5 comments about adidas Men's Samba Classic Soccer Shoe.

  1. Nice and good looking sneakers.
    Very comforttable and pesentable.
My kids are very happy wearing th shoes.

  2. I wear these shoes both for work and when I'm playing soccer on asphalt or indoor. they feel really comfortable and are very easy to clean with little to no damage to the material. I would recommend it for people with narrow feet because they felt small for me since I have wide feet, though it only took a few days to stretch the material for comfy wearing.

I think I might get the white ones as well, would def make a great gift for your footballing friend(s)!

  3. I bought these for my 16yr old son. Trying to find a 14 in this shoe is near impossible. We searched every soccer site imaginable, and found it at Amazon...literally the only size 14 we could find. They were exactly what he wanted and absolutely loves them. They are of great quality. I would reccommend these shoes to anyone.

  4. My Shoes took forever to get here 8 days longer than from Zappos ordered same day. When I got them, they still had the security tag on them. I did not feel that I was duly compensated for my trouble. I will never order from the seller again.

  5. These shoes came fast and in excellent condition. I have now both black/white and white/black pair of shoes. I dont regret buying them.

2 comments about GRAMICCI Men's Original G Short.

  1. If you are like me, you have tried lots of different shorts. Different brands, different materials. These original Grammicci shorts are the most comfortable shorts you will find (once you have worn them a couple of months). If I am not going to be getting wet or jogging, you will find me wearing these.

My only complaint is that they eventually give out sooner than I would like. I am not ready to let go of them when my wife says she has patched a pair for the last time. Like any good cotton canvas-type pant, the longer you wear them, the better they feel. About the time they are soft as silk, they fall apart.

  2. Simplicity is the order of the day with this short - tough, comfortable, basic. How many times have you snagged yourself on the gusset in the pocket of your overly-fancy hiking short? Not with the Gramicci short. This dude was out hiking or climbing when they went to hand out the stupid fancy features!

If I could make it better I would find a way to make the right pocket where my keys and pocket knife and change tougher. Other than that, this is my favorite short - no question.

5 comments about ASICS® Men's Gel Nimbus 9.

  1. I finally ran out of online sources to purchase Gel Nimbus VII last year, so I "upgraded" to the IX.
I have since put on 188 miles on these shoes. A few things I have noticed:
    1) initially I got many hotspots on the shoes as these seem a lot tighter in the front than my previous ones.
    2) they feel lighter
    3) I have recently noticed holes appearing in the left ankle support area on both shoes.

As I have only run in Asics, I feel brand-stuck and therefore find these shoes overall decent. I think there were some mistakes with the IXs which were probably/hopefully fixed with the Xs.
If you have run in the Nimbus' before, I would use these shoes. However, if you have not been sized professional, I would not take the risk online with these.

  2. I've put 50 miles on them so far and I am pretty happy with them. I ran Asics GT 2090 before which are more for stability and I think the Nimbus gives about the same support at a lighter weight. The fit is good and I had no rub points. I hope that the 10's stay close to the 9's becuase I will buy this line again.

  3. This is a very comfortable and light shoe. I use them to run and also to travel. Sizes are rather small, so make sure you order at least half a size larger than you'd normally wear.

  4. I'm a long time jogger, average 2.5 miles per day, for over 15 years.
I bought a pair of Nimbus 9 during Christmas holiday at a local shoe store for $120 which is the most expensive running shoe I ever purchased, since I felt so good after tried it on for a little walking on the floor, and their design, color, and material all indicated a good quality.

Secondly, I was completely ignorant about the need to select a type of running shoe to fit one's foot type, and never heard words like "foot arch", "overpronate", and "underpronate". To me, all running shoes are good for running, and should have no difference for their basic functionality, except their durability, material, outlooks, and price. Based on this assumption, good and expensive shoe should at least be equally good for my daily jogging.

I couldn't be more wrong about this assumption.

For the last five months, I started to have frequent problem with my calf muscle (gastrocnemius muscle). It's kind of sour and tight at first, and progressively became pain, and then went away after a few days break on running.

During the 1st 3 months, the problem skipped my attention since I was on business travel several times during that period, and while I'm on the road I used a different pair of shoes that is preserved for my travel.

But during the last 2 months, this muscle problem of mine becomes chronically worse. And I could not find a rational explanation for its cause. As I compared my current running condition, I could not find any cause, such as change of treadmill which is the same for the last 2 years, or anything else related to my daily jogging.

