- This camera is awesome! I just wish the onboard memory was a bit larger... I can only shoot about 20 pics with the standard memory.
- I am on my second one of this exact model. The first did not last but 24 hours. Amazon was great and exchanged it with no problem and fast too. Canon said that this is a problem that can occur with this model (the LCD screen went black). They said they could diagnose it and fix it but the turn around time for Canon was much longer than what Amazon was able to do. I do like the camera. I am hoping that it lasts over time...only time will tell.
- Canon PowerShot SX100IS 8MP Digital Camera with 10...
I bought this camera for my Alaskan Cruise.
I had no trouble with it and it took clear pictures
including close ups. I would buy it again.
- I wanted a camera that would allow me to have an extended focal without spending a lot of money and the 10X power of the Powershot SX100 allows me to do that.
- Arkadaslar bu makineyi uzun bir arastirma sonucu aldim. ozellikle zoom u harika. bu aralar yogun oldugum icin tum ozelliklerini kullanamadim ama kitapcigini okudugumda kesinlikle verdigim parayi hakettigini anladim.

5 comments about Canon EOS 5D 12.8 MP Digital SLR Camera with EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens.
- I just purchased the Canon 5D, the price finally came down to the point that I could afford, I have been waiting years for this camera, read every review on the Web, I really wanted that full frame sensor.
I also own the Canon 40D which is also an excellent camera as far as frames per second, but has some issues that really bothered me, the biggest was that it did not focus well indoors unless there was plenty of light, considering the cost I expected more. The 40D has many bells and whistles such as live view which I never really used and a solid body that feels and look good.
The first thing I tested with the 5D was its focusing ability in low light, it does a great job focusing fast every time, as a matter of fact I couldn't get it not to focus even in the darkest room, this was very important to me.
The camera body also has a a nice feel in the sense that it will probably be the first DSLR that I will not have to buy the battery grip for, it just feels comfortable in your hands.
It is great to have my lenses actually reflect the focal lenghts as listed in the lens.
The 5D produces noticeablly sharper pictures then any DSLR I have ever owned.
I know that there will probably be a replacement before the end of the year for the 5D but it will probably be too expensive, so anyone wanting a full frame camera should probably buy the 5D now, you won't regret it.
- I really like this camera. Its easy to use and for those who want to just point and shot you can, Its pretty smart that way but I prefer to set my own white balance. I love this camera! I cant say enough good things about it. The 2 draw backs I have found are the sensor I would like a self cleaning sensor, and the weather proofing could be just a tad better. I am new to the world of big cameras. So maybe I'm being picky, and so far the 2 drops of water I have gotten on the camera haven't hurt it. But it did scare me to death. The EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens I got with the camera is a fantastic lens. I call it my walk around lens It does people, scenery, pets, all of it. I like it, its on the camera 99% of the time.
- I am a pro photographer that has been using the 20 and 40d. The full frame sensor opened up a new world for my photography and lenses. I am especially impressed with the detail I'm getting out of the shadows in my images.
- Probably like most people that are waiting for that "phantom" 5d MKII, I couldn't wait no more. The rebate pushed me over the edge. I'm glad I took the plunge. This camera rocks! I'm so glad I upgraded. I'm sure the next version is gonna have all the bells and whistles, but this has become a legendary camera. Everyone has already gone over the specs and likes and dislikes. I just want to say anyone waiting for the new version and wondering if they got this, would they be happy......be assured you will be VERY happy.
- What can you say? World class camera, phenomenal lens? Best of the Canon series ever? Everything and more?
Only question is obvious, workhorse camera that has been issued for several years now. What will be it's replacement? Hard to believe there will be a better performing camera for the dollar value. As to the lens: it far exceeds many other in the EF line and is well worth the investment.

