2 comments about Remanufactured Nikon Coolpix 7600 7MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom.
- I loved the camera - easy to use and fast processing. However after 6 months I starting getting "LENS ERROR" messages and the camera stopped taking pictures. Nikon said they would charge me $100-150 to fix so I don't think it's worth it. I have had better luck with my Pentax. I guess that's why Nikon stopped making these models after about a year.
- I was very disappointed with this camera. It does not take good pictures, has alot of lighting issues and the batteries do not stay charged. As a matter of fact, I ended up purchasing a Kodak 710 after christmas to replace this camera.

3 comments about Nikon EH-31 Coolpix AC Adapter for Coolpix 990 & 995 Digital Cameras.
- The Coolpix 990 AC Adapter does just what it is supposed to do, which is to allow you to use your camera for as long as you wish without having to worry about batteries running down. This is especially important when downloading files to your computer. You can travel abroad with it as it works on 100-240 volts, 50 or 60 cycle AC. My only quibble is not with the adapter, but the camera circuitry, which requires that you remove the batteries when using any AC adapter. It will not recharge them, but might cause the batteries to overheat (according to Nikon).
- I didn't read anything about the need to remove the batteries while using the adapter with the instruction that came with the adapter. There was a warning about not using the adapter too long or else it might over heat the camera, but it didn't specify what "too long" is. The AC cable that came with the camera is only good for either 120 or 240 volts. You MUST use different cables for different voltages. My recommendation is to spend your money on getting more rechargeable batteries intead of buying this adapter. Make sure you get batteries with 1600mha ratings.
- Page 163 of the Nikon CoolPix995 camera guide states that "The AC Adapter EH-31/30 cannot be used with the CoolPix995." The foregoing statement appears under the paragraph explaining the use of Nikon AC Adapter/Battery Charger EH-21.

4 comments about Nikon Coolpix L3 5.1MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (White).
- Easy to operate. LOTS & LOTS of functions for taking fun pictures. Easy to upload. Pics are crisp and bright and the movie mode is also great for taking videos. Its also very light and small. It was given to me as a gift. I JUST LOVE THIS CAMERA.
- The camera is ok, I guess. I got it for Christmas 06'. It doesnt come with a charger, or a memory chip, or a charger. So you have to but all that stuff unless you want to keep on buying batteries.
But other than that the camera is great. And if you ask Amazon to wrap it(the present),they will and it is soooo nice, I loved it.
- I really like this camera. I had taken my friend's to Europe and took over 300 pics with it and everyone was amazing. So I decided to buy it myself in the white color and love it!! :)
- I have owned this camera for a year now. I'm not totally satisfied with it. I have played with the settings numerous times but I cannot take a decent picture indoors even with great natural lighting. Pictures still turn out dark. I didn't like how when I took a picture of somebody indoors how it made the background nearly dark while only highlighting the individual. It's tough trying to capture the mood with the surroundings when everything else looks dark. It's simply not a point and shoot camera. You have to hold the button a few seconds for the lens to focus and since I take a lot of pictures on the fly in my car, I have missed many shots waiting for this to focus. It does take some decent shots outdoors but sometimes the colors are funky. Also this is NOT the camera to be taking pictures in the woods where it is shady. Even with the natural light in the shade the pictures turn dark. My old Sony Cyber Shot DSC P52 took the same pictures in the same lighting conditions as the Nikon and they were nice and bright whereas the Nikon was too dark. A plus to this camera though it has a decent LCD screen size.

