- i have the horizon 202 and the shots are really quite impressive. as opposed to "panoramic" shots from other cameras that just cut off the tops and bottoms of the frame, this camera really pulls in 120 degree wide shots. wonderful for scenery and vistas.
you need to find a place that can develop the film. it uses regular 35mm, but each shot is about a frame and a half wide. enlagements look great--the details are sharp. no stitching of images--real panoramic shots right out of the camera.

- Since receiving this camera, I've been completely attached to it. I've taken it everywhere I go, even to the gym. It came with easy instructions to re-use it and I'd also like to note that you don't HAVE to use the colored film over the flash. It easily slides out of the way in case you want photos without a blue tint. Very neat. I'm now ordering the Green one with Red and Yellow next on my list.
- i bought a red and blue one and the flash worked twice on the blue before it stopped and it won't even flash on my red one. the photos turned out granular and horrible. only about 3 turned out completely. i don't think that it's worth the money, you're much better off buying a regular disposable and putting a piece of blue plastic in front of the flash.
- I bought the yellow one a few weeks back and absolutely loved it! My pictures turned out great! While you can get the film developed at a Big Box Store, my advice is don't. While the pics you get back will have the yellow (or other color) tint, the color isn't as true as it would be if you went to a camera shop and had them develop the photos. It's a fun little camera and I recommend it for anyone who wants to take funky photos.

5 comments about Lomography Supersampler Camera (Blue).
- No one should order this camera hoping that they will receive a professional quality item. It is simply made to be fun, and that is what it is. It is made of plastic, and it is fragile...so I will warn you. Nonetheless, it is, as I have said, tons of fun. Naturally, since it has no flash, you have to take the pictures with plenty of light. Also, every picture you get developed isn't going to be of professional quality, but that is part of the fun--you just dont know what you are going to get.
- I love the Supersampler. I definitely prefer its panoramic format and much sharper image rendition to the original four-lensed Actionsampler. It's really fun to play and experiment with. Be sure to try the extreme close-up effect!
The rip-cord advance is a cool feature, but does require some care. If you use it normally, it should last without a problem. My Supersampler is going on 10 rolls without a hitch.
However, if you yank the thing, it will definitely come out. Be sure not to hand this camera to any young children that don't know any better.
Oh, and use 400 ASA film. The shots are bright and colorful, with almost no blurring. It's really best for sunny days.
- Broke the first time my 23 year old daughter used it. Poor Christmas present!
- this camera is great amazon is great so i recieved my camera pretty quickly and the camera is fun to use and takes awsome pictures
- I love the supersampler, the price was fantastic and it got to me quickly. That is everything I could want in a shopping experience

- I really like this product and the images it gave me for the first roll but after that everything started malfuctioning. I'd like to return it for another one because I think it's still worth having.
warning if you get this product treat it with the upmost care and caution it is very sensitive
- This camera was great while it lasted, but you have to be very gentle with the pull-cord, because mine broke shortly after purchasing it.
The box it comes in, and the book it comes with are both very nice.
- I agree that this is a really fun camera and it allows for a lot of happy mistakes. I've had lots of fun with it and gotten some really good photos. However, the people at my local photo-mat think I'm crazy.
My only complaint is that on my camera one of the four lenses always over exposes the shot. So I have three nice shots and one that is really bright. Part of me kind of likes this and I use this problem to my advantage to make some interesting photos, but I would like to have another supersampler that doesn't do this as well.
I guess I'll order another one and get a different color too!
- It is fun, it looks usual, it is cool...I get lots of fun in it. The only thing I'm gonna point out is the texture of the surface, too easy to get dirt on it, I bought 3 weeks ago, it already looks like I bought for 6 month. This is the only thing I feel it is not good.
- WTF!? This item went from $35 to $50 overnight!? Doesn't seem like it's worth more than $35 to me. From the reviews I've read it sounds like it's not the most reliable and well made camera, more of a fun novelty item. 50 bucks!!?? come on Amazon!! Looks like I'm gonna have to take it off the wish list for my birthday that's coming up...how dissapointing.

