5 comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7K 7.2MP Digital Camera with 6x Image Stabilized Zoom (Black).
- Very nice camera case but I had to return it. My Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7S 7.2 MP Digital camera didn't fit in it.
- I bought this camera since January
It has worked perfectly, macro pics look amazing, i have taken really nice pics with this camera. Video length is as much as your memory card can take not 30 secs like other cameras). It has nice features and the zoom is really good and useful, which was something i was looking for.
I doesn't have a manual option (to change the settings at your will), but is still a very good point and shot cam.
- This is going to be short and sweet and to the point. I love this camera and it works great, has awesome features and the screen is crystal clear. I recommend this camera to any wanting one...
- I've had my DMC-LZ7 for about 8 months now and have taken about 700 photos so far. I can say the picture quality is excellent, as about as crisp as its going to get for a point and shoot camera. I've taken several portrait photos and the detail is amazing. I could see a single strand of hair laying against the face of my subject! Macro works like a charm, I took a photo of a caterpillar and could see all the tiny hairs on his body perfectly. I had a Canon A550 that couldn't capture half the detail and color that this Panasonic does. Needless to say I'm a Panasonic convert. I like the layout of the buttons and the screen is bright and clear when reviewing photos. Some people may complain about the absence of a viewfinder, but for me its not a big deal. I prefer to look to the screen to see just where everything lines up at. My only complaint is the size, I prefer a slimmer body but like somebody else said, the slimmer the camera is the more quality you sacrifice, generally. I'm not sure how true that will be one year from now though! I highly recommend this camera even if the price was more than what it is currently.
- The camera is exactly what I ordered and it came in record time. I didn't pay for expedited shipping and still got it in less than the 5-7 days they stated.

5 comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX55K 8.1MP Digital Camera with 3.6x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black).
- This little giant is a great pocket camera with loads of power features.
* Effective Image Stabilization
* Automatic Intelligence Modes
* Loads of Scene Settings that really work
* Great zoom combination (optical/digital)
* Extra Sharp Images
* 28mm wide angle view
* Super Compact
* File Organization
* Crystal clear 3.2" Screen
I could go on and on with all of the great features.
If you buy this camera and learn how to take advantage of the features, you will not be disappointed. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a small camera with great performance features.
- Excellent small, convenient snapshot camera. All of the controls are really easy to use and in the right positions. The picture quality is outstanding and there is plenty of control over the size of the files. The only drawback that I found is that it does not have a fully manual setting for the exposure and the longest exposure setting appears to be about 1 sec. I am sure that I won't need these settings too often. Overall an excellent purchase. I would recommend it.
- it's a excellent camera. it's easy to use and many function. but it's not easy to buy a replacement battery.
- just a great all around camera. I dont know why anyone would buy anything other than a panasonic. Leica lens, huge lcd screen, its fantastic.
- This camera has proven to be far better than I could have ever hoped!! I purchased this camera after my previous point-shoot style camera was damaged while sandbagging a levee in Iowa...
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX55P was ordered as a hurried replacement before I left on a trip. The camera has excellent lense quality and an outstanding array of features. I really appreciated that the menus and functioning are pretty intuitive if you have experience using cameras. I've mostly worked with Canon products previously and still like that gear very much. Even though I had not used a Panasonic before, locating features was easy and intuitive. I purchased this unit instead of the Canon because the Panasonic is a smaller, flatter camera that offers all of the same features that I wanted for much less money.
Simply put, I have not used a small camera which produced such high quality photos and offered such great flexibility of use. The flash is powerful and offers several settings. I've used the camera in a variety of situations ranging from concerts, over dinner, by a campfire, macro photos of bugs, and in the dead of night. All situations resulted in outstanding photos. The battery life has been very good. The wide angle is VERY useful. I just returned from 6 days of camping using the camera every day (not constantly) and never needed a charge.
I simply can't think of anything else I would like in such a camera. A great purchase that I could recommend to anyone.

