- Well written. His true experience held my attention. A fun-loving kid that enjoyed partying with his buddies. First hand info on what drugs did to his life.
- What happened to this boy when he was only 12 years old? Then at 18 he was introduced to drugs, which only complicated his already complicated life. Will his heart rendering hopes and dreams ever become a reality? He had lots of friends and did a lot of things in two short years. And then ---. this book will hold your interest. You won't want to put it down until you are finished!
- Boys do not develop emotionally nor psychologically as fast as girls do. Whey did this experience have to happen when he was only 12? It had a lasting effect on his life. Drugs were not the answer to his problems. Yes, there were good times, too! A must to read! True story of his personal life.

- If you have ever doubted God's existence then this is the book for you. It is about a young girl who loses her mind and unborn child behind the walls of a cold and lonely mental hospital room. Vivid descriptions are given of the events that take place including her visions of the paranormal. The poetry is very prophetic and beautiful. It will touch the very core of your heart. A heart breaking but victorious story of her triumph over self-defeat and a cruel world. A must read for anyone who thinks they have reached the end of their road.

1 comments about My Father Was Bipolar.
- This is a terrible book. The story is very boring. Her father is barely mentioned because he isn't even living in the home most of the time. Its more about what goes on when he's not there. Her father was also never diagnosed as being bipolar, and the author is very unconvincing when explaining why she thinks he was. Anyone who knows anything about this disorder will be very disappointed in this book.

- a good account of a person's struggle through mental illness. A good selection for a psych class, too!

4 comments about Limbo on the Yalu...and Beyond!.
- This was a very inspirational book, about a man who had to sacrafice alot for this great country of ours! The tellings of what he had to go through, and how those friends, he met along the way, helped him get through it all, is just very touching! It tells apart of our history not many people know about, and gives the deserved recognition to those men who fought in the Korean War. It certainly deserves 5 stars! I could not put it down, once I started reading it!
- This book is EXCELLENT! It is one you won't be able to put down... It is remarkable that this is a true story it just shows what our soldiers have truly done for our freedom... This book is one of inspiration and courage... and once your through you will look at life in a whole new perspective!
- This book is one of inspiration and courage... it is one you can not put down... The events these men went through makes you realize what you have in life and how friendship really can overcome all obstacles... I recommend this book to everyone... once your done reading, the triumph of all vetrans will stay in your heart and mind for a lifetime!
- Mr. Sprouse's story is told is plain language, and holds a reader's interest. That means, unfortunately, that there were too many sad, scary, miserable, mistreated days to get through. The POW experience, particularly as a sample of the (under-reported and under-represented) Korean War story, is well-documented. The issue of "progressives" or collaborators is looked at without apology for naming names. The "and Beyond" part of the book is often forgotten more than the Korean War itself; Ted Sprouse and the authors speak for too many men. Not always uplifting, but a seriously good read.

2 comments about No Time Out From Grief: Surviving the Death of My Son.
- I found the book very compeling and my heart went out to the author and her family. The main point I received from the journels were don't forget our family and don't forget my son. I see how very important it is for the families to discuss their loss and remember to them their loved one. Don't be afraid to talk about someones life, they love knowing that you remember.
The book was very emotional but every bit worth reading. It helped me better understand the griefing process and the overwheming pain of loosing a child.
- No Time Out From Grief is an exceptional book and valuable contribution to grief literature. I highly recommend it for the newly bereaved, and especially for newly bereaved parents. Terri and John Huber offer testimony to the healing power of love and hope. One minute at a time, one foot in front of the other, this family learned to survive the tragic death of their son, and readers will gather strength from their story.
