- Even at the age of 12, I think this camera would be great for kids, because its easy to reload film into and it's not hard to work with. I think it's a pretty cool camera, because there is color to it instead of the plain old normal gray and black. You don't have to worry about you're kids breaking a hundred dollar camera the first time they you use it. I would give this product a five star rating.
- I think that this is a terrible camera. Even though it is very stylish, it takes bad pictures. Even if you have bright lighting the pictures look dark. I would not suggest buying this camera.
- I recommend for those who like using APS cameras to first try the one-time use verisons before buying this one. I have used two one-time use Kodak Advantix cameras, 35 mm single use, Poloraid instant camera, and 28 mm or 110 Kodak Cameo Camera. But I seem to like having more options and this is what came up. However, the Olympus i Snap APS camera doesn't have the Panamoric view, nor the Print H type available...just the Print C type available and that is 4" x 6" print type available on this camera. I remember paying alot to have a few panamoric prints being processed and that didn't come cheap. So, if you want three Print types available, then buy a used Kodak Advantix Camera instead of this one. Also, I think the resulting prints depends on what brand name film cartidge you use, the lighting, and how the exposed film is temporaily stored before it is taken in to be processed.

- 1. What you see in the viewfinder is not what comes out in the photo. Photos where I center the image in the viewfinder consistently come out left of center in the image.
2. All of my photos are dark in the corners. Some photos look like they're framed by this darkness, with a roundish image visible in the middle.
This camera is unacceptable.
- The image quality is really unacceptable...
- I have had this camera approximately a year and a half and I have used it only a few times but on the times I have used the camera my pictures came out beautifully and I had no problems with the quality of the pictures or with using the camera itself.

- This camera is a pain in the butt to use. Like the other reviewers, I also have problems with the lens. With brand new batteries the thing will behave strangely to the point of wanting to throw it away. Then right when I am ready to do just that, it will work again. There is a sliding cover over the lens to protect it, which is great, except when you go to close it again because you have to push it into the lens barrel. Overall this camera feels very cheaply constructed. The image quality is average for a point and shoot, ranging from decent color and sharpness in perfect lighting, to washed out and blurring in every other situation. I recommend looking elsewhere. Even the Nikon FM10 which is an SLR with interchangable Nikkor lenses can be found used for $150.
- This was my first camera (actually, I had an underwater camera and it ruined my film, the shutter release didn't work and hardly any of the pictures came out) and I personally have no problem with it. I just have to push the zoom button way to many times to get maxium-zoomage (and, believe me, maxium-zoomage is not that long), and the shutter release is way too close to the zoom buttons (I'm having night mares of trying to zoom, but then hitting the shutter release and wasting a picture). My pictures don't come out to dark or too light, like most of the other reviewers said. Hmmmm, oh, yea, it makes too much noise when you open the lense and push the shutter release (kind of annoying if I'm trying to take a candid photo). Overall, the miner flaws are not really that bad, and I reccomend this camera for any photographer. PEACE OUT!
- This camera is loud and slow. The zoom is slow and jerky. Flash recycle is slow. Bulky
To utilize flash off and landscape mode, you have to use your left hand to hold the button in place while taking the actual picture. No LCD, no other flash options, red-eye is always on, delay between hitting shutter button and snapping of the picture. The lens cover, which slides over to the right when camera is on, is in just a spot that if you hold the cam a certain way, your fingers can scoot it over, thereby shutting the cam off in the middle of trying to take a picture. The tele and wideangle buttons arent easy to feel...you have to look at the camera to be sure you arent hitting the shutter button. Film rewind is auto, but only after you push the button to set it rewinding. It doesnt automatically pre-wind film to picture 1. I have a Minolta Freedom Action Zoom 60 (for the past 7 yrs, its kinda outta commission right now, but after having this Olympus, thinking Im going to spend the money to get the Minolta fixed).....WAAAAAAAAAAY better camera. Offers more options, the camera does all the work for you by the touch of buttons. Flash is quick to recharge, zoom is fast, fluid, and quiet....what novel ideas!
- I enjoy taking lots of pictures, but I have had nothing but frustration after buying this camera. I kept thinking the batteries were dead, and the camera would freeze up and not perform any longer. I cannot tell you how many missed birthday, anniversary, and Christmas pictures since this camera came into my life. What a dog!
- This camera is really a mixed bag. I hate absolutely everything about it: too noisy, zoom too slow, unimpressive viewfinder, etc. But even as bad as this camera is, I took some really amazing pictures with it. You know the saying: It is a poor workman who blames his tools...
I'm not saying that those who got bad pictures with it don't know how to take photos but I have to admit that out of the several hundreds of photos I took with it, only a few were really bad, and it's mostly because the setting was too dark (I mostly take outdoor photography and sunsets).
I'm definitely looking for a new camera because this one is just too clunky, noisy, slow and [...] ugly. But it has served me well for a couple of years now and I'm happy with my photos, so in the end, that's what counts.
3 stars.