1 comments about Panasonic DMC-FX37W 10MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (White).
- When Panasonic announced their new cameras, I was interested in this model for its size, lens and image size. They have ceased the race for megapixel king and I was hoping image quality and not megapixels would become important.
Camera is 10MP, and has a 5x wide angle zoom. Plenty of MP for most uses and users.
The 5X zoom, while not the smoothest when zooming, the range is really appreciated. From a wide to a nice short tele! Very useful. On of my favorite things to do on vacation is to make "two-fers" self portraits of my wife and I. Not easy to do with most point and shoots, not wide enough to capture people and ambiance. This one fits the bill nicely!
First impressions: Camera is smaller than I had expected. This is a plus. It is the same size dimensionally as the Sony Cybershot T-5 it replaces.Also a plus. It is lighter than the Sony, and does not have that "solid" feeling. I consider this a neutral or slight minus.
Fast on the Draw, acceptable shutter lag from this class of camera (I use a D2X as well). Facial recognition focus seems to work too.
One of the most easy to navigate and use menus I have come across. It is distilled to a bare minimum.
Wish it captured RAW data.
I had been concerned, and started to have buyers remorse before I received the camera when I read some reviews of the predecessor about noise in poorly illuminated settings. This does not seem to be a problem. My abbreviated testing in low light has very acceptable results. (Your mileage may vary of course.)
For the price, this seems to be quite a nice camera for a carry everywhere camera.

5 comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35S 10MP Digital Camera with 4x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Silver).
- The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35S is good for outdoor photos, but indoor flash photos have not met expectations. Using the flash results in circular blotches in some photos, and washed-out yellow-tinged appearance in others. Outdoors, the wide-angle lens has been great for large-group pictures. So far, I have relied only on automatic settings, as I have no particular expertise in photography.
- While I like the camera design and menu layout I'm disappointed with its performance in situations where it is low light. While it does get a picture off they have lots of image noise. I also purchased this camera for its video recording capabilities and while the video looks great although it doesn't seem to focus once you start recording (I can get over this) the sound quality is horrid. Everything I record has so much hissing you can't even hear the sounds. This is the most disappointing part of the camera I really wanted to record small things for my wife but instead I find myself pulling out the full video camera anyhow. Also when taking videos outside if the sun hits the sensor it will turn a portion of the video purple. I'm not sure if this happens on others camera but I never had this problem on my old Sony Cybershot.
This camera has been really good when we are outside at a park and where light is plentiful.
If I was to make this decision again I would probably look at a Canon or Nikon camera. I would not recommend this product.
- The title says it all. OK, one possible shortcoming: You cannot operate the zoom while shooting video. I haven't found it to be a big issue, because I know to plan ahead... and the HD is so good it really doesn't make a big difference.
The camera is durable... it survived all of the (non-water) rides at Disney FL in my pocket for a week with no issues or blemishes to the case. It seems to take very nice photos of very large mice and ducks.
Get the extreme III chip... it allows you to shoot faster photos. That's a key point... if you have kids or other creatures that move quickly, this is a good tool to capture the moment. Burst mode exists, but I've rarely had a need for it.
- For several years, I have searched the camera world for a digital camera that had the capabilities I required. Finally the digital world is evolving beyond a point and shoot digital. My Lumix camera is wonderful and easy to learn. the buying experience with Amazon is clean, fast, and without a hitch. Kudos.
- i asked for a recommendation from my friend who is a photographer before i get a camera and he recommended this one. i like it alot.

