   AUDIO FORM. STEINER'S COMPOSITIONS SEEM TO BE WRITTEN FOR
   ERROYL FLYNN AS GEORGE ARMSTONG CUSTER.
   WISH THEY COULD INCLUDE SOME OF THE DIALOG AS DONE IN CASSABANCA, GONE WITH THE WIND, BRIDE/SON OF FRANKENSTIEN.

1. I wish I would have taken better care of this cassette cuz its hard to find the CD. I really liked this album, more than his first "How Could It Be". 'Tonight' is a great ballad that i used all the time for my mix tapes in high school. Murphy has true voice control. Anyone who slams his music as 'laughable' probably just doesn't like 80's R&B.



2. Unlike Edddie Murphy's other 2 albums, this one is a hit.
   "Tonight" the last song is a great ballad that should be played at a wedding. "I Got It" is a great dance tune which was featured in the movie, "Coming To America".

2. I love this soundtrack. It's loud and clear and swinging and perfect music for the movie. I love it more every time I play it (which is often). (It's great to play it at work when the stress gets too much.)



3. I personally enjoyed the movie, and soon found the soundtrack via Amazon.com. I couldn't find it anywhere else, so I was glad I did. In my opinion, it is a CD that you can listen to time and time again. The first track, entitled "A Man For All Seasons" by Robbie Williams made a great opening credits theme, and it a fun song to get the CD going. I recommend this CD to anyone who has seen and enjoyed the movie.



4. The themes for "Johnny English" are quite good and very nice to listen to. So yes, when you listen to them, images of Rowan Atkinson ARE going to form in your head, but it's generally a very cool soundtrack. The first track, "A Man of all Seasons" by Robbie Williams is nice and is definitly a sing-along song!
   If you liked this movie and are a fan of espionage type music, you'll probably enjoy this album.



5. This soundtrack Johnny English is very inspirational you can sit down put on your headphones and enjoy the music the first track with Robin Williams is a very relaxing song i think that it makes a very good main titles theme..
   
   When you watch the film and listen to the soundtrack you remember the funny scenes of the movie.

1. This was Eddie Murphy's third attempt at a full fledged music album and apparrantly the third time was the charm. First off, he has a good, if undistinctive voice. He is never flat and never off key and puts a lot of feeling into his vocals. The opening track is called "Yeah" and features Garth Brooks, Barry White, Babyface, Bon Jovi, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and quite a few others repeating the words yes and yeah over and over as some kind of dreamy chant to positivity. I know it sounds like a bad idea on paper, but it is really quite catchy and strangely effective.Lets face it, this was the era of grunge depression music and gangsta rap, so to me it was kind of nice to hear this once arrogant entertainer offer up such positive energy. Next up is "I Was A King" with reggae artist Shabba Ranks, a song about slavery, racism and black pride. This one is also catchy and was played on the radio a few times, but never quite caught on. Then comes the title track, "Love's Alright", definately the best song Eddie has ever written.This song will take you to heaven. It is a Prince-soundalike song, but a damn good one. The next one, "Desdemona" is Prince meets "I Am The Walrus" and is also good. Apparrantly, he was really into psychedelia at the time. He also does decent covers of Hendrix's "Hey Joe" and The Beatles "Good Day Sunshine" as well as a duet with Michael Jackson called "Whatsupwitu" which is little more than a repetetive novelty song. I remember the video had it's world premier after an episode of "Martin" and much attention was paid to Michael's participation in the song and video. Overall, Eddie created a cool little psychedelic soul album here and musically, was really starting to find his way. Unfortunately, he stopped recording music after the commercial failure of this album.

1. This is a great collection of previously unreleased tracks as well as some tracks from his other two albums Comedian and Self Titled. There's twelve new (well still recorded in the 80's) tracks and six from the other albums. In my opinion the funniest tracks are still on the other albums. The Mr T jokes you have probably heard of are not on this album. The hilarious tracks Talking Cars, Myths/A Little Chinese and Black Movie Theatres are also absent and should really be on a greatest hits Eddie Murphy album.

   Still this album is worthwhile listening to but I think you will definitely buy the other two once you have this. If you are buying this for your kids because they love donkey from Shrek or the Nutty Professor or something just be aware it has a fair bit of swearing on it. I prefer the other albums (they also have better sound quality) but you won't really go wrong with this.




