  1. If you are on a budget to buy a camcorder then this is the one! I saw the new Panasoinic E- wear which was my first choice but it ... , it doesnt even have ZOOM! It does almost nothing only shoot pictures and download Mp3 . But the SHARP camcorder does alot of things and it is at a good price and it is a good size because i wouldn't buy a big bulky size camcorder !......WHO WANTS THAT!? This has a LCD screen and has picture in Picture and it has ZOOM which is the most important thing in taking pictures from far away or film something far away.

  2. This little gem has all the right stuff. Auto focus with great clarity, a small price tag and a great size for carrying. I can't wait to take it to Disney World!

  3. I contacted this seller 15 times via emails and phones and he/she never responded. I guess s/he is dead or something. The camera I recieved was totally different than the one I pictured. I would never ever buy from this person again in my life.
    thanks

  4. Works like a charm. Love it, take it everywhere and video are crisp and clear.

  5. As a first time buyer I was a little scepticle. I e-mailed once about the tracking of my package because I'd gotten it for my wife for her birthday. Within the next day I had gotten a response with tracking info and all! The package came in right on time for her birthday. Thanks for the great service! The sharp camera works Great!
    God Bless!!

  1. i searched all other places for the best price amazon beat it by at least 150 to 200 dollars and sharp aqueos is one of the best pictures i could find i just don`t buy whaterver i do research first and this hi def i great

  2. I just purchased this tv last week and although it wasn't 120HZ i just couldn't justify the extra couple hundred dollars just to get that one last feature.

Pretty easy to set up...well, my dad set it up LOL! We tinkered with the tint, contrast, brightness setting for about 5 minutes to get the look we wanted b/c those factory default settings are bunk. As soon as it was good to go we flipped to an HD channel and watched a football game with such mind blowing clarity I swear it was better than being at the game.

I love this tv, if I could I would marry it and have it's 19 inch portable babies. Ok, not really but you know what I'm saying. I just wish ALL my HD channels were 1080 b/c now that I have a great tv i can really tell the difference between 480, 720, and 1080.

The only downside is the picture quality is so good I don't like watching my old DVDs in 480 anymore and now I'm dying to buy a Blue-Ray so I can get the maximum impact of the sharpness and clarity.

  3. I am very happy with the 40" Aquos.

A great price, and when I compared the picture quality with the more expensive Sony, LG and Samsung alternatives, I could not tell the difference. I disagree with those who found issues with the picture and sound quality.

I also like the fact that it has so many connectivity options including old fashion Cable and antenna inputs which the aforementioned options cast aside.

I also saw negative comments about the time to power up. It is not instantaneous, about 10-15 seconds. But I've seen similar delays on other HDTV sets. I can live with it. What bothers me a bit is the delay in switching channels, a couple of seconds. This seems a bit slower than other HDTVs I've used.

One last thing. If you want to wall mount, be sure to find one that will accept 16"x16". The Cheetah APTMM2B worked fine for me, whereas the Sanus MT25 is far to small.

  4. I purchased this TV to replace a 42" LCD Philips TV that I have and really dislike. For one, I think Philips makes junk. The tv has horrible sound quality, the cabinet is unattractive, the HDMI engine sometimes is tempermental and needs to be unplugged to reset, and Philips customer service is among the worst. Needless to say, I was anxious to get rid of the Philips and go with the Sharp. Also, I wanted to upgrade from 720p and 1080i to a full 1080p.

Folks, this Sharp TV had HORRIBLE picture quality on the PS3 and XBOX. I tried numerous settings for the contrast, sharpness, brightness, et cetera. I experienced major eye strain attempting to play video games on the SHARP. As much as I hate the Philips, I'm going to have to continue to use it until I can find something I can afford to replace it. The Sharp TV is going to be returned.

This TV might be ok for television and movies, but I think you'll find it difficult to watch if you play video games much at all.

  5. After my Olevia 42inch LCD blew up, I figured any new LCD would be a dramatic improvement over a tv i bought over 2 years ago. I thought I didnt really have to research a Sharp TV as I trusted their Company. It is adequate for its price. I paid $540 dollars not including tax. But I have several problems with it. First, the blur. As people mentioned on the other reviews, movement (not just fast moving of the actors or scene but any movement of the camera panning to different characters) gives off blur for a couple of seconds. It is amazing the human can pick it up but it is. It is quite frequent.

Second, the viewing angle. If not sitting directly in front of the tv, the colors and picture are very muted and washed out. The best description is the look of a bootleg copy of a movie filmed with video-camera in the theatres. It looks extremely white at times and is very distracting.

