  1. Sorry to say, I was disappointed in this book. As a children's book the intent and content is okay. Sadly, only two of the cats pictured could even hope to place, (not win) in a cat show. There are so many beautiful Balinese cats, it's a shame they weren't represented in this book! You could find more information on Balinese cats in almost any book that covered cat breeds in general. By the title, I was hoping to find a book with lovely photos and in depth information on this beautiful breed of cat. This book does not in any way fulfill that need!

  2. Cat books are always in demand. Being from Alaska I recongnized the lynx, but it was not indntified, which could easily have been done on page 4. In the glossary a pronounciation of the words would have been very helpful. It is a book on animals that I would gladly reccommend for students from K-3, teachers, and parents.

  3. Although the explainations of the breed characteristics are fairly simple (written for a child), there are some beautiful photographs. A few look just like my little Balinese, Katalina! This book makes a good quick reference manual, although not for complicated matters. I disagree with the previous reviewer who stated that the pictures looked like cats with no pedigree. It is my professional opinion that all but 2 looked like perfect show quality. I am pleased with my purchase.
