1 comments about Giverny: A Book of Days (Perpetual Calendar).
  1. "Claude Monet's extraordinary gardens at Giverny were the subject of many paintings by Monet and his Impressionist colleagues. 'Giverny: A Book of Days' combines Giverny paintings by Monet and other artists with Elizabeth Murray's luminous photographs of the restored gardens. Quotes from critics of the time and brief descriptions accompany the reproductions.

"Pomegranate's books of days provide the perfect way to keep track of anniversaries, birthdays, and other memorable occasions. Not limited to any given year, they are highly valuable long-term personal reference tools. These sturdy hardcovers have superb art reproductions on the left-hand pages, with seven-day grids on the right. ¶ 112 pages, 47 full-color and 5 black and white reproductions, historic photographs. ISBN: 0-87654-429-4; size: 6 3/4 x 6 3/4"."--© Pomegranate

  1. That's also a very good book, it tell a lot

  2. Excellent examples with great direction. It is not the author's fault that I can't produce similar paintings. Maybe one day?

2 comments about The Gardens at Giverny: A View of Monet's World.
  1. Stephen Shore's The Gardens At Giverny: A View Of Monet's World is a breathtakingly beautiful compendium of forty four-color photographs inspired by the paintings and subject matter of Claude Monet and a celebration of the restoration of the gardens at Giverny, Paris. Here are sumptuous images reflecting the many moods and textures of an inspired and inspiring landscape. A superbly presented work of landscape photography as art, The Gardens At Giverny is also available in hardcover (0-893781-113-0, $40.00) which would be the preferred recommendation for academic and community library photography book collections.

  2. This is a great artist's amazingly beautiful garden. And the photographs are not just pretty pictures of flowers, but are full of emotion.

1 comments about Monet: Water Lilies (including 99 illustrations).
  1. I love this book! Monet is one of my favorite artist's and I especially love his Water Lily pictures. The contrasting colors are so beautiful! His art work always gives me a feeling of peace and serenity. Monet is an artist that you don't have to understand the painting but just be able to enjoy all the colors and life that are in them.
