2 comments about Encyclo-Beanie-A: Ultimate Guide (Collect and Learn).
- This is a good book. I personally think it is fun because when I was little I got to be in the short clip with all the kids talking about their beanie babies. It was a lot of fun for me, I still have the weiner dog part of the set!!
- That was my reaction after I took a glimpse at the cover of Encyclo-Beanie-a. The cover is just the icing on the cake, this amazing book is the best beanie book out there. Everything is great about it-- the pictures, content, presentation! A MUST HAVE for any beanie collector!

5 comments about Peef the 9" Christmas Bear.
- The book is great. My son loved it. Sadly though, it was ordered with the guarantee that it would arrive before Christmas, and it showed up on the 26th. Amazon has been non-responsive and has ignored my correspondence (e-mail & snail mail). So, I would recomend buying the book, just not through Amazon.
- This book is magical for kids - I just bought a second one to make sure both of my sons have this book when they are grown and have their own children. The story is about Peef - a bear that Santa makes by hand. Peef is Santa's right-hand "bear", but really longs to be given as a gift to a boy or girl, but he just can't bring himself to tell Santa. Santa figures it out and decides to give him to a child on Christmas Eve. Great lesson about love. Definitely buy the stuffed Peef they sell with the books and then place it in bed with your child Christmas Eve. After the kids have read the book several times leading up to Christmas, and then wake up to Peef on Christmas morning, they feel so special. They believe Santa decided they were the one who was special enough to receive his special bear.
- I am so looking forward to reading this to my kids! It really is a cute book.
- The book is a great story and even better when you hear the author read it the way he wrote it. It is a great story about Santa making a friend and eventually giving his friend away to a little child.
- Santa is up to something! He's asked all of his elves to pick out their favorite fabric and bring it to him. Just what is Santa doing? Why he's making a multi-colored Christmas Bear, that when the final stitch is completed and with a push from Santa's finger, the bear speaks his own name...Peef.
Peef is an important bear. He is Santa's chief assistant and dearly loves Santa. But what Peef really wants is to belong to and bring happiness to a special child. That doesn't seem to be Peef's fate until one Christmas Eve when Santa is one toy short. Peef's dream is realized as he is left behind to bring one special child great happiness.
This is a wonderful Christmas story! It wraps up the gift of love, sacrifice and the sense of belonging all in one little bear. The illustrations are spectacular and will draw children and adults alike into the story.
Armchair Interviews says: This book, first introduced in 1995, is sure to become a classic and treasured by all children everywhere who dream of loving that special bear.

3 comments about Heartfelt Stories About Beanie Babies(R) and Those Who Collect Them.
- I figured this book had to be a gag. But, no, it is a serious book! What next?
- Heartfelt Stories About Beanie Babies And Those Who Collect Them is a wonderfully engaging anthology of almost two hundred stories about Beanie Babies collectors ranging in age from 9 to 79. Readers will be amazed at how Beanie Babies have been used by motivating coaches, teachers, counselors, nurses, and even matchmakers. This memorable and unique compendium of true stories of Beanie Babies collectors including the mother who found a way to face the trauma of chemotherapy; the nine-year-old boy who started a mission to help the homeless, the dying father who discovered a reason to smile, the long-standing friendship that transformed into love and marriage, and many more diverse and heartfelt stories. These stories are as much to be valued and appreciated as the Beanie Babies themselves.
- Heartfelt Stories About Beanie Babies and Those Who Collect Them
Heartfelt Stories warms the hearts and souls of its readers. It's a "collection" of stories from "collectors" of beanie babies, people young and old from all walks of life, who help remind us through their tales that it is the small things that come in little packages that have a biggest impact on peoples' quality of life. Some stories are sad, some are funny, some are nail biting, some are hip, some are quirky, all are inspirational. It's a true page-turner, one to enjoy during the comfort of your own private time or to share with your children as bedtime stories. What I really loved about this book too is that it illustrates how beanie babies became the phenomenon that they are today and will be for years to come. It amazed me when I'd be driving past a store that was expecting a shipment of beanie babies and there'd be a line a mile long of people waiting to be the first inside. I don't have children of my own so I never had the occasion to purchase a beanie baby. Or so I thought. After read ing Heartfelt Stories, I came to understand why people love them so much. The good news is I may not have beanie babies, but I have Heartfelt Stories, so in some way, I feel connected to the phenomenon and to the magic. I hope Pamela Knapp writes a second edition. I'd ask to be a contributor this time. I'd tell her about the time I was coming home from a business trip and my flight was delayed for three hours. I sat in the gate next to these two little sisters who filled their world for three hours playing with their beanie babies. That was two years before Heartfelt Stories came out. But I remember at that time wishing I was young again and being so creative. See, beanie babies do that to you. They pull at your heartstrings and make you reflect why it's so great to be alive.

5 comments about Collectors Value Guide Ty Beanie Babies: Collector Handbook and Price Guide Winter 1999 (Collector's Value Guide Ty Beanie Babies).
- this book is not good at all.it only contains info about 1999 beanie babies. dont waste your money on this book. you can look up an online price guide on the computer and find the value of your beanies.
- This book is nicely done, and has excellent photographs of Beanie Babies. The book is for Winter of 1999. It lacks many of the current Beanie Babies that are on sale now and is outdated. If you need to be kept current this is not the book to use. The current monthly magazines are the best buy for your money.
- The cover says Winter 1999 Edition, but the book is 1998 information. It has 40 beanie babies that were listed in the Summer 1999 edition missing, and it only lists the first 9 Beanie Buddies instead of 28. I feel I really got cheated.
- This series of books becomes outdated very quickly (every time Ty releases or retires beanies).
- this guide is great, it helped me understand beanies when i got started, now i have all but 3 beanies!!!!!!

5 comments about Ty Beanie Babies: Collector Handbook and Price Guide : Winter 2002 (Collector's Value Guide).
- When We ordered the book, It was suppose to ship within 3-5 business days, however after 4-months we still did not recieve it, everytime We called They would say "give it another week" So We were forced to get a refund, and that took another Month to recieve!! The least they could have done was just tell us they didn't have the book to sell, In 5-Months they never called us once, if we didn't call them, We would still be waiting with no response, altho they had our money from day one!
- I was so upset when I recieved the book in the mail.Unless the book is wrong, beanie babies are going out of style. The bears prices have dropped anywhere between 10$ and 60$.It starting to scare me,I'm wondering if I made a bad investment!?
- I ordered my book and everyday i go online to see if it has been shipped and it hasn't. I think i will have to try somewhere else!
- I am still waiting for this book also and now the spring beanies are here!
- I ordered this on October 18th and have yet to receive it.....all I have been told is that they haven't gotten shipment yet. Though I can get it in 5 days at a local book store and pay more which I am not willing to do......

2 comments about Miller's: Soft Toys: A Collector's Guide (Miller's Collector's Guides).
- This is mainly towards the high end soft toy collector. Very good book, too small, too little information but packs a punch!
- This new Miller's Guide is a very special one. Leyla Maniera and David Agnew present a various range of soft toys, classified in several chapters as animals, disney characters, comic characters, oddities, manufacterers, care & restoration. Many of the described toys are very unusual and you won't know many of them from other collector's guides. Beside nice photos, the descriptions contains informations about the manufacter, the history of origin and a valuation. This is the only point I would like to criticize: the valuations are not very helpful.
But summing up, it may be said that this soft toy guide is highly recommended!