That is, other than my new shoes!

To find it out, I decided to switch back to my old shoes which were worn out but still in a reasonably usable condition. That was 2 weeks ago. Magically, my calf muscle problem went away for the last 2 weeks, during which time I ran 2-4 miles every morning.

Then, this Thursday (yesterday 06/12) morning, I put on my Nimbus 9 again and did a 2.5 miles (10 laps) jogging. I went to a local community college and ran on its tracking field. Before I finished the 8-th lap, the pain started to come back again and I didn't finish the 9-th lap.

Today, I did some research on the web, and for the first time, I learned that one has to know one's foot type to select the best running shoe. I asked my daughter who's a junior in college and my son who's a freshman in high school, both are sport oriented, and they were as ignorant as me.

I then went on amazon.com to buy a new pair of running shoes. And I noticed, after several searches with various combination of words like "underpronate" and "overpronate", there is no clear information about the type of foot that one brand of running is most suitable.

If you read through the product description on this page about the Nimbus 9, it says that it's suitable for all types of foot. To quote the line here:
"... The broad supportive platform is suitable for a range of runners from underpronators to moderate overpronators."
which seems to imply that this shoes fit all types of 'pronators' except a 'overpronator' that is NOT moderate.

But this seems to be misleading since the very concept of under- and over-pronation suggests that the way of compensation the shoe could do can only be one of the two, never both, since an overpronator tends to wear the inside side of the shoes while an underpronator its outside.

    [...]

    Finally, here's my suggestions.

To us consumers: know your foot type and try to match it with the right type of running shoes (e.g., cushioning, neutral, etc.).

To amazon.com: could YOU and Your sellers to provide clear information about the type of foot that the running shoes are most suitable.

Almost forget to mention that I'm a non-moderate underpronator.

  5. I've owned "lesser" Asics in the past. But I thought, why not go with a nicer model this round? I bought the Nimbus-9, and thought I was fairly happy with it. Then after a few weeks of light running (I'm NOT a huge runner by any means . . . 6miles x 2-3 times a week if that). I'm not entirely sure what type of fabric they've gone with for the interior, maybe it's lighter than the other models, I don't know. But, it's definitley not as durable. Within a month of my "slacker running" which usually involves a bit of walking as well (all on pavement). Both shoes started wearing through the lining near the heel. Alright I thought . . . now 4 or so months in the lining is pretty much destroyed. The top cuff area of one of the shoes is starting to fall apart as well.

I suppose they're comfortable, but so were the Gel Trabucos, and Eagle Trails or whatever they were called that I owned in the past. But both of those models, and no longer used for running but yard-work, and whatever else are in better shape after several years than these are after a few months.

Fit is the most important thing with a shoe, but I'll definitley shy away from any model with this lining again.

5 comments about ASICS® Men's Gel Kayano 13.

  1. I bought these for my son for track season. They held up superbly during training season as well as track season. He had no problems breaking them in. They were used for running on grass, sand, mulch and concrete with no problems. He has been using them for running since track season has ended. They still look fantastic and are not showing substantial wear.

I believe they are worth the money because they didn't cause him pain or any foot problems. We will buy a new pair each season. I highly recommend these.

  2. I bought these shoes and ran the Rock n Roll marathon in them. They were a great shoe for the whole ride!

  3. I ordered those shoes for my dad. He likes them a lot and he told me to order him another pair. Although now he wants to go with the kayano 14. Probably not that much of a difference.
But he really likes the shoes. They are good for his feet and he runs 8 miles everyday so he does need goo equipment, and I like the color.

  4. These are the best running shoes I have ever owned! They are my first pair of ASICS, and I can tell a big difference. When the time comes I will only buy ASICS again.

  5. Great stability and cushioning shoe. I have had trouble with shin splints and my achillies and find these shoes far superior to the 2100 series. Definitely worth the extra money spent, I wouldn't go back to 2100s.

5 comments about Hanes 3-Pack Comfort Soft Waistband Woven Boxers MWCST.

  1. My girlfriend came online to find something for herself and ended up purchasing these boxers for me and I am extremely pleased. They are more comfortable then any other boxers I have worn. They waist band doesnt snug or scratch at all. Its nice to be able to wear boxers and be comfortable in them. I am very happy my girlfriend got these for me. If you want boxers that are comfy and easy to wear, I would recommend these product. You will not be disappointed.