Thirdly, the glare is bad. For whatever reason, reflections of items in the room show on the screen pretty distinctively. Not sure if this corrected by changing brightness.

The HD seems fine when the picture is not moving while not spectacular. Standard Definition looks pretty bad. I doubt its defective. I just think it is low end. My understanding is it uses 60hz which is the cause of the blur. What I don't get is why my olevia didn't suffer from any of these problems.

Honestly, I would seriously think of returning it and maybe getting a smaller yet better tv but it seems like crapshoot when you buy these low to mid range tvs. Even the reviews cant truly be trusted as personal preference, annoyance factor, and other things make it very subjective. I know I am in the minority here regarding the quality of the tv but I have had 3 big screen tvs and have friends who have others, and these problems I list are real. Wish they werent but they are.

  1. i placed this order like over a month ago and im still waiting for my order and so far i haven't been contacted by the seller or amazon to give me a reason for delay. i've sent emails and tried to call but no answers as of yet. this is the worst expeirence ever.

  2. I was thrilled to find this after-market drum for my copier. After spending a fortune buying the factory replacements, this was a thrill. It works perfectly and was about half the price of what I had been paying. It arrived quickly and the communications from the company were as promised.

  3. Saved a bundle buying the drum here. Went to Office Depot and found it would be cheaper to purchase a copy machine than a new drum. Wasteful to throw out a perfectly working copy machine. Relieved to find a reasonable priced drum.

  4. Product was received a few days later than the forecasting. However, the Sharp printer/copier drum cartridge is working fine. Thanks!

    Ed.

Sharp HTSB300 2.1 Sound Bar Audio System with Digital Decoding By Sharp. The regular list price is $299.99. Sells new for Too low to display. There are some available for $182.82.

  1. Inexpensive soundbar best suited for a medium size Aquos LCD TV. Crisp high's and solid mid range characteristics, seamless operation with Aquos TV. Sound is improved tremendously with the addition of a small subwoofer such as a Polk Audio PSW111 or similar using the subwoofer output on the bar which can be controlled using the included remote. Dimensions are thin and long and well suited to 32, 37 and 40" TV's (the bar is 31.5 inches long). Well suited for smaller rooms or apartments, however surround sound effects are subtle. This unit will not fool you into believing sound is coming from behind you, however it does create an immersive sound field that fills the listening area and is a dramatic improvement over built in TV speakers. Great for someone who is avoiding complex audio systems and seeking a minimalist, but satisfying audio experience. If you have no intention of adding a subwoofer, get the less expensive HT-SB200, the difference between the digital and analog inputs is insignificant.

  2. The HTSB300 is a big improvement over the speakers built into flat panel TVs. Don't mistake it for surround sound--it isn't. However, the improvement in sound quality is very noticeable, especially in the lower register. Even though we could have bought a low-end surround system for this price, we decided that the hassle of running wires, siting speakers and so on simply wasn't worth it. We watch TV and movies, not run a theater. There's also the benefit of the small size, which generally is making use of what would normally be wasted space in front of the TV.

Three notes. We've found that keeping the built-in TV speakers at a low level seems to improve the overall quality of sound. We found that the included "spikes", meant to elevate the unit so it can sit over the pedestal of the TV, doesn't work so well (as least with our Sharp Aquos). It raises the unit to the point where it interferes with the TV's remote receiver. And you get yet another remote to keep up with. (Our cable "universal" remote doesn't know what to make of this unit.)

  3. I bought this soundbar mainly because it was simple to set up and get started. There was one cable to hook up and we had sound. I did not want the hassle of hooking up an extra subwoofer, placing a bunch of speakers around the room, etc. This was a plug and play. So simple that we had sound literally 5 minutes out of the box. The drawback obviously is that you will not get the sound that comes out of a home theater set up that can cost thousands. The speakers on our TV point downward so the sound is muffled. I wanted speakers that pointed outwards towards the TV viewer. The soundbar is small, compact, and stylish. I hate setting up AV stuff for the HDTV because I always seem to get wires or cables crossed. You literally cannot mess this up. This is a simple solution to crappy flat screen TV speakers. The soundbar has 4 audio modes: standard, cinema, sports, and news. Very happy with the sound but don't expect to be blown away - you need the whole home theater set up for that. The only reason that it doesn't get 5 stars is because I don't think any stand alone soundbar can reproduce the sound of a home theater system.