2. I grew up wanting to "Party All The Time" and chasing "The Ice Cream Man". I had the complete version of "Bar-B-Que" and "Drunk Fathers" memorized. But, tell me this....where is my "Shoe Throwin' Mother"? That is a classic Murphy bit and it was greatly missed on this CD. This CD could have been better...but I still got my kicks!!! Eddie Murphy.....wierd to see him in Daddy Daycare and Klumps and think of how he used to be. I give the CD about a 8 out of 10.



3. I LOVE THIS CD. IT IS FUNNY. I LOVE EDDIE MURPHY; HE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE COMEDIANS OF ALL TIME. I ENJOY HIS COMEDY AND I ENJOY HIM. EDDDIE HAS SOME OF SIGNATURE JOKES ON HERE: ICE CREAM MAN, FAGGOTS, HIT BY A CAR, AND MANY MORE BUY THIS CD IF YOU ENJOYED EDDIE IN THE 80'S THEN YOU WOULD DEFINITELY LOVE THIS CD!!!! BUY IT !!!



4. this is a great collection of some of his greatest comedy skits. i love all of these bits he does on this album it really rocks. eddie has always been my favorite stand up comedian. like i said he is the one and only he is one of a kind. like a few others i to wonder why they left some of his other hits of of this album? there were some more i feel should have been on here aswell. like the shoe throwing mother. and some others. well all in all im still happy with it. its worth the buy if you are into eddie murphy style comedy. this is the one for you. thanks for your time. hillybilly katz.



5. This is a good CD if you need some Eddie in your life. However, being a die-hard fan of Eddie's since his SNL days, I was disappointed to discover the first track is not the entire "Barbeque" bit that was on the "Comedian" album ("Delirious" VHS). It was chopped off and only contained Uncle Gus setting Charlie on fire, "Roll Charlie around, he'll be alright." Then it fades off into track 2, the rest of the "Barbeque" bit ("Goony-Goo-Goo" "Your wife is a big foot, isn't she Gus?") which is titled, "Drinking Fathers." Huh? This is the way it should have been: the first track should have been "The Barbeque" in its entirety, then track 2 should have been the actual "Drinking Fathers" which was released on Eddie's very first CD. It is just hiliarious. Also left out from the first CD was Eddie's bit about his senile grandmother always asking, "What time is it?" and "Why it's so cold in here?" Hiliarious. The song "Enough Is Enough" featuring Buckwheat and Little Richard was also left out. The first CD is out of print so it's usually expensive when you do find it. Luckily, my brother has the tape so I copied his.
   
   The rest of the CD is fine but they could have left off "Old Jew", "Buckwheat", and "Grandma Klump" and replaced them with one of the bits I mentioned above. I wish "Raw" was available on CD but unfortunately, it's not. They do have "C----' Hard" from "Raw" on this CD but that's it. It sounds as if it was recorded at a club maybe because it is not the exact same, word-for-word bit that's on "Raw." However, it is very funny, maybe even funnier than the one used on the VHS version.
   
   Like all greatest hits compilations, they always seem to leave some good stuff out. Whenever you pick up a greatest hits package, why is it that "your song" is never on there but the one you weren't so crazy about is? These are really not Eddie Murphy's greatest hits, but they are great and well worth the purchase.

1. This is BY FAR the BEST disney movie soundtrack since...EVER! The Songs are GREAT, the voices singing them are EXCELLENT, and the score is INCREDIBLE! This is even BETTER than Titanic or the Lord of the Rings music! Believe me, if you buy this you will NOT be disappointed!!!

2. And Lea Salonga has an amazing voice! I won't repeat what others have already said here about the wonderful (if incomplete) score; what I have noticed, however- unless they have updated and re-released this album since I bought it- is that the track titled "Mulan's Decision" is NOT the same music used in the actual movie at the point where Mulan makes the decision to take her father's place. Disappointing, since that is one of the best scenes in the film.



3. The sound track is excellent. Lea Solanga is outstanding and the selection of music is great. I found only one possible flaw and that was in the order of the tracks. I think it would been a much better flow if A Girl Worth Fighting For was followed by The Burned Out Village. As it stands now the song ends abruptly. The next track is True to Your Heart. The Burned Out Village should have followed "Girl . . .". The two are connected in the film so I think it proper that they be linked on the soundtrack. I think this is a big enough problem that I decided to downgrade my rating. A little more care and thought into the ordering of the selections would have made for a better soundtrack CD.



