1 comments about Lomography Diana Mini- 35mm Camera.
- RANT: I took three rolls the first day I got the camera and I LOVE the way my pictures came out. Yes, it's not digital and yes, you have to wait for your pictures to be developed *gasp*, but we live in a world with too much instant gratification and a little patience will do us all some good. I had a couple that came out like "normal" shots and they're are kind of a nice surprise. Overall, they have a lot of character and getting them to be in focus is tougher than other cameras I've used (also have a RICOH from the 1950's and a Mercury from the 1920's - that thing is a BEAST to use) but that's really the whole point, isn't it? We live in an imperfect world and 20 megapixel, perfectly framed, focused and color-corrected photos don't really represent most of our lives.
Live dangerously - go analog.
REVIEW: The camera is made of tough plastic and *feels* like a toy. It's as much of one as you want it to be. Take it as seriously as you take yourself and you'll be fine.
Loading film takes a little more patience and needs to be done SLOWLY to be sure the film advances correctly (see user pics above for a multi-exposure I accidentally took cause I didn't load the film right).
It's small enough to fit in an inside pocket of a jacket - if you don't mind the pocket being a little bulgy. The lens cap is not attached to the body, so be attentive when taking it off. I thought I lost it twice in the first day. Am currently formulating a DIY solution to attach it to the body.
Even though this is pictured with a flash IT DOES NOT COME WITH A FLASH. I was a little disappointed by this (should've read the description closer), but taking a few rolls w/no flash will give you the chance to understand how it exposes images. There are only two f-stops - Sunny & Cloudy. There are also 2 shutter settings - N & B. I don't know what the letters stand for, but N is automatic, B stays open as long as you hold the trigger. The shutter speed switch is easily bumped, so I've started checking it every time I'm taking a shot to be sure I know what position it's in.
It comes with a nifty book of photo missions, gallery pics, and instructions. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. They really do help. It was late in evening and I didn't have any film when I first got it so I couldn't play with it right out of the box; instead I read the instructions. I was glad I did. My first few rolls would've probably been trash otherwise.
If you are still unsure whether or not this is for you go to [...] and read up more. Their playful site is very informative and full of user pics.
Overall, the Diana Mini is a unique camera to use for people who are tired of using their phone for point-and-shoot "fun" photos. It will change the way you think about every day photography.

3 comments about Fujifilm INSTAX MINI Film Camera (Pink Trim).
- I've had a slight obsession with polaroid cameras for years now and have been wanting one for quite some time. I recently received this Fujifilm instax mini 7S instant camera with the pink trim and I was instantly OBSESSED with it. The pictures are an adorable credit card size and the quality really isn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination. Everywhere I take it people become infatuated with it and my pictures have all turned out great. It's very easy and fun to use. I would enthusiastically suggest it to anyone!
- my girlfriend really loves it, but the film was missing
it says on the paper that 10set of film is loaded with the camera
what happened??? but the camera itself is good

5 comments about Kodak MAX Water & Sport Single Use Camera.
- I work at a professional photofinishing lab, and I can attest to the quality of the film inside this camera. The Kodak Water & Sport camera provides excellent results both in and out of the water. It performs comparably to the Kodak HQ Max Versatility camera; it produces a high-quality image in most situations.
There is no flash on the camera (though using a flash underwater can produce unpredictable and sometimes undesirable effects), so do not plan on using it in low-light situations.
Film does not like to get wet, and accidentally dropping your camera in water could mean that all the pictures you just took are lost forever. So even if you don't plan on taking your camera physically underwater on your family boating expedition, you might still want to consider purchasing a Water & Sport camera as insurance against "splash damage".
If you need a flash, or if you plan to take pictures at depths greater than 50 feet, you'll need to consider a professional underwater camera or camera housing.
- I just used this camera for a dive in Mexico (my second dive, first attempt at underwater photo).
Although the camera has no flash, it worked perfectly fine at depths up to 12 meters. I guess the lack of flash can be a problem for some other locations or if outside is not a sunny day, but at least for Cancun this camera did the job perfectly.
The wheel that turns the film does a specific noise when the film is correctly positioned and ready for a new shot; this noise is different from when there are no more positions on camera, and the wheel turns continuously - so if you pay attention you'll know when the film is over, even if the position indicator may still show 1 or 2.
Yes, the pictures are grainy (I think it uses ISO800 film so this is expected), but they look "clean" when scaled down on computer at 800x600, and I think the prints will look acceptable, too.
The pictures will also show vignetting, but this is nothing unexpected for such fixed focus disposable camera lens.
Out of 27 positions, I got 20 pictures I consider good enough and "keepers". The picture turned out crisp - only 2 of them are motion blured. Try to stay still when taking pictures and you'll be fine. For best colors, take pictures of close divers/fishes (less than 1-2 meters away)...
We also used a non-disposable 35mm plastic camera with case and underwater casing, but the Kodak yielded better quality pictures.
As for the viewfinder, it is a bit harder to look through it with the googles on, but I got better framed pictures than with the non-disposable camera that had a "target" sistem.
If you want to spend only 10-20$ and don't plan investing more on underwater casing for digital cameras, this camera is a good choice.
I don't regret buying it.
- Nice camera and it takes great photos but it bugs me to buy disposable cameras when non-disposables aren't much more expensive. So why did I buy it? Because I left my non-disposable at home when we went on vacation! Not a bad little camera, though.
- You can't beat the $price! I just used it when I went snorkeling at the Bahamas. The pictures turned out deceit for an underwater camera. The only problem I found was pressing the 'shoot' button. It was quite awkward. Besides that-Great.
- We always bring a few of these with us when we go on warm weather vacations. They are perfect for taking snorkling and getting great photos underwater. You just need to be careful to use the sun as you light source and to shoot down, not up. The photos are a lot of fun - even just of people smiling two feet underwater! I would never use this out of the water - I'm sure the photos would be terrible. I prefer it to any other type of waterproof case, because I have zero worry about ruining my multi-hundred dollar digital camera. It is no fuss and lots of fun.

