2 comments about Pinstriping Masters 2.
- I'm into pinstriping, and I wanna get tips, infos, and ideas from the best. Got the Pinstriping Masters 1, and I was happy to see the released of a second opus.
Not deception at all, great book, great pictures, good explanations, go ahead, will be a great buy for yourself or as a present for anybody who's into pinstriping.
My only "negative" note..?? the book is too shoooooooooort...
:o))))..
Keep it wet.
- I love my new book. It has some great stuff. Not so much for beginners like I'd hoped but still a good addition to the learning library. :)

5 comments about Forced Induction Performance Tuning A Practical Guide to Supercharging and Turbocharging.
- The book has a lot of information that is simple to use. it also has some more advanced sections that can help for bigger projects. I really liked how there was tips on how to do things that will save you time and money in your way to boosting your project. The book also does a good job in explaining how turbos and super chargers work and what to consider wen choosing a set up.
- I think this book is great. It is easy to understand and there are examples on how they did in the F1 turbo era and many sport and rallycars.
I have read more books by A Graham Bell and all of them are great. He writes about the tecnical aspects of how and why and what effects it will give. He gives a good understanding of all aspects of forced induction.
There are examples of how you can enhance your car if you want.
If you want a book that describes how forced induction works and go a little deeper then "more boost is better" this is the book for you.
- There are no pretty pictures in this book. Eye candy is not on the menu. This book is a step by step guide to turbocharging just as the cover says. The information here is honest and straight forward if a little dry. I am not giving it 5 stars because I like Eye candy to inspire me. This will probably be the book I use the most on this topic.
- i'm not going to write a long review. all i'm going to say is that i was a noob before i read this, and this book made me a very informed noob. i can carry good convos with people that have been tuning for 20 years, because i know what they are talking about. i wish the book talked about direct injection, because that is what i have on my mazdaspeed3, but oh well. if you are even considering buying a book about FI tuning, you should get this. the book talks A LOT about what it takes to make a good running FI car. ex.\ good design of headers. i wish it talked a little more about tuning, but if you read the book carefully, the tuning is scattered all throughout the book. it is a really good read, i put it in the bathroom and read it twice over 3 weeks. needless to say i have a sore a**, because i couldn't put the book down. BUY THIS NOW.
- Excellent introduction to the physics involved in forced induction from the basics of an internal combustion motor through advanced forced induction principles. A street car enthusiasts must have. a $50 book will save hobbiest thousands in useless and/or damaged parts. JRJ

4 comments about Ford Explorer: Haynes Repair Manual 1991-2001.
- Thought I was purchasing the same book I checked out of the library. Was disappointed that their were no diagrams in the book. otherwise a good reference manual.
- Haynes Repair Manual's are the only books you'll ever need for your vehicle, and this one is just as useful. I couldn't live without this book. Even though I hardly ever needed it, it was a god send when I did. Stuck on the side of the road with no idea why? This is the book that might just help you out...
- Hopefully this manual will help my son do minor repairs on his new Explorer.
- I was very, very disappointed with this manual. I bought it to change out my fule injectors. Information is way too technical for beginners or intermediates. Too many sections assume you have a working knowledge already. Pass this one over for the Chilton's version which has step by step instructions with pictures.