5 comments about Panasonic DMW-LT55 55mm Tele Conversion Lens for Panasonic FZ7, FZ30, FZ18, and FZ50 Digital Cameras.
- Conversion lenses have always had a poor reputation. Typically generalizations like fuzzy, corner falloff and so on. The Panasonic DMW-LT55 Tele Conversion Lens appears to be the exception. Mounted on a Lumix FZ50, it produces images that are sharper than expected. Not as sharp as those that would be produced by a Nikkor or Canon, but sharp and detailed enough.
There is no noticeable falloff at the edges or corners. No vignetting either. Contrast is excellent.
On the FZ50, the LT55 can be used handheld with the camera's Optical Image Stabilization system activated. That is, frankly, astonishing.
A neat trick on the FZ50 is being able to reduce the resolution of the image from 10 megapixels down to 3 megapixels (just using the center of the sensor) and effectively increasing the power of the tele converter to that of a 1,137 mm lens. The images aren't bad.
The converter is lighweight and easily attached to the FZ50. Any filter on the lens must be removed first. No adapter is required.
Overall, the FZ50 is a nice knockaround and travel camera. It's light, has an incredible 12x Leica design approved lens, a 10 Megapixel sensor and just about every feature you could want. Adding the LT55 to your kit gives you that extra-long telephoto you've always wanted to carry without doing damage to your back. Neat product.
Jerry
- I BOUGHT THIS TELE CONVERSION LENS (TC) TO USE WITH A NEWLY PURCHASED PANASONIC FZ50. YES, IT DID BRING THE SUBJECT IN CLOSER BUT I FOUND THAT BY TAKING THE 'SAME' SUBJECT WITH AND WITHOUT THE TC LENS I COULD GET THE EXACT SAME RESULTS IN PHOTOSHOP WITH ABSOLUTELY NO LOSS OF IMAGE SHARPNESS.
- This lens helped capture quality photos of elk high in the tundra of Rocky Mountain National Park along Trail Ridge Rd. last week. It also captured very good detail in scenics taken there. The added capability is well worth the price. ced
- This lens ended a growing frustration of trying to clearly photograph birds that kept a good and safe distance. Now I can quietly adjust camera settings until that magic moment when they get close enough to let me capture sharper eyes and more detailed colorful feathers. Re the blue heron upload, my car served as a blinder to shoot this shy bird. When it unexpectedly landed nearby I practically held my breath while slowly raising the camera to hide my face. I then had to change a low battery and camera settings without looking so as not to reveal my presence. When using the raw image file format the DMC-FZ50 won't let you use the zoom x2 or x4, but between the FZ50 12x Leica lens and this 3x teleconversion lens you can shoot raw images at a fair distance that'll hold up very well to enlarging and cropping. An attached teleconversion lens will make your camera front-heavy in an unbalanced way, so do increase grip strength when it is attached, especially when using the camera with a tripod, so as not to lose your camera to gravity. The camera I use to shoot pictures with this teleconversion lens is: Panasonic DMC-FZ50 10.1MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black)
- I purchased this lens for my new FZ 18 but it doesn't seem to fit. Am I mistaken? Any help please. Thanks John

5 comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3S 7.2MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Silver).
- I love all features of this camera, pictures are beautiful, it is easy to take them, but... There is no way I can use it now - it has some electrick shortcut in it that makes battery to overheat while not in use, burns it out after couple shots, lens gets stuck in open position. I sent it for repair since it is still on manufacturer's warranty and they returned it to me not working at all after 1.5 months of wait. First - do not rely on warranty. second - if you buy - check that you cna take more than 10 pictures at a time - that has been maximum I could do. If light is low than about 3 - before so called repairs...
- I researched digital cameras on Consumer Reports and they rated this Panasonic Lumix very high. It takes great photos, has a huge screen, takes very good video, and is easy to use. I can use the quick shot feature to take a picture without the fuss. Or customize my shot with all the extra features.
- I rated this camera 4 stars, despite never having handled one, based upon my experience with a TZ1, which I own. I might have rated it less, based on the following problem: I LOVE my little camera, except for one thing - it lacks a viewfinder, and that is a problem with the TZ3 also. This may not seem like much, but it is, especially if you use reading glasses. Using the LCD screen alone, one needs to constantly switch back and forth between "no glasses," to see the view, and "glasses," to see the screen. This would not be such a problem if it had a viewfinder, in which case one could take photos without donning one's reading glasses! And without having to switch back and forth.
I gave it a 4 star rating because otherwise, it is outstanding! The Leica lens is superb, the amount of telephoto/wide angle range is great, and, although my TZ1 is only 5 MP, that is quite adequate for most purposes, even for 8X10 blow-ups, and 7.2 as provided in the TZ3 must eliminate most theoretical issues with resolution and sharpness.
One other issue I have is with the very extensive descriptive material on the Amazon web site. It NEVER gives the exact name of the lens, making it difficult to impossible to determine whether it is the same lens that is in my camera, or not! It sounds like the same lens, but I cannot be sure.
One other little issue is that apparently this camera is far from shockproof. I suspect, based on the info in the manual, though I haven't broken mine yet, that it is rather delicate. If it WERE at least shock resistant, it would be a whole order of magnitude more desirable, in MHO.
Anyway, if this camera, and its siblings had a viewfinder, and were a bit (maybe a lot?) tougher, I don't think there's another digital camera out there that could touch it for less than $400.
- This camera is really fantastic. I have owned a Sony point and shoot and an Olympus. The Sony was horrible and after a year I decided to buy a new camera and found this one.
This camera is incredibly advanced for such a small package. You can use it without ever fiddling with a setting and get great results. It also has some great advanced features if you like to play around with things like exposure compensation or ISO there is that option as well. You can adjust the color (cool, warm, natural, etc), the shutter speed, and the ISO sensitivity. There is a great continuous auto focus for moving subjects, 3 different metering modes, various focus modes (9 point, 3 point etc) and a great auto bracket mode where it will automatically take 3 pictures at 3 different exposures. There is also a continuous burst mode that allows you to take multiple pictures at 3 frames/second. Not to mention the 10X zoom is fantastic for such a small camera. The lens is also an excellent Leica 35mm film camera equivalent of 28-280mm/f3.3 to f4.9.
If you read all the reviews, you will see the negatives. It is true, at low light situations with the automatic setting it doesn't do well. You can play around with some of the adjustments and get a decent picture, but sometimes that isn't useful since by the time you make the ajustments the picture may be gone! Not to mention, if it is truly low light it can be hard to see the screen to make the necessary adjustments...
Overall I have to agree with most of the other reviewers and give this product 5 stars based on my experience with the other point and shoots I have owned.
- This camera is a great point and shoot. It replaced a camera purchased from somewhere else and returned due to no battery life. This has great battery life and takes fantastic pictures. I'm a little challenged with all the settings... but.. that's my fault and the reason for the 4 star rating instead of 5.

