2 comments about Armchair Tycoon: How to Make Money on the Stock Market Without Knowing a Thing About Business.
- from experience i am familiar with the subject of the book well, and it seems to me that the author attempts to overthrow logic in this work. A waste of money and time...
- Hi Readers,
I have enjoyed myself tremendously, reading 'Armchair Tycoon' and 'Poolside Tycoon', by Malcolm Stacey. As a successful and active investor for over ten years, and had read many investment books before, I have finally found two books, which are confidence boosting, truthful, informative, easy and fun to read - ones that I could not put down. They now sit on my desk as reference books. They would make perfect Christmas presents too, for people I care about, and would like them to invest wisely for a better future. All the tools one needs are in these books. Now, may I thank you all, for letting me have my say! Best regards, Readers and Amazon.com. Jo.Bradley.

1 comments about Hugh Lane, 1875-1915.
- Hugh Lane: 1875-1915 by journalist Robert O'Byrne is an impressive, scholarly, in-depth biography of British art dealer and patron Hugh Lane, who earned his way from poverty to fame and respect as a specialist in the great art of the old masters. His work in the creation of public art galleries in South Africa and the Municipal Gallery of Ireland earned him lasting prestige and some controversy, until his unfortunate death on the Lusitania when it was sunk by a Germans in 1915. Hugh Lane: 1875-1915 is the fascinating life-story presentation of a man who lived, worked, and devoted himself to the trading of art.

2 comments about Landlord Tales: (A Landlord's Journal of Chilling Stories).
- This book was a great read. I am not a landlord myself but the stories alone make it worth it! Some are funny, some weird, and some are just downright outrageous. Also, you can learn a lesson or two about becoming a landlord. There is more to it than just buying apartments and collecting rent, and from this person's experience you see it all!
- This is a great book with very interesting tales told by a landlord. The author has a very good sense of humor. Some tales are funny, some are scary, but most are downright chilling! Anyone would enjoy this book, even if you are not a landlord or renter. Good/enjoyable reading - you can read one tale at a time and then pick up where you left off, but most likely you'll be in suspense to find out what else could happen in the real world. I highly recommend this book for anyone!
