I have been seeing the trailers for the new Poseidon Adventure movie, simply titled Poseidon. I loved the original with Gene Hackman, Roddy Mcdowell, Ernest Borgnine, Shelly Winters, and Jack Albertson. It was a classic movie! Then they made a made for TV version. It was three hours long, and I was excited to see it. But then when I saw it, I was very dissapointed. They had changed the story around, and it was kind of dumb. It had good actors in it, but it was waste. Now with the new movie coming out, the trailers look like they stick close to the story of the original, which was based on a book by Paul Gallico title The Poseidon Adventure. So now I am excited to see the new movie. I think it might be good. If not, I still have the original sitting here on DVD!
