- Since receiving this camera, I've been completely attached to it. I've taken it everywhere I go, even to the gym. It came with easy instructions to re-use it and I'd also like to note that you don't HAVE to use the colored film over the flash. It easily slides out of the way in case you want photos without a blue tint. Very neat. I'm now ordering the Green one with Red and Yellow next on my list.
- i bought a red and blue one and the flash worked twice on the blue before it stopped and it won't even flash on my red one. the photos turned out granular and horrible. only about 3 turned out completely. i don't think that it's worth the money, you're much better off buying a regular disposable and putting a piece of blue plastic in front of the flash.
- I bought the yellow one a few weeks back and absolutely loved it! My pictures turned out great! While you can get the film developed at a Big Box Store, my advice is don't. While the pics you get back will have the yellow (or other color) tint, the color isn't as true as it would be if you went to a camera shop and had them develop the photos. It's a fun little camera and I recommend it for anyone who wants to take funky photos.

5 comments about Lomography Action Sampler Flash 4-lens 35mm Film Camera.
- i like this camera alot. easy to use, very fun to play around with. you really do have to get close up on a subject in order to take some really cool shots...
lomography's website is pretty cool. you get to join in on they're photography society & share pics.
- My friend had purchased the action sampler before me and I was instantly entranced by it's sleek look so after reading a few of the reviews on here,I decided to order one for myself.I also had another lomo camera[the fish eye] and thought that since the pictures taken with that one came out pretty cool, the action sampler ones would too.Lomography did not fail me!The camera arrived on time in perfect condition and I started click click clicking away.It comes with a roll of 36 exposure film and its own batteries which was convenient.Unfortunately i only got half of my film from the first roll since an idiot in my class opened the back and exposed my film so make sure you don't make the same mistake I did.Overall the pictures came out really trippy and awesome! In most of them, each frame differs and even in those that don't,the final product is great.I would advise on always using the flash and though it says the closer you get the better, that's not true because unlike the fish eye if you get too close, the picture will be of just the person's cheek or w/e.I highly recommend this camera especially if you like pictures that are random and not just myspacey!
- This is a fun little camera, if you are shooting in daylight. Its fun to capture the frames of a fast moving object, but the intervals are almost too close together. Someone has to be running or jumping to get results you want.
The flash bothered me as well with this camera. I shot some with it at a small concert hall, I was maybe 8 ft. away from the performer, and the flash did not reach him. The shots I got with the flash were so dark, that facial features were un recognizable, and all that was seen was a little shine off the instruments, and the stage lights. I was shooting with ISO 400, so I expected to get a little more on the film.
If I had known these two things before, I probably wouldn't have purchased it. Go with a different lomo camera. I would.
- Excellent fun experience. First roll came out amazing, very fun to use but....
broke on second roll.
lomography has excellent customer support. so as long as you have patience buy it.
- I gave this as a gift and it was faulty and didn't work. Wouldn't recommend.

- this camera is great amazon is great so i recieved my camera pretty quickly and the camera is fun to use and takes awsome pictures
- I love the supersampler, the price was fantastic and it got to me quickly. That is everything I could want in a shopping experience
- I really enjoyed this camera, but after a few rolls the pull-string stopped retracting, and I had to retire it. Not terribly suprising, for a toy camera, but disappointing nonetheless.
- If you want to see what kind of photos this takes just check out flikr, there are whole groups dedicated to the supersampler. When you get your first roll of film back - you'll know why too. I adore this little camera - just be sure to tell the person at your local developer that the photos are supposed to look that way! :) (Oh- the camera company who makes these is also very nice. My first one arrived and the pull cord didn't work, they exchanged it for me for just the cost of the shipping with no trouble at all.)

