  1. i loved this cd, and the movie, i think, is the funniest movie this year! you gotta buy this cd! even if you didnt see the movie!

  2. How many remakes of the "Chanukah Song" do we have to endure! I never liked the song in the first place simply because it really isn't funny. I only saw the movie because it was so overly promoted that I anticipated it would be something great, which it was not. Were the producers in a hurry to get this out for Chanukah? The Christophopic overtones is outragious and it simply was not funny!

  3. This is what Adam Sandler was made for. He made one of the funniest movies of 2002. How does this man make up all these hilarious songs and do most of the chachter's in the movie. This is a wonderful CD packed with the great songs from the movie. I think it is well worth the 10 or so bucks to get and i promise you will laugh so much when listening to this. Adam is awesome!!!!!!!

  4. This cd should be called another Sandler album, rather that just a soundtrack. Yes, it includes all of the songs from "8 Crazy Nights," so, in that sense it is a soundtrack... but all of the songs are written and performed by Adam Sandler. They do include other people, but so do songs from his other albums. So, in that sense it should also be called a Sandler album. Call it both... but anyway, this is a very good cd, short (only 8 songs), but the songs are great.

    The most memorable songs include:

    "Davey's Song"
    "Technical Foul"
    "Bum Biddy"
    "Chanukah Song, Part 3"

Wether you collect Soundtracks from movies, or you collect Sandler albums, this cd deserves a spot in your collection.

  5. For those of you that think this movie is unfunny, you obviously haven't seen Adam Sandler's mind-numbing appearance in Punch Drunk Love. His character Barry Egan was so pathetic and boring. It is unmistakable that Adam Sandler is a comedian, so why would he try a romantic film?
Having said that, I think Eight Crazy Nights is hilariously funny, but this is not really a kid's movie, but more of a cartoon for adults. It is a nice holiday movie, Sandler's first animated movie, but hopefully not his last. It was also the first real movie to focus on the Jewish holiday of Hanukah. This movie I think is very underrated. The music, animation, and the added vocals of Alison Krauss for the singing voice of Jennifer was a nice touch.

  1. THIS is what rock'n'roll is supposed to sound like, kids. Ostensibly the soundtrack album to a spy movie of the same title, "Bulletproof" features driving guitars and drums, great hooks (especially on the first two tracks, "Turn Away" and "Cyclone"), and a firm committment to the garage ethos. This is the second release from the Mortals (their first, Ritual Dimension of Sound, is at least as good), and if CDs ever wear out, it will be the first of mine to do so.

  2. Bulletproof is one of the funniest movies I've seen. The soundtrack is great for bumpin at a party or rollin down the strip. The album starts off with the theme song from the movie, Salt-n-Pepa's Champagne, then moves on to some very catchy toons with Tha 2 of Us and Where I'm from. Overall this is a good album that I would suggest to anyone enjoying R&B and HipHop.

  1. Red Hot Chile Peppers have a great song, "Soul to Squeeze" and "Tainted Love" is good as well, but all the others are at best average.

  2. Short and simple is one description for this CD, but that's not what bugs me the most! Of most, I wanted to hear Dan Aykroyd's rendition of 'Tainted Love' and 'Don't Want To Hold My Cone Alone'. The other versions, I can get them else where! Very dissapointing.

  3. I pretty much got this CD for one reason-"Soul to Squeeze" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. There is only one more CD on the planet that has that song, and it's very hard to find. This and "Tainted Love" are great songs, but the rest was mediocre.

  4. This is one of those times that you ask, "Why does this even have a soundtrack?" I mean, the best thing about the movie was Chris Farley, and he wasn't even a conehead. Actually this is half-way decent. Tracks 4-9 are all good. When this came out, I thought it was kind of strange to have the Chili Pepper's on it. It's like putting "The Thrill Kill Kult" on the "Flintstones" album. But hey, I guess that's what soundtracks are for. The last track is a dancy number sung by the Coneheads. Good or bad depending on what you want. Get this used.

  5. Morten Harket's (of A-ha fame) cover of the Frankie Valley song is the best version of the song that I have ever heard, even surpassing the original. This song will be played at my wedding later this month; not bad for something from the Coneheads soundtrack! The REM song ain't too bad either. Other tracks are okay, but I bought it just for track #5 in mind.

