3 comments about New Handbook of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks.
- This is the essential book if you collect English pottery. I have found it useful as both a collector and dealer. In fact, my old hardbound copy is falling to pieces from use. I am so glad to have this paperback edition for day to day reference. Dr. Godden has tapped sources for mark information that no one else has used. Everyone copies from him.
- I have several books on pottery. This is the worst. I almost never find the marks I need to find, while the other reference books I have DO have them. I do not recommend this book!
- Geoffrey A. Godden did it again! A book highly recommended for collectors of pottery. Very informative & from a legend of marks. Plus its in a handy paperback form. If you collect, own your own shop, or write collector's books this is a must have for you! Thank you for writing this wonderful book!

2 comments about Collector's Encyclopedia of English China: Identification & Values.
- Mary Frank Gaston's English China provides identification and values for enamel, oriental themes, and other decorative themed china works. The color photos prove an invaluable aid in the identification process.
- Collector Books did not live up to its generally fine quality of productions in this guide to English ceramics. The text is awkwardly written, confusing or contradictory in places, and colorless, lacking enthusiasm. Worse, a very large number of the illustrations are seriously shadowed, a most annoying flaw in an identification guide. On the plus side, the range and selection of objects discussed is ample, and the illustrations of marks are helpful.

1 comments about Old Limoges: Haviland Porcelain Design and Decor, 1845-1865.
- This book is so informative! It has documentation of designs from the old companies. It has pictures of the most beautiful early Limoges I have ever seen. Almost like visiting a museum.

2 comments about Liberty Blue Dinnerware.
- Liberty Blue Dinnerware is compact, concise and provides everything a collector or dealer needs. Debbie and Randy Coe have done an excellent job of providing the history of Liberty Blue Dinnerware with pictures of original ads adding value to the readers experience.
The pictures are excellent and the organization of the book makes it easy for identification purposes including descriptions, measurements and current values. Although the book is a "soft cover" the glossy pages are first rate and enhance the quality of the pictures.
Buy it, use it, enjoy it. Value pricing makes it that much better!
- This book is a MUST for all collectors of patriotic Liberty Blue dinnerware, a grocery store premium that celebrated the Bicentennial years of the mid-1970's. The Coes combine excellent photos, realistic values and lots of historical information in this brief book.

2 comments about R.S. Prussia: The Early Years (Schiffer Book for Collectors).
- The Marples are fabulous researchers and in this book developed a way to identify many pieces of early RSP by keeping a data base of decors and molds and cross referencing them with known and marked pieces.
A Great RSP collection is not complete without some of these early pieces!
- The Marples have done wonderful research in this catagory of collectible porcelain. They established a data base matching decors and molds to document and identify previously unidentifyed pieces. This book shows pieces from the "Early Years" of the Rheinhold Schlegelmilch Firm. While these are not as high priced or elaborate as the later pieces, they are treasures in themselves. This is a well researched and written book...a must for the R.S. Prussia Collector who wants a well rounded collection.