  2. The tag is rubber, and it peels away, AFTER ONE WASH! The peeled rubber tag leaves an ugly blotch on the waistband. A tag is a tag and this is a TAG. Two stars come off for this lie. I'm throwing away the boxers that I have yet to wear and am now going commando for the rest of my life. Just sick of trying to find a real, honest-to-goodness, TAGLESS pair of boxers or underwear.

  3. The service was prompt and my husband is wearing them, so in our house that says it all.

  4. Hanes comfortsoft woven waistband boxers fit me very well; and the quality of the fabric is much better than some other types of boxers they manufacture. I also like that these boxers gives you a pattern on them.

Moreover, these boxers rarely bunch up on me. That's great. They are also permanent press; and this means that they can easily be washed in the regular wash and dryer cycles. No need to worry about the colors of the pattern bleeding onto the white items in your wash.

Fortunately, the waistband is very soft cotton and there's no tag in the back that can feel scratchy! Therefore these boxers feel just fine around my waist. If you desire even more comfort you can wear an undershirt and tuck it in under the boxers so that you'll REALLY feel comfortable!

Overall, I give these five stars. They are excellent boxer shorts. They fit me well and they almost never bunch up when I wear them. Moreover, the fabric feels great!

  5. these boxers are slightly bigger than i expected. they fit okay but I think theyre an inch or two too wide around the waist.

4 comments about Levi's® Strauss 501® Button Fly Jeans Available in Many Colors.

  1. I have bought jeans from elctric kid before and the size was correct. But this particulare jeans - color New metal - was at least two sizes less in the waist. The legs half a size. It was also so washed out that beneat the back pockets there was kind of small balls of cotton all over.

Since I live in Norway and order clothes ones in a while when friends are in the US and can bring it for me - I have not been in contact with Electric Kid about the problems. They would probably have solved it. So - the main issue - the size was surpringsly different.

  2. I bought a pair of these jeans from this seller a few weeks ago and am extremely happy. First off they are the only ones that offer some of the more rare finishes for this particular jean. For example the iconic rigid and new metal colors are extremely hard to find and they look extremely great. I picked a pair of both of these colors and got them for a great deal. And fast shipping too! These jeans are a must have for any classic levis 501 fan.

  3. I bother much made salary this order so that I have not even received the product, the purchase makes it already but of a month it wanted to have answer of that order

  4. While much of the negative commentary concerned Levi Strauss's move away from domestic manufacturing has focused on the button-fly 501s, the bigger problem I have seen is with the old 1970's standby, the 505, which has a zipper as opposed to button fly. The variability on sizing and sew quality with the 505s is an issue if you are going to buy them online or mail order. You really have to try them on to see how they fit. The 501 are much easier to buy online or by mail order because the sizing is much less critical on the waist, which is the so-called "anti-fit" waist, meaning there is no curve to the rise (the distance between the crotch and the top of the waist), because the original 501s were merely cut down bib overalls which were made to hang, rather than be fitted to the waist. The biggest problem I have noted on the 505's is the variability in size in the thigh area, meaning that some fit baggy and some seem rather tight, even though they are theoretically the same size of a label. Since the 501s are more forgiving as far as sizing, if you are buying online you might consider them instead of 505s, unless you don't want the button fly.

5 comments about Champion Men's Double Dry Short.

  1. Very comfortable and roomy. The waist band isn't elastic, so that's a plus. They're also thin and lightweight. Another plus... They're great for lounging and keep me cooler than heavier clothes. Great price for quality. I would buy again. The shorts come to my knees. Not too long and not too short. Any shorter they'd ride up.

  2. These shorts are fine for exercising and running, except that I expected them to be a little longer so they would hide my skinny upper legs - they didn't. A nice feature of these shorts are the pockets.

  3. Not much to say really. These are very good work out shorts. I wear them to the gym on a regular basis and they are comfortable and functional. The pockets are nice.

  4. They're comfortable and lightweight, but they seem to be get energized easily with static electricity. I have carpet in my room, so that probably has something to do with it, but it is still mildly inconvenient in the sense that the charged shorts constrict air flow around my knees.

  5. If you've ever worn an official football jersey (or just felt one in the store because they cost too darn much), you'll love these shorts-- they feel exactly the same. They're incredibly breathable, loose around the bottom, and even have a thin stripe down the side you can't see in the picture. They don't cause any friction (which, if you're a jogger or cyclist is fantastic), and even feel good just to wear for casual use. Definitely worth getting.
