1. Nice book overall. Has lots of pictures of assemblies to make it easier to disassemble and reassemble the parts.
   Nice set of specifications for the little tiddler bikes.



2. Got this for a 1971 Honda CT70. Clymer does a fairly decent job of covering so many different model years/models in a single book.
   This broad coverage makes it sort of inconvenient to find the exact section that covers my bike, but this is probably the reason it is still in publication.
   
   I've only used it to help fix a shifting problem and change the oil so far. The troubleshooting gave pointed to the geneneral areas to look, but it was some phone advice from an avid collector and self discovery that fixed the problem.
   
   It seems to cover 4 or 5 different "Types" of clutch designs but does not list my bike as one of the types making it slightly confusing, but the other models were similar enough to be of help.
   
   Great deal if you own multiple models/years of bikes covered by this book.



3. This is one of the essential reference books if you are working on Honda 50 or 70s. It will pay for itself in a matter of minutes when working on an engine.

1. This manual is a must for anyone with a SOHC/4 Honda from the 70's. It is full of useful information on repairs and maintenance procedures. Great pictures and step-by-step instructions on everything from adjustments to washers. It's the Haynes manual for the motorcycle world, very informative and nesessary when working on an older four cylinder bike.



2. This is a must have book if you own a Honda CB550. I have a 77 CB550F and it does the job to help you out with repairs. You will find that this is not the holy bible for motorcycle maitenence.

1. Unless you're looking for nothing more than chassis dyno numbers for different (simple) bolt-ons, this book isn't for you. It contains little if any technical information regarding building these engines, so if you're interested in modifying K series engines, this book's a complete waste of money.

2. The strength of this book is its rather heavy testing of off the shelf, bolt-on modifications. In doing so, it gives people considering an engine upgrade a good initial direction.
   
   I also like that the author stresses the obvious but often ignored point that in order to modify any engine effectively and safely requires tuning. (Who knows how much money and how many hearts this book will save.)
   
   This is not a how-to-design-a-proprietary-600hp-bolt-on-kit book; nor is it advertised as such. But if you want your K to sing really well, you don't have the cash, time, expertise or interest in mastering the relevant engineering and black arts, and are not interested in spending a good part of your productive time reinventing what others have already brought to market, this is an excellent starter.

3. this was the closest manual I could find for my '96 Isuzu oasis-unfortunately it did not address the reasons I ordered it-repair of cruise control-defroster & heating controls - I'm always amazed by some of these DIY manuals that go into rebuilding an engine but overlook many simple maintanace items-I would go to the OEM service manual for anything complicated-I just needed a clarification on some issues so as not to have to pay someone else for diagnostics. it's an OK reference for tune-up specs & wiring diagrams-would have liked better coverage of diagnostic codes.



4. As always, the Chilton's manuals are pretty comprehensive and easy to follow. However, Honda changed the style of the Odyssey from a four-door to a minivan in 2000. This manual doesn't cover the 2000 minivan in spite of what the title says.



5. This manual covers too broad a vehicle spectrum and lacks detail necessary to do a serious repair with confidence. Diagrams are spotty in their coverage and references to obscure tools like "noid lights" are not explained.

1. I have the service manual, and that's great. But how do I put on my "quick shot?" This has all the performance stuff.
   Up to date (no old, lame photos...very nice pictures)
   Well laid out.
   Good info on what products do, why get them, what the advantages are.
   I also like that it rates the difficulty of the project...like 3 stars hard or one star easy. That way I know what I'm getting into before I take my bike apart.
   Great book. Really great.



2. This is a great book. I will admit, I use it more for the detailed color photos than using it to make modifications to my bike. A lot of good info and procedures. It's great to find a book published specifically for the Honda CRF's. Go out and get a copy today!

1. Haynes repair manuals are great! They are always detailed and have tons of pictures so you know what they are talking about!



2. This book is well-structured by system (e.g., fuel and exhaust, engine electrical) and features thousands of actual black and white photos from the cars as well as thousands of diagrams. I found the book invaluable when I owned a 1991 Honda Civic CRX; a must-have for Civic owners.



3. this is a very helpful book. lives up to its promise of taking apart the honda civic completely. gives you the confidence and assurance of dealing with the problems of your high mileage honda civic. the book is very well organied too and supported by a very helpful collection of photographs.



4. You can't go wrong getting this manual as a reference whether you intend to do work on your car yourself or just want to know where and what stuff is. I have performed many maintenance tasks on my '89 Civic Wagon 4WD with assistance from this manual such as: drive axle replacement, valve timing adjustment, front and rear brake overhaul, master cylinder replacement, muffler replacement and the list goes on. There are many supplemental topics covered as well regarding general auto maintenance. The weaknesses I found were it covers stuff no one in their right mind will do such as overhaul CV joints. Everyone just buys axles and does a core exchange leaving that to the pros. I needed more photos and better description of the axle removal as well - I searched on the internet and found an excellent photo guide someone did for that. I also supplemented this with the official Honda manual which was supplied with the car but that guide is obtuse and does not have photos, only drawings where the Haynes is down and dirty with real life tear down photos. I highly recommend this if you are actually doing work - even if not, you can use it to learn more about the repair jobs that might be needed so when you speak to mechanics you are better informed about what they will do - or what they say they are going to do.

1. Wiring diagrams are poorly done. They need total revamp, especially K3-K7. Also many photographs need better exposure/different film to give more clarity.

En este manual de motores Honda leo "all engines covered in this manual are a two-stroke design". Después de un error como este, uno queda un poco desconfiado con el resto de la información...
