5 comments about Ford Y Block.
- For those who collect cars or are just fans of the 1950s cars this is a great book with a wealth of information. Detailed about the Ford Y Block engine that Ford produced for passenger cars 1954-1958 and trucks through 1964. Good pictures and plenty of how-to illustrations.
- This book is a great resource that provides a terrific history and can help identify the various Y-block versions and years and provides some help with interchangeability of parts. It would have been nice to have more detail, but the book is very well worth the price. I haven't tried following the step by step rebuilding instructions yet, but it appears to be very well written and thorough.
- For $12.69 I got my monies worth, but the pictures are terrible. A couple are almost entirely BLACK. Certainly this can't be a first run printing.
- I was very excited to see this book was finally reprinted. When it arrived my excitement turned to disappointment. The photos and illustrations are terrible. It looks like it was copied by a child on a cheap copy machine. At around $13 dollars, I guess that's about the best quality you can expect.
- this entire book looks like a photocopy. The pictures are so black you can't even make some of them out, let alone see any detail. I have several other books published by MBI, and they are all first class. I can't believe they would release something of such poor quality. If it wasn't for the good history brief of where this engine design fits into the chronology of Ford V8 engine development, and the high quality technical information (I think it is the only book around on the Y-block) contained in this book, I would have given it only one star.

5 comments about Los Cuatro Acuerdos.
- Primer acuerdo: "Sé impecable con tus palabras".
Segundo: "No te tomes nada personalmente".
Tercero: "No hagas suposiciones".
Segundo: "No te tomes nada personalmente". Tercero: "No hagas suposiciones".
- Every human being should read this book. It not only takes us on a journey to understand how we feel but also helps you in understanding, accepting and appreciating others. Written in a simple language that makes it very easy to comprehend and absorb. Don Miguel Ruiz has a way with words that captivate you. Once you start reading, you cannot stop. This book was recommended to me by a friend, and the timing was perfect!
- This is one of dozens of self-help books that advocate changing your thoughts can change your life. Ruiz' gimmick is that these "agreements" came from ancient Toltec wisdom. I bought it for a self-help type class I was taking. The English version looked so easy I decided to make myself read it in Spanish. It turned out to be the easiest Spanish book I ever read. It was also very redundant. I enjoyed reading it and practicing my Spanish, but I think the four agreements could be summed up in about four to eight pages.
- No le doy cinco estrellas por que en ocasiones me pareció un poco lento ... aunque definitivamente vale la pena escucharlo.
- Its impossible to make a reviesw on an item that I never received...aaah!! you never gave me a credit for it

1 comments about MG T Series Restoration Guide (Brooklands Books).
- I thought that this is a good all round book for someone interested in purchasing and fixing up a T series MG. It's seems more down to earth than "TC's Forever", ( the $200 Bible if you want a prize winning restoration of a TC) and its seems to be written with a more "American" point of view than some other books.
I appreciated the drawing of the firewall with an explanation of the routing of the wires, etc.
I don't think that you will ever regret buying this book.

3 comments about Clymer Honda 50-110Cc Ohc Singles, 1965-1999.
- Nice book overall. Has lots of pictures of assemblies to make it easier to disassemble and reassemble the parts.
Nice set of specifications for the little tiddler bikes.
- Got this for a 1971 Honda CT70. Clymer does a fairly decent job of covering so many different model years/models in a single book.
This broad coverage makes it sort of inconvenient to find the exact section that covers my bike, but this is probably the reason it is still in publication.
I've only used it to help fix a shifting problem and change the oil so far. The troubleshooting gave pointed to the geneneral areas to look, but it was some phone advice from an avid collector and self discovery that fixed the problem.
It seems to cover 4 or 5 different "Types" of clutch designs but does not list my bike as one of the types making it slightly confusing, but the other models were similar enough to be of help.
Great deal if you own multiple models/years of bikes covered by this book.
- This is one of the essential reference books if you are working on Honda 50 or 70s. It will pay for itself in a matter of minutes when working on an engine.

5 comments about Ford: Mustang 1989-93 (Chilton's Total Car Care Repair Manual).
- I need all information that could be possible about ford mustang 1983 because Ihave an car of it and is damaged in this moment
- I found this maunal incomplete, and inaccurate. The wireing diagrams have many errors. Though I have found it useful at times.
- I bought a copy of this manual years ago when I had my 1990 Mustang.
I referenced it for almost every big repair that I was unfamiliar with on the car, and found it to be very helpful. Even after I sold the Mustang, I continue to reference this manual for repairs on my 1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, which is based off the same chassis as the Mustang and is overall very similar.
I even referenced this book for bearing clearances and torque specs when I rebuilt the engine for my Turbo Coupe.
Overall, very good reference book and I have been very happy with it.
- The index is poor at best. The pictures are poor at best. There is some useful info but alot is not very descriptive or flat out inaccurate. I'm going to check out the Hayne's manual to see if it's any better.
- This book is OK for general tune up. But if you are going to pull apart the rear to change the clutch pack get another book. The rear shown does not even have the traction lok.

