  1. This story was so true to life. I hope women read this before they make a lifelong commitment to anyone. There all all kinds of warning signs that the main character should have seen. Hopefully readers will see them and it will keep someone else from living the same type life. I cried when the character couldn't and I just wanted to help her in some way. You really have to read this one!

  1. This story was obviously written from the heart. The love that Louis & Natalina shared was beautiful. Everyone should be able to find someone that lights up your life as Natalina did Louis. Intimate and touching, I found myself crying and applauding at the same time. Anyone who has had experience with love or with alzheimers would enjoy this book. Easy reading and enjoyable.

3 comments about Dementia: the LOSS . . . the LOVE . . . the LAUGHTER.
  1. Three years ago my husband and I moved in to take care of his 91 year old mother. Now at 94 she is in mid term dementia. After one night when she was having difficulty with sleeping and staying in bed,I began to wonder what we were in for.
I went on the Internet to see what I could find out about Dementia and what to expect. While searching I found a book written by Sunny Vogler. Her mom had dementia. The book was about her experiences. I sent for the book.
When I began reading I could not put the book down. She brought to life what we would be walking into. Her sense of humor throughout the whole of the book gave us both hope we, could do this. I learned to expect the crazy visits from imaginary friends.
The first night my mother-in-law had a lady in her bed trying to steal her walker, I could hear Sunny and remember how she handled these times. I did not have to panic. I could relax and know this is just the beginning.
Sunny brought the truth of how to walk one day at a time. Enjoy the moments while you can. Don't wait until the end to start emptying out the house. Things we did not think about. Who to call when the day does arrive. She has all the names in order.
One of the greatest things was to find her email address at the end of the book. When I go to the pits for a day she is there to anchorage ,and let us know we can do this. It is a must read for those of us who give up our life and move in with our aging parent. Her humor keeps us from getting so stressed about the day mom will no longer remember how to swallow her food or get up out of bed. We have learned from Sunny's book to just enjoy the moment we have.
I have also learned even though I do not have her wonderful sense of humor, I being a serious person, I can trust each new day because I run to the book. Thank you Sunny.

  3. It was good to read to a book about dementia from a writer who knows first hand what it's like to take care of someone with dementia. It was very informative and funny in places. I am taking care of my mother who has dementia and have found the book to be quite helpful. I recomend this book to anyone who is going through the journey of dementia with a loved one.

1 comments about The Story of a Cancer Cure.
  1. This is the kind of book I will read more than once, or even many times. It is a how-to for people seeking to develop their psychic abilities, or self-talk, and help their health in the process. There are other books on inner talk, power of positive thinking, programmed self-talk from psychologists, but this book is written by a psychic. It's not technical, though it will require a close read. Best of all, it's not another formula book from overeducated shrinks and MDs. It is sort of intuitive psychoneuroimmunology, even though that term wasn't mentioned to my recollection. It is like books on self-hypnosis, which teach to access the unconscious. I was very interested in this book because there have been times in life when I'm very intuitive, but it is not an on-demand thing. It is elusive. Often I don't know what will be accurate, what won't. This book offers an alternative to conventional psychology and to Kahuna lore. If I had only a few books for cancer patients, I'd want this book along with The Ph Miracle, Secret Science Behind Miracles (about Hawaiian Kahunas), probably Hulda Clark's and a book on energy medicine. A very curious book, I really like it!

1 comments about I Don't March to the Beat of a Different Drummer: I'm the Whole Band: Perceptions of a Bipoloar Life.
  1. This book is for children, adolescents, adults, nurses, social workers, school councelors, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and Doctors, as well as the general public. This book tells a story about the writer, with humor and also medications are listed. There is a chapter containing the names of famous people that are or have,in the past been Bipolar. There are several pages of web sites to go to for more information and over all, the book serves to educate the public on mental disorders and for answering problems in the workplace for Bipolar People and the Mentally ill. I have heard that the book is selling well in several countries in Amazon stores. There is a section on addictions as well. The index tells you about the humor, as well as a serious look at Bipolar issues, and I highly suggest that the customer be aware that this book is not meant to cast a funny look at the disorder but to offer healing and recovery.
One chapter called We're not in Salem any more Toto: chastises the people that refuse to learn how to help the Bipolar and the Mentally ill. I hope that this helps. five stars!
