- I researched and researched for hours on the internet. I have the old style cheap thermals that feel like "burlap" against your skin. I wanted something different. So after spending hours online looking at different fabrics, brands, and prices. I didn't want to spend a fortune on something that I might ruin wearing to work in. I decided on the Duofold Midweight thermals.
They are awesome!! From a man's perspective, "soft" , comfortable and easily worn as a base layer. They don't shift or bunch.
Buy 'em!!
- Bought these for my son (a surveyor) and he is very pleased with how warm they keep him in the cold outdoors. They wash and dry well without shrinking.
- It behaved very good during the cold and windy days of ski. An excellent baselayer for milder days.
- Duofold makes excellent thermal underwear for those cold, cold days and nights. The cotton/polyester two layered fabric is actually extremely well made and this underwear lasts years with proper care. It can be worn as underwear under your outdoor clothes or you can wear it in bed with your pajamas on over it. Whatever way you choose you can't go wrong with Duofold thermal underwear.
The fabric is just as soft as they say it is; and this thermal undershirt keeps you much warmer than you think it would. It appears flimsy and floppy before you put it on--but after you're wearing it you'll notice a huge difference. You'll be a lot warmer with it! It also does not bunch or wrinkle easily.
As for maintenance, I just put mine in the clothes washer and dryer and everything always comes out fine. If you have any concerns about the color of this undergarment "bleeding" onto white colored clothing, just wash this with garments that are not white. You'll be fine. In addition, it shrinks very little.
Be sure to check the pricing and availability chart and the merchant sizing chart if you want to order this here.
Overall, Duofold makes one awesome crewneck thermal long sleeved undershirt. I highly recommend this product.

- My husband has used Duofold undergarments as his winter base layer for over 20 years and it has been difficult to find the correct items to keep us stocked. Thanks to Amazon for making products we know to be tried and true available!!! This was an excellent transaction with speedy delivery!

- These are the most skin-comfortable long underwear, that I have ever owned. I will never buy CHEAP, department store, long underwear again.
- For comfort and warmth I have not found a better thermal. Two layers make the difference.
- It was a good baselayer for skiing during milder days, and extremely unexpensive. It fits OK, doesn't bulk in the waist, and leaves enough maneuverability.

- I am 5'10" tall with a 32" waist. I ordered the Medium size which shrank a little after washing in warm water, but are still a little long which is what you want. These would probably work for anyone up to 6' tall. They are quite warm and soft. NY Lingerie has very reasonable shipping rates too. $6 to ship from NY to West coast.
- not as bulky, but the large size is too large for a thin person

- Use this bottom with the Smartwool top. Also check the sizing chart before you order. This material is tough, warm and keeps moisture away from your skin while keeping bacteria away as well. Its comfortable and not itchy - a really nice invention. Great for skiing or hiking.
- These midweight bottoms perform as advertised. I wore them as a baselayer under my gore-tex ski pants last week while at Vail. The temps were in the teens and I was not cold. They are comfortable and warm. I would recommend the heavyweight bottoms if the temps go down to single digits.

- the product worked well, but as compared with another similar brand that still is wearable, the seams on these gave out in the crotch rather quickly!