  1. This album contains only rap and no rock songs. This was very disappointing to say the least.

  2. (...) weres the CCR and all the good music from the movie?! This is crap. why wouldn't they at least put acdc on there when there song was played during the comercial? makes no sence at all

  3. I had ordered this CD for my husband. He likes the movie "The Longest Yard" and he wanted to get the soundtrack of the movie. Unfortunately at the time of ordering it did not specify what songs were included in the CD, but I thought if it was from The Longest Yard movie, then it would be the soundtrack.Well, I received the package and gave it to my husband for him to open, he started playing it and was very disappointed. He ended up getting a CD full of stupid rap songs. I am not happy with what I received, if I could send it back and get something else I would, but I know it will be a hassle to even ask for an exchange. My suggestion to other people is to find out exactly what they're lookin for before placing an order and just because the cover looks like the original,it does not mean it's what you're really looking for. I only spent $12.00 which is a good thing, but it could have lost a lot more.
    Thank you

  4. Was not happy with the item. Was expecting the orginal soundtrack of the actual movie with adam sandler. Looking for the version with the music that plays during the movie with ac/dc. What I purchased just really wasn't my type of music.

  5. this sucks . i enjoyed the movie and all the music in it made me think it would be an awsome soundtrack . NONE OF THE MUSIC FROM THE MOVIE IS IN THE SOUNDTRACK . NONE OF THE GOOD OLE SOUTHERN ROCK THAT THEY PLAY EVEN GETS MENTIONED. i bought it , played it and circular filed it . its in a landfill somewhere by now.

  1. This is garbage, any way you sniff it. I was a big fan of his earlier CDs but if you're looking for laughs here there are only about three of them. This CD reminds me of Adam Sandler's movie career in regards to how his movies are getting continually worse. This, however, ups the ante; there are no redeeming qualities about this CD at all. I can't be emphatic enough to potential buyers: don't. It's very, very bad. It's the culmination of his tired humour, which seems to get worse as the years go by, combined with clearly very little effort put in here. I'd be surprised if he spent more than a lazy week completing it from start to end.

  2. I can't stand Adam Sandler's movies but his albums have always been consistently funny. This is the most inconsistently funny album he's ever produced. A few of the laugh out loud skits include "Gay Robot", "Sid and Alex" and "Calling Home"; the charcters in the latter skit seem to be all played by Sandler and his voices and lines are gut-bustingly funny. And "Gay Robot" is just plain hilarious. Of course, this has its fair share of singing from Sandler and "Secret" is, by far, the funniest. Unfortunately, most of the rest of these skits are so tired and boring that you have to wonder if Sandler hasn't hit a wall as far as his album creativity goes. "Wolfman" is SO painfully unfunny that you just end up squirming uncomfortably waiting for something remotely amusing to materialize. And the Pibb skits, his latest recurring character, are just dumb and flat. Some skits even reach the realm of irritating such as "Creepin' On The Mayor" which involves a character hiding in a garbage can from people who want to beat him up. That's it. Wow, that's funny.
You're better off focusing on just five or six tracks and ditching the rest (Sid and Alex, Gay Robot, Secret, Boss and the Secretary, Mule Session, Newlyweds-Sleepyheads, and Calling Home should do it for you).
Oh, and a quick response to all of the people who are obsessed with this album being "dirty". Have you people been asleep for the past 13 years?? That's what makes a Sandler album is his filthy and lewd talk! Sandler's funniest bits are the dirty ones and it's always been that way!

  3. I wish amazon would allow you to give half stars, because this album is better than a three but not quite a four. The stuff that works is really funny, but unfortunately the stuff that doesn't work really stinks. Rob Schneider is hilarious in "Whore! Where are you!" playing a wanna be tough guy (of undefined ethnicity) who is actually a p-whipped wuss. You may have heard "Gay Robot" which is amusing in a crude, semi-homophobic way. "Sid & Alex" is funny because of the delivery and the sheer peculiarity of it. As far as the songs go, "The Mayor of Pussytown" is a hilarious send up of gangsta rap with a twist, and "Secret" is funny for its absurdly inane chorus. However, much of the rest of the album is uninspired and only mildly amusing, and strangely enough most of the funniest moments come from contributing players and not Sandler himself. If you're a big fan of Sandler's comedy then don't hesitate to pick this up, but "caveat emptor" to all others.