- This camera is one of the best price-performance ratio in the Canon Powershot line. It has more-than-sufficient 8 mega pixels and the image stablilizer and face recognition features and has a decent speed when capturing pictures. Even though you buy the camera based on the features and the price, the color of the body (mine is pink and the wife likes it since no one will want to borrow her camera again) makes it very unique and cute and makes it different among the common metallic gray color of the millions of cameras. On the improvement side, it will be better if this camera has a larger screen size even if sacrificing the viewfinder then it is still more desirable. The SD1100IS is highly recommmended.
- The pictures and short video are awesome.
The pictures of our new baby girl are just beautiful.
- This is my second canon elph, I gave my old one to my daughter.I went swimming with the first one by accident. It worked fine after I let it dry out for 3 days. Very durable and well made. You cant go wrong with this camera in my experience.
- Outstanding product, the camera features seem to be unlimited, buy it after you do your product research since the market is flooded with cameras. It is VERY SMALL, this is not an issue for me, it fits in a pocket with room left over. The manual is clearly written, step by step (no steps left out- very good in all examples)the only issues and it's minor, is the small print of the manual.
I love mine, bought the 8gig upgrade memory card, well worth it, allows you to take lots of pictures at the 8meg photo setting, before having to download the pictures. The camera case I bought was not that good, the magnet case lock does not work very well, but a rubber band around the case solved the issue. I do a lot of backpacking and bending over causing the flap to come undone.
- this camera has so many options to experiment with and takes pictures with simplicity. i took over 250 pictures on one battery charge, did alot of other functions and took pictures that i deleted later. since being my first camera i wanted to try everything :D i am very pleased (except that i haven't figured out how to do "color swap").

5 comments about Canon PowerShot SD1000 7.1MP Digital Elph Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Silver).
- I purchased this camera based on the positive reviews it and other similar Canons have received on this and many other websites, and because I have several friends who own either an SD1000 or SD750. We also use the SD750 at my office for structural inspections and it's a great camera. It's been several years since I've purchased a camera - our old Sony Cybershot has been a very good one, but at 3.2MP it's not going to cut it anymore. When it comes to electronics, I've always been a Sony person in the past, so I was a little skeptical at first. But the reviews don't lie, and this camera has lived up to it's good name thus far.
I'm not a photographer. I just want to be able to pick up a camera and take quality pictures of my family whenever it's convenient, and the SD1000 has been a great purchase. I had a hard time deciding between the SD750 and SD1000 - it looks like the only difference is the size of the LCD screen (the 750 has a 3" screen but no viewfinder, and is slightly larger overall)- but I went with the 1000 because I wanted a viewfinder. Our last camera's LCD screen cracked in the middle of a Disney World trip, but we were still able to take photos by looking through the viewfinder.
Overall, I highly reccomend this camera for anyone who wants to take great photos without a lot of fuss.
- This is my third digital camera and by far the most compact and easiest to use of all my previous cameras -- including the point and shoot box cameras of my youth as well as more advanced SLR cameras with interchangeable lenses and the two earlier digital cameras. The instructions are detailed but understandable It actually does fit in a shirt pocket since it is no bigger than a deck of playing cards. I particularly like its battery pack with supplied charger.
- I recently purchased this camera after I dropped my other one and bent/broke the lense while extended. I'm a wildland firefighter and this thing lives in my pocket 24/7 while on fires. So it gets it's fair share of abuse and it takes it. I bought an Otter Box and with a small amount of added padding it protects it very well while not adding too much bulk. It takes great pictures for my intended purpose.
- It's with me every where I go. Incredibly useful and great for capturing life's unexpected moments. It's by no means going to live up to more professional cameras, but as far as getting shots of my friends at a party or a great view is concerned it's tops.
Always with me in my bag or back pocket. Easy to navigate options as far as exposure/pixels/focus are concerned.
The only thing this camera isn't going to do for you is take super super detailed shots. If you're just looking for something to capture moments and great views, but don't want to worry about lugging around a huge item you're worried about breaking this is an amazing buy.
- Nice Camera with nice quality photos. I would suggest getting some sort of screen protector... Its worth the few dollars to prevent scratches. There is also a way that you can add software and added features to the camera. I would suggest this product to anyone.