5 comments about Nikon D50 6.1MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm & 55-200mm Nikkor Lenses.
- I bought this back in 2005 when it was under a grand including two lens that comes with this stuff, funny how the price doubled considering how you can purchase the higher end model for the same price. I like the quick reloading time, this camera can also use the Nikon SB 600 flash, which is great for extra lighting and creative lighting techniques like bounce flah to give a more natural lighting. If you look at SB 600, it says it's for D 70 models but you can use it on this model also.
- I am selling my D50 600 flash and long range Nikon lens. The battery that came with my D50 was defective causing all kinds of weird behavior. By the time Nikon had a recall I had already bought after market. The 600 flash over came its inability to take indoor photos. Still my D50 would regularly lock up and not allow me to get a shot especially in lighting conditions and indoors. By the way the flash would not work initially due to poor battery electrical contact (please look at your plating process)
My brother also bought a D50 similar problems. Only difference he bought an Olympus to fix the problem and I bought a Fuji F31fd.
I trusted Nikon because I always had great luck with your cameras in the past. Bought the flash and extra lens to try to address the problem and looked like an idiot in front of my new wife by sending good money after bad; so no more Nikon for me probably going to buy a Fuji S100fs unless some one can recommend one of their other competitors camera. My brother favors Olympus. Sorry to say that the D50 is the worst camera I have ever had even though it shot a few beautiful outdoor shots.
- The Nikon D50 is no longer in production, but you can find them used online. This is a great camera. They say it's a beginner camera, but it has almost every feature someone that's been shooting for a while would need. Specifically, a dedicated button for ISO and White Balance give you easy access to two thing I commonly use. Only thing I wish it had was a Black and White mode and an illuminated display on top. Other than that, a great great camera.
- I have the D50 for 2 1/2 years now. I am still loving it. I also tested my friend's D40. In my opinion, it beats D40 on every count except the D40's bigger LCD and color histogram. D50 is a photographer camera and D40 is a consumer camera. Nikon is right. D40 sells like hotcakes. I buy D50 over D40 if I am buying an entry level camera today.
- The D50 is a solid little camera, it's versatile, works great with different lenses, low noise even at 800 ISO, I won a betterphoto.com competition with a photograph produced by the D50. The pre-sets are OK, but if you want to draw out the full potential of this camera then go manual or shutter/aperture priority.
I upgraded to the D200 and now my husband and son are using the D50 for shooting, the D200 has a few extra bells and whistles but for an "entry" level DSLR the D50 is just perfect!
I never had any problems with anything not working, it all works perfectly, produces stunning colors and super sharp images.
Too bad they stopped producing the D50, what a neat camera! Can't go wrong with it! I have owned it for almost 3 years and have shot over 60000 images with it!

5 comments about Nikon Coolpix 800 2MP Digital Camera w/ 2x Optical Zoom.
- I bought one of these when they came out. The first problem was the batteries. It ate them like no tomorrow. I ordered two sets of rechargeables and that fixed that. Then I bought a card reader to transfer pictures, and that really helped...until...I accidentally dropped it (not that hard) and it broke. ... It worked fine when I got it back.
My other problem is the fragility of it. It's extremely fragile. I like the camera but would not purchase it again because of this.
- I have been using this camera for about two years now. It takes great pictures and I have taken hundreds of pictures of my Grandchildren and made slideshows on Cds for them. I would absolutely buy this camera again. (I dont like the loose lens cap but I would not deduct a point for that.)
- This camera takes wonderful pictures but the zoom doesn't do the job. its no good for taking pictures of your child playing football but its great for pictures on a trip. be careful the lag between pushing the shutter and taking the picture is long as well as the time between pics at high quality.
- this is the first serious digital camera i got, and i've been pretty hapy with it. great macro, decent zoom, and fair response time. the other complaints you hear, including how it chews batteries and the like, are generally true. still, given a pocket full of batteries, i'd take this with me when i go places.
my biggest complaint is the size, it doesn't travel super well (i like to keep my hands free, i'm forgetful and often misplace things). i like to stick my camera in my pocket, and it just doesn't fit. still, its plusses make it a decent camera. i'd check out some of the newer coolpix cameras if you were buying new and had the budget for it, they're a great line.
- Amazing, this was an expensive high quality camera just under Nikon's best 950 digital back in 1999! However, this Nikon 800 still takes pictures that will match or exceed the best cameras in the market today thanks to its original build quality internals which were not skimped on plus the all glass 2x optical zoom (38 to 76mm equivalent)f/3.5-4.8 Nikkor lens. ..it's virtually a steal at todays price and nothing today takes better pictures in it's class. Oh,did I mention it fits in pocket like a hand. :)

- Easy to use - I haven't even opened the Owner's Manual, yet (probably should do that sometime)! For those wanting a simple camera that takes great pictures, this is the camera for you. Great, small size plus features of many far more expensive cameras make this a great choice for those just getting into the market for a digital camera. I do a lot of digital work for the web and this camera suffices for everything I need.
- I've gotten better acquainted with my camera. Here are my final tips. In most cases set EV to -1 and brighten the picture with the Nikon software, or if you have the sun behind the object, set EV to +1. Use manual white setting at all times, set in camera sharpening to low. Have a nice day.
- This is a great camera for outdoor photography. We took this camera to our Canada Trip and the result was beyond our expectation. It took excellent photographs of Niagara falls in the night using the Night Scene Mode.
Also, both of my kids ( 4 and 8 yrs old) can takes great photos ( in auto mode) with this camera. It consumes lots of battery power so rechargeable batteries are recommended. I also purchased lexar media compact flash card (256MB) with this camera.
- I was pleasantly surprised with the Coolpix 2000. It has all I want and more. It's easy to figure out and I was snapping pictures away in no time. As others have stated, the camera does have a low battery life but that was fully expected from me. Rechargable batteries take care of that problem rather easily.
I've had the camera for a couple of weeks now and have no complaints. One possible problem that might come up is the bright sunshine may inhibit viewing the viewfinder. So far no problems but the weather has been rather cloudy.