  4. this is his newest gig and it is just as good as the other ones

  5. I has cost a little getting this album because in spain not sell it, but it is one of the best works of Adam Sandler. I am very fan of him and I am delighted to have succeeded.

I am also very happy for the delivery of service that has AMAZON and continue buying there.

    Sorry for my english!

    Abel

  1. I got this album way back, and although I liked the songs then, I didn't really appreciate it. Since then, after I "discovered" Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Sara McLaughlin, and more, I had a gained a much deeper appreciation for music, and for those artists who are able to make you feel what they feel when they wrote, sang, or played their music. Listening to this album now, it's obvious to me that Sandler has the same quality as well, the ability to express himself nakedly in his music. The humor might somewhat obscure that quality, but it's there if you pay attention.

That's not to say they're aren't silly songs meant to get cheap laughs. Most of them are. However, a couple of gems like "Corduroy Blues" and especially (especially) "Listenin' to the Radio" reveal Sandler to be the artist he really is.

  2. People are complaining about this cd being all songs. Well, what is wrong with that...the guy was always singing songs anyway. People obviously haven't listened to the lyrics if you claim that there is nothing funny on the cd. Hell, one of the songs is an old favorite from SNL called RED HOODED SWEATSHIRT..just retouched for the radio audience. You people sicken me. This cd is gold. It's both funny, and just a great sounding cd. I was surpised how well Listening to the Radio works as song without or without the comedy element. But forget creativity...the people complaining just wants skits...sorry..I always like the songs better than the skits anyway.

  3. I have not heard this CD but when I heard it I was impressed by Adam's musical talent

  4. if you want to hear good music buy this album it will blow you away good cd to add to your collection.

  5. For my is the best album of Adam Sandler.

    Great Job! ;-)

  1. love the movie, love the soundtrack

  2. Nice album but FYI if you're looking for GNR like one of the other reviewers was, until the new album is for sale on Amazon you can find the new material the reviewer was talking about (as well as other examples of new GNR material) at... www .newgnr. com /dloads/audio/ (without the sapces of course).

  3. I've seen this movie literally at least 45 times. I know the whole movie by heart, and i really actually liked this soundtrack. I reccomend this movie and soundtrack.

  4. I hope you like this soundtrack as much as I did. I listen to this soundtrack in the car while I am driving home from work in traffic. For what it's worth, the music is very cheery and I think if you are into alternative you will like it as much as I did. The songs I liked the most on the soundtrack were: "Rush", "Sweet Child O'Mine", "Only Love Can Break Your Heart", "When I Grow Up", "What is Life". Those are the ones that I usually repeat in my car because they are really upbeat and don't put you to sleep. I recommend you listen to those. Of course it also has a couple of classic older songs in there which are also good to rip to your Mp3 player and listen to when you are trying to just sit down and relax.

Now, keep in mind that if you saw the movie and loved it(I know I loved that movie), they have a couple of clips of some of the funny things said by the cast in the movie. You may want to check these out if you have time of course. Good luck and enjoy the soundtrack.

  5. Although this was a standard Adam Sandler spoof on what we all wish we could do ( slack off). The Movie was very entertaining and worthwhile. You should watch Cole and Dillon Sprouse in their very own right on the Disney Channel( they played Julian). This soundtrack displays some very good material. Although some of the weak points were with Limp bizkit's contribution and the addition of Dialogue from the movie as well. I think all in all this soundtrack covers a lot of ground and does a well rounded job in adding rock with some standard classics such as Styx's "Babe". Other Good tracks that i enjoyed would have to be:

    - melanie C.: "GaGa" ( don't judge her solely because of her involvement with the spice girls! people do evolve you know.)
-And absolutely Sheryl Crow's version of "Sweet Child O' Mine"
which I think was beauttifully done and whose version was a little more appropriate for the plot line than the original.