5 comments about All Corvettes Are Red.
- Most of the content is fairly dry reading. Contains some interesting facts.
- The Chevy Corvette is one of America's most innovative cars, serving as our country's first sports car that boasted four-wheel disc brakes, independent suspension and V-8 injected power.
Because the Corvette has always been an engineering marvel, it would have been very easy for author James Schefter to get caught up in the technical details of the rebirth of the Corvette in 1997 - but, he doesn't. Although he shares detailed and significant information about the car, his words also allow readers to feel the sheer excitement of the Vette's innovative new rise to glory.
Schefter also clearly defines car jargon for readers who aren't auto body shop experts, thereby creating a broad audience for his book.
He doesn't shy away from sharing the many challenges that designers, production staff and engineers faced when recreating a car legend - and yet, the overwhelming feeling in this book is one of success and triumph.
- All Corvettes Are Red (the story of the C5-generation Corvette's development) is undoubtedly the best "biography" of any Corvette generation, from C1 - C6. Author James Schefter's descriptive retelling of corporate politics and personality conflicts, all through the car's development, reveal many problems within GM's culture that exist even today. A must read for all C5 Corvette owners, past, present & future.
- If you want to know why GM had trouble building great cars in the 1990's you only have to read this book. This is the story of the workers at Chevy going out on a limb to build the best car possible, and how the GM system got in their way.
- One perspective many "vette" people should read. Makes me wanna re-do my career choice (I should have been an auto engineer). Read it, and you'll understand the many facets involved in auto design and fabricating along with personal "differences". Just read it and you'll know what I mean.

5 comments about Living Aboard Your RV.
- As a family contemplating full-time RVing, this was a great first RVing book. It covers everything from what to do with your possessions, equipping your RV, traveling with pets, mini-hobbies, maintaining your RV and so much more! It was an easy read packed full of great advice. You will need a highlighter to keep track of important information. This book will definately go with us on our journey.

- I bought several books on full-timing in an RV - and this was the least helpful. While they touch on many topics, none are explored in depth - I learned nothing new from this book. In fact, I felt they kept telling me things that are simply commom sense. For example, in their section about waste water, they don't tell you how to deal w/ frozen waste lines - but they do advise you not flush disposable diapers!
This book was a disappointment - and will be returned.
- 90% of what's in this book can be obtained from any of the various first timer websites.
If you never owned a vehicle, went camping (of any form), made or lived on a budget, had to figure out how to get health care while on vacation, cleaned out your closets or bathroom, then you may find this book of use.
So much of the material in this book is very common sense stuff. Out of the 189 pages I did find six sentences that were informative. Unfortunately none of the comments went into details. I had to look elsewhere for details on the comments.
I'd suggest one of the inexpensive used copies if you feel you really need this book.
- Some new viewpoints and useful information. Doing the laundry in a trash can enroute? You betcha! Hints for freebie overnights and how to deal with medical issues. I found this book very informative, and it covers many aspects of RV travel.

3 comments about Formula 1 Technical Analysis 2006-07 (Formula 1 Technical Analysis).
- Very well illustrated book.
The book shows the different car body configurations for many of the different races which was outstanding. The level of detail was unbelievably detailed.
I was hoping it would go a little deeper into the technical side (i.e. the 'WHY' a team put this item or that...rather than just for aerodynamic reasons).
But it went into the major changes, rules behind them and effect it had on the races.
Highly recommend this book for F1 fans.
- I've been reading these books since the late 90's and I don't get bored. Giorgio Piola does an amazing job following the aero trends from race to race. I like how he even includes many of the reasons for developments, even if they are reverse-engineered. I couldn't give it 5 stars though because I was expecting it to have descriptions of more mechanical developments. Excellent book though, really gives an inside look at the technical developments
- This is a great source of information on the construction and design of modern Formula One cars. Highly recommended.

1 comments about Triumph 650 and 750 2-Valve Twins Owners Workshop Manual, No. 122: '63-'83 (Owners Workshop Manual).
- I have in the past read and made use of many of the Haynes manuals for a variety of motorcycles, both domestic and foreign, and, without much doubt ,this is one of the best ones. It reaches to over two hundred pages in length and unusualy for them has no serious omisions or errors and manages to cover all aspects of the unit heavyweight Triumph twins practically and comprehensivley for the home maintenance enthusiast. This being one of the manuals which has been regularly updated over the years the coverage of the late Harris models and the advice on parts availability is far more usable than other titles they have put out in the past, it even manages to be a good read if you are less practically interested. Perhaps the standard here is higher because of the competition in the market but it still manages to be a highly reccomended buy - well I bought one so it must be your turn next - what are you waiting for?