- rilli a goody goody camera i luuuv it soo much.
- These camera's are great for enthusiasts! I gifted my roomate this one for christmas (as I already own one, and she borrows it from time to time). We are both photo majors, and it's easy to get swept up in new technology. Sometimes its benificial to go back to your roots ;)
- The camera is fine. Amazon service sucks. I tried several times to cancel this order because I found it cheaper on another site, and although your website says I can cacel anytime prior to shipment, it kept me in the never ending loop without giving me the ability to actually cancel it. You SUCK!
- My main point in writing this review is that you can get this camera for much, much cheaper by buying it used or elsewhere.
The Holga is fun and I know many people who swear by it. While I personally have never been extremely into lomography/"plastic fantastic" cameras, if you are this is a good camera and the advantage of using medium format film is wonderful. Also there are scores of websites that will tell you all the ways you can modify your Holga. So have fun! But seriously, there's almost no reason why not to buy this item used. I would not pay more than $20 for it.

- This product could be a really great medium of art, but it's too cheap. For one, it has no flash, which forces you to look out for sunny days to use it. Secondly, it broke on me during my second role of film. Not too surprising, being that it is made of cheap plastic. Invest in a lomo camera with a flash and durability.
- I was so excited for this camera but it broke right away (30 secs after opening it) and I have experience with cameras. I think it is just badly made. My 80's camera made out of plastic lasted a long time but this is cheap plastic. I loaded the camera and it would not advance and I was careful. This would have been so much fun. But I will just take tons of pictures with my old SLR camera and work with that.
- Other than being a little wary of its toy-like plastic and the lack of flash, I have no complaints about this camera. I highly recommend it to anyone who is into experimentation and is willing to try different things. I've had results ranging from "What on earth is that burry mess repeated 8 times?" to beautiful scenes I never expected to come out of this ugly red brick.
- I bought this camera brand new in a retail box. First roll of film and it is already struggling mightily to work. The teeth slip off the roll because the flimsy gears are not strong enough to even pull the roll. I finally figured out after wasting a few frames a way to carefully advance the film without the gears letting go. This product is made at a level of a claw-machine toy. There is flat out no excuse for the Lomo company to charge $40 for this item. I totally respect what they have done for the Lomo movement and everything but this is not the way to do it. This product will alienate people from the movement; it is that bad. Go ahead and buy it and you will see what I am talking about. Save your money and buy a genuine Lomo antique from an online auction site.
- I gotta say, this company sure does great marketing... but their products aren't that good. I have this camera, and only 7 of the lenses ever work. Most of the time it is one lens thats broken, but mysteriously, sometimes it will fire while another one won't open. That would all be fine, except for the lens itself is complete garbage. The images are dull and a little blurred. Yes I used it in bright sunlight. Yes, the lens just sucks. Also, the exposures completely vary between lenses, so some frames are blown out, while others are underexposed.
Seems like a fun idea, ultimately a waste of time and money.

