "What's In A Name" on cassette and it is very well, and imaginative, as well as funny.
- Rodney is by far one of the funniest men ever to grace a stage, and this CD represents his humor almost perfectly. I say almost because the sound is of some of the worst I have ever heard. I've missed at least 8 or 9 punchlines because of the bad sound. Granted its live, but still. Other than the bad sound this is a great CD. Pick it up.
- I am a tremendous Rodney Dangerfield fan, so it hurts me to have to say the truth about this CD.
I was looking forward to some classic Rodney Dangerfield material. What I got was unfunny and poorly recorded. It's Rodney before he tapped the well of his comic genius. The material is almost there at times, but his delivery is amateurish compared to what he eventually came to do. It's a shame because the man is so much greater than what this product shows. Avoid this CD. Buy "No Respect". It's also a live recording, but that's where the comparison ends. "No Respect" is consistently funny even after many, many listenings and the recording is much better than this very disappointing CD.

5 comments about Casper: Music From The Motion Picture Soundtrack.
- Jordan Hill's, "Remember Me this Way" captures the movie so much, the soundtrack overall is a must buy with the classic movie
- I enjoyed "Casper" the film very much when it first came out. I suppose parts are a bit cheesy, but it's fun to watch. I've seen the film several times since then, and like many others, I've always been captivated by the haunting piano theme which comes back throughout the movie. The last time I saw "Casper" I decided I had to get the soundtrack--if only for that piano theme ("Casper's Lullaby"). Last Halloween, I did a "suite" of pieces from the soundtrack on my local radio program. Several listeners called in during "Casper's Lullaby" to ask "What is that *beautiful* piece?" I've heard "Casper's Lullaby" over a hundred times now, I'm sure, but I never tire of it. For such a simple-sounding tune, it evokes more thought, memories, and emotions than almost any other musical piece I have ever heard. It adds a lot to the film, but by itself it is just as moving. The soundtrack is worth it for that piece alone. The rest of the soundtrack is fun too; "No Sign of Ghosts" and "March of the Exorcists" are great mood-setters. Try this disc out at your next Halloween party!
After a long, hectic day, I find that escaping to a comfortable chair with a good pair of headphones and a favorite LP or CD helps me to relax and feel better. When selecting music to hear on such occasions, I reach for this CD often. Highly recommended!
- This soundtrack conveys sheer emotion in a brilliant and tender way. Many of the tracks involve very inventive synth sounds and "ghost" noises. However, many tracks are delicate and thematic. Tracks like #10 are really heart wrenching.
If you are a Horner collector, this CD shouldn't be missed.
- Casper has always been one of my favorite cartoon characters growing up, so buying this CD was very nostalgic for me. It is a beautiful soundtrack, perfect for anytime but certainly for Halloween. James Horner, who wrote the score for 'Casper', also wrote the score for 'Titanic'. Very beautiful and very moving!
- Much like the film, the Casper soundtrack is very well done, and comic but a little melancholy. Most of the tracks are light-hearted and funny, and are more than fitting for the entertaining ectoplasms that star in the film. Casper's Lullaby is sweet and somewhat melancholy, a haunting melody that captures both Casper's friendly personality and the sorrow he feels that he is dead. Overall, another excellent work from soundtrack genius James Horner.

- Though the sound quality isn't quite up to par on this show recorded , Rodney's jokes definitely are. He sounds a little more low-key on this recording, as it sounds like it's a small crowd there to see him. But as always, Rodney delivers the funny.
- This is another live performance of Mr. Dangerfield's. There was much overlap in the material from No Respect. Still if one is a big fan it is worth having.
- It has his first No respect joke on it. He says a lot of classic things on it. The sound was too low. He sounds as if he is mumbling.
I wish someone would compile his standup from his 70 appearances on the Tonight Show.

