- My baby likes these shoes. Every morning he hands me these shoes and asks me to help he put on.
- Excellent convenience and comfort. My 18-month old loves these shoes and they are sturdy and look great.
- These shoes are great- they are wide enough for my son's fat little feet and wear very nicely. He's had them now for a few weeks and they look like I just took them out of the package. Plus they are a great buy!
- My son loves these shoes! Fit true to size, great for his wide ankles and feet.
- Bought these for my 15 month old new walker. Overall, pretty happy with them, but the soles are not quite as flexible as his Tsukihoshi shoes, which he wears most of the time. They also seem to run a bit narrow, as we were told my son does not have a wide foot, but the velcro on these only buckles half-way across his foot. He likes them, though, and they look nice enough to wear even when semi-dressed up!

- I can't tell you how many compliments I get on these adorable shoes! I love that they are soft and flexible so as not to cramp my little one's feet, though buyers should know they are not as soft and flexible as Robeez. Great for keeping socks on.
- I wasn't sure if these shoes were really worth their price, because after all, my son isn't walking yet- why does he need shoes? Now that it's getting colder outside, and after going through many socks that don't stay on, I began to see a more practical use for them (and if I'm being honest, the fact that they look adorable on him was also a factor). In order to find the right fit for my son, I went to Macy's and tried on the Pediped, Robeez, and Stride Rite brands of shoes on him. Although I thought all of them were cute, the Pediped shoes were definitely for us.
The Stride Rite shoes were cute, but are meant for thinner feet (not width-wise, but from the top of the foot to the bottom where their arch is). It was difficult for me to slide the tongue part of the shoe over the top of my son's foot; it just didn't have enough give for his thick little feet.
The Robeez were also adorable, but the toe portion seemed much longer than we needed. (He is 6 1/2 mos. old now, and fits in the 0-6 shoes with about 1/2 inch room to grow). They also did not have a way to tighten or loosen the ankle hole manually. The elastic did have give to it, so they stretch to fit your baby's individual feet; the shoe itself also seemed to be more flexible, so if you can find a pair that really fit your baby (not so much extra length they make them trip) they might be better for crawler/walkers. I know they get great reviews, and we may try these again when he starts crawling/pulling up/walking, but once I tried the Pediped on him, I knew they were the ones for us right now.
The Pediped shoes have an elastic tongue piece to easily allow you to slide the shoe on, as well as a Velcro strap that you can pull across and attach. As far as their look, they're much more like regular shoes, rather than leather slippers with characters on them. Whether you like the cute look, or the real shoe look is up to you, but the functionality of Pediped is the main reason we went with them. We ordered these sneakers from Amazon.com, and couldn't be happier!
Hope this helps your decision!
- These shoes are truely the best next thing to bare feet my son just started walking and these shoes are great for him on his adventures.
- I bought this new pair (and style) of Pedipeds for my son who is just now starting to walk. It's a great soft shoe and great shoe for when they are learning how to walk. It goes on easily and my son just loves them. Also, the Aidan in the navy blue and white is just too cute and goes with most of his clothes.
- My 15 month old son loves his new shoes, but he won't be able to wear them for long. He wears a 5.5 in other brands, but the mediums (12-18 mo) barely fit him right now. The width and height seem fine but the length is almost a size off. Otherwise, these shoes are very well-made and seem comfortable for new walkers.