5 comments about Lomographic Colorsplash Flash for 35MM Cameras.
- There is a difference between basic functionality and cheaply made. Lomography is all about the former but some manufacturers, including thos ewho make the Colorsplash seem to think it infers the latter. However,if you want a cheap, poorly designed flash Colorsplash flash will fill the bill.
The poor quality and design quickly become apparent - the internal colored lenses aren't fixed in place and detach easily. I was forced to take mine apart to repair it two days out of the box. There is only one slot for adding one of the extra plastic color gel filters - the rest are internal. Add to that the charge time is similar to that found in throwaway cameras and the drain on the battery is significant - resulting in even slower charge times.
One would be better off spending a bit more and purchasing a standard flash attachment especially if you are going to be doing a lot of flash photography - many of these hot-shoe flashes come with hard plastic color lenses. The other option is to use color filters. There is a filter adapter and color filter set available for the Holga that is less expensive than the Colorsplash.
The bottom line is if you want reliablity and durabilty, look elsewhere.
- This is definitely something to have for fun. It fits the standard hot shoe so you can use it on most cameras. however, you won't get much of an effect when you use it on digital cameras--it only washes out the image, and depending on what color you use, you can't exactly tell you used anything different. It's really intended for 35mm film. Other than that, I love the little guy.
- I'd seen someone on Flickr that had recently gotten one for their D200 and looking at the results raised my interest. The price is what cinched it for me and after using it a fair bit today, I was delighted. It looks a bit weird on my D200, but it works great, on camera or off.
It's one of the most fun photographic tools I've ever laid my hands on, not to mention one of the most inexpensive. The cost:fun ratio is very much in its favor - get one, you won't be disappointed.
- Don't forget you can use this thing on any DSLR or film SLR witha hotshoe or with a synch adapter. You can also put a standard camera on 'bulb' and fire the flash manually using a bunch of different colors. Just reduce the aperture say 4 stops and fire the flash five or six times in different locations and different colors. Since you can see your results on the screen it's a really powerful little addition to picture taking. Also don't forget you can just use a slave trigger to make the thing light up a backdrop or use it as a hair highlight on a flash stand along with more traditional studio flash units. Yeah - it's no different from a colored gel on a studio flash unit, but it is more portable and it's cheap enough to tape on a stick on location where studio lights are out of the question.
- I just got this, and it's too much fun. I don't own a Lomo, but I'm using it on my Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras.
I do recommend that you remove the battery when stowing it in your bag - it's too easy to turn off and on. Other than that it's a neat toy for the $25 I paid.

- Its incredibly fun to shoot with this little thing, it feels really cheap, and is really cheap, yet its worth the money. Just be very delicate with the flash wheel when turning it and definitely don't let it drop as this results in instant death of the camera. The flash filters vary in intensity (red is too bright, blue hardly does anything) but this camera definitely flourishes at nighttime. Its really cool doing a long exposure with a flash at the end, there are plenty of cool tricks you can do with this camera that you can't do with others. I think the main strong point of this camera is that the flash goes off at the end of the shot rather than at the beginning, plus the colors make any shot interesting. Here are some samples I've taken with it.
[...]
- cool camera but i don't see why it has to be so expensive. You're pretty much paying for the color filters and a funky shaped camera. ah lomo, you're so greedy.
- The camera takes cool pictures and is fun to mess around with but it's just a little cheap. I think that they should take more time to make a better quality camera, not one that you are scared to touch for fear of it breaking. All that aside, again this camera does take fun pictures that turn out well.
- easy for anyone to use and it takes the coolest pictures. you might only get excited by half your roll but once you get the hang of it, you'll know what makes the best pictures. tip: turn the color flash between two colors to get a mix
- This is my third lomo camera and surely not my last.I liked the retro appeal of it and when is color ever a bad thing, right?it comes with its own camera and batteries and also some color filter, though some of the filters are the same just a shade different. The only things i don't like about this camera is that you can only have 4 colors on the color wheel,2 of which you can't change and also if you want a filter over the lens itself, then you have to tape it on which is kind of ghetto. The film advancer wheel is also annoying because it's hard to turn and hurts your finger.Overall the pictures come out really good but i prefer using it at night because of the effects you can create from surrounding lights.I recommend buying this camera as long as you can handle it's few annoying quirks.