- This camera is not outstanding, but does have some nice features. I have had the most success with taking pictures using natural light. If you take most of your pictures outside, this would be a good camera.
The different flash settings are nice and the red eye reduction works well. But, I've had trouble in general with using the flash in very dim settings. The background often comes out looking totally dark. I hate pictures that have the digital date stamped on them in the corner. This camera does that, but that option works off its own battery, not the main camera battery. I just took out the little battery and the pictures come out plain. Another thing I like is that it will not allow you to take the picture if it is out of focus. A light flashes on the inside of the viewfinder it's not focused. Then, you know you need to back up or re-adust your aim.
- Easy to use - Great Pictures ! I've used autofocus and manual focus cameras for years and have found this to be the best of the lot, for ease of use and quality of pictures.
I suggest using the 400 speed film for in & outdoor shots, as the autofocus feature seems to like that best.
- I recieved this camera for Christmas, and have had the opportunity to use it in diverse situations. Consistent with my experience with Olympus products, it is easy to use and takes sharp, well exposed pictures. Olympus is known for making sharp lenses, even in lower priced cameras, and this one doesn't dissapoint. It is bigger than many other point and shoot cameras, but I prefer having something a little bigger. There have been some complaints about the date imprinting, I also don't like it, but it can be turned off. Read the instruction manual, it's not hard to do.
The only compliant I have is that the lens is quite slow. With ISO 100 film, the flash comes on in all but the brightest sunlight. ISO 400 film is recommended. However, this problem goes with the territory in point and shoots with zoom lenses, and to fix it would greatly increase the size, weight and cost of the camera. The exposure system is accurate, the only problem I had was in Death Valley, taking a picture at Badwater, all the white salt fooled the exposure system into underexposing the picture, but it was still well within the exposure latitude of the film. I haven't replaced the original battery in this camera, which is even more impressive in that I took the battery out of another camera which broke. Point and shoots eat batteries for breakfast, this one seems to do quite well in the battery life department. ... In short, if you're looking for a zoom lens point and shoot, prefer something on the larger size, ... you can't go wrong with this camera. Good features, great pictures, and Olympus quality.
- I have always heard good things about the Olympus brand so I assumed when I bought this camera that I would be happy with it. Three weeks after purchasing it the zoom quit working. I called the Olympus customer service but I found then very unhelpful. I brought it back to the store and exchanged it for a new one of the exact same model. I immediatly put batteries in and tried it out but this one was broke too with the same problem! So, two cameras in a row were broke, one after three weeks, one already when I purchased it. I finally took it back to the store and exchanged it for a different brand of camera. I'm not impressed with this camera!

- I purchased this camera because I wanted a small camera to take with me on rainy days or when I did not want to carry around my Pentax P3 or my Nikon FG-20 and various lens. I was skeptical about how well this camera would meet my diserning eye, but I thought for the price, and that it had been refurbished, it was worth a try. My husband and I went to Harper's Ferry for our honeymoon and spent 2 days taking pictures by the two rivers and of the church. Because of the heat, I opted to leave my good cameras behind and just take this little Olympus, knowing this would be a once in a life time opportunity and that camera needed to do well! When we got the prints back, and it really makes a difference where you get your photos developed!, the quality and clarity of the photos were excellent. I really do enjoy having a small camera so I able to relax and enjoy the hike and also trust that my photos will be clear and sharp. I am pleased with the one that I have purchased.

- This is the Deluxe edition of the camera I am referring to in this review. This is a very good camera, at an affordable price, that takes excellent pictures. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is its inability to take good night pictures without using a tripod. My old Samsung had a night setting that took outstanding night pictures without a tripod. I wish I could get the same quality with this camera. Also, there isnt' a continuous shooting function or a Macro function (the specs say 2.6 ft is the closest with this camera, although, I've found out by experimenting you can get closer than that) that I had with my Samsung either. Those are the only flaws with this camera. I am still trying to master the settings, but most of my pictures come out SLR quality (primarily using ISO 800 film).
As with any camera, there are a few quirks with the settings that you have to get used to and play with. One thing I don't understand is why some people don't read the manuals. Granted, this is not the best manual I've seen, but if you read it, you might learn something about the camera. Some experiments actually come out better than you expect. The red-eye reduction works great, as does the fill-in flash. The focus is automatic, but a focus lock is possible. That is something I am still experimenting with.
All in all I am pleased at the quality of the photos I have taken with this camera.
- If you want a sturdy camera for the great outdoors with plenty of zoom power, this is it.

