1. The kind of hat that i have been looking for a long time. Looks authentic except the adjustment at the back that makes it modern. But the materials used is worth the amount,the leather looks genuine though it seems a little thin to me. Overall, I'm quite satisfied i bought the product.- Jobas



2. This is a great Leather Hat in the reconstruction of a Civil War Kepi. Although it is said to be black (I'm sure that it is) most lighting makes it appear a deep dark blue as if you were in the Union Army. You may notice that it even reveals in the details that it has a strap. Well, never fear, the strap is NOT plastic and cheap. The strap is leather as well and sewn in securely with a buckle to adjust the size. Once I had a nearer to realism Kepi that was wool, and the band of the hat was constructed all the way around. I found that it made the Kepi hard to wear as it was hard to pull down in front (due to the shape of the hat). The Strap on the leather kepi allows for adjustment so you can wear it lower on the head and wear it high or low.