- It is fun, it looks usual, it is cool...I get lots of fun in it. The only thing I'm gonna point out is the texture of the surface, too easy to get dirt on it, I bought 3 weeks ago, it already looks like I bought for 6 month. This is the only thing I feel it is not good.
- WTF!? This item went from $35 to $50 overnight!? Doesn't seem like it's worth more than $35 to me. From the reviews I've read it sounds like it's not the most reliable and well made camera, more of a fun novelty item. 50 bucks!!?? come on Amazon!! Looks like I'm gonna have to take it off the wish list for my birthday that's coming up...how dissapointing.
- This camera is so much fun! The quality is not that great but that's ok! it's a toy! The pictures come out so interesting! I suggest using a lot of natural light and a faster film speed. Btw, be careful of the pull that winds the film. The thing feels like it could snap and break. Other than that, an awesome alternative to photography.
- This little critter is a Blast! LOTS of fun. You will need to buy your film in five packs, it's that much fun to shoot with. Hopefully your SuperSampler will last through all five rolls! Mine died after only three rolls run through it. I sent it back to the Lomographic Folks and was pretty promptly sent a new one at no charge.
Nice Folks, Nice Camera. No Complaints.
Catalog under "insane fun" department and keep an eye out for a used one ($50 for the new ones, Ouch!).
Good Luck With Yours ... I carry mine with me on all trips.
- This camera is alot of fun and has yet to break on me [I am on my 3rd roll in it]. The rip cord to advance the film is a lot of fun, just be careful and it shouldnt break. I did not get too many shots out of my first roll b/c I thought inside lights were bright enough but no go. :/ With bright light though you get awesome shots [it really is different then just putting four separate shots next to each other].
I would have to say I really do love my Holga CFN though but this camera is such a different feel! Definitely worth having :)

5 comments about Lomography Holga 120 CFN Medium Format Camera with Color Flash.
- These camera's are great for enthusiasts! I gifted my roomate this one for christmas (as I already own one, and she borrows it from time to time). We are both photo majors, and it's easy to get swept up in new technology. Sometimes its benificial to go back to your roots ;)
- The camera is fine. Amazon service sucks. I tried several times to cancel this order because I found it cheaper on another site, and although your website says I can cacel anytime prior to shipment, it kept me in the never ending loop without giving me the ability to actually cancel it. You SUCK!
- My main point in writing this review is that you can get this camera for much, much cheaper by buying it used or elsewhere.
The Holga is fun and I know many people who swear by it. While I personally have never been extremely into lomography/"plastic fantastic" cameras, if you are this is a good camera and the advantage of using medium format film is wonderful. Also there are scores of websites that will tell you all the ways you can modify your Holga. So have fun! But seriously, there's almost no reason why not to buy this item used. I would not pay more than $20 for it.
- I've been seriously into photography since 1999. I've had a few pictures published in magazines and I've even had some embassies buy my work. There are days when my photography feels like work and kind of stresses me out. Well I've found my little fix for days like that. The Holga camera's are perfect for fun photography. My best personal photo's have come from a Holga and it was all when I was just flipping away and not worrying too much about the composition of the shot or the exposure. The color flash adds another spin to an already fun camera. I love to use the flash in the daytime up close to my subjects (The blue flash on the beach gives an awesome feel to a photo).
My only complaint is the hassle of loading and unloading the film and the cheap feel to it, but then again it's a 'toy' camera so I guess that's part of the experince.
I recomend this (more so with the 35mm version) to anyone just looking to bring fun back into their photography.
- Customer Service is great, got the package as expected. Great company to work with!

3 comments about Lomography Diana + 20mm Fisheye Lens (Black).
- Really great attachment for the Diana F+! I took some awesome funky photos with this. Really easy to attach on and off of camera. Neat pouch included for storage. Makes your Diana two cameras in one!
- I have a Canon EOS Rebel XSi, which has a crop-frame sensor on it. The 20mm fisheye looks great, has great softness and pretty glow around things, but unless you have a full-frame camera you won't see the super-strong vignetting you see in photos shot with a Diana. I'm gonna upgrade to a 7D one of these days so I'm gonna keep this in my regular rotation, but it's slightly disappointing. On my camera it's more like a very wide angle lens, but that's cool. Overall I'd recommend this as a dirt-cheap, very stylized fisheye lens.
- As usual, I tried to find a lot of information about using this on my Canon 40D, and unfortunately there isn't much out there. I found some samples but no in-depth reviews other than one from Wired magazine's website. Anyway, upon receiving it I was really disappointed. There isn't a magical, ethereal glow around everything like I thought there would be. Sure, it's super soft, but I was expecting even more softness I guess. Another thing I was bummed about was that I was assuming I'd get about a 35mm equivalent field of view on an APS-C camera, but it's actually closer to 50mm. The field of view is exactly the same as my 28mm prime, so something must be getting lost in the translation with the fisheye apect as opposed to being a standard rectilinear lens. It should be obvious that you won't get any vignetting and or edge blur because you're using a very small portion from the center of the lens on a APS-C. I can't speak for a full frame camera. After using the lens for a few days I was almost convinced that it wasn't focusing to infinity. Things further than 30 feet didn't just look soft, they actually looked out of focus. I still can't really tell. I modified the lens a bit to create a vignette by taking the front of the lens apart and placing an f/5.6 Lensbaby aperture disk behind the front element. Also, if you flip the front element backwards it will give you a weird edge blur effect while keeping the center in relative focus, but it was too much for me. I also drilled out the hole in the adapter to make it the same size opening as the rear element of the lens. It gives you about a stop more light and a little more blurriness. Overall, I'd say the effect of this lens is closer to a bad camera phone than a Diana, but after playing around with it and modifying it to my liking, I'm not regretting buying it anymore. I'm still not sure it's quite worth $50 (including the adapter that you need), but if you don't mind the price it's fun to play with.