  1. We had the Sharp Aquos LC42D85U and it is a beautiful set. One warning however: after working with Sharp for 2 months to get the D85U running right we found that the advanced signal processing electronics can easily result in lip synch problems if you are getting your signal from an over the air antenna. Sharp wasn't able to fix this problem with software updates but did replace this set with a new LC40E77UN that shows no lip synch problems. If you have cable the D85U will make you happy, otherwise look at the E77UN; it is the set for you.

  2. Great "current day" price for a great tv! Not very tech savy but from what I've seen so far it is awesome! I probably wouldn't use a 40" tv as a computer monitor, but hey... to each their own. No dead spots on the tv, blur from fast motion games not an issue, and big difference from my samsung 52" plasma 720p as far as quality! Watched the Dark Knight movie on blu-ray and some of the Special FX looked kinda fake... Step it movie guys the tv's are winning! Very happy so far with tv and will update as I get more time with the tv.

  3. Picture: The wife likes it. 'nuff said.
Setup: The channel scan is really sloooow. No big deal, but be prepared to go have lunch while the scan works.
Mounting: Oops! Guess I didn't do my homework. This TV was intended for the bedroom, on a wall mount, in a corner so it would have to be both tilted and swiveled. No can do. The wall mount points on the back of the TV are spread WAY out, and will NOT accept a "universal" mount. The only wall mount it will accept is their own Sharp mount, and it only tilts, and does not swivel. So I had to return the mount I ordered at the same time, and install a shelf on the wall that I could set the TV on (it does have a good swivel base included). Also note that this TV will probably not fit onto those TV stands that have an integrated mount on a pillar. Before you purchase such a stand be sure to have the TV at home first, take good measurements, and shop for a stand with tape measure in hand. Otherwise you'll get the furniture home, and find out it's useless.
    Just so ya know.

  4. I actually own the sister version of this product (the Sharp LC-52E77U), but the information in this review is equally applicable to this TV since they use the same, albeit smaller, panel.

Since I have owned this TV for a few months now, I thought it would be helpful to share a few tips and tricks I have learned:

    PROBLEM: INCOMPATIBLE AUDIO SIGNAL

All my A/V devices (360, PS3, Wii, Samsung DTB-H260F) were connected to my Onkyo TX-SR607 receiver with HDMI, which was set to output to my Sharp Aquos LC-52E77U. And, although the receiver was set to "Audio TV Out" off (and even with it on), the TV kept popping up this error:

"Incompatible audio signal has been received, please check the output signal."

It only pops up for a few seconds, and only when I would switch devices or resolution or whatever. Still, pretty annoying. Connecting the devices directly to the TV via HDMI caused the same error - the only time it didn't happen is when there was 2ch 44.1/48Khz PCM involved.

Unfortunately, unlike every other TV I have ever owned, the Sharp doesn't have a menu option to disable audio. Muting didn't help, either.

The solution? Set the audio volume to 0. No more error!

PROBLEM: NO DEVICE DETECTED (DVI -> HDMI)

When I first got this TV, I plugged in my Mac Mini, using a DVI -> HDMI cable. After using it for a bit, the TV would stop recognizing that the Mac Mini was connected. It turns out that, whenever the Mac Mini would be rebooted or would go to sleep, the Sharp would refuse to recognize that it was connected anymore.

The solution? Physically unplugging and plugging in the TV (not just pressing the power button), and disabling sleep on the Mac. I still have to do this unplugging dance occasionally - like for system updates - but not as often as when sleep was enabled. I guess that's the price you pay for a beautiful 1080p HDMI signal, as opposed to a letterboxed 1600x1200 VGA signal - the max this TV supports.

    CALIBRATION SETTINGS

This TV has some definite problems with blues in areas of high contrast. Here are the best settings I have found, in order of their appearance in the menus:

    OPC: Off
Backlight: +6 (you can adjust up or down a smidge if need be)
    Contrast: +36
    Brightness: -6
    Color: +1
    Tint: +1
    Sharpness: -1

    CMS Hue/Saturation/Value: 0
Color Temp.: Low (leave at Mid for color managed devices like Macs, or OTA TV)
    R Gain: +11
    G Gain: 0
    B Gain: -10
Fine Motion Enhanced: Off (leave on for sports if you prefer)
    Active Contrast: Off
    Gamma Adjustment: 0
Film Mode: Off (I used Advanced(Low) for sports)
    Digital Noise Reduction: Off
    Monochrome: Off
Range of OPC: +16 Max, -16 Min (it is off, anyways)

  5. I don't have a single complaint about this TV. It was super easy to setup and doesn't weigh very much. The picture and sound are great. I have even used it as my computer monitor by hooking up my laptop with an hdmi cable. Excellent picture quality.

