This is a wonderful identification guide to collecting Shirley Temple items and dolls for the new or advanced collector.The large color photos and descriptions keep me coming back to the book for enjoyment and reference. Not only that, but the author has a refreshing way with words that give the book personality.A teacher one told me years ago " Books are our Friends".In this case its true. Again, I give the book Shirley Temple Identification And Price Guide by Suzanne Kraus-Mancuso 5 Stars!



2. I just loved both books on Shirley Temple!

   Volume 2 has even more than volume 1 as far as pictures and memorabilia goes. I loved the pictures with the people she starred with in her movies ( it brought back fond memories from my childhood.
   More people should be interested in Shirley, it is a great subject for children-even today!
   We buy the videos for our grandkids.




3. Awesome and amazing! Need I say more! This book is fabulous as was Volume One! The pictures are incredible and the information is extremely helpful. This author did a fantastic job creating this price guide for all the Shirley fans in the world who just can't get enough! It has been quite a while since an author has done a new Shirley price guide and it was much needed. But this Author's version was much different than the other price guides as it shows everything and anything that is out there...old and new! Shows us Shirley fans that there is still a high demand for our loved Shirley and her memorbilia. Highly recommend! A++++++

1. That's what this book is for any dollhouse collector. If it is true that dollhouses are addictive and you can't have just one, Vivian Greene lives up to that ideal. Her rescue of antique dollhouses from the dustbins of Britain sparked a dollhouse revival that spread to the US and around the world. Yet the book is not full of the grandious rooms of Queen Mary's Dollhouse or Colleen Moore's. It is full of objects and ideas that are well within the reach of the serious and even not so serious collector, as well as period design authentic to each era. Mrs. Greene's dollhouse collection begins with a 17th century dollhouse and continues up to when dollhouses began to be commercially produced. Each is a one of a kind historical artifact. This is my favorite dollhouse book bar none.

1. If you're a toy collector (and if you're not, why are you reading this???) you will really enjoy leafing through this book. It isn't all inclusive, by any means, but it gives a very nice overview of the subject and is LOADED with large color photographs. Even my wife liked looking at them -- and that's saying something! There are several tables and a list of manufacturers in the back and an index. Well worth a few bucks.

1. The colored pictures in this guide are beautiful and extremely helpful in identifying some Annalee dolls, however, with many of the dolls having similar names, and the dates on the tags not being when they were actually introduced, there are many dolls that you are not able to identify correctly. The original price guide, written by the Thorndike family, was very helpful because it gave very explicit descriptions of the dolls, making it very easy to identify specific characteristics of dolls with similar names. This guide stops early in 2001. A newer, more user friendly book needs to be published, but until then, this one will help somewhat with doll identification.

1. This was a waste of time and money for me. The Title says for collectors and the cover says with prices. I found it to be a loose collection of pictures with VERY little information on any of the dolls. The vast majority of dolls have no priceing and the few that do have, in my opinion, unrealistic prices. Wondered how a publisher would put money into such a waste until I looked. Self published.



2. This book is a visual feast and has lots of interesting information. I wish the author would have put more info about prices and less about Seminole dolls. I did enjoy it and will use it for reference in the future. Good book in a field that is lacking information (Indian doll collecting).