5 comments about Canon Digital Rebel XSI 12MP Digital SLR Camera (Black Body Only).
- I previously owned the Canon Digital Rebel. I primarily upgraded to this camera for the additional pixels. Just in pixels alone, I effectively doubled my zoom rate, and it shows in bird closeups I've taken. Compared to my last camera, it's like trading in my 70-300 zoom on a 70-600 zoom. And picture quality is phenomenal, even when compared to the original Digital Rebel.
But the other enhancements to this camera make it worth buying even if it didn't sport a higher density CCD. I purchased an extra battery because the battery on the original Rebel ran down way too quickly and left me without a usable camera a few times. But I didn't need to. The battery on this model lasts forever. Maybe 10 times longer than the original!
This weekend I went on a bike ride with some friends. I was on vacation a couple of weeks ago and forgot to recharge the battery. I brought the extra along, but wanted to see how long the battery would last. I took a lot of pictures, then a friend of mine wanted to check out an image-stabilization lens I have. He spent an hour playing with the thing, taking more pictures and wasting battery power by testing out the image stabilization feature (something that normally uses a lot of juice). The battery still hasn't run down. I can't emphasize enough how bottomless the battery seems to me.
Having image-stabilization on the short lens was a nice feature. I didn't really need it because I use the zoom lens almost exclusively, but it's nice to know the feature's there if I ever do.
Focus with my 70-300 zoom lens is much faster as well. Where the old one took up to a second or so, the new one focuses instantly when there's enough light. Even when there isn't enough light for a fast focus, it's still many times faster than the original.
Something else that surprised and excited me: Using the Sport mode, I used to be able to take only 4 pictures in succession before the buffer filled up. With the new camera in the same mode, I can take a lot more pictures in the same amount of time. Instead of only 4 pictures before the buffer is filled, the shutter keeps clicking away forever. I can't imagine any action shot that will be too long for the amount of pictures this thing can take now. I was showing the camera off to my brother-in-law, and I took at least 20 pictures (maybe 30 or 40?) in rapid succession before the buffer became full and it slowed down.
This camera is truly awesome. The friend that was demoing it was trying to justify his previous purchase of a non-SLR. He said, "So this is more of a professional camera, huh?" I told him, "No--this is Canon's amateur line." And it is. But right now, I think it's better than their professional camera, which actually has 2 Megabits fewer pixels.
In the "easy" modes, the camera is a better photographer than I am. I'm no pro. But it would be nice to be able to choose when the flash is appropriate, or force a fill-flash when I want to.
Other bennies: The screen is larger and brighter, but you can lower its brightness to improve battery life (I keep it cranked up all the way--this thing has plenty of battery life as I've said).
Canon advertises that this thing will let you preview on the LCD now while focusing. If you want to buy this camera just because it's the only SLR you know of with that feature, don't. You might play with it for a couple of minutes, but you'll never use it to take actual pictures, because focus either doesn't work, or is excruciatingly slow. I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to turn this on, as well, and had to consult the manual.
There is another ease-of-use item I'd like to mention. You can turn off the flash in the easy modes if you want to. But you have to be in a creative mode to do it. I did that once, and it took me a long time to figure out how to turn the flash back on, because there's no menu item for it in the mode I was in (which was full-auto). I think it's idiotic that you can turn off the flash mode in full-auto from a creative mode, but not from the mode you're using.
All in all, I'm very glad I bought this camera.
- This might be a quality control issue but about 50% of my shots are out of focus. I have used a 350D for years and was planning to upgrade to 12 MP - but I am very disappointed. I am always using center point autofocus and have used several different lenses - Canon's 50mm/f1.8, the Canon 17-85mm IS, Sigma 10-20mm, Sigma 30mm/f1.4 - with all lenses there are focus issues in many many shots.
In addition, I can not attest to the low noise comments. I see lots of chroma noise even at ISO 400 which was never the case with my 8 MP 350D. This one is going back today - I guess Canon has serious quality control issues, though the noise issue can not be explained by that.
- I love this camera. I used to have an old Minolta XGM 35MM for many years and loved taking pictures so i decided to get back into photography and i waited for this ever since it was first announced by Canon. I got this and the 70-300 zoom and have been taking pictures everywhere. It takes fantastic pictures and make me look like a professional photographer. Now everyone I know, wants me to take pictures for them. The transaction was easy and happily uneventful. I received it on time and in fine condition. I received it from Ritz/Amazon. I am looking forward to taking classes so I can benefit from all the great features. I would highly recommend this if you have the dough!
- I owned the XTi before and was extremely satisfied with it. I'm sold to the XSi mainly because of the new Spot metering and 3" screen!! Live View is a plus but I only used it a couple of times.
People always compare the XSi to the 40D. Price w/ feature wise their prices are pretty much the same, but the main reason that I chose the XSi was the SMALL SIZE. For people with small hands like me the 40D is too wide and heavy. On the 40D I couldn't reach some of the inner buttons without taken my hand away from the grip.
The IS kit lens is an excellent start but the camera quickly out grown its resolution. I upgraded to a EF-S 17-55mm IS and am very happy (make sure to get a good dust-resistant copy).
- I ordered this camera body, a lens hood and a memory card from Amazon. I received everything in perfect condition, with no problems and on time. I was able to track each item online and the camera and memory card arrived a week ahead of schedule (even using the free, but slow, free delivery) and the hood arrived right on the scheduled day. Also, Amazon had the best prices, no sales tax and free delivery. You can save more than a few bucks if you're willing to wait a few days.