5 comments about Lomography OKTOMAT Compact 35mm Camera with 8 Serial Lenses.
- I was so excited for this camera but it broke right away (30 secs after opening it) and I have experience with cameras. I think it is just badly made. My 80's camera made out of plastic lasted a long time but this is cheap plastic. I loaded the camera and it would not advance and I was careful. This would have been so much fun. But I will just take tons of pictures with my old SLR camera and work with that.
- Other than being a little wary of its toy-like plastic and the lack of flash, I have no complaints about this camera. I highly recommend it to anyone who is into experimentation and is willing to try different things. I've had results ranging from "What on earth is that burry mess repeated 8 times?" to beautiful scenes I never expected to come out of this ugly red brick.
- I bought this camera brand new in a retail box. First roll of film and it is already struggling mightily to work. The teeth slip off the roll because the flimsy gears are not strong enough to even pull the roll. I finally figured out after wasting a few frames a way to carefully advance the film without the gears letting go. This product is made at a level of a claw-machine toy. There is flat out no excuse for the Lomo company to charge $40 for this item. I totally respect what they have done for the Lomo movement and everything but this is not the way to do it. This product will alienate people from the movement; it is that bad. Go ahead and buy it and you will see what I am talking about. Save your money and buy a genuine Lomo antique from an online auction site.
- I gotta say, this company sure does great marketing... but their products aren't that good. I have this camera, and only 7 of the lenses ever work. Most of the time it is one lens thats broken, but mysteriously, sometimes it will fire while another one won't open. That would all be fine, except for the lens itself is complete garbage. The images are dull and a little blurred. Yes I used it in bright sunlight. Yes, the lens just sucks. Also, the exposures completely vary between lenses, so some frames are blown out, while others are underexposed.
Seems like a fun idea, ultimately a waste of time and money.
- This is my second purchase from the "toy camera" line and I must say - it's tons of fun, especially if you follow the lomographer's mantra and shoot from the hip. The Oktomat is a tough little camera -it bangs around in my purse everyday just in case I happen upon something interesting to photograph (or something uninteresting that I can photograph in an interesting way). I love the occasional light leaks and the slight dreamy blur of all the photos. This camera is not for the perfectionist - it's for the experimental crowd. And I agree with some other reviewers - the best photos are of moving objects.
Notes: The eight consecutive clacks really sound more like a grind, don't let this worry you. And there is a small black piece on the top of the camera - the film advance leaver should stay to the back of this, you may have to pop it back into place once in a while. All part of the low tech fun!

- excelente producto, ideal para fiestas, improvisación en fotografía, iluminación desde puntos realmente extraños, recomendable. plug and play, facil de usar, instrucciónes en español.
excelent product, ideal for party shots, photo improve, lightening from different angles. 100% plug and play, easy to use, fun and simple.
thanks lomo
- I have owned this flash for less than a year now and it just stopped working, I didn't even get to use it very much before it decided to die on me. I thought it was just the battery, but sadly that didn't fix it...I loved this flash so much because it is so exciting to get my pictures back and not knowing what to expect. I would honestly buy one again knowing that it is junky but I am going to save the warranty card next time...who knows when next time is going to be though. Actually before I buy another one I think I am going to try and take it apart and see if I can figure out how to fix it :/ idk :( I'm really bummed that my stupid flash doesnt work anymore, i really feel like i just threw away 20 bucks.
- I bought this flash as a replacement for one that broke a year ago. The color gel changing mechanism is very delicate and can get jammed easily. Also it would be better if you had the option to change more that 2 of the filters to colors of your choice, you're pretty much stuck with yellow and blue as half of your color choices.
That being said, this is a very fun flash to mess around with. Great for creating trippy multiple exposure effects.Goes great with any camera with an adjustable shutter speed, not just those with hotshoes.I reccomend this flash to any photographer, just be careful whith the color filter changing, and adjust the color wheel gently.
- I bought this to go with my lomography fisheye and holga cameras, and it's pretty cool . . . except you have to remove the flash from the hotshoe to wind the camera since it's so low-profile. I was also hoping to use it with my DSLR, but the guy at the camera store told me I could totally fry the camera that way, since this was made for a film camera. That might have been completely untrue, but after spending around eight hundred dollars for a camera, I'm not eager to take any chances.
I don't regret buying the flash, though. It works well with my film cameras, even if it does take a little more work between shots, and can be fired manually with a digital camera.
- i bought this flash to take some fun photos w/ my nikon d70. it fires a lot of flash so most photos can tend to get blown out w/ color. i recently put it on my holga120n + instant back, and even though the color film is meant for the brightest of days (fp 100c), this flash can ad some clarity w/ indoor shots. highly recommended for how inexpensive it is...

