5 comments about Angels.
- I read this book over the weekend, and was totally engrossed in it. It tells about the personal accounts that people have with angels, and The Reverend Billy Graham really goes into an easy to read broad description on the subject of angels. I believe that angels do exist and this is a great spiritual and historical Christian book on angels. Well written and anyone who would want to read a great book on angels, this is the book
- Everything you ever wanted to know about angels Billy Graham has supplied in a very interesting way!!
- This book by Billy Graham on angels is based mainly on scripture with only a few real life examples. Graham admits early on that he has never seen an angel but that this book came about as a result of his own extensive bible study. Despite the lack of real life experiences the book is written well and is effective in bringing together all the scriptures on angels. Overall this book is an eye-opener to how powerful angels are, and that they are here to watch over and protect God's people.
Graham attempts to answer questions such as:
What do angels look like?
Do angels get married or have children?
How many angels are there?
Do we have guardian angels?
Do angels experience emotion?
Do angels take us to heaven?
What are the different types of angels?
How many archangels are in the bible?
- Not ordinarily a Billy Graham reader, but in searching for information about Angels, this book kept coming up. I wanted FACTS not assumptions. I found them here.
I was comforted by the knowledge that I gained from this book. He points out Biblical facts in ways that I never looked at them before. A lot of the angel information is skimmed over, but he has really disected it and presents it in a layperson way.
I originally bought this book as a gift for a friend, but ended up purchasing an additional one for myself to have around the house in time of need.
- This is probably the best book I have ever read about Angels. I strongly recommend everyone to read this book.
The book contains 15 chapters about Angels! These are not 15 chapters about Graham's thoughts on Angels, they are 15 chapters about what the Bible says about Angels. Graham adds stories and illustrations from his life and ministry to further demonstrate his point.
The book evaluates and answers questions such as:
Are they visible or invisible?
How are they different from people?
What do they do?
Are they for real?
Are they still around today?
While I cannot say for certain if I have ever seen an Angel, I believe in them because of the same reason Graham does. "I believe in angels because the Bible says there are angels; and I believe the Bible to be the true Word of God." (page 27)
Another interesting chapter was #13: Angels and Death. Believers in Christ do not need to fear death, however, it is natural for man to be afraid of the unknown. I think it is fair to say most people are a little nervous or apprehensive about death. It is comforting to know that Angels will be there to escort me to Heaven after my final breath. Those Angels that have been with me my entire life, will be there to take me to the Creator. That indeed is comforting to know.
I found this book very interesting and easy to read. This is the type of book that once you start reading, it is difficult to put down. However, you really should pause after each chapter to reflect on what Graham wrote.
Again, I highly recommend this book to everyone.

3 comments about Storm Warning (Books on Cassette).
- In "Storm Warning," Billy Graham examines the events of today and compares and contrasts them to the Biblical Book of Revelations. If you are someone who is intrigued by the events described in the Book of Revelations, then you will absolutely LOVE this book. I strongly recommend it!
- We live in a broken and sinful world. The Bible states that all will be cleansed by a great apocalypse. Before this occurs, things will get steadily worse. Billy Graham pulls no punches as he connects the situation of our fallen world to end-time prophecies in Scripture, especially Revelation. The Enlightenment myth of endless progress is effectively challenged by Rev. Graham's writing. If we modern humans are proud of ourselves for our "progress," Rev. Graham's book will serve as an unwelcome but vitally necessary wake-up call. We should stop patting ourselves on the back and rather repent in sackcloth and ashes for such atrocities as "the abortion holocaust," as Rev. Graham titles one of the chapters in this book.
- i've read many endtimes outlines. my favorites r under books at fortbethel.com. the info in, 'storm warning' is a bit dated. buy used.

5 comments about Just As I Am.
- This is an excellent autobiography about the world's most famous evangelist Billy Graham. It will take you through his life and through his ministry. Great book about a great evangelist!!!
- This book was a "Masterpiece" of a book and I enjoyed every bit of it. I could clearly see that God uses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise for his glory. It will inspire and strenghten your faith in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Let me first preface this by saying that I've never actually heard a Billy Graham message but was curious to learn about him given his wide influence both in the religious and political realm. It's obvious why he is so popular he has a great sense of humor and a way of telling storys that while amazingly simple does not insult the intellegience of the listner. Also the fact that his life was good material to work with didn't hurt at all. He's a fascinating character while on one hand he is a throw back to the old school evangelists like Billy Sunday who preached with exuberant energy and strength against the evils of such things as alcohol and secularism but on the other hand he hurdled christianity into the future in the way he worked with several different church denominations and revolutionized evangelism through mass media a feat that has never been equaled sense. Perhaps the most interesting thing about Billy Graham is how such an immedeatly plain spoken individual made such headway with the secular media and goverment heirarchy this is something Billy Graham himself admits belwilderment to on the back cover of the book. His popularity would explain somewhat his influence in government it's clear that politicians thought and rightfully so that his views represented those of a lot of Americans. However there is never really any explanation as to why or how for example he became the first minister to speak at the London School of Business he himself admitted that he wasn't the most intellectual of his peers. Perhaps it is as Billy Graham claims the power of the gospel.
A couple of the things I admired were Billy Grahams honesty when it came to dealing with such things as money and women. I also personally liked the fact that he didn't try to pretend he was more pompous than he really was he's open about experiences that some ministers would no doubt be embarassed by such as going to movies with a lot of nudity at young age, being hit on by a girl in high school, and acting like a bumbling fool around presidents Truman and Eisenhower. As some people on here have alluded to already it does sort of seem like he was an absintee father. I was a bit disturbed by this as a Christian I think God calls married men to be husbands and fathers first and foremost. I have to admit though I think a lesser man wouldn't have disclosed such details as his young daughter not being able to recognize her mother.
- i'm very excited with this purchase. I received the product in very well condition and in good time.
- Unless Billy did a fantastic job in hiding all of the difficult and trying times of his life (as I suspect in the case of his troubled relationship with his son Franklin), WHAT A LIFE this man had!!! Who would not want to have what he had: travels; meetings with the rich, the famous, the wise; success; financial stability; a loving wife; great kids; and most of all, the honor and privilege to lead millions to Christ. Can you imagine the party they'll throw in heaven when he gets there? However, the book was very mediocre in my view. Very seldom the author opened his heart and expressed his true feelings...Lots of anecdotes, details, insignificant (to the reader) stuff; it was not a total waste of time, because you always get the feeling that this man loves his Lord and truly wants to serve Him. Not much to say against that...I just wish he could have made deeper remarks about people and events in general.
