1 comments about Pedal Cars: Chasing the Kidillac (Collectables).
- This is a big, beautiful, hardcover book that traces the history of the pedal car a.k.a. the "junenile auto". It is authored by a woman who married into the Garton Toy Company of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Garton was one of "the Big 4" in the manufacturing of pedal cars. The book begins with an introduction on pedal cars followed by a chapter on the Art of the Juvenile Automobile, highlighting the careers of the various designers and what inspired their designs. There are four chapters on each of the prominant pedal car manufacturers (Garton, Murray, Gendron, and AMF/BMC). And finally two chapters on collectors and collections. The last chapter contains a source page (publications, places, events, etc.) The text is interesting and informative, however, its the color photos (aprox. 550) that will make your mouth water. If I had to choose one book on pedal cars, this would be the one.

5 comments about Peanuts Collectibles: Identification & Value Guide.
- Wonderful and warm. Shows the heart and soul of Peanuts collecting. It's not just a price guide, it's a friend.
- This book was an big disappointment, and not as advertised. It only contains an small amount of information on Peanuts Collectibles. I would not recommend it.
- If you are looking for a single book that displays a wide variety of Peanuts Memorabilia, this is the one for you. I was surprised to see almost every item I've collected over the years presented in this book. The only downside that I found was the lack of space given for plush items, and toys. Nonetheless, you will not be disappointed.
- A wonderful 296 page book loaded with 2,700 great photos in full color. Packed with information on the characters, copyright data, selling your collection, Peanuts Collector Club. Covers all areas, including banks, books, cosmetics, display accessories, dolls, figurines, housewares, music boxes, seasonal, stationery, toys, and more. Contains year 2000 values. Plenty of text, in addition to the listings. A real treasure you'll enjoy reading and using often.
- Ten times better than the first, Andrea has put her true expertise into this perfect handbook for all the crazed fans of our favorite Beagle. So many beautiful pictures of Snoopy-Stuff. GOOD GRIEF I LOVED IT. Two enthusiastic paws up.

1 comments about International Dollhouses and Accessories, 1880s to 1980s (Schiffer Book for Collectors).
- This is a wonderful book. All dollhouse collector's would benefit by owning it. Not only is it a very lovely, informative, hardback book, it has beautiful pictures with discriptions of dollhouses and accessories. The layout is great, making it easy to find the item along with a price guide. Dian Zillner has written three previous dollhouse books and one on toy buildings (some have been co-authored by Patti Cooper). All of these books are a great asset to the dollhouse lover's library.

5 comments about Collector's Guide to Dolls of the 1960s and 1970s: Identification & Values, Vol. 1.
- I saw this book sticking out on a shelf in the library. Though I don't have a doll interest I decided to check it out. I've checked it out at least five times since then.
The book is so colorful and beautifully laid out. The woman has a sense of humor about the bizarre items of the past, some of which would never pass today like the doll Flatsy. Another item of this book was Growing Hair Cher where a person could make Cher's hair go up and down with a key. I've shown this to other people and it always manages to get a couple of laughs.
- This book is great. I am very pleased with it. It has lots of dolls to look at/look up. The dolls are catagorized by manufactorer but if you can't find your doll that way the index is extremely easy to use. It has helped me a lot in my doll collecting and it has also helped add some dolls to my want list. All in all wonderful book, worth buying.
- Cindy Sabulis' Dolls Of The 1960s And 1970s (162-5, pairs pages packed with color photos of the dolls and most often their boxes with identification tips and values ranges. This will prove an invaluable guide for any avid doll collector needing a complete reference to makers and dolls of these eras.
- Cindy has done it again - This is a FABULOUS guide to all those dolls we played with back then! Cindy has indexed this book by all of the popular (and not-so-popular) doll manufacturers in order by year of release. Everything is full color, with approximate secondary market values! Vinyl dolls from the 60's and 70's are rapidly growing in value on the collector's market and buyers have the BEST opportunity now to scour, ID and sell - this is one book you do not want to be without at doll shows! I enjoyed reacquainting myself with most all of the dolls displayed. Thanks, Cindy!
- This is a terrific book with tons of bright and detailed photos. Contains a lot of the popular dolls from this period- along with some that are not so popular (which is nice for identifying). Contains dolls such as Liddle Kiddles, Dolly Darling, Crissy, Flatsy, Playpal, Thumbelina, Barbie, Darcy, Tammy, and so many more. It is a pleasure to read so you will find yourself coming back to look at it even when you don't have a doll to identify.

1 comments about Matchbox: Official 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition.
- This book has incredible details about the business of Matchbox, its incarnations over the years, and its related companies. The production quality of the book itself is top-notch (for example, the photos jump right out at you), but there are some features that detract from what could have been the definitive coffee-table book on the subject.
There are some notable errors in the photo captions, and some photos are re-run on the same or neighboring pages. The book identifies "rare" color schemes for the models, but inaccuracies makes one wonder about the credibility of those assessments (examples of glaring errors: reversing the identifications of the Iso Grifo and the Ford GT, or showing regular wheel vehicles from the mid-1960s under the caption of "Superfast" vehicles, which did not come around until 1969). At times the photos are shown on page after page with no real connection to each other. In that respect, the book lacks basic organization of the photo content (although the informative articles are arranged chronologically).
This is not a price guide, nor is it a comprehensive listing of the multitude of Matchbox products over the 50 years covered by the book.
I suspect the typical customers of this high-end book will be devout Matchbox collectors. They may not perceive this as the valuable half-century compilation the publishers had probably hoped for.