- WOW, 40 MINUTES OF RODNEY DOING HIS STAND UP ROUTINE, THE ONLY THING BETTER WOULD BE 80 MINUTES! TRULY IRREVERENT, POLITICALLY INCORRECT, AND LOTS OF FILTHY DIALOGUE, THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT SO GREAT! IF YOU LOVE RODNEY (AND WHO DOESN'T?), THEN GET THIS CD, IT WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH!
- Good old Mr. Dangerfield created an amusing personna that he used to great effect. Here are some very classic jokes for those interested.
- The world is a much sadder place without Rodney around. If you don't get some good hard laughs from these classic Rodney-isms, run to the hospital and try and get resuscitated. Hopefully its not too late.
To all the women on Internet dating sites who love to laugh and want to find a guy who can make them laugh, buy this and fall in love with Mr. Dangerfield.
- I'd heard a variety of Rodney Dangerfield one-liners in my time, but always wondered, is it possible that an entire album of one-liners could be that funny? Absolutely! Dangerfield is an example of a comic whose delivery and persona perfectly match his subject matter. The lines come out of him non-stop, each one relying on his sad-sack persona for the extra bit of pathetic humor.
What's most impressive about Rodney Dangerfield--and I'd say the same of Jackie Mason when I saw him in concert--is the absolute mastery and control that he has over his material and the audience. There are several instances of heckling during his set and he quiets them down with a quick retort and doesn't so much as skip a beat. At the end of the album he answers some questions from audience members and shows a flair for both improvisational humor and the ability to tie audience comments back to his own material. I'm stunned that I got this CD for about $7. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better comedy value anywhere. (Just for your calibration purposes, my favorite comedians are "early" George Carlin, Robin Williams, Mitch Hedberg, Woody Allen, Steve Martin, Bill Cosby and the Sklar Brothers.)
- Funniest man ever! A must own for every fan of the late Great One. Rodney was a master of his craft.

5 comments about Natural Born Killers: A Soundtrack For An Oliver Stone Film.
- Inspiring? No! Pleasant? No! Entertaining? No! Worthwhile? No!
What are you folks sniffing out there anyway? Whatever it is, please consider passing it along, because other than the single authentic and melodic track by Patsy Cline (i.e., Back In Baby's Arms, which is available on a zillion other collections including some of her own), this CD doesn't have an ounce of redeeming musical, lyrical or social value in my view. Nada! Zip!
Even the Dylan track is junk! The entire CD is essentially drivel, put to the dull, homicide-provoking sound of endless, droning noise, with an overall signal-to-noise ratio of about one (1.0)!!! What a WASTE of an A-to-D converter!
- Beyond the worth (or lack of it, depending on your opinion) of the movie, this soundtrack stand the test of time and is still in 2006 one of the most impressive soundtrack ever produced.
It is, in my very humble opinion, the finest work in Trent Reznor discography.
- ...but it was much cooler in 1994, that's for sure. What seemed haunting and beautiful then, is kind of cheesy in 2007, especially now that most of the artists have gone even further mainstream (Nine Inch Nails) or totally vanished (L7). "Sweet Jane" by Cowboy Junkies is one that has not faded at all, though...gives me chills!
- I have to say that this soundtrack is timless and will stay as a landmark in soundtracks for decades to come. Can't list all the great tracks here, Dylan's You be long to me, or Patsy Cline's Back in Baby's arms, Leonard Cohen.... or the more 'violent' tracks.. there are tracks for every taste, and every mood. and of course the soundtrack is a must for this movie lovers as it recalls every great scene as you listen to it. This soundtrack along with Pulp Fiction are a must in every 'soundtrack' section. its a genius blend of different songs from different eras and different styles.
- Natural Born KIllers was this movie that I always found to be intriguing, but I was never really sure if I actually LIKED or not. I've seen various different cuts of it and whatnot, etc. Yada yada...
THE SOUNDTRACK on the other hand, is an instant classic, made up of a nice selection of music that shares the same vibe and emotion of the movie:dark, angry, and original... also it's very good. I think just thr right songs were used in this film, ranging from some classic songwriters, some classic songs, and some classic songs as covered by some good indie names that some of your more unconventional music fans would no doubt dub classic. Also, as a lot of the audio clips from the movie are spliced in a long the mix, in pretty clever ways, you get a pretty good essence of the story too, as you listen... oooooooooh. So lets observe a little.
The Leonard Cohen songs are a little creepy. Pretty much bookends the mix, sans some Dogg Pound tracks at the end (yeah, Snoop 94 style, when his stuff was still fresh and clever) L7, Patti Smith, and The Cowboy Junkies add in some good female indie and/or punk slabs, Bob Dylans on here, sounding horse and old, and a little tired, but still good. YOU BELONG TO ME was a key song in the film.
Then theres the likes of NIN and JANES ADDICTION to PETER GABRIEL to PATSY CLINE on some tracks, but some of my faves come from artists I never heard outside this mix. The ragged country feel of Duane Eddys THE TREMBLER, The Hollywood Persuaders DRUMS A GO-GO, Lard...FORKBOY, and much much more (theres nearly thirty tracks in total here) varied all over the map, but with a very unique flow. This album may make you want to lay on the floor and stare blankly at the ceiling, but its still very well done. 5 stars. Soundtracks are a hard market to pull off, but this one can be listened to start to finish and is a good listen.