- Once right handed, I am now left-handed, due to a massive stroke that completely disabled my right hand and arm. The Canon SD-750 was the only digital camera I was able to find that I could use with my left hand. Perfect! What a blessing!
- I got this camera for mostly one reason. Posting videos on Youtube. Although this camera is not good for videos. You have to buy a 8gb memory card just to hold around ten minutes of video. Which costs a lot of money. Plus the picture on the video is horrible. you have to stay completely still just to make out faces. The pictures are also blurry. If you want to use a camera for videos more then pictures then get the Canon PowerShot SD1000 7.1MP Digital Elph.
- I have never had something delivered so fast. I ordered it Sunday and received it Wednesday with the fee shipping. My boss already had the camera and suggested I purchase it. Hers was so nice and the price was reasonable. I could have purchased a cheaper camera but wanted style and great quality so I paid more and it still wasn't expensive. Great Deal. I love Amazon!
- The big LCD screen is the seller for someone like me who needs reading glasses. Since this is my first digital camera, I feel a steep learning curve. But both the basic & more comprehensive guides are helping me make use of the many features.
- This is a great little camera. I highly recommend it. I bought it to replace an older digital made by a different company. Wow! They have really come a long way in the technology of these little jewels. Unlike older models, it turns on instantly, has a mega-huge display in the back that is brilliant as far as its colors and brightness goes. And it takes really great pictures and video too! I've been very impressed with the features as well -- so many! Unless you are a professional photographer or a hard-core hobbyist, this is the perfect camera for you. If you just want something you can stick in your pocket, carry in a backpack or purse, and have ready in a moments notice to take great pics, buy this camera.

- I bought this camera after having an older Kodak 4 mega pixel. I was happy with my Kodak other than it being dropped too many times. This little camera is well worth the $130! It takes awesome photos and has video as well! We didnt realize this when we bought it, so it was a nice bonus for us! It seems easy to understand and view photos. I would get this one again! I used it to take my daughter's 5 yr. photo and am happier with them than when I took her to a prof. photographer!
- Love this camera!! I had a Polaroid before and could not get near the quality of picture that this PowerShot takes!!!
Also great valve with being just over $100!!!
- Purchased this camera for my 7-yr-old granddaughter and she was up and shooting with minimal instruction. Wonderful screen, easy to use, small enough to carry just about anywhere, but very good quality photos despite its conservative price.
- I love this camera. It's smaller. It's basic settings are very easy to use. As you become more familiar, the advanced settings are really fun to play with. I love all the settings: aquarium, snow, portrait, sunset, etc. I am very happy with this purchase.
We did a lot of comparison shopping, and just couldn't get over how perfect this camera was to our needs. I highly recommend this over any other.
- The Canon A470 has a great price and great features. I like it better than the older model I had, an A85. The older had only 4mp, and appeared to have many more controls. The A470 takes only 2 AA batts, vs the 4 batts for the A85. I need a SIMPLE camera. The features for the price are tops.

- $345 for this camera from Toyzz when the MSRP is $199?!? I just bought this from Dell Home for $170 with free shipping. I wouldn't be telling you all this if it actually came from Amazon, because Amazon wouldn't mark it up like this.
I needed a small, pocketable camera to keep in my car when I don't feel like lugging around lenses and my DSLR. It's terrific.
- This is my fourth Canon camera and it is a good camera. However, the software that they provide to download the pictures is terrible. It is much worse than the software that came with every other Canon camera that I have purchased. I recommend buying a different Canon camera just for this reason.
- Great camera, good buy. Takes nice crisp pics and has no noticeable lag time. Easy tool for removing red eye. I agonized over which camera to get and am extremely happy with this one.
- Picked this as it was a Consumer Reports "Best Buy". I am super pleased with it. Easy to use, light and with a good grip. Especially like that I can zoom in on a picture already taken to make sure everyone looks good on a "people picture". Buy a larger memory straight away. Amazon did not offer it at the same time as I purchased the camera. Pity! Sale missed!
- This is a great camera. I have a Canon PowerShot A520 which I was very pleased with, but wanted more zoom and image stabilization for a forthcoming trip out west. This camera sure gives it to you. This is a great camera with many wonderful features. I took a lot of photos with it recently and they are outstanding. Highly recommended.
