- The manual should apply to the specific year and model, not multiple years with interlaced pictures of each. Needs a larger more complete schematic. I experienced an electrical problem, but could not track it down with current schematic.

1 comments about Coltrane in a Cadillac.
- Only in America could you find the characters Robbie writes about. Having seen the original series/doco, I wanted to see if the book was as good.
Definately, Robbie's quirky, nothings better than Glascow on as Saturday night, humour comes through. Takes a while to get going but Robbie's dry humour makes you giggle like a demented schoolgirl.
Even getting pulled over by a traffic cop becomes a humourous experience, something that I have never experienced.
Good laugh, written by an expert comedian and car buff.

3 comments about The Cadillac Century.
- As a Cadillac ethusiast, I was excited when I heard there would be a new book on Cadillacs (with pictures)! Many of the other Cadillac books tend to be rather dry recitals of engine statistics. "The Cadillac Century" places its emphasis on the importance of the vehicles in relation to America's love with its automobiles. However, its more attractive prose and colorful pictures do pay a price in accuracy. For more accuracy, you may wish to consult "Standard Catalog of Cadillac 1903-1990" published by Krause Publications, Inc. I am able to distinguish many recent (1985-present) Cadillacs by sight, and the captions to almost all of the pictures during this time period contain errors (which tends to add doubt to the accuracy of other aspects of the book). Attention to this detail would go a long way to making this book the Cadillac of Cadillac books. That being said, few other books contain so many beautiful color pictures of the greatest car of the 20th century. At only $, it belongs in every Cadillac enthusiasts library (and on their coffee tables).
- If you are like me and have a long standing love affair with the world's best and most beautiful car, the Cadillac, then this is a must-have book for you. The text is full and rich without being a recitation of statistics and the pictures of the different models over the years are superb.
I don't know how anyone can look at this book and not agree that these are the most beautiful cars ever made. From the LaSalle of old, to the Fleetwood Sixty Special of the '50's to the Brougham d'Elegance of the 80's and 90's, it's all here! No way can you be disappointed with this one.
- This book was written after the Cadillac LaSalle Clubs Grand National in 1997. Many of the pictures were taken at that event. Unfortunatly, it appears that the author spent a couple of days taking photos and doing mediocre research at best. Many photos are inaccurately described. It would seem that this book was published to make a quick dollar as opposed to providing an accurate history of the Cadillac automobile. As a member of the Cadillac-LaSalle Club, I consider it a joke.

2 comments about Michael Anderson's Little Black Book of Songwriting.
- A very straightforward to the point type of reading. This book has become one of my favorite reference books. Michael is my kind of author full of common sence and humor. You will not put this one down once you start reading it. Thanks Michael for a great read and valuable imformation. Bill Wren
- Michael Anderson's book is quite simply, a dupe. Everything he says can be put into a couple of 3x5 cards. Don't waste your time. He merely goes through an outline of the definitions of song parts and has absolutely no advice on how to write songs or any kinds of pointers for improving your lyrical or melodic abilities. You won't be a better song writer after this book. In fact, some of the things he says are completely opposite from what I've seen in the real world with good and/or hit songs. Don't waste your time.
So he wrote one hit song that was a country hit. Big deal. Here is the fact about country music: Wordsmiths generally don't live here. Want to hear some masterful songwriting? Try Mark Knopfler, Ian Anderson, Gordon Lightfoot or Bob Dylan just to name a few. Some of their best songs were not hits either.
After reading this book, I have the advice you need. Pick your favourite writers and emulate them. Over time, you'll start to develop your own thing. Play for others, write plenty. It's hard work and not always successful on every try. Keep trying and listen critically.

4 comments about Cadillacs of the sixties.
- I found the book to be comprehensive, very detailed, and incredibly researched. In addition to the wealth of data and photos, the author included much historical information about the cars... and the area they helped define. I particularly enjoyed Roy Schneider's introduction, forward, and captions. His expertise on the subjet is impressively demonstrated throughout this book--and previous others. The book is as enjoyable as riding in an Eldorado Biarritz convertible with an expert driver.
- Roy Schneider has created the best series of books about Cadillacs that I have encountered (40's, 50's & 60's). I own the 50's and 60's volumes and refer to them often. These are publications of the highest quality (binding, paper, photography and copy). This is as near to an insider's view of Cadillac as most of us would hope to get. Many of the photographs are from dealer data books and other internal sources, which are very expensive to aquire now. Mr. Schneider has brought much of this rare literature into a beautifully presented format. I hope that he is considering publishing a new volume for the Cadillacs of the Seventies.
- Roy Schneider has produced the most outstanding series of books about Cadillac (40's, 50's & 60's). The publication itself is of the highest quality (binding, paper, photographs and text - all first-rate). I own both this edition and the 50's book, and I refer to them often. Mr. Schneider has presented many rare photographs and text that are from many "internal" types of sources, such as salesman's data books, which are difficult for collectors to find and very expensive. I hope he will consider publishing a new volume in the future: Cadillacs of the Seventies!
- If you have the opportunity to buy this hard to find book, grab it!
As the title suggests, this book focuses on the details of Cadillac's beauties from 1960 to 1969. Each year is given a great amount of space as well as clear black and white photos (yes, no color here) of exteriors, interiors, close-ups, etc. The level of detail the author puts into each description is incredible. This book is ideal for Cadillac aficionados who love the 1960's era. I own a '60 Coupe and a '64 convertible, so naturally I loved the focus on this particular decade and I enjoyed reading about the subtle differences between years and across models. The original shop manuals or sales brochures simply do not provide this sort of information. Most Cadillac books focus on the 40's or 50's, so this one is a real gem if you love the 60's car lines as I do. If you are only a moderate Cadillac fan, I would suggest broader topic books that cover earlier years as well. Keep the faith.

1 comments about Cadillac Orpheus: A Novel.
- I am writing this review only because I had such high hopes for this book.I tried to give it a big chance, and while a bit entertaining at the beginning, the story is too disjointed and senseless. The author is more interested in throwing around big words than actually putting together coherent sentences. I just think he tried too hard. The book never got into any kind of a flow.
