  1. The Boyds Bear Collection Software works well, but I do have some problems with the print out. The pictures are some times just all black.

5 comments about The Book of Beanie Babies: A System for Cataloging and Collecting Beanie Babies.

  1. I blew every last penny of my life-savings on this godforsaken fad. To add insult upon injury, I bought this book hoping it would rescue me from my lonely world of debt and failed marriages. Boy, was I wrong. Had I known that the Beanie Babies were destined to travel the same road as the Pet Rock and Crystal Pepsi, perhaps I would have reconsidered these careless financial decisions.

And I couldn't agree more with my fellow reviewer's ("A reader from danville ill") opinion of this book.

  2. This ia a great idea and I view it as a different product entirely from BBs, which are stuffed toys. If Ty is suing, I wish he would back off.

  3. where can i find new pages

  4. I bought "The Book" so I could keep track of what I have, the cost of each item, along with all the other info. Need supplements for new beanies! Was going to buy Teenie Beanies supplement, but why bother if I cannot get the others also.

  5. I invested alot of money in all your books and supplements, but us Beanie Collectors need to know when you will have supplements so we can bring our books up to date??

1 comments about Teddy Bears (2008 Tear Off).

  1. This book is essentially a photo album of Teddy Bears - no words, just wonderful pictures. The bears are dressed and posed for a variety of situations, such as camping outdoors in a tent, attending school, or building sandcastles at the beach. It can be recommended for all ages, and crosses cultures. Most of the teddy bears appear to be antique mohair, or at the least, well loved. It would make a great gift for a child, or anyone who has a love for teddy bears.

5 comments about Peef the 9" Christmas Bear.

  1. The book is great. My son loved it. Sadly though, it was ordered with the guarantee that it would arrive before Christmas, and it showed up on the 26th. Amazon has been non-responsive and has ignored my correspondence (e-mail & snail mail). So, I would recomend buying the book, just not through Amazon.

  2. This book is magical for kids - I just bought a second one to make sure both of my sons have this book when they are grown and have their own children. The story is about Peef - a bear that Santa makes by hand. Peef is Santa's right-hand "bear", but really longs to be given as a gift to a boy or girl, but he just can't bring himself to tell Santa. Santa figures it out and decides to give him to a child on Christmas Eve. Great lesson about love. Definitely buy the stuffed Peef they sell with the books and then place it in bed with your child Christmas Eve. After the kids have read the book several times leading up to Christmas, and then wake up to Peef on Christmas morning, they feel so special. They believe Santa decided they were the one who was special enough to receive his special bear.

  3. I am so looking forward to reading this to my kids! It really is a cute book.

  4. The book is a great story and even better when you hear the author read it the way he wrote it. It is a great story about Santa making a friend and eventually giving his friend away to a little child.

  5. Santa is up to something! He's asked all of his elves to pick out their favorite fabric and bring it to him. Just what is Santa doing? Why he's making a multi-colored Christmas Bear, that when the final stitch is completed and with a push from Santa's finger, the bear speaks his own name...Peef.

Peef is an important bear. He is Santa's chief assistant and dearly loves Santa. But what Peef really wants is to belong to and bring happiness to a special child. That doesn't seem to be Peef's fate until one Christmas Eve when Santa is one toy short. Peef's dream is realized as he is left behind to bring one special child great happiness.

This is a wonderful Christmas story! It wraps up the gift of love, sacrifice and the sense of belonging all in one little bear. The illustrations are spectacular and will draw children and adults alike into the story.

Armchair Interviews says: This book, first introduced in 1995, is sure to become a classic and treasured by all children everywhere who dream of loving that special bear.

5 comments about Collectors Value Guide Ty Beanie Babies: Collector Handbook and Price Guide Winter 1999 (Collector's Value Guide Ty Beanie Babies).

  1. this book is not good at all.it only contains info about 1999 beanie babies. dont waste your money on this book. you can look up an online price guide on the computer and find the value of your beanies.

  2. This book is nicely done, and has excellent photographs of Beanie Babies. The book is for Winter of 1999. It lacks many of the current Beanie Babies that are on sale now and is outdated. If you need to be kept current this is not the book to use. The current monthly magazines are the best buy for your money.

  3. The cover says Winter 1999 Edition, but the book is 1998 information. It has 40 beanie babies that were listed in the Summer 1999 edition missing, and it only lists the first 9 Beanie Buddies instead of 28. I feel I really got cheated.

  4. This series of books becomes outdated very quickly (every time Ty releases or retires beanies).

  5. this guide is great, it helped me understand beanies when i got started, now i have all but 3 beanies!!!!!!

1 comments about Teddy Tales -- Bears Repeating, Too!.

  1. This is a marvelous, heartwarming book all about those loveable, adorable, teddy bears. Filled with beautiful color photos of a very wide variety of the old teddies (even miniature teddy bears are included)as well as some of your more contemporary teddy bears too. There's a total of 40 stories about bears, the teddy bear owners and related subjects. You'll also read about and see photos of irresistable topics ranging from the mechanical bears, teddy bear books, not so cute looking teddy bears and even lady bears. This book includes over 170 photographs to illustrate the talies and all the other information that is so interesting to read about. It would make a great gift to any teddy bear collector or even the beginning collector! I highly recommend this book, and guarantee you won't want to put it down.
