5 comments about Limoges Boxes: A Complete Guide.
- I purchased this book after I went to a lecture in Dallas, TX by the expert and author of Living With Limoges, Antique Limoges at Home and Collecting Hand Painted Limoges Porcelain, Boxes to Vases, Debby DuBay. I love any book that has photographs of Debby's collection of fantastic Limoges. Highly recommend.
- This book was a work of passion and love for the author who collaborated with many experts using excellent references. This book provides information on antique Limoges boxes versus the W-Clyde books that include brand new boxes. If you are interested in antique boxes recommend Debby DuBay's third book: Collecting Hand Painted Limoges Porcelain: Boxes to Vases
- If you want info on antique Limoges boxes-highly recommend this book. I love the fact the author colaborated with several antique shops where I have purchased several antique Limoges boxes. Highly recommend Limoges Antiques Shop in Andover, MA for wonderful antique boxes!
- This book on Limoges boxes is great specifically if you are interested in ANITQUE LIMOGES boxes!! Great reference book - I have found several dealers of antique Limoges boxes! (I recommend Limoges Antiques Shop, MA) Great collaborative effort with other dealers and authors; rare in the publishing world - but helpful to collectors! This author lead me to DuBay's LIVING WITH LIMOGES. Faye is gracious lady, great author, the perfect mentor, and a wonderful speaker!
- Ms Strumpf is a wonderful, enthusiastic author who has shared her knowledge of Limoges boxes -- along with her resources!! This is the only book that has helped me find antique shops that actually sell antique Limoges boxes! Through her book I have been able to acquire several antique boxes for my personal collection. (In addition, she has mentored several authors to include Debby DuBay, author of Living With Limoges.) I applaud Ms Strumph for being one of the only authors who has collaborated with other authors on the subject of Limoges and for providing good information to lovers of ANTIQUE Limoges boxes.

5 comments about Collecting Lladro : Price & Identification Guide.
- i was/am looking for an indepth price and value guide. this book is pretty but not complete at all. i reccommend the Official Lladro Collection Identification Catalog and Price Guide by Dr. Glenn Johnson for serious collectors. If you can find it! Try Baron Rolen Jewelers in Stone Mtn. Ga.
- Kudos to Peggy Whiteneck for a book that can be enjoyed by collectors and non-collectors alike! The author's knowledge of and respect for this wonderful artwork is apparent on every page. I have been collecting Lladro for many years, and I learned some interesting and useful things in reading this book. I read it from cover to cover on the very first day I brought it home, and have referred to it frequently since then.
This book is a thoroughly researched, beautifully photographed, well-organized and thoughtful treatment of the subject. It is a must for anyone who enjoys the beauty and artistry of Lladro! I hope this is only the beginning for Peggy!
- This is a brand new, 192 page, year 2001 volume with more than 250 super, full color, large, sharp photos. There are over 3,000 listings to help you identify the items. There's plenty of text, and complete item discriptions. There is even information on care and cleaning of Lladro. Information on restorations is provided and when it is worth doing. Current price ranges are shown. Lladro fans will surely enjoy this work. A very worthwhile addition to your collectibles library.
- I do not collect anything. (Except maybe paid electric bills, and family pictures.) I have nothing against those who do, I just never have. This book was referred to me by an acquaintance. And you know what, this is really interesting! This book is surprisingly easy to read, informative and actually enjoyable. It shows a whole world, revealing in the most beautiful manner subtle aspects of an art which would easily escape those, like I, without a trained eye. It's obvious the author's experienced. I'd like another book by her. That's a lot for a non-collector!
- At last!! A book that gives great details on LLADRO. Not only the primary market but the secondary as well. Hats off to Peggy for finally getting "THE HAMMER" some recognition. We have been collecting LLADRO for over 15 years, have visited Valencia twice, and have over 600 pieces - including every clown and amost every harleguin. Most have been purchased on the secondary market. Janet Hammer is the best. I'm glad to see LLADRO has put their stamp of approval on this book, along with some of the premier collectors, by providing pictures and data. A great gift for Christmas. Hopefully this is just the first of many. Getting any kind of old info on LLADRO is difficult at best.

1 comments about Royal Doulton Collectables: A Charlton Standard Catalogue, Fourth Edition (Charlton Standard Catalogue).
- If you collect Royal Doulton, you are probably already aware of the Charlton Catalogues--as far as I know, they are the only current price reference guides. It is black and white, with 32 pages of color inserts of Bunnykins figures. The following is listed for each figure: photo of figure, photo of base, name, number, designer, height, color, dates issued, versions, quantity made if a limited edition, series (if applicable), varieties, and prices for each version in US, Canadian and Australian dollars, and British pounds. (I generally find that figures will sell on eBay for 25-50% of the book value, though rarer figures can be higher).
This paticular guide features figures produced through 2005 (copyright is 2006) in the following Royal Doulton lines:
- Bunnykins Tableware
- Bunnykins Figurines (porcelein and resin)
- Alice in Wonderland
- Brambly Hedge
- Frosty Family
- Harry Potter
- Noddy
- Nursery Rhyme Collection
- Old Bear and Friends
- Paddington Bear
- Rupert Bear
- St. Tiggywinkles
- Snowman Gift Collection
- Thelwell
- Wind in the Willows
- Wizard of Oz
- Disney Characters (101 Dalmations, Cinderella, Disney Princess Collection, Disney Showcase Collection, Disney Villains, Fantasia 2000, Film Collection, Mickey Mouse Collection, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Winnie the Pooh)
- Advertising Characters (figures dating from 1999, in limited editions of 2,000)

1 comments about Royal Copenhagen Porcelain: Animals and Figurines.
- Wonderfully illustrated and very thorough, but difficult to follow. There was more information about each piece and the history of it than I ever expected. Only complaint is that the information is broken up in different tables in the front and in the back; ButI learned a lot about figurines and the history of Royal Copenhagen from this informative book.

3 comments about HUMMELS 1978-1998: 20 Years of "Miller On Hummel" Columns By Robert L. Miller.
- I can't wait to receive my Collectors News Magazine to read the articles written by Mr. Miller. This book is fine collection of opinions, expertise, and knowledge by the King of Hummels. I recommend it to ALL Hummel Lovers.
- A nicely illustrated book of Hummels as seen through Robert Miller. This book gives his details on the rarities and different variations that are found among Hummel figurines. It is a great reference book and I've given copies to all my friends who collect, buy and sell Hummels
- I have 2 other bks of his. I don't like the hummels listed by year at all. Makes it more difficult to look for your refrence #s.The other bks made it simpler to find what yiu were looking for. Un happy that I can't get his 1998 hummel price bk.