5 comments about Fujifilm Quick Snap Waterproof 35mm Single Use Camera (4 Pack).
- I used this at the beach with one of my friends during the summer. Taking photos were easy, and with the camera in the case, we were able to take pictures without worrying about the film, not to mention toss the camera around (or chase after it after getting buffeted by the waves- the camera floats)
When developing the photos, they came out slightly blurry (even the ones on the ground) and the colors seemed pale and washed out. While I haven't used film cameras in a while, I'm still positive that the color quality is much higher than what we achieved.
Then again, you get what you pay for- and it's not many digital cameras that you can take into an ocean and walk back out of it with your photos. For the price we paid, we're just glad we still have the memories.
- We purchased these for our gift bags for a wedding because we were going on a Caribbean Cruise. Everyone loved them.
- Easy to use, good clear pictures, results better than expected. We used them snorkling in Grand Cayman where the water was very clear. We took pictures at depths between the surface and 15 feet. The best pictures were taken when the sun was shining as it made it brighter under water. I was surprised how well the pictures came out even when pictures were taken when it was cloudy. The only thing that was a bit strange was that you don't hear a "click" sound when the picture is taken. You push the lever down until it stops and then wonder "did I actually get the picture?" or "what part of the picture did I get?" because we took a lot of motion pictures i.e. someone or fish swimming and wondered if the target was centered in the middle of the frame. Scenic pictures above the water came out very clear too. I would definately buy this brand again.
- I bought this before going shark diving in a cage in Australia. It worked perfectly. The photos came out clear and taking pictures was quick and easy. If you're looking for a low-cost solution to a few underwater shots, this does the trick.
- DON'T buy this camera from Amazon. (actually you can't anyways). We ordered this camera for our upcoming cruise. As time was tight we chose the more expensive purchasing option from Amazon.com as it was listed as "In Stock" and "available for PRIME Shipping". I ordered it with Prime Shipping for 2 day delivery. Well 2 days came and went and no camera. I went back to my original order and noticed that the estimated delivery date was a week in the future? How could this be if it was "In stock" and a ordered with 2 day shipping? I cancelled and re-orded with over night shipping. The estimated delivery date was STILL a week away! That is when I saw that the "ships and sold by Amazon.com" descprition I saw when I placed the order changed on the delivery notice to "Sold by MTA..". Talk about bait and switch.

5 comments about Holga 120N Medium Format Fixed Focus Camera with Lens.
- These cameras are very artistic and unpredictable(in a very good way). I get great results with them. They are fun and easy to use. You should deffinatly buy one if you are interested in photography. They are must have. And this company is the best. Overall a great camera for artistic photographers or students wanting to experiment with the camera.
- So much fun. Highly recommend this product especially for all photographers because these toy cameras are inexpensive and offer so much: blurry pics, light leaks, multiple exposures, oh my!!!
- This buy was one of the smartest decisions I've made. It's a great camera for stepping outside of the ordinary and expected. Every shot is an experiment in light, focus and personal style. I love my Holga and would greatly suggest one to a curious photographer, amateur or professional.
- I bought this camera to play around with in addition to my digital camera and am pleased with it thus far. It's a cheap quality camera so it feels like a toy more than a real camera when you are shooting pictures. It does have light leaks that can produce a unique vignetting effect or can completely wash out the photos. Because of this and the uniqueness of the manufacturing, it can come up with some pretty unpredictable results! If you don't like the effect, it's simple to tape up the sides of the camera. It can use 35 mm film if you adjust the insides a bit, but it usually uses a 120 medium format film. Depending on where you live, it might be hard to find a specialty photography shop to develop your film. It doesn't come with a flash, but this can be bought separately. You can't adjust the focus or the shutter speed either. Since you manually turn the film after each exposure, you can do a neat layering effect on each photo. You can also add color filters to try different effects. It's an interesting camera to experiment with. You won't be able to see the picture immediately after taking it, the same as any film camera. There are other medium format cameras that produce more reliable results, but I recommend this camera for beginners. Also, the picture quality can't compare with digital, but for as cheap as it is, it's worth it if you're interested in some fun pictures. I've only developed one roll of film so far and only three pictures turned out, so I'm not sure if it's the photo shop I went to or if I overexposed the film. They turned out pretty cool, though. They had a kind of pinhole camera quality.
- It's such a cute little/big camera, I want to say little but it's actually bigger than I thought it'd be. It's just so much fun taking pics with and I've found getting 120 film developed isn't as expensive as I once thought it'd be, it's actually cheaper to get done than 35mm depending on where you take it. For example WalMart's drop off service box can get ti done fair cheaply, while at the same time 35mm seems to cost quite a bit there. Either way this camera is loads fun and I can't wait for spring and summer to get to use it even more.

