1. Shawn Peterson's Collector's Guide to Pez is filled with useful information on prices and availability of almost every Pez dispenser ever made. Along with wonderful, colorful photos and great details, Peterson has included great information for both beginning and advanced collectors of Pez products. His information on convention, collectors groups, and bargain hunting are particularly useful as a resource. In a hobby as fun and varied as Pez collectiong is, a great tool is needed. Peterson's text is the Bible for lovers of Pez both young and old. This is the only book you need whether you are a new collector or an old pro. It is definetly worth the money and will be a great addition to your growing Pez collection.



2. Many people like myself collect Pez dispensers. It is a wonderful hobby to have because it is virtually impossible to find every variation of every dispenser there is. Sometimes there are many different variations of a single dispenser, for example the colors that were made. This is where this guide comes in handy. In here you will find colorful pictures of almost every known dispenser made, along with pictures of some different variations. This helps you know what you are looking for when you want a certain dispenser. Listed also are estimated values of the dispensers, which is also helpful in giving you an idea of what that certain dispenser will cost you normally. Also pictured in this book are different inserts from the packages, different displays that were available, different flavor packs that have been packaged with the dispensers and even Pez with unique or foreign packaging. This is a great book for collectors and even those who are a little interested in Pez dispensers. The pictures and information make it easier to know what you are looking for, so if you are looking to collect Pez I recommend this guide as it will be a big help to you.



3. Although it's not a highly competitive category, this book takes the top spot in Pez guides.
   Being the newest, it has the most up to date pictures, prices and products.
   The extended section on candy packs, and Pez paper products/inserts is helpful, as other books lacked in that departement.
   Overall it's a solid price and picture book, with accurate estimates and such. It's the best of what's out there, so it's worth a shot.



4. Being a personal friend of Shawn Peterson would probably leave you with the notion that I have a biased opinion. Having known him for a number of years and knowing his passion for collecting PEZ, I assure you that a significant amount of time, effort, and research went into this book. In reading a couple of, what I feel are unwarranted, negative reviews of this book I'd wholeheartedly disagree with their assessment. This is an outstanding book of reference with excellent photography and informative narrative. I recommend it to anyone in the hobby, or anyone simply wanting to reflect back to their childhood and reminiscing about a much simpler time in life. He's done an outstanding job in assembling an historic perspective of the company, rare and unusual dispensers, as well as common variety and new offerings. Buy with confidence and enjoy!

1. This book is a must have for true pez seeking people, the colored illustrations and information is a useful tool, and continues to be at my side always, to look up and review pez's that I am interested in.



2. While I am not one to criticize any comment regarding my books, good or bad I do take isssue on the comment- "This does not have foreign pez in it" - much to the contrary. There are a large number of foreign Pez in this book. Everything that had been produced up to the publish date is included in this guide, domestic AND foreign release . This guide does not get into the mini Japanese dispensers, those are licensed by Pez for Bandai not an actual Pez produced item but a licensed item. There are LOTS of foreign Pez in this guide. -Shawn Peterson



3. Great book for the pez collector. It lists the American pez releases with some of the variations and a possible value. They are in alphabetical order. Shows some from private collections that you will never see or have...lol...
   Has an index for easy look up and a list of terms used in the pez world for the non-pezheads. It IS indeed small enough to put in your purse or backpack to take along on those trips to antique stores, swapmeets, or garage sales. No matter how many times i look at this book i still cannot remember the values so i have to look them up constantly.
   
   This does not have foreign pez in it, but is still an excellent guide. The best of its type on the market i believe.

1. My sons collect Pez dispensers. They are 3 & 5! They love this book (which we purchased on Amazon after checking it outof the library-we loved it so much, we had to own it!) I frequently will find even my 3 year old just sitting & looking at this book. He likes to show which Pez "expensers" he has, and point out which he would ike to have! Great book, well illustrated, fun for kids & parents, too!



2. The Good - there are lots of nice pictures of pez. The bad - good luck finding specific pez, or a real list of pez, because the organization is bad and the index is a joke. Sometimes pez are listed in groups (i.e. to find Olive Oil, look under "Popeye"), sometimes individually (Peter Pan and Captain Hook are in different places), sometimes (frustratingly) it is BOTH, with no cross references. For example, the Disney are not grouped - Donald Duck is seperate from Micky Mouse, BUT the "Disney Extreme" series pez are in their own group (confusingly named "Micky Mouse Extreme" and filed under M) and those pez are NOT found on the Micky, Donald, Goofy pages (and looking up Donald Duck in the index will NOT lead you to the "extreme" Donald on that page).
   