  1. I have had this TV for a bit over a month now. I have no complaints whatsoever. The picture is fantastic, clear and vivid. The color is true and the picture adjustments seem limitless. Set up was a snap. All my devices work flawlessly -dvd, vcr, computer, Roku etc. I love this TV. It really is next generation and at the price represents the best value for me. I looked at many, many HDTV offerings before selecting the Aquos. I am very glad I did. It's better than most costing hundreds more. The only negative I can find is the sound quality. It is a little weak but no more than others in this size. It is a very small gripe because I run the sound through a set of compact computer speakers with a sub and it sounds great.

  2. Ordered this TV and received within the promised timeframe. Upon hooking it up, noticed that there was a bright red "crack" from the top edge of the LCD screen going about 2/3rds of the way down. It seemed like the screen was broken, but upon closer inspection it is probably the "crystal" in the LCD that has cracked. The crack looks just like one on a car windshield, except that it glows red when the TV is turned on. Especially noticable when subject matter is darker.

Have requested for a replacement since I think the TV is still a good buy based on reviews on other web sites. Will post update once the replacement is received.

UPDATE: Amazon's replacement service is excellent. Received replacement TV within 3 days and it is easy to send back the defective item. Have hooked the new TV up and it works great. Here are the pros & cons.
PROS: Good bedroom TV. Sound is ok, but would not be adequate in larger (living) room. Picture is very good and but had to make some adjustments to bring it to our liking.
CONS: Clumsy remote and very very small font on text that displays when you press MENU (to adjust settings etc.) I have to sit at 6 feet or less to work through the menu items.

Overall, a good buy for the money and a great 2nd TV.

  3. I will preface this review by saying that I don't know much about TVs. I purchased this model because I have had great experience with Sharp Aquos in the past.

The picture is WAY. TOO. DARK. Adjusting the contrast and brightness blew out the color and everything looked over-exposed. There was no setting at which the brightness looked good; it was either washed out or too dark. The problem is that we did not have the option to adjust the blacklight for some reason. The set also attracted dust in a way I have never seen before. The glossy coating is rather cheap and "lumpy" looking - there are imperfections that cause light to reflect in a warped manner. It just looked cheap and poorly constructed.

We returned the set and ordered the Samsung 32" 720p Samsung LN32B360 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV and it is PERFECT.

  4. After doing some research on 32in TVs, I was deciding between getting a Sharp, Panasonic or Sony television (I trust Japanese brands b/c of quality and reliability). I came across this television for $320 brand new and could not resist because of the pricing and Aquo's strong reputation. I was skeptical before I ordered but is amazed by this TV upon receiving it. People complain about the picture quality because the calibration for this is pretty difficult. But after taking some time to adjust and tune the television (temp setting on mid-low, contrast 35, tint 8, etc...), the picture is pretty accurate and has deep blacks. For the price I paid for this television, I would say I got an AMAZING deal and I recommend this TV for entry level homes.

  5. The picture quality is quite sharp and colors are brilliant on this TV.

The unit was easy to set-up upon arrival: just screw in some bolts to attach the stand to the TV. The stand seems to be sturdy.

This unit includes several different types of inputs, including: RCA, three HDMI, component, PC, coax. All of the inputs mean that it is easy to plug several different things into it and not have to keep unplugging to do something different. We currently have a Wii, upconverting DVD player, a computer, standard cable, and a Nintendo 64 plugged into it.

Anyone with a widescreen knows the annoyances with trying to watch TV signal in 4:3 format on your 16:9 TV. This TV has input setting called "S. Stretch" that fills up your TV with the 4:3 without stretching the signal out too far or cutting off the top and/or bottom of the signal. Something that is not always handled as well on other widescreen TVs.

I also like the remote that comes with the unit. It quickly become quite intuitive for me and included a couple of good features. For instance, you can "freeze" the image on the screen (it doesn't pause TV like a DVR, but is more like taking a snapshot of what's on your screen while the live feed continues on) - not a "must have" feature, but kind of fun to use when you want to debate whether or not the football player was in or out-of-bounds or to read the note Chuck Lorre always puts up at the end of "The Big Bang Theory." Also, the remote has 4 color-coded buttons where you can set your favorite channels (up to 4 on each button) for the ability to quickly scroll through the channels you watch most.

Overall, I'm a proud owner of this TV and would recommend it.

  1. I didn't want a big surround sound system, so I love the size and ease of hook-up for the sound bar. However, the speaker intermittently sounds fuzzy or "static-y" and has to be turned off. I haven't figured out what causes this to happen. It will work fine for some time, but suddenly goes bad. Sharp has authorized sending the sound bar in to see if they can figure it out, so they are working with me on the problem.

