1. A very handy 144 page reference book featuring hundreds of small, full color photos of Royal Copley, Royal Windsor and Spaulding items. This Book II has no repeats from the previous Book I. Major chapters run from Royal Copley-Still Going Strong, The Truth About Royal Windsor, A Warm Experience at Spaulding, to Labels, Bibliography and Source Material. You'll find this handy purse size volume useful as you attend auctions and antique shows.

1. For the money you can't do better than this if you collect Blue Ridge Pottery. Although there are many patterns of Blue Ridge dinnerware not pictured the majority of the most collectible patterns are. The color photos are great and the history of the company is very informative. I have been able to identify more than 90% of the Blue Ridge dinnerware I have picked up at flea markets and estate sales with this book.

1. I waited over 6 months for this lazy excuse for a guide, listing only 1000 shakers. I have about 70 from the 1940's-70's in my collection, and only found 4 in this book. By the authors own admission, he owns over 3000. Why aren't they listed? The pics are nice but the book is very poorly done. Save your money.



2. I am extremely disappointed. Following my mother's recent death, I came across her old collection of over 80 sets - at least 90% of which are over 50 years old. I thought this book would be of help in learning about them. NOT EVEN CLOSE!
   
   While it says it lists "More than 1,000 salt & pepper shakers...." there is no index & no table of contents. Only 1 set that I have was in this book. While there are great color pictures, and similar types are together (sort of), you have to thumb through the entire book to try to find a particular item. Then do it again... and again.
   
   This is a total waste of money and a poor attempt to "Get the Shakedown on Your Collection"! I am the one who got Shook Down.
   
   I recommend trying to find a copy to look through before buying this. I wish I had.

1. I love the colors the way the book it layed out, its just a great book, for wishing, seeing what you got, and just a nice way to spend an evening.



2. This is good general reference manterial providing "some" information on all of Hall's products, but doesn't give complete information on any one pattern or line.

1. I was totally impressed by the Warwick China book by John Rader which I bought from Amazon.com. The entire book is excellent and was exactly what I was hoping for, and then some. This hard-cover book has a great history of the Warwick China Co. in the front, then section by section about the products it produced, complete with lots of high quality photos. Best of all, this book has easy to understand estimated values of each item, which helped me price several Warwick pieces I currently own. This is an invaluable reference book for any Warwick collector or dealer.

1. This book is great. The background text is very informative, yet keeps Santa fun. The book contains a wide variety of items covering many years. I found both the pictures and prices helpful. I'm always very happy with Mr. Longest's books.



2. As the author of this book, I wanted to explain to readers its purpose.
   This book is filled with photographs from many personal collections around the Midwest and also includes background information as to the history of Santa Claus and Santa Collecting. This is my NINTH published price guide for Collector Books, and I have been an author with the same publisher for 25 years. I have never written a response for any of my other books on AMAZON but have been a loyal customer since its inception. Since the very FIRST review was from a purchaser who gave this product a very low rating but did compliment the pictures...I wanted to respond. This book is a general overview to Santa collecting and was intended to be a reference for new collectors, general antique dealers, and people just interested in Santa antique collecting. It is not the ULTIMATE guide to Santa antiques...I am not sure any guide could ever be that. Just know that I spent many months on this project and gave it my best, including personally doing all the photography. Readers who know my work also know that I don't produce "one star" efforts. 3. Photo's in book are very good, however the description of the individual Santa's are poor and the values presented are very inflated. Would not recommend the book.
