1. i bought this book for info on the 70-80's sl cars and to learn about differences and see alot of pictures. i am returning it for it had little to none of what i needed. this is a book for the 230,250 & 280 lover. also good foundation info and the beginnings of the sl's. NO COLOR PHOTO"S. jb

1. I bought this book to learn more about the vintage Mercedes cars that are out there, as I am considering the purchase of one. Not only is the writing boring and the pictures blurry and faded, the author has also decided to skip some of the most important models manufactured by Mercedes over the years. Where is the w123, for example?
   
   After the beautiful Vespa book I bought, this volume just doesn't do it for me. Save your money and buy a Mercedes book with great reviews.



2. The book arrived in poor condition. The cover had a tear in it and it appeared to have been thoroughly thumbed through. I returned the book for a refund.

1. This book was published for Mercedes-Benz, so that should be enough to warn you that the recipes here are going to be pretty high-end. It starts off with a nice introduction about picnicking, logistics, menus, and neccesities. An example of some the recipes: squid salad, garlicky white bean puree with broccoli di rape, Greek Islands sea bass, and caponata on bruschetta. There are a few down-to-earth simple recipes, but for the most part, these are for fancy picnics. Some nice photographs, and good readable text.
