1. Not only were the prices off, but they did not know anything about the toylines. Authors have no idea what year figures were even made. How can they possibly price them?



2. This is a very good book. It has complete listings of american toys and pictures. The pictures are b&w and color, but NOT ALL OF THE TOYS are presented in pictures. Each listing have three prices in $, the Complet No Package (CNP), the Mint in Package (MIP), and Mint In Mint Package (MIMP).

1. This book covers most of the popular artists who create collectibles, and includes original prices for entire collections, contact info on companies, index of artists. A great reference for updating insurance or for looking up what you have missed, or have inherited!



2. This guide covers most of the major brands of collectibles, from Anheuser-Busch steins to Swarovski crystal and Willitts Designs Just the Right Shoe. It lists the original prices, retirement date, edition size, and replacement values for 68,000 items. It is very useful if you are planning to sell on an auction site and need to set your reserve--at least you'll know what it originally cost, and have some idea of what dealers are reselling it for today. Very useful. Good value.

1. This is a beautiful book and a very precious one as well. I have the leather bound version with gold leaf. It is a very special piece in my collection of art books. The photos are crisp and bright and the information on each artist gives just a glimpse into the techniques used to create the featured pieces and a bit about the artist as well. Nice light reading accompanied by a very diverse collection of works.

1. A different reference and price guide for folks that now collect the dolls they enjoyed playing with when they were young. It covers dolls from Shirley Temple, to American Girls Dolls, to paper dolls and G.I. Joe. It features over 300 dolls, with most in full page black and white photos. 28 are in full color. Many of the original doll and accessory ads and catalog inserts are included. Accompanying the pictures is sufficient interesting background information and doll history. Dolls from the 20's through the 90's are included. An interesting and useful book.
