1. I think this book has it all, it could use more color in the pictures but overall it will get the job done. Allows just about anyone learn about their car more in dept



2. Good book to get started working on your Neon, but does contain some minor errors. Since the company tore apart a 4 dr. Single Overhead Cam car, there is not much for the Double Overhead Cam engine other than drawings. Could be better, but contains good basic information.



3. Much more informative than Chilton. This book company obviously took the car apart and did research. Very clear illustrations and explanations of how things work and function.

5. Look at the reviews of chiltons. notice there are two bad reviews one day before there are two good reviews for Haynes. I would ignore these four reviews when making your decision.

1. BUILD BOOK: From Concept to Reality, is an amazing book. Most of the photos were taken by Scott Killeen, whose used to shoot for Super Rod, Hot Rod, Motor Trend, and Street Rodder magazines. The book covers Troy Trepanier's build up of a 1970 Cuda that belongs to Joe Rogan from Fear Factor.
   
   
   BUILD BOOK features over 800 color photos in 180 pages along with tips and tricks that Troy used to build the car. Even if you're not a Mopar guy, the book is good for reference for any build. I liked the quick read setup, and the photos are really detailed. I saw the Cuda at a car show this year, and it was awesome! It was also on the Rides television program. I saw Scott at a car show, and he said there's another BUILD BOOK due in December on a car called Aeroliner that Posies is building. This is well worth the price; I can't wait till the next one is available.



2. This book is amazing! It's an expanded version of those bits and pieces you see in magazines about how someone built up a very special custom car.
   
   They basically took a stock Baraccuda and built it from the ground up into an extreme, 1:1 scale Hot Wheels Hot Rod! The 'Sick Fish' was first featured in a Discovery Channel show, and when the book came out I ordered it right away. It didn't disappoint me at all, in fact, it blew me away!
   
   The pictures are in full colour, and show you in detail, step-by-step how a master customizer (Rad Rides By Troy) puts a Hot Rod project car together. It's very inspirational, and many people who tune their own cars or would like to build something extra special can use as a reference and guide to inspired their own efforts.

2. The book lacks detail and is not user-friendly. The information for torque specifications is located in the beginning of the chapter rather than in the location of the repair being made. Having the information set up this way is very frustrating because you have to back track to get the information which is a waste of time. I also found a mistake in a wiring diagram for the ECU.



3. The book is laid out in a confusing manner in many ways, and it is difficult to be certain that the section you're looking at actually pertains to your vehicle year/engine. It has good information, but it will take you time to find it. Part of the problem is that it tries to cover too many years and vairations.

1. You can never judge a book by its cover and for this book, its just as well.
   I guess the limitations with ordering a book on-line, are that in many instances, you can't thumb through it first. ('search inside' was not available at time of purchase)
   Top Speed is not what I thought and although the text is fairly accurate and reasonably well written, unless you're a fact-worm, it's a bit heavy going with very few photos to capture the excitement of Stock Car racing. The photos that there are, are black and white and small! The book is small and on poor quality paper and on reflection I should have returned it.

1. This book not only tells the facts and details about the 46-59 Plymouths, it also has a lot of interesting bits about Plymouth. It has the story of Walter P Chrysler, facts about Plymouths in movies, even a story about a buried 57 Belvedere! A special section tells about the turbine powered Plymouths. There is a table with vin numbers, body numbers, production figures and engine numbers. Lots of great pictures top off the book, although they are all black and white.



2. There's nothing like a great book about great cars put together by a guy who owns them and knows them inside and out. That's Jim Benjaminson, who is also founder of the Plymouth Owners Club and publisher/editor of The Plymouth Bulletin.
   
   As owner of a 1955 Plymouth Savoy myself, I have found this book to be relentlessly helpful as a visual resource as I restored the car. The book approaches these cars from a mostly historical perspective, with great stories about how and why Plymouth and the automotive industry evolved the way ity did, and wonderful photos of the cars in excellent condition.
   
   The result is a beautiful book that will tell you EVERYTHING you want to know about 1946-1959 Plymouths, and will also show you most of it. This should not be confused with a technical guide for rebuilding your classic -- it isn't -- but for visual and inspirational purposes, you won't find another book as good for this small grouping of classic cars.

1. If you aren't doing anything too complex this will be fine, but don't fool yourself into thinking this will make you into a mechanic.
