1. Be warned! This little book of lovely Halloween postcards is very nice, but NOT the one shown. 1. The title is simply "Halloween Postcards," not the much longer title indicated. 2. The picture shown in the listing does not appear either on the cover or inside. If you use the "Search Inside" feature you can see what's really on offer, including the real cover. 3. The incomparable Ellen H. Clapsaddle did a few of these postcards but by no means all or even a majority of them, so she can hardly be fairly described as the "author." 4. There are only 10 postcards, so saying the book contains 24 pages (and that includes both sides of the front and back covers!) is again very misleading.
   
   It's a nice little booklet, just not what's purportedly on offer. I was pleased with the booklet, but disappointed to get something different than what was advertised. I don't know if they mixed this book up with a different one (perhaps an earlier edition?), or if the whole thing is just a Hallowe'en "trick."

1. You don't have to know a thing about building and Rick Peters will help you build your deck from scratch.
   The book includes clear and accurate explanations of terms, beam spans, tools, materials and everything else you need to know to build a deck. Step by step instructions with photos are easy to follow.



2. Good book if you are only interested in the very basics. If you want a deck with any style - look elsewhere.



3. Once you know what you want to build, Rick Peters gives you clear step-by-step instructions (with great illustrations) for constructing and then maintaining outdoor structures. I find this book very useful in my business of renovating and decorating porches, decks & gazebos.

1. I love this book! It has useful information arranged alphabetically: very important for the novice collector. My only complaint is that there is no indication of price ranges, in any currency. Would a companion volume be forthcoming?

   It is well-illustrated in both black and white and full-colour photos. Worth owning.




2. check out every postcard artist and dealer from the golden days of postcards. This book makes interesting reading and is a must for all serious collectors. If you only ever buy one book on the subject of postcards then this has to be the one.