   The groups (or non-groups) appear to be chosen at random, and then later more groups and non-groups were added to this addition of the book somewhere close to the spot they could go (without checking the old edition or updating it). This can be seen by the fact that the book is only somewhat in alphabetical order - somehow "Mimic the Monkey" ended up between "Micky Mouse" and "Micky Mouse Extreme". The upshoot of all this is if you want to just look at lots of pictures of pez, the book is good. If you want to see a particular pez, you might be able to find it - or you might not (even if it is hidden somewhere within). If you want to see all the versions of a particular pez, forget it - they may be strung throughout the book in multiple locations (if they are in there at all).



3. Thiis very descriptive and information Pez book serves as a great visual guide to what is out there in the world of Pez. The photographs are very true to color and clear--an important aspect. I have made reference to it already on several occasions.



4. Pez books are getting better and better. Still leave out a lot of info not covered. But a good help book to new collectors. Cover no Japanese pez at all, and little foreign pez.Would like to see more of encyclopedia try book on pez.

1. Once again Mr. Geary has out done himself. Just when you thought nothing else could be said about PEZ, Geary comes along with a book that is sure to be a hit with the true collectors. 10 STARS if It was possible.



2. This book is the ultimate guide to pez collecting. Very informative and helpful for anyone collecting dispensers. If you don't like this book you probably can't read anyway. Must Have.



3. Don't waste money on this book. It doesn't even deserve one star



4. You you want pictures and prices. This is your first book to buy. The book shows variations of diffferent Pez. The only problem the prices are old. The sale of Pez is exploding and the prices are going up and up, but this book will get you started.



5. This book includes mainly pictures and has more information regarding promotional materials, packaging, and accessories (t-shirts, etc.) than actual dispensers. Some information is slightly misleading but Pez afficianados will have little trouble enjoying what Geary has to offer here. Recommended only if you also have the first book Geary wrote ("Pez Collectables")

1. This book has very colorful pictures and the price guide is extremely accurate. This is one of the best PEZ books ever. If you collect, get this book today!



2. This is the same as all the last. Prices have changed some but they really arent to acurate. If you have any other edition stick with it. The only difference here is a few "new" pics and a new cover...whoopie....This 4th edition could have been much better but falls way short. Only purchase this if you are brand spankn new to pez collecting or if you lost your older edition

1. Good book for the person who loves a large amount of information on Pez. If you are mainly wanting a guide and pictures I suggest "Collectors Guide to Pez : Identification and Price Guide
   by Shawn Peterson". Welch's book gives a LOT of history about the company which may not be appealing to everyone. It focused mainly on history and older pez items than trying to cover Pez in general. Gives a lot of information you won't find elsewhere. The size of this book can prove intimidating to the novice collector :)



2. There's a lot of good information in "Collecting PEZ" by David Welch. Unfortunately, you'll have to wade through a lot of irrelevant stories and details to find it. As someone who has been collecting PEZ for years, I would recommend this book only to the very serious collector who's geniunely interested in how the PEZ company evolved into an international candy conglomerate. For the beginning collector, I would recommend Shawn Peterson's "Collectors Guide to PEZ," which contains more photographs and more current information.



3. David Welch exhaustively investigates the history of PEZ in the US through interviews with former employees of PEZ and early distributors. Included are a price guide; a PEZ timeline; and hundreds of pictures of the dispensers, the people, and the places that are PEZ. In addition, Mr. Welch has assembled one of the largest `paper' collections of PEZ related ad sheets, displays, and premium offers found anywhere in the world and adds many prints from his personal collection giving the reader a true feel for the evolution of what has become one of the hottest collectables today.



4. This book influenced my PEZ collecting greatly. At first, you think PEZ are little character toys that slide out candy. "Collecting PEZ" takes you behind the scenes. It gives you patent information, interviews with employees, a price guide, nice color photographs of nearly all of the different dispensers, and much, much more. It is a very big book and will answer all PEZ questions. I have even heard it called "The PEZ Bible." This is a must-have if you are a PEZ collector.



5. From the 50's to present day, Pez has always intriqued us, What is it about the cartoon dispenser's ready at the tilt of a head to give you a sweet fruit candy to enjoy. This book's brings back those fond memory's of Pez from when you were a child, like the Pez Gun, that you could use to shoot Pez into your Buddy's mouth, which was a real hit with the mom's out there . And also Pez accessories like Pez Jewelry and even Pez Watches, Whatever it is that has fascinated us with Pez in the past years has been captured in this book by David Welch.

2. This book is a must for Pez collectors! I have a huge collection myself, and I still found some that I don't have. It even helped me find the value of my collections, and now I know how much I should be paying when I go searching for Pez. It also includes informative facts and history on these crazy little dispensers.
