- This camera is so complicated to use that I have not been able to take photo's or videos since it was purchased. It drains batteries so fast one cannot even turn on the camera to take photos without replacing with new ones and even then, one keeps getting false readings of "low battery" even though I have a battery checker to make sure they are in full power. It has been more than three months since this camera was purchased and neither the store nor the company will entertain a replacement. Am I upset......you betya!
- This is the best camera in its class! the best quality you can find for only 150$ I am very pleased with this camera. please don't listen to anything anybody else says about this camera! It rocks, period!
- I received this camera as a gift, 12/2004, and have had it for about a year. It has proven itself to be dependable, takes great pics, and has a very good battery life. I am puzzled by the above review. It's a wonderful little camera.
- Okay so I am not a photographer I just wanted a simple camera to take simple pics of my beautiful son & that's what I got & the color is great on the pics. As far as it being complicated I don't think so. However, it does read low battery often even if the battery is not low. Just turn it off & back on then it's fine. Even the editing software is great. Plus I only paid $85.00 for mine. Great Buy!
- Ok, so let me start off by saying for $100 this is a great buy. but as the title suggests you do get what you pay for.
PROS:
5 megapixels = very good image quality
Great Value!!
Pretty user friendly
easy to turn on and shoot
CONS:
NO OPTICAL ZOOM
Drains batterys very quick
with flash on it takes a very long time to prepare to shoot
flash does not have good range
i have had this camera for about a year and a half and im pretty satisfied

- First, the screen on the camera is a "status" screen, not a viewing screen--so you have no idea if the pictures you take come out or not. It's also very cheap and plasticy--no way this ever sold for $99--don't be fooled by the "marked down" price. I am very disappointed.

- Nice toy. I Really enjoyed it.
It is not a perfect camera. No great results, no amazing pictures, but ... As a tool for point and shoot, to be able to share over the internet web-resolution-pictures : I Really enjoyed it. Don't forget to take a real camera with you, but take this one too.
- I bought the camera three weeks ago and it was fine, i know have a problem with it, it comes on but will not do anything.it acts like a computer that has locked up, after 9 calls later someone finally called me back from vivitar and explained to me that they could fix it for $80.?.? i asked about the warranty and they continued with the plastic case was under warranty...Help

- I wish I had bought instant lottery tickets with the money I spent on this camera. It takes horrible photos and takes a long time to do so. I would sell it if it wouldn't give me tremendous guilt. I think I'll throw it off of something very tall.
- This is an okay camera for your first one, but it is a battery eater!.. After about 20 pictures with flash, you need to change the batteries. Maybe I am naive but come on! Also...the flash stinks. You need there to be a LOT of light in the room to even make out an object and this is WITH the flash. Without it is just as bad.

- The DSC 350 is no longer being manufactured but may still be found in the market place.avdistribution@optonline.net writes:(AV Distribution LLC)THE ITEM New VIVICAM DSC 350 [Camera] IS DEFECTIVE, THE THE CF CARD IN CAMERA CANNOT BE REMOVED, THE EJECTOR (FLIP DOES NOT WORK) AND THERE ARE BATTERIES IN THE CAMERA INDICATING IT HAS BEEN USED, CAMERA AND PACKAGE LOOKS USED. AFTER PUTTING IN NEW BATTERIES, IT DOES NOT POWER ON. THIS PRODUCT HAS SHIPPED USED WITH OUT INVOICE, WARRANTY CERTIF. THE ITEM WAS LISTED AS NEW. FURTHER IT DOES NOT WORK AND IS DEFECTIVE.
Ofcourse there was no answer to my e-mail, so I called my credit card company and sent it BACK & may still be found in the market place.
- This is a very good camera. Even though it eats up the battery it still takes very good pictures. I would definately recommend it to a friend.

- I find this a great little camera for the money. For my needs, it is just right. I find it takes clear pics, very small, so easy to carry. I have no problems with it at all. I can carry it in the case on my belt or in a pocket. I recommend it highly.
- I purchased this camera for my 5 year old grandson. It's small enough to handle and large enough to hold steady during an exposer. The general operation of this camera is very simple and easy to use. The image doesn't stay in the window very long after the exposure is made, but it's easy to preview later.
- (im actually 14 but im using the kid thing, haha.)
THIS CAMERA IS [...]. All of the pictures turn out way too bright! People look pure WHITE!! I can't stand it. And the pictures were really fuzzy and undetailed, too. Usually I don't get another camera until mine breaks... but this one was so bad I had to go buy a new one!
DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA. CRAPPIEST CAMERA EVER.
- Picture taking is my life!! I would almost be board at family functions without a camra in my hands. I got my Vivitar camra at a pawn shop for $10 and it is amazing. I took it to my PaPa's house over the summer and i got some beutiful pictures.
this is an easy camra to work an i love the way it takes vidio even if it is soundless. for the 4th of july i took some videos of the fireworks and it was so much fun to look at even without sound.
This was not my first camra what so ever. I have had many other camras and have camras that cost well over 500 dollors, but this camra is just fine for me. The only thing I don't like about it is the zoom. When you zoom in to like 4x it makes the picture really blurry. But if you are expirenced in photo taking it shouldn't be a problem.
I recommend this camra and i thinkj it was a good find.
- If you are looking to take high quality pictures, then look elsewhere. It is nice for taking quick snapshots with the family or what-have-you, but not much else. (Or for a beginner in photography or a child.) You have to hold very still if you don't want your pictures to come out blurry. Also, the flash makes images far too bright and if you don't use the flash it sometimes makes images come out far too dark.
The only thing I like about this camera is it's size. It's great to just keep in your pocket or your bag...
Anyway, I'm buying a better one soon.