    * note if your going to crtique someone's song at least know how to spell her name :P ( see review below)

5 comments about Stan and Judy's Kid.
  1. Adam Sandler's fourth album, "Stan and Judy's Kid", starts off a little slow, but once it picks up, it gets better. Track 1, "Hot Water Burn Baby", is slow and just not very funny. Track 2, "Cool Guy 1", is hillarious, and the album gets a little slow again with the live version of "7 Foot Man", but after that song, the rest of the album is hillarious. The best skits are all the "Cool Guy" skits( wait till you hear the surprise ending of "Cool Guy 5"), "Whitey", "Inner Voice", and the dark but funny "The Psychotic Legend of Uncle Donnie", and the best songs are "Dee Wee(My Friend The Massive Idiot", which is hillarious if you have been to Massachusetts, as it makes fun of a guy who lives in Brockton, Massachusetts) and the live version of "The Chanukah Song:Part 2" (which is even better than the original version). I also enjoyed Sandler's two Frank Sinatra imitations, "She Comes Home To Me" and "Welcome My Son". Both imitations are hillarious, and the lyrics sound like they were written by Adam Sandler while the music sounds like it was written by Frank Sinatra. Sandler is very good at imitations, and now that Sandler has imitated Frank Sinatra, it would be hillarious if he imitated someone like Gene Simmons, Mark Slaughter, Ozzy Osbourne, or Eddie Murphy. With "Stan and Judy's Kid", Adam Sandler has proven himself to be a comedic genius.

  2. After Sandler's "Whats Your Name" Album i wasn't expecting much but i was surprised. These are his best skits on any album not nessisarily the songs but the skits are great. Uncle Donnie, the Peeper, Whitey, and the Inner Voice are great. If you like skits and you like Adam Sandler then buy this album.

  3. 7 foot man, the chanuka song part 2, she comes home to me, cool guy, the peeper....and on it goes.
Don't miss this one. The reason why i wouldn't give this one a five stars review, is because it doesn't include more songs.
Adam Sandler is great, not only for what he performs, but for enjoying every single minute while doing it...

  4. This one is not as good as the other but it still has its funny monments

  5. I was surprised at the language. I know it had an advisory on it, but I was still surprised. I did not think the cd was all that funny. I really wanted the hannukah song and of course that is good.

  1. Do you think jokes about a mom making her sons masticate by the pool is funnY? No, I dont either!! But this is all my friends play!! For humor I prefer Woody Allen!1 Go seee Scoop with Scarlett!!!

  2. This is a great CD, yes there is some matrial here that rambles on, and some un-funny bits, but the other bits make up for it. To the reviewer that thinks this is sick and recommends Woody Allen, hmmm...Whats sicker, Sandler humor, or the fact that Woody married Soon Yi, the adopted daughter of his former girlfriend???

  3. this is probably one of my favorites out of his CD's I was laughing to the end

  4. This one of Adam's best if not the best of his CD's. My 16 year old begged for it for Christmas, so I purchased it here on Amazon, knowing I would not be disappointed! Adam Sandler is hilarious in all he does, and this CD proves that many times over. Sure it has explicit lyrics, but even a 12 year old would laugh their butts off at Adam's goofiness. "The Goat" cracks me up time after time, as does "Ode to my car." Buy it!!

  5. It's my opinion that Adam Sandler is no longer funny, however this CD perfectly captures what was once an amazing talent.

Each skit or song on this album is a finely crafted comedic masterpiece.
    The highlights are:

-Joining the Cult: A LOL funny conversation between two friends, one of whom is trying to convince his buddy to join a cult to meet girls.
Best line: "Is it a nice haircut?" "It's gonna be a haircut alright? You ask for haircut their gonna f****** cut your hair, you're going in and saving $5.00, just f****** do it!"

-The Goat: Which is the centerpiece of the album, about a bunch of stoners having a conversation with a surly talking goat.
Best line: "You know Garaputo, that fat s***..."

-Sex or Weightlifting: A man on the street quiz asking people to decipher if a tape recording is people having sex or working out in a gym.
Best line: "This man is either gay himself or...not...straight"

The only track that never made me laugh was "Do It For Mama" just a little too sick for my taste, but they are all great.