5 comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K 7.2MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black).
- i am a two time panasonic owner and love their products. i owned my previous camera for about 4 years and absolutly loved it. the only reason i upgraded to the dmc-fz8 is because the old on had a crack in the lens. which i didn't know about until i was on vacation. the dmc-fz8 is an execellent camera with more features than i could ever use. the zoom on this camera is incredible. although the pictures tend to get grainy at full extended zoom. anyone have any solutions to this grainyness? other than that i have had no problems. the dmc-fz8 was well worth the money i payed and would do it again. thanks to amazon for all the reviews and imformation which help me make my decision on what camera to buy.
- Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K 7.2MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black)
I recommend this product 100%, is excellent!!!!!!!
- I borrowed my friend's Panasonic FZ8 this past weekend to photograph my son's birthday party. I took about 150 photos total. I took all photos on Manual mode. Finding a photo that is sharp is a actually challenge! I ended up deleting 90% of the photos after uploading them to the computer. So, if you take lots of photos indoors where a flash is usually needed, keep on shopping. After taking dozens of photos indoors, I went outside to test the camera under bright sunlight. Horrible. photos were overexposed. I wouldn't want a free FZ8, let alone buy one.
- We needed a camera to replace our Kodak C743 that my wife carries in her purse. We use a Digital SLR most of the time, but we like to have one with us for those times we "wish we had a camera".
Anyway, here are some good points about this camera. Put it on the simple mode and you get great pics. Some pics have some red-eye, but it is probably one of the better compact cameras on handling red-eye. Its very durable and easy to use. We recently came back from a vacation on took almost 1400 pictures with this camera. All with the flash and the battery held up well.
The only real bad point I have on this camera is the size. Its kind of bulky for a "compact" camera, but overall I would recommend it as a buy.
- Pros: Image quality, features and UI, price, optical zoom, weight.
Cons: Larger than expected, not great for wide angle (or indoor, low light stuff).
Thoughts: You can't beat the price. I researched for quite a while before buying this camera and I choose right; I would buy it again. It's just right for what I wanted to use it for: outdoor landscape pictures and long range. Not really interested in indoor photography. (The long shutter setting is great for night shots, as long as you have a tripod.)

- This camera display excellent pictures! for non professional cameras for my its the best. Note that i have made an extensive review about cameras and I Decided for Lumix. The best technology, the best quality, its number one in the market. dont think it more, i wasted to much time tinking about it already.
- I like it lots. I haven't figured it out yet, but its going to be a lot of fun using that wide angle feature of this camera.
- This is a great camera, that takes great pictures. I got one for Christmas, and decided we needed 2. The pictures are great, and the videos that it can take are good quality. I would not rely on it as a video camera, but it's handy when you need one.
- great deal at $166. not as intuitive to use until you get used to wheel to set modes. i cannot see small symbols on wheel without glasses. screen is nice and big, but lack of viewfinder makes it harder for outdoor shots in sunlight. excellent battery life. fabulous quality pictures with no blur. excellent auto fill in flash for backlit outdoor shots. very pleased with it.
- I knew how this camera worked. My boyfriend had one just like it a few years back, so I was obsessed in getting it myself. But in the meantime, the great little camera I knew turned into an even greater camera. Now it makes movies and has a lot of little features that help you take amazing pictures. In three words: I Love It! Always keep it in my purse handy. It's just the greatest little cam I ever had, and people just love my pictures.