UPDATE: Got the sound bar back from the Sharp Repair Center. It didn't act up for them, so they didn't fix it. (I don't know how long they left it on?? It's an intermittant problem. Maybe they didn't wait long enough.) I hooked it up again and after about an hour, the sound went bad. When it's bad, it has to be turned off; you can't understand a thing from the tv audio - just fuzzy noises. I contacted Sharp customer service again via email; waiting for response. Since I like the size of the sound bar (and the sound is fine when it works), I hope they'll exchange it for a new one. If not, it's going to have to go back.

  2. its a decent speaker, the problem is that it has no hdmi hookup, which is what it says on the ad, and even recommends that you buy hdmi cables to go with it, which it doesn't have a hookup for. So if you want a system to hook up to your tv with hdmi, it doesn't work, because no hookup. So, a decent system, crappy advertising.

  3. The Sharp HTSB2002 sound bar is a small neat unit that can be set up easy in several ways and the sound quality is good.Weakness is in the remote as it is made for the Sharp tv and you must use the remote to control the sound bar. Would be better if the unit could be controled with same remote that is used for tv.

  4. We bought this soundbar for a secondary 42" Sharp LCD that is only used for "casual" TV watching in a large open area that needed more volume and clarity than the small factory speakers could comfortably deliver. We do our "serious" movie watching in the theater room with the 50" Samsung and the JBL L-series speakers that shake the whole house. So, this soundbar was a terrific, affordable, aesthetic solution to enhance the sound of a secondary setup without the bulk or cost of a typical surround system. This soundbar is absolutely not acceptable for a proper home theater setup. Of course, neither are the small "home theather in a box" surround systems, if you ask me.

  5. This soundbar is great--we can finally hear all the conversations on "24". Very clear and with a big range.

  1. The Aquos Blue Ray player, An HP-22U, is turning out to be the perfect companion for my Aquos 52" HD TV. Easy to operate and excellent video/audio.

  2. The only downside of this blu-ray is that it does not have Wi-Fi capabilities.
    Picture quality is great.
Received shipment quickly. Everything as promised.

  3. THe BD-HP22U meets all expectations for a simple cost effective blue-ray player. The price is right and the quality is as good as any other blue-ray.

The BONUS is the SUPPLIED HDMI Cable. The player is advertised with composite cables and yes it is supplied. It looks like Sharp recognized the value in supplying the HDMI cable to make it complete as it should be.

We connect to a Sharp Aquos 40" 1080p LCD and Aquos-Link works as advertised. You only need one remote after you load a DVD to the player.

The unit spins up in a reasonable time and it does have a standby mode to return to the DVD even faster. Picture is great and player automatically goes to 1080p when that is the content. You can also make up upconvert everything by setting it on 1080p.

As with all units, the effective width is about 2" wider if you are going in a cabinet. This allows the stress relief of the power cord and HDMI cable to fit. It would be nice if there were 90 degree turns on the plugs. Our shelf is 11" and the unit is advertised at 10.25 inches wide but unit will not fit due to the plugs. Simple solution is do some cutting on the back of the shelving for more access holes for the plugs.

This unit can be bought for as low as $99 when on special in most electronic stores. That truly makes this a Sharp value.

  4. After doing much research and trying to find the best DR & DVD player for the money I found this product. I do not own a Sharp TV but it worked great on my VIZIO TV. The manual is great however I wish it would tell you more about programming the remote functions. At first glance it looked like you should be able to operate your TV with it as well but it only works on a sharp TV. No big deal to me as I am used to having several remotes and I am planning on getting a logitech universal remote.

The menus are very intuitive and the manual is very helpful for those who may need some help setting it up. For me it was very simple and I only had to glance at the manual a couple of times as I have experience setting up equipment and computers on a regular basis.

Blue ray disks launch faster than other units I have seen on display. The box comes with a 2G USB flash drive to save online content. The ethernet network at T100 was easy to set up and fast enough for online content. DVD's look great as well since the player up converts to the 1080i fine. I would recommend buying an HDMI cable as the player did not come with one.

All in all I think this is a great product.

  5. VERY SLOW, SOME OPTIONS DON'T WORK, LIKE MENU AND TOP MENU FOR BLURAYS.
I ONLY CHOSE THIS BECAUSE I HAVE SHARP AQUOS TV AND COULD USE AQUOS LINK FOR SETUP, BUT I MADE A BAD CHOICE.