4. My daughter (17 years old) loves the music to this movie, and begged me to try and find the soundtrack. I generally come to Amazon for DVDs, CDs, and Books, I can generally be assured that I can find them here on Amazon.com. I have not personally listened to the CD, but my daughter has it loaded on her ipod, she seems happy with it...

1. For those people who loves the musical pictures, this is the most powerfull soundtrack I ever bought. Te performances of Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Hudsun are AMAZING!!!!. Its like you are seen the picture, just AMAZING!!!



2. Great CD set!! First CD contains major songs from the movie and is excellent; second CD is good too but contains lesser songs. Both are fun to listen to, very upbeat, and worth acquiring.



3. I love the music on this Cd, it has all the music from the movie dreamgirls. Be sure to buy this Cd because it has all your favorite dreamgirls songs. You will love this Cd it you are a fan of the music from dreamgirls.



4. WOW!! This CD is one of my all-time favorites, and I can't believe I waited so long to purchase it. It flows along much like the movie, and one cannot help but to visualize the movie while listening to this Broadway playlike production. When I listen to this cd in my car, I can't help but want to get out of my seat and dance (not that I would recommend that)! But you will be tempted. Not only is the music heartfelt, but it also has great beats and soul with songs performed by very talented artists. As we know, these artists include Jennifer Hudson, Anika Noni Rose, Beyonce', Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx, and others. I can definitely see why Hudson received such rave reviews for her singing on this album, as she is very talented and has a phenomenally, powerful singing voice. Of course Anika and Beyonce' were also great to listen to. However, it would have been nice two hear a song or two featuring Anika Noni Rose as the lead singer, because she really does have a beautiful voice. Also, I just absolutely love to hear Eddie Murphy sing on this album. He's exciting to listen to, and sings with so much soul and spirit that it makes you want to dance. Jamie uses the softer sound of his voice on the songs he sings, but they are great to listen to nonetheless.
   
   All I can say is you need to add this cd to your collection. It is upbeat and cannot help but to put anyone in a great mood. It is a must have for any music library. It is much better than the single cd, as more songs are included from the movie, as well as different versions of a few of the original song. If you like soul and true singing, get this now. One thing is for certain, I'll be listening to this one for a long time to come!



5. Now what can you say about this album that hasnt already been said all i can say is if u like soulful music an powerful meaning an words then buy it you wont regret its hard to listen to music anymore an get chills from not only by the person singing it but what there saying in it BUY IT

1. I still have this disc in constant rotation and truly only skip one song, CADILLAC CAR. But let me rhapsodize for one moment about the breakout star of this movie & soundtrack IMHO, Ms. Jennifer Hudson! Every time I see or listen to her performance of I AM CHANGING, I swear the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I tear up. Her version of AND I AM TELLING YOU was good but in my opinion, Jennifer Holliday's version was superior just for the sheer gut-wrenching quality & desperation in her performance. J-HUD'S version of ONE NIGHT ONLY is soulful and beautiful as is the "why wasn't this a hit single?", LOVE YOU I DO & MOVE (both get my feet tapping every time I hear them).
   
   This cd is a faithful run-down of the songs as performed in the movie so everytime I listen to it at work, I imagine the scenes and get this big goofy smile on my face because I enjoyed it so much. In addition to the previously mentioned tracks, my faves are:
   
   FAKE YOUR WAY TO THE TOP - Eddie channels all the great r&b/soul singers on this toe-tapping track
   
   STEPPIN TO THE BAD SIDE - my fave part is actually the end as "Thunder & The Dreamettes" take over
   
   I WANT YOU - Eddie sounds great on this track!!
   
   DREAMGIRLS - Beyonce does her thing on this one and perfectly channeled Diana Ross during the movie performance
   
   IT'S ALL OVER - I have to stop myself from reciting this track out loud, it's angry & funny at the same time
   
   HARD TO SAY GOODBYE - beautiful track
   
   DREAMGIRLS (finale) - J-HUD brings the drama & soul to this brief track
   
   For those who enjoyed the movie & the music, I'd highly recommend getting this disc. Also to those who want to whett their appetite till J-Hud's debut album is released, this is a great way to introduce yourself to this powerful new vocalist.



2. Jennifer Hudson's booming voice makes it worth the price of the CD. If you saw the movie listening to the CD is almost like reliving the movie.
