1. This is a terrific bottle reference book. It tells you how to identify bottles by age, color, style, and much more! Bottles are easy to find, and price. Many pics. A++

1. "Lalique Perfume Bottles" by Glenn and Mary Lou Utt is the definitive book on the work of the Lalique in one of the most important aspects of the family's design history. Rene Lalique designed the bottle for "l'Effleurt" for Francois Coty, originating the concept of a specific bottle designed for a single fragrance. Lalique later produced bottles that would house any of Coty's dozens of scents, but the concept of individuality in presentation was born in 1907.

   The book is thorough in its descriptions and its pictures. Every flacon mentioned is illustrated, and there is a table in the back which lists them all as well.

   There are two drawbacks to the first edition: There are some errors - pieces listed that are not in fact by Lalique, and some older designs have come to light. Much of this was dealt with in an addendum given to attendees at the International Perfume Bottle Collector convention in Atlanta in 1991, which may or may not be available elsewhere.

   The second drawback is that it was written in 1990, before a boom in perfume bottle collecting, which included the release of Lalique's own fragrance in 1994.

   Bringing the first edition up to date would mean including the changes made in 1991, and adding more recent designs. Fortunately, other than the colored stoppers of the classic double dove bottle for "L'air du Temps," the only new styles are those produced by Lalique either for their main crystal line, or for their own four fragrances.

   I hope that the book is updated, I will be eager to add it to my collection.

La colección iniciada en 1994 para su propia fragancia Lalique es preciosa, espero con ansiedad y mucha curiosidad por ver la próxima. Yo las tengo todas, gracias al amor de mi familia, que cada año me la regalan. Estoy interesada en conseguir libros relacionados con el arte del cristal Lalique. Espero la nueva edición de este libro en especial.

1. If you ever owned, or wanted to own a lunchbox from the 50's through the 80's, this is the book for you. This book provides fond memories of school days, mom's lunches and "what was cool!". Full color photographs of the boxes and thermoses from various angles really make it a must for someone interested in lunchbox collecting or for someone just looking for a fond recollection of a simpler day gone by...



2. There are indeed some lovely shots of classic lunch kits in this volume. However, I have yet to find a book that approaches the thoroughness, photographic appeal, or wit of the two books by the fellow who started it all, Scott Bruce. If you are a beginning collector, the best thing you can do is get hold of the Bruce books for a comprehensive history and background, and then sign on to www.lunchboxpad.com, a website run by a young collector, for a realistic current price guide.

1. This book is more than a colledtor's handbook, it is my bible. It has brought great joy to my life, I don't know which is more fun-finding my miniatures to purchase or coming home and finding them in Jeri Lyn Ringblums' book. I would purchase any of her work!!!!The color,detail,information about each miniature perfume bottle is wonderful.I would suggest to anyone to buy 2 of her books at a time because the first one will get worn out. Such fun to wear out a Book.



2. This is a great book for all collectors of minis. It has good photographs and information. Best of all, the prices are next to the pictures. This saves a lot of time when looking up many bottles at once.



3. This book has become my "Collector's bible" since purchase.
   The information is concise, informative and the photos are sharp and clear.An excellent book for beginners and established collectors alike because it deals with modern bottles available world wide.
   The launch dates are a great asset for those who catalogue and date their collection and the price guide enables buyers to keep perspective when bidding or buying.
   One small problem is the indexing which in places is incorrect.

1. This book is written for collectors but as a woodcarver, I appreciate the history of woodcarving that is a part of this book. The book is filled with great color photos of carvings done over many years. On the downside, it cost me more money because after reading it, I ended up going to ebay and bidding on several anri carvings. I did note than a number of the carvings for sale were being sold by the books author.

1. This book is great to have if you are a collector of Coca-Cola bottles.Being able to see what the bottles look like is nice.



2. Quality paperback book helps you identify and value over 800 bottles which are beautifully pictured in full life-like color. Covers 8 oz and 10 oz bottles. A brief description of the bottle accompanies each entry. Well indexed for easy locating. A useful reference book.



3. Has a limited number of bottles - there is not as many commemorative bottles as I was expecting. I could not use it for my collection.

1. Ms. Bowman's books on miniature perfume bottles are full of color photos and lots of fun facts about them. I have both of her books and browse/ read through them over and over again. I never quit learning from her and look forward to more books by her in the future.

1. Although this is a cute little book with nice pictures, it is lacking in content. Too much history and not enough pictures of what is available today. It did not include any monetary values, not enough pictures of miniatures from the past 25 years, not very interesting ...actually it was nice to look at once, but otherwise a waste of money. I have about 40 of these little bottles and only about 8 were pictured in the book. Pay a little more and get a true reference book.



2. This book was disappointing because it has an inadequate range and many famous perfumes are absent. It is frustating to read because the names of the perfumes are hidden in the text, not even in bold type and you have to hunt for them. No information about who designed the bottles in most cases.
