3 comments about Chrysler 300 Series: Pedigree,Power and Performance Since 1955.
- Having always admired the mighty HEMI motor and now awaiting delivery of a new 300C SRT-8 it was a terrific book to read in depth from the origins of the 300 series to the current model 300C with plenty of specifications, performance details and options available at the time. I did not realise how few were actually built and to continue as long as they did simply would not happen today.Plenty of photoes both period and current made a very enjoyable book for any car enthusiast and not just the Hemi Heads of this world!! Roll on Chrysler!!
- This is a very detailed book, but the title is a little misleading, as the author includes only the 300 "letter series" automobiles, totally ignoring any 300 models from 1966 through 1997. Perhaps Mr. Ackerson should have titled the book "Chrysler 300 Letter Series" to make this distinction.
- This was purchased as a gift for another person because they had a car like this one.

2 comments about Chrysler Full-Size Models, 1988-1993 (Haynes Manuals).
- This is a good book that incorporates techniques suitable for the home mechanic that don't have access to expensive factory speciality tools. A bit lacking of in-depth detail, but better written than say a Chiltons.
- Shop manuals published by the car manufacturer are the most in-depth, but this manual costs far less and is perfectly fine for most car owners. It includes general maintenance information, as well as instructions for more complex operations such as engine/transmission replacement and brake/suspension/electrical/AC repairs. The models covered in this manual ranged from basic models (Dynasty)to fully equipped luxury models (Imperial). If an owner wanted to exchange seats, radios, or dashboards from one of the more upscale models covered in this manual, it would explain how to do so. I own a 1991 Dodge Dynasty (3.0L V6) that I am planning on making some modifications to, and this will be a very helpful tool. It's better written than the equivalent manual from Chilton.

1 comments about Chrysler 300: America's Original Musclecar (Car & Motorcycle Marque/Model).
- Speed, beauty, and poise on the road! That's what the Chrysler 300 meant to many people. Robert C. Ackerson has written a wonderful history of this beautiful brute. He has combed the files of many folks to create a comprehensive and accurate history of the 300. From its birth to its end,the author kept me involved and feeling like I was behind the wheel. Quite a feat with only pictures and print. This is perhaps the ultimate 300 book with a wealth of photos and detail. The only thing I would have added were some more contempory road tests. If you enjoy cars with class and power, add this book to your collection while it is still available. It deserves all 5 Stars!

2 comments about Chrysler LH-Series: Covers all Chrysler LHS Concorde, 300m and Dodge Intrepid Models (Chilton's Total Car Care Repair Manual).
- Not quite as good as a Chrysler Shop manual. But does the job well..
- I found this book good, up to a point. I suppose the limitations are by design. There are more complete manuals available, but they are much thicker and much more expensive. The best way I can illustrate the book's limits is with an example. I wanted to investigate a broken outer door handle. The book gave me all the detail I needed to remove panels, links, etc. in the right order to get to the handle. But it did not have any information on how a properly working handle's connections should look nor what could be fixed vs. replaced. Also, it would be very simple to add information about bolt sizes to the text. It would be nice to know in advance, before tearing into a car, whether you have the right size tools for the job. Still, the illustrations are pretty good and the general flow of how to perform tasks is accurate and complete, as far as it goes.