- The lens cover broke on the first use!!! I will never buy an Olympus Product again!
- We have bought six Olympus's for our large family of grown children. They are easy to use, relatively inexpensive, and compact. But, they have a major flaw. On three of the six cameras we have bought, the lins cover has broken and this prevents the camera from operating. The authorized service places in Houston Texas say they can not get the parts to repair this product deficiency.
- The camera is compact, solid but light, and very easy to use. The images are very good to excellent. All the features seems to work just fine. The telephoto lens really brings images in. Its relative resistance to water-spray helps with boating photography. So far it has worked without a hitch. Though I own a digital camera, I believe that a film camera like this is still preferable for travel or for taking many pictures in a short time. All you have to do is plop a new film in and keep going, and then drop it off for development and you will end up with photos that will not fade out in a few years. I highly recommend this Olympus for an uncomplicated way of handling photography in an economical fashion and ending up with excellent results.
- I have had this camera for over 6 years and have gotton some brilliant shots from it. The clarity and richness of color is really amazing- it rivals digital cameras. The camera is pretty lightweight and easy to carry around. The only downside of course being a 35 mm- you have to scan the photos to a disc before you can upload them onto the computer. Some pictures have a bit of noise/grain in them, but not much. They can be reduced with software.
- really great camera, takes really nice photos. If you need a great 35mm camera at a low cost this would be it.

- This is a great little camera. An amazing thing is its small size. It easily fits in pockets and bags. Not to mention the picture quality, which was also one of the two main criteria for this purchase. For my own hiking and vacation photos, I chose the Yashica T4. For my son, we got the Olympus Stylus Epic -- smaller, fairly durable and nearly the same photo quality. He shot 13 rolls of 36 over a two week vacation and we were very impressed.

- I think it is great! It is the kind of camera I've always wanted. Very light, compact and easy to use. The images are perfect!! The zoom function is perfect and it is NOT noisy at all. I am very pleased with my purchase. Thanks, www.Amazon.com for the good recommendation!
- I bought this camera about 2 1/2 years ago. I was very satisfied with the picture quality under a variety of conditions. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago it quit focusing. As it turns out for this type of camera all photo repair shops send the unit in to Olympus to have it repaired. If you want you can send it to Olympus directly yourself. The problem is that regardless of the problem, the repair is a flat rate ... which is rapidly approaching the cost of just buying a replacement camera. Disappointing...
- It doesn't suck. I cannot believe some of the negative comments about this camera. I've had one for a while and it's always taken great pictures. The only problems that I've had is when the people at Eckerd screw up the processing (but they have ALWAYS reprinted at NO COST) to correct the problems. For a point and shoot, it does a great job of focusing. 1 last thing, use Fuji film. I have always had better results with it than Kodak.
- The two most important features to me are the quality of the photos a camera takes (with and w/out the zoom), and how quickly the picture is taken when you press the shutter and quick speed between photos. This camera delivers both those features.
I had an Olympus Stylus for years, then a year ago thought I should get a new autofocus camera and read snappy advertising by Nikon about their special glass lens technology for incredibly sharp pictures blah blah blah. I was sold. That camera took terrible fuzzy or grainy photos with the zoom, and not that great without the zoom lens. And the worst part was the wait time between photos with and without the flash. We'd press the shutter also, and there would be a few second delay before the photo was taken. By then all the kids had moved and we had to set everybody up all over again. Do not buy a Nikon lite touch. I love the Olympus. We've taken it to the ocean and snapped four rolls of film. Every photo was sharp, colorful, and good quality. I cannot tell you how releived we were when we got the photos. Olympus makes a great product at a great price without a lot of pomp and circumstance.
- In July 2004, just a month after I got the 140 QD CG camera, it started jamming when I'd extend the zoom lens. Made a series of horrid clicking sounds when I'd extend it, or try to pull it back in. Put in fresh battery (again), tried again - - jammed up, wouldn't rewind the film at the end of a roll, lost all photos. Boxed it up, sent it back to Olympus at my expense, and received it back about 3 weeks later, with a xeroxed piece of paper - - no letter of explanation as to repair or problem - - just a schematic of the film case, yellow-highlighted, and all I could gather from this lack of information was they were trying to tell me I was loading the film incorrectly. That would make the zoom lens and lens cover jam and click and take out-of-focus photos? I think not. So, back from the factory, I proceeded to try again, and the camera worked for about a month - - by December same problems were back - - several rolls of film later, photos still coming back out of focus, zoom lens jamming, lens cover jamming. Haven't decided yet whether to return it to Olympus and tell them they've lost me as a customer, or throw it off the highest cliff. Don't waste your money on this product. It was disappointing to find out that Olympus doesn't seem to care about communicating or making things right. This was my first and last Olympus product, even though I'd heard great things about their stuff.
