1. I thought this was a wonderfully good book. It emphasizes the art form, as well as the botany of terrariums. A nice directory of plants suitable for various types of terrariums. The section on Orchids is very provacative.

2. This is the most complete book for reptile medicine. You must have this book if you want to work with reptiles, it shows so many helpful pictures of Surgery, Hematology, Reproduction, Ophtalmology, etc..



3. Dr Frye, a pioneer in reptile medicine and surgery, has provided a lavish 2 volume updated text on veterinary care and husbandry of reptiles. This publication is an essential text for veterinarians or keen herpetologists concerned with reptile care and management. With hundreds of colour plates and many tables and diagrams, a wealth of information is provided.

1. You could write much more extensive book about gouramies and bettas easily. I would have wanted to see much more pictures and more specific information about species. This book isn't bad but it could be much better too.



2. It is concise which is fine and in the beginning has general information that applies not only to Gouramies. Then it describes the various species but there is not enough data about the behavior of each of the species and also not enough information on how to breed.

1. This is an easy read with lots of great photos. The first six chapters discuss general basics for feeding, housing, health, breeding, and include a section on picking out an attractive, healthy animal. The last chapter contains all 25 pet profiles including a description, size and lifespan, natural range, captive care and breeding. In a few of the profiles, you see a comparison of animals with similar needs.
   
   The only reason I did not give this 5 stars was because in the Blue Tongue Sink section (pg 98), there are two paragraphs covering heating and feeding where the information has been replaced with information from the Bearded Dragon chapter. Over all, the rest of the content makes up for this mistake.
