1. If you want to take horrible, grainy pictures with poor color quality and a lot of "noise" in the dark areas of the picture, then this is the camera to get. I am so, so sorry the clerk at Best Buy recommended this Kodak M883 camera to me, it is terrible! Obviously, there was a contest or something going on as there is NO WAY anyone would want to trust their pictures with this camera! It is WORSE than my older digital camera from which I was trying to upgrade. I am sorry I bought it! Off to eBay it goes, or better yet, the town dump!



2. My son has is quite happy with his Kodak M753 and the picture quality of it. Because of his recommendations I bought the M883 due to wanting a small camera that would fit into a shirt pocket. I didn't want a bulky camera that would be a chore to carry. The Easyshare software as the name implies is very to install and use, it installed with no problems whatsoever. After installing it, I checked for software updates and the update installed with no problems. After the battery charged the first time, I went to the Kodak support site to see if there was a firmware update. The firmware update was easy to install too. The M883 takes very nice pictures and is a good value. It is not a $1000 DSLR camera so don't compare picture quality to an expensive DSLR camera.



3. This camera is really amazing!!! It takes great quality pictures (HD) and is super easy to use. It comes with really great software and you can even crop and edit your pictures on the camera. I am extremely happy with it and strongly recommend this camera for everyday use.



4. HAD to buy this during a 5 minute-rush-stop on-tour in China (Casio Exilim EX-S600 was stollen) and no other 'budget' choices (PAID US$200!-). The picture quality is good-very good however the shutter speed is TERRIBLE with a major delay.... hence pre-guessing the shutter 'iginition' on a moving bus (this was NOT an issue with my beloved Exilim). The Battery Life was not long (charged daily) vs. Exilim EX-S600 (charge held 2-3days)with same use.
   I used my NEW Exilim EX-Z80 to download my photos as the Kodak Supplied Disk did not work....
   Pro: The 'joy stick' makes deleting photos easy!



5. I loved the last Kodak easyshare I purchased -- it was intuitive and easy to use and took great pictures without much effort. I was excited to see the m883 come out, because I wanted to upgrade to something sleeker and slimmer, and it had one of the largest LCD screens out there so I could actually share the pictures still on the camera without breaking out a magnifying glass. I still like the fact that I can easily slip it into my pocket, but I get very annoyed trying to take pictures of my young daughter with it, because it takes FOREVER for a picture to process and the shutter speed is really slow. I have to use the Sports setting to have any chance of getting a non-blurry picture, and if I want to capture a smile or cute expression I pretty much have to use the "burst" option. It's also quite difficult to hold the camera steady because it is so light and thin, a side effect I had not anticipated.
   
   On the pro side, the controls are very easy to use and the menus and tools are as intuitive as always. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of video it can take. But overall I think Kodak let me down on this one -- which is really sad because I had high hopes for this camera.
   
   As an aside, I also have to say that I am not pleased with the new version of the Easyshare software either. I recommend downloading Picasa2 from google instead -- it's free and much, much easier to use.

1. I've owned two of these cameras in two years. They take great pictures. There is however, a Serious Problem with Dust getting inside the Camera. This dust causes severe spots on the Images. The Only Recourse is to send to Sony for cleaning which can can cost about $150 or more. I'm now in the market for yet another camera; the Spots are really getting bad now. Even though I love the pictures on my Cybershot, I will choose a different camera. I've been burned twice.



2. I have had this camera for over 3 years and have been pretty happy with it overall. I have not taken any time to figure out anything tricky with it, just point and shoot! This little camera has been all over the place with my family and we have taken some great photos with it. The only reason I am in the market for a new camera is because I would like to upgrade to the Image Stabilization feature.



3. I had purchased my Sony DSC-W5 in 2005, the pictures are razor sharp, the built in audio / video are great , the camera has a well built feel, not cheap and plasticy like a lot of cameras on the market. Since this has been out for approx 3 years now, most of todays cameras are much smaller, but i dont care too much for micro-electronics. Bottom line, great camera

1. I was looking to replace my worn out panasonic battery that came with my camcorder and found this one. This battery works great with my camcorder and is compatible with the original panasonic charger as well. It lasts way longer than the original panasonic battery. Overall great battery.



2. Heck, *if* you could find an OEM battery for a 6 year old camcorder, it would cost you half the price of a new camera... This is a fine alternative, it does the trick for a good price.



3. I bought this as a back-up battery to help film a wedding, but I quickly discovered that this battery works even better than the original Panasonic battery that came with my camera. Of course, this has a higher mA rating than the original, so a longer life is to be expected. I normally opt for the brand-name batteries, but I completely urge anyone to buy this instead of the brand-name and you'll save lots of money too!
   
   I saw reviews that said it didn't work for them, but I had no problems. Just make sure your Panasonic battery is a CGR-D220 or CGR-D16. It will say on the battery. If it's not one of those two Panasonic batteries, this won't work for you.

1. This battery did not fit properly in my Cyber Shot Digital Camera (DSC-S50) but it did fit nicely in my Sony Camcoder (TRV118). Really holds it's charge as I got a lot of time out of this battery. May even last longer then the Sony brand.
   Would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that it did not fit in my digital camera correctly. I had to use a knife to pull it out. Overall, I am satisfied.