5 comments about Lomography Action Sampler Flash 4-lens 35mm Film Camera.
- rewind knob snapped after a couple months of light use. otherwise, very fun camera.
- yeah, it's cheap. you can't be rough with it, but you really shouldn't be rough with any camera. unique, fun pictures. no complaints.
- Okay, let's be clear about something. The Action Sampler is not a Lomo despite it's being sold and branded by Lomography.com. It IS a toy camera. What you get are 4 frames, each timed 1/200 of a second apart on one frame of 35mm film.
You do not get focus, ASA/ISO controls, shutter speed controls or anything other than a very basic light sensor that determines whether or not the flash fires and the flash itself which is supposedly synchronized to the shutter, although I'm not convinced that it actually is.
The four frames are cool but that's this camera's one trick. It's all it does. The optics are terrible quality. If you're old enough to remember the old Instamatic cameras with the 110 film cartridges and the terrible resolution they had, well, this will make you feel all dated and nostaligic.
That said, this camera is a blast. You can take pictures of movement but because the lenses all point in slightly different directions, it's you can shoot still images and get 4 very different photos to choose from. And if you like the lo-fi picture quality or the subtle Andy Warhol-esque look of your new 4 framed pictures and don't care too much about getting a really good picture, you'll have a wonderful time.
The lenses are focused at "infinity" meaning everything after a few feet is in in focus. Close-up/macro stuff is out of the question. As far as ASA/ISO, I use 1600 or 800 and have it pushed one stop in the lab (effectively making it 1600 with artifacts) or the pictures come out too dim in anything other than the brightest sunlight. That's right, indoor shooting or shooting in the shade is out unless you use really fast film, which also degrades the detail quality.
Like the Lomo LC-A and LC-A+, there is a little vignetting but this is not a Lomo and you shouldn't order one thinking that it is. The Lomo LC-A is it's own delightfully weird little camera and takes brilliant shots that put this little toy to shame. The action sampler is also about twice as big as a real Lomo.
Think of the Action Sampler as a great nearly disposable party/road trip camera. More fun to use with your friends than alone. If I lost mine, I am not certain if I would replace it but I have seriously considered buying a bunch and giving them out as stocking stuffers next holiday season.
This is a 2.5 star camera but I'm giving it a 3rd star because of how much fun it can be. Not a serious camera but a really fun toy.
- i like this camera alot. easy to use, very fun to play around with. you really do have to get close up on a subject in order to take some really cool shots...
lomography's website is pretty cool. you get to join in on they're photography society & share pics.
- My friend had purchased the action sampler before me and I was instantly entranced by it's sleek look so after reading a few of the reviews on here,I decided to order one for myself.I also had another lomo camera[the fish eye] and thought that since the pictures taken with that one came out pretty cool, the action sampler ones would too.Lomography did not fail me!The camera arrived on time in perfect condition and I started click click clicking away.It comes with a roll of 36 exposure film and its own batteries which was convenient.Unfortunately i only got half of my film from the first roll since an idiot in my class opened the back and exposed my film so make sure you don't make the same mistake I did.Overall the pictures came out really trippy and awesome! In most of them, each frame differs and even in those that don't,the final product is great.I would advise on always using the flash and though it says the closer you get the better, that's not true because unlike the fish eye if you get too close, the picture will be of just the person's cheek or w/e.I highly recommend this camera especially if you like pictures that are random and not just myspacey!

5 comments about Lomography Fisheye 35mm Camera.
- Great camera for fun little 35mm fisheye shots. Thing is on the first one I had the flash didn't work, but the Lomo folks def came through with support on that. The flash sometimes is blinded by how the lens sticks out form the body and casts a shadow. But good camera for the price!
- It's a neat little camera, and it takes pretty good pictures. Don't expect super high quality photos, but it's worth the money if you have fun with photography and want a little fisheye camera to play with. However, I did have to return it once because the flash broke on mine the first time, but the return was easy, and my new one works just fine!
- Camera is great. Love it. Wasted almost my whole first roll because I should of used the flash more. The lens doesn't seem to grab as much light as a regular lense, so use the flash often. Total user error though. Camera is awesome. Enjoy!
- For what it is it is darn amazing, if you want critical sharpness don't spend thirty dollars on a single exposure 35mm fisheye. Go Spend a thousand on a specific lens. Its great fun, a great travel camera.
- This camera is pretty fun to play with. I guess I had different expectations for how the the pictures would come out. But once I knew what to expect I had a lot of fun with it! When you get your prints back, the image is in a black circle. And if you're not careful, your feet may end up in the shot because of the lens being so wide! Also I got a few shots with the lens cap dangling in the way. So be mindful of your lens cap and your feet and just go to town!