5 comments about Polaroid 600 Film Single Pack.
- It is close to impossible to get Polarooid film and i need it for work- thanks to you I got some;-)
- I got my non-photographic boyfriend a Polaroid camera last year for Christmas, and we found that he had undiscovered talent!
Since then, I have periodically bought him 3, 4, or 5 packs of film. This is the fastest I have ever gotten any of the film I ordered. He was able to take pictures on the weekend trip that I irresponsibly waited until the last minute to order film for. Thanks for making up for my short-comings!
- I'm guessing that the Polaroid film will make a comeback. I used to by this film at CVS for a lot less than $38.95.
I'm hoping it does make a comeback even though it was bought out.
- I was so excited to find this film because I went to numerous camera stores and could not find the film for my camera! Quick shipment too!
- Nada como una foto instantánea y el revelado de ésta frente a tus ojos... lástima que estén tan caras...

5 comments about Sanyo eneloop HR-4UTG-4BP - Battery 4 x AAA NiMH 800 mAh.
- I have been using these for several monthes now and these are absolutely wonderful batteries.
I do not use them heavily so they need to last for a longer period of time; and they do. I put a set in my camera in October (before a vacation) and did not change until 12/25/09(just because I didn't want them to go out during Christmas pictures). I had taken about 120 pictures at that point and they were still going.
I highly recommend this brand over the two major name brand rechargables (no contest).
- With all the battery driven items in our home, I have made the decision to go with recharageables in everything. Cameras, Remotes, Mouse(s), Electric Toothbrushes are constantly needing battery replacements. I have been using these batteries for almost a year in both AA and AAA sises. They come fully charged and seem to last a long time.
- I have used these batteries excessively for about 6 months. I use them with the turtle beach x31 wireless headphones for gaming. I recharge every 3 days because i use a lot and there has been no degradation of quality or life so far.
- Best rechargeable AA batteries. I have used a couple different energizer rechargeables and some other brand. These are far better than any other AA I have used. Need to buy some more.
- I'm very pleased with these batteries. They came pre-charged, I put them straight into a device and haven't needed to charge them yet! Highly recommended.

5 comments about Fujfiilm Instax MINI 7s White Instant Film Camera.
- Apparently I didn't read the reviews when I ordered this product & the "recommended" film because I too ordered the wrong film (which by the way states on it's package that it can be used for the "FUJIFILM INSTAX CAMERA ONLY". Why there are two different Fuji Film Instax cameras is besides me...they should have made ONE with the option of using different size films. Duh!
I've already opened my film package because I had NO CLUE there was a difference. Now what?
So very, very disappointing Amazon.
- This little baby is dynamite. Very cool design. Lots of fun to use, and the pictures are quite nice. The format (size) of the pictures is very unique and become a conversation topic. Having grown up in the age of Polaroids, this is a nice comeback.
The downside is the the film is quite expensive (as instant film has always been), a little over $1 a shot.
As an aside, I posted comments in OCTOBER on this product and said that the film recommended was not the correct size and appeared to be as yet unavailable from Amazon. Where did that go? It could have saved many irritating and disappointing moments for customers, many of whom wrote in the recent weeks to complain about this exact issue!
- After carrying a classic Polaroid around for years, I was sadden to see the end of Polaroid film production. I bought this camera in hopes of reviving the spontaneity of instant pictures and have found it to be quite a disappointment. The color and focus quality are nice, but the pictures are unreasonably small. I also think the camera and film are far to expensive for what the product does. If you miss Polaroid and want another fantastic instant camera, sorry, but you aren't going to find that here.
- this really is a great camera, the instant photo quality is pretty clear and the cost of the film is just about the same as polaroid was when they were making those. The camera is pretty big though but i think this can be expected of most instant type cameras.
- I ordered the Camera on the 8th at night, I receieve it yesterday on the 11th, and didn't pay extra for shipping. LOVE AMAZON! Got the Camera and was a little worried but followed the directions and was taking photos all night! I love it! And it was so cheap on Amazon compared to other sites. THANK YOU AMAZON!