4 comments about Lomography 35mm 100/36 ISO Fine Color Negative Film - 3 Pack.
- If you want to get lomography film get at least an ISO speed of 400 or more. Most of my photos came out really fuzzy and kinda crappy. Maybe only a couple of photos came out ok, but the rest were just a mess. Nice film to experiment with but not for anything serious.
- This film is great. You mostly can only use it with natural day light, or a flash though because the speed is so low. BUT the good thing is that it is not grainy at all when exposed correctly. The colors are beautiful. I love this film.
- Hey guys, rather than complain and say, my pictures were crappy because of this crappy slow film, use a tripod. Great images aren't free. If you're shooting fast moving subjects, then you're using the wrong film for the job at hand.
Digital spoils us fast, I guess.
- This is wonderful film for a fish eye camera, but you need to make sure that you know what you're doing before you insert the film into a camera. I wish the instructions were a bit easier to follow. If you insert it before knowing what you're doing, you could end up rewinding the entire roll before you even use it. Make sure you know what you're doing first!

5 comments about Lomography Fisheye 35mm Camera.
- Out of curiosity I bought one of this camera which said that it has a 170 degree Optical-Glass Lens but it actually has a PLASTIC lens. I hope someone from Amazon will change the Technical Detail and Specification of the AD. This lens can be easily scratched so be very careful. In fact mine camera came with a clear scratch on the side of the front element. I felt that a $40 for this plastic camera is a bit expensive. The only big merit to this toy is its 170 degree lens and the kind of images you can take will cost you a few hundreds dollar more usually for a real optical Glass lens.
- Nice camera for fun snapshots... give a great fisheye effect. It's much cheaper than an actual fisheye lens for a digital camera, but about the same image quality as a disposable camera, so don't expect the sharp images that you'd get with a real nice camera. Maximum fisheye effect occurs real close to the subject (within a foot or so... but not too close as the subject will then become blurry), but you still can get a nice effect if you take pictures from further away (although if you get too far the object will become tiny or even invisible).
Be prepared to buy a lot of film and spend money getting them developed though (especially when you're first getting started and want to take some test pictures, as it's mostly luck how good the pictures turn out). I can say that they do improve with experience. You really do need to get used to the flash... it must be used while you are indoors, but it's a little bright so it might make the subject look blown-out. Best thing to do would be to cover the flash with something (like a napkin) to lessen its strength, or just to only use this camera outside on bright, sunny days.
A warning though, this camera is made of plastic... and after several uses, the knob to wind up the film (when you run out of exposures and want to remove the film from the camera) broke off on mine. The camera is still usable... but it's a pain taking the film out now.
One last thing I like about this product... you can buy the Lomography Fisheye Submarine Case (Clear/Red) to use this camera underwater, in which you can get some great shots.
- This is such a fun camera and I was so happy with the first roll of film I developed. I'll be honest, you have to experiment with the camera in order to get the optimal fisheye shot. It's obviously not as fantastic as a real fisheye lense on a (D)SLR but for $30, it beats having to buy a $800 camera and a $300+ lens. The majority of my college campus is built of bricks so pictures on campus are amazing. I love this camera!
- This is a camera to have fun. I'm waiting to finish the film, so i can see my pictures.
- The rewind mechanism broke on the second roll of film, rendering the camera useless, and I lost a roll of film in the process of figuring out what was wrong.