That being said, the album is meant for Junior High School sensibility and I have not listened to the album since then, but have fond memories.
But it's definitely raunchy, so parents be warned.

This album actually led to an HBO special and amazingly got a lot of airplay for the classic "Piece of S*** Car" with all the curse words censored by car noises. They even tried playing the music video for "Steve Polychronopolous" on MTV, it was Sandler-mania.. and of course "The Chanukah Song" remains a classic to this day.

  1. This is one of the best comedy albums of all time. I must have listened to this at least 100 times. It has CLASSIC CLASSIC stuff like Tool Booth Willie, The Baffoon skits, the beatings of teachers....its just aweome. And of course...who could forget that it had LUNCHLADY LAND on it! Its worth buying the album just for that one song.

  2. I had this when it was on cassette it is still just a s funny now as it was then. good buy

  3. I'm writing this review because I just purchased his newest CD. Frankly, I would rather praise his best record than rip the hell out of his (second worst). Put simply, using potty humor is a very easy tactic to pull on a comedy-seeking audience. However though, just like finding a cure to cancer, it's very difficult to properly execute in a FUNNY way. Adam Sandler has released 5 albums up to this point, and they've been pretty cool, with the painful exception of "Stan and Judy's Kid" which was his fourth outing. For the record, I'd like to proclaim right now that his second installment "They're all Gonna Laugh at You" is a masterpiece. Of all five records, this is the best of his work. Unlike the four other CDs, ALL of TAGLAY's tracks are short and very entertaining. The characters are memorable and are in a very sick way funny as hell. The best part, in my opinion, is the fact that this record follows a common theme: High School. Adam's got a thing to his work where he provides us with about five original story tracks (which feature original and non-recurring characters who tell their jokes and disappear), approximately 5 original songs (which are almost always pretty damn good), and then the remaining tracks center around one particular highlighted character who makes miraculous appearences in multiple tracks. Unfortunately, not all of these characters are funny or interesting enough to hold our attention, and at points, can be very VERY annoying. This is bad for our wallets because if you are not satisfied with a "main character" you have to deal with him/(never a her)ruining a good portion of the album. For "What the Hell Happenned to Me," it was "the excited southerner" and "the cow" who where funny, but boring after a while. In "Stan and Judy's Kid," we had "the peeper" and "Sean" who were really not very funny at all, but bearable. With the new cd "Shh...Don't Tell" we have the "mayor of p***y town" and "Mr. Pibb" who are absolutely UNFUNNY. Maybe I was just born with a black heart, but I LOVE "the buffoon" and the "severe beating" characters in "They're All Gonna Laugh at You." Every track is laced with an original high school situation that you just can't help but laugh at. The dudes on the train in the track "Buddy" are fun to listen to. Conan O Brien's conversation with "the buffoon" is so surprising (and morbidly explicit). The mom in the track "Oh Mom" is annoying at first, but then you just break out laughing because she's relentless. "Tolbooth Willie" is funny because it's reminds me of the Howard Stern show and all of the creepy people he brings on who cannot control their emotions. The songs on this CD are great too. "Food Innuendo Guy" is fast, clever and can make you laugh without using curse words. "A Medium Pace" is the polar opposite of "FIG." It's slow and so sexually morbid, you'll be in stiches almost all the way through the song. "Lunchlady Land" from Saturday Night Live is also fun. It's fabulous. Very R rated as well, so be careful if you have a little kid around. All in all, if you want some good Adam Sandler on your Ipod, try this one out first before you go to the more attractive looking records. They really let me down, but maybe you'll find something to like there too (that I couldn't). Cya.

  4. Originally from New Hampshire, this is Adam Sandler's debut album made in 1993-1994. I first heard Adam Sandler when someone played "Lunchlady Land" on the way back from Storyland back in the mid 1990s. That song and some of the other songs and skits on here are hilarious. However, this album is not appropriate for kids due to the high sexual references and foul language, so it should be played for kids at their parents' discretion.

  5. This got old REALLY quickly. With the exception of his songs, which are entertaining, there's little replay value, here. I thought this was great when I was in high school. You know what they say about hindsight...