1 comments about The Dodge Brothers: The Men, The Motor Cars, And The Legacy (Great Lakes Books).
- This book is truly a must-read gem. It is the first academic book about the Dodge Brothers. Though it has many in-depth footnotes the book is absolutely readable and tells a nice story all in around 200 pages. It is perfect for the professor of history or the person just curious about Detroit or automotive history. The book is also full of great photos: images showing the brothers, their families, the cars and the plants where they were built.
I, who know a lot about the Dodge Brothers and the Dodge Families, was surprised at what I did not know and what I learned from this book. Mr. Hyde puts to rest many rumors and brings to light much new information which is important to the history of car manufacturing in Detroit. Most importantly he shows how the Dodge Brothers supplied Ford with engines and all the mechanical parts for his first `Ford' cars. Without the Dodges there would probably have never been a successful Ford. Then the Brothers turned to making their own car. Built with honesty and care the firm's cars became known as a solid and dependable. They were true innovators. When they both died in 1920 the company was on top of the world. A few years later the widow's of the Brothers sold the company for $146 million. And again a few years later it was sold again to Walter Chrysler, and is still today an important part of DaimlerChrysler
The Dodge Brothers were an amazing team and built an amazing company from sheer hard work and honesty, the true American Dream! It is surprising that it took so long for someone to write about them.
Key words: John Dodge, Horace Dodge, Anna Thomson Dodge, Matilda Dodge, Meadow Brook Hall, Rose Terrace, Hamtramck, Chrysler, Detroit, automotive, cars

4 comments about Packard (Motorbooks Classic).
- Coverage limited primarily to certain "clasic" senior models, ignoring the vast majority of both pre- and post-war models. Beautiful photographs make the book one for the coffee table.
- Unfortunately I don't own a Packard, but my grandfather did. This is an excellent book. Classic Motorbooks always do a fine job with writing books that appeal to the casual reader, if not the die-hard expert. They also lavish each book with beautiful photos. This book is no different. All the eras are covered, from the first Packards up to the last Packardbakers (after Packard and Studebaker merged) in the 1950s. Packard was THE American luxury car of the 20s and 30s. In an attempt to up sales, Packard made the big mistake that put them on the slippery slope downhill- by producing lower priced cars (their 110 and 120 series) that visually looked no different from their more expensive customs (unlike GM, where a Chevy didn't look like a Caddy). The end came when Jim Nance became head of Packard, and mismanaged it into dissolution. This is the only Packard book that I have read that actually speaks kindly of Nance, who engineered the merger with Studebaker, stopped supplying parts that keep thousands of old Packards running, and gambled on unproven technology that was rushed into production.
Before the end, Packard created some very beautiful and reliable automobiles. They are often refered to as works of art. Check out a Classic Car show with a Packard or two and you will see what I mean.
This is a fine addition to anyone's Classic Car Library. Just ask me, a man who owns a copy of this book!
- I found the book quite informative and interesting, prior to reading this book I had little knowledge about the "rise and fall of Packard". The book gives a good background and overview of the founding years of Packard as well as the glory years in the 20's and 30's, finally detailing their decline after WWll. The book is a good mix of old B&W archived photos and full color restorations. The writing is concise and well done the writer has done an excellent job researching the market conditions of the period and Packard's response as well as the key players in the drivers seat. Would recommend this book for anyone looking for a good detailed overview as well nice photography.
- This work of art had great photos and informative text. Not so much a business or social commentary as a testament to the grand art of auto design and manufacture. One wonders what the future holds for Lincoln, Cadillac and Jaguar when an entire generation loves and admires Asian vehicles even when J. D. Powers or others present evidence to the contrary.

2 comments about Ford Taurus & Mercury Sable 1996 thru 2005 (Hayne's Automotive Repair Manual).
- The book may be useful for older models, however I would not recommend purchasing this book if you have an 05 with DOHC engine. The book barely covers it and has very few photos of that engine in the car. I purchased this book trying to get a good description of plug replacement in my 05 Sable DOHC. The dealer wants nearly $300 to change the plugs. The intake plenum has to be removed to even get to the back three. This book doesn't even talk about the configuration my engine has with individual coil packs and there are NO photos at all of my engine in that section. This is the 1st automotive book I have bought in many years and if this is indicative of what has become of Hayne's manuals, I won't be purchasing any more.
- This book is the same as the previous edition with only the title on the cover being different. In other words, it doesn't cover anything for models in years 2000-2005. Worse, the book mainly covers the 12 valve engine, even though most Tauruses and Sables are equip with the 24 valve Duratec engine. The only useful info in the book are the specs given such as torque and capacity. Otherwise, it's pretty useless.
